A collection of unexplained mysteries. If you're at all interested in this stuff, it's well plowed ground. Still, an entertaining rendition.

‘Curiouser and curiouser’ – fascinating mysteries to explore
Author Bill O’Neill has authored many books on Trivia and is an expert in this field! His topics include movies, football, baseball, wars, rock music, simply random trivia facts, US States, famous events in modern history, and unexplained mysteries. With a nod to providing interesting reading material while passing the time at home, Bill offers a cascade of facts and stories that address curiosity while thoroughly entertaining.
Providing an overview of the topics of interest in this book, Bill outlines his content in the Introduction – ‘When it comes to unexplained mysteries, this book truly has something for everyone – history, science, the supernatural, and true crime…You’re read about mysterious lost treasures, such as the ancient Germanic warlord Alaric’s tomb and the possible location of King Solomon’s mines. Strange science mysteries are also covered, including the mysterious hexagon on Saturn and the bizarre blobs that fell on Oakville, Washington in 1994…’ Whose curiosity could resist?

This is a grab bag of interesting mysteries for just about anyone, delving into true crime, history, science, and the supernatural. The historical span is from ancient times to fairly recent. The author travels along with the mystery, trying to offer solutions or sharing the explanations derived so far. Generally, there are no solutions, just educated guesses. However, the author's writing style is interesting and readable.
There are lots of interesting historical tidbits to learn here but my favorite was regarding the Romans. Because of the shallow nature of their ships, the Romans sailed around the edges of the Mediterranean Sea, rather than sailing straight across. When they wanted to do naval battle, they tended to hire Egyptians, Greeks, and Phonecians to do the work.
There are lots of interesting historical tidbits to learn here but my favorite was regarding the Romans. This is exactly what it's billed as--a collection of delightfully wacky, bizarrely weird, oddly wondrous, and thrillingly whimsical unsolved mysteries throughout the years. It does not try and explain them, but rather provides the available theories and leaves it up to your imagination to fill in the rest.
I rather enjoyed this collection and found it a nice little escape for a few hours. A few of the stories I had heard of but by and far most were new to me. This was a pleasant surprise.

A fascinating short book full of unexplained mysteries from all over the world! However as soon as I got interested in a mystery, it was already over and on to the next one. Each one is only a few pages long leaving you wanting more. Plus, the longer ones seemed like a super boring history lesson, and not as much mystery.

Nice collection
I really enjoyed all the stories in this collection. Very informative and gave me insight into some strange mysteries I had never heard of before. Definitely recommend.

Thought provoking
The mysteries might even be called myths. They spanned time and space itself. Some are farfetched but some resonated with me.
