The lives of mischievous supernatural cats and their people!
Yokai cats: they’re kind of like yokai, kind of like cats. What would it be like to have one of these mysterious creatures for a pet? One has a horn on its head and wears tiger-striped pants, and hates when beans are scattered. Another loves tofu, and another retreats when it’s startled into the seashell on its back. The daily life of adorable supernatural cats and their humans continues!

Another fun collection of slice-of-life adventures featuring supernatural cats. In this volume, we get updates on some of the yokai cats already introduced in the series and meet a few new ones including Sazae Oni (Turban Shell Oni), Keseran Pasaran (Dandelion Fluff), Umibozu (Sea Monster), and the cockatrice-like Nue. I've definitely got a Sunekosuri (Leg Bumper) at my house.
I especially love that even the owners of the yokai cats experience the same relatable struggles of cat ownership from endless brushing to demanding to be fed to napping on that one thing you need.
Cute, humorous artwork.
Such a fun, easygoing series for lovers of cats and the supernatural.
I cannot help but keep comparing this series to Pandania's "The Evil Secret Society of Cats". I like this series...but I feel that the later mentioned is a bit better put together and has a bit more repeatability. This is not in any attempt to make other's not enjoy this series...but it is impossible for me to not think about it as I read this series. That said, the stories are enjoyable and fun. This is a quick read and a page turner but it will consume a bit of time...and that time will feel well spent. Shiro is my favorite cat of the series so far, so every story about Shiro immediately gets a second read through for me.
A collection of comics featuring cats with fantastic/mythical traits.
I liked this collection better than the first one. I felt like these were cuter and more comical (especially for cat owners who will walk away glad their cats don't have any exceptional abilities like being able to extend their necks, grow crazy amounts of fur, be the size of a house, or flock into clouds).
Notes on content: Maybe 1 minor swear, but no other issues.
We meet a few new Yokai Cats here, and see more shenanigans from the ones we know. Super cute desgins as before, my favorite has to be the rokurokubi, Tama. I also love the baby nurikabes.
I have been waiting for this one for like a month :))) There is a snow cat with very pretty eyes, a dandelion fluff cat, and Shiro (who I will leave as a surprise :P) It looks like it’s a day for cats!
These work are light and cute enough that I'll probably read them whenever I can easily get my hands on one. The only critique is that there is more focus on some of the yokai cats that I find less interesting, and not as much on the ones I like the most.
We met more yokai cats in this volume! They're all so amazingly adorable and just plain amazing. Each cat embodies different aspects of a normal cat bringing that real aspect.
I feel like Pandania put most of their best ideas into the first one. And there are already four more volumes! Hard to resist such weirdly warm-hearted comics, though.
So cute! A couple new characters and a deeper look at old time favorites (my favorite is the one obsessed with beans). Highly recommend for those looking for something fun and light!
