Rate this book
Lost in the mountains on a trip to summer camp, eight-year-old Si-Joon fears he'll never make it out alive. When a strange girl in a pig mask appears before him, he follows her to a house deep in the woods, where he is told that he must marry the pig-faced girl to atone for the sins of their ancestors. Si-Joon's not too keen on getting married, but that wedding feast looks so delicious! It's only afterward that he realizes what he's done and...wakes up. Now in high school, Si-Joon Lee has been dreaming about the pig bride for as long as he can remember. But it's all just a dream, right?

As soon as I saw this graphic novel I knew I had to read it. I wasn't disappointed. Si-Joon has a recurring dream of being lost in the mountains as a child, where he meets a woman wearing a tiara and pig mask. He agrees to marry her in exchange for some sweets. Eight years later, on the stroke of Si-Joon's 16th birthday, The Pig Bride returns to consummate the marriage. She is, of course, still wearing her tiara and pig mask. Si-Joon quite naturally thinks The Pig Bride an escaped lunatic, but she won't go away.

She and her female companion (a samurai) set up camp in Si-Joon's school, and soon The Pig Bride is everywhere: sleeping fully clothed in Si-Joon's bed; handing Si-Joon a towel when he gets out of the shower, sopping wet; sewing pictures of her face on all of Si-Joon's clothes to protect him from some nameless evil. About that nameless evil: it manifests as a snake woman who wants to kill Si-Joon. But never fear, The Pig Bride will use her magical powers to protect him!

Si-Joon has not yet gone insane, but it's still early in the series: plenty of time. I don't feel bad for him because he's a spoiled brat and The Pig Bride is a sweet, shy woman who happens to wear a pig mask, which she never takes off. BTW: I'm not sure why the Pig Bride wears a pig mask. They talk about a curse or something, but it doesn't really matter.

All you need to know is that The Pig Bride is romance as it should be.

This may be the translation, but it is hard to follow. And on top of that, the pig bride rapes him? She straight up says "We have to consummate, I am sorry to force this on you", while the MC was sleeping.
This wouldn't be okay if the genders were reversed.
This isn't worth reading, or even trying. Just read the original story of the pig bride.

This is another older manhwa released around 2007-2008, featuring the classic black-and-white art style reminiscent of traditional manga. While the storyline shows promise, the dialogue feels a bit childish at times. I think I would’ve appreciated this manhwa more if I had read it when I was younger.

This is actually a re-read from a long time ago. Still as great as I remember. Finally found the rest of the series to read.

Read this series ages ago, it was alright but childish and simplistic. lovely art work, semi amusing but geared towards younger readers I think.

This is a different kind of story. Si_joon was lost in the mountains when he was younger and was rescued by a girl that wears a pig mask. While he is there he is told that he must marry the girl. Years later when he is high school he keeps dreaming about the pig girl. Wondering if she was real or not. Is she just a dream or is she real. I haven't read volume 2 yet. (I have to find it in my room somewhere). But I did like this first volume and wonder why she keeps wearing the mask. I want to know what she looks like without the mask.

Sooo good.....man, I couldn't stop reading this book it was just THAT GOOD. I think that should probably just speak for itself.

Dieing to read the final volume because so far the story has been just plain awesome. And this manga stands alone - you can't possibly compare it to any other manga, it's just that unique.

So anyone who's curious to find out for themselves, just take it and read it, then you'll just judge by yourself but my opinion won't be changed - this makes my list for being my favourite manga

Actual score : 3,8 (dibulatkan)

COOL HEROINE!

The title character's lack of personality raises my feminist ire. I sort of wish this was a series about Ji-Ho (the male lead's sensible and perceptive BFF) and Mu-Hwa (the female lead's kickass sister/bodyguard). Also, the romanization of the Korean sound effects is dreadfully inconsistent. (As in "u" representing not one, not two, but three different vowels. Aieee!)

I am usually rather picky about Shoujos, so I was really doubtful when I began this. However it is now my favourites. I loved the story and some of the art was really nice.
The edition of this book has a really lovely looking pull out print of Si-Joon amd Mu-Yeon.

If you've ever watched the movie, Penelope with Christina Ricci this is like a Japanese style of the movie, in manga. It's hilarious--so a comedy.

--- Mystery Bride 1-5 ---
Plot: Cepat sambil terus berjalan.
Penokohan: Comedic-- APPROVED! //wrongEnglish.
Gambar: Ok.

XD.

Itulah, pengantin misterius!
Rating dibawah tentu saja tidak misterius (haha).
