EXCERPT: Even though 'the girls' have been home for only a few minutes, Maya has already spread out in the kitchen and is preparing dinner. Herbs weren't the only things she had picked up at Round Swamp market; I can see that she also got salmon, arugula, parmesan, potatoes and crusty french bread. 'Is there anything I can help with?' I ask her pathetically, as if it's me who is the guest.
'Nope,' she says. 'The least I can do is make some meals, since you've so generously agreed to host us. Besides, cooking is like therapy to me.'
I nod at her, feeling gangly and clumsy and in the way. It's strange to be rendered so pointless in my own kitchen, my own life; she's made breakfast for my husband and picked up my child, and now she's cooking dinner in the kitchen she organised.
I know I should just enjoy the help that Maya's offering. It's not like I love schlepping to East Hampton twice a day, every day, to take Kelsey to and from school; I've complained about it plenty of times to Pete. My kitchen cabinets are way tidier now that she's had her way with them. I've actually gotten some decent writing sone and might finally be on the right track with my manuscript. I've done two Peloton core workouts. And it's good to have a break from cooking dinner. It should be, at least. I don't really like cooking.
Unlike Maya, who apparently just loves it.

ABOUT 'ANYTHING FOR A FRIEND': Writer Carrie Colts hopes a move to Montauk will be a rejuvenating change of pace for her family. The last thing she expects to see is her former college roommate on her doorstep. Newly widowed, and with a daughter of her own, Maya would love to reconnect. As a gesture to an old friend in mourning, Carrie extends an invitation to stay. Just for a few days. After all, there are reasons that Carrie and Maya are estranged.

Carrie soon regrets her impulsive offer. Someone has taken a pair of scissors to her college yearbook. Her herb garden is destroyed. She’s starting to receive sinister texts. And Maya is making herself a little too much at home. What does Maya really want? What is she hiding? Carrie’s afraid to ask. Because Maya knows all her secrets and exposing them comes with a price Carrie can’t afford to pay.

MY THOUGHTS: Even though I didn't much like Carrie, the main character in this novel, I just loved the story Kathleen Willett has built around her. Carrie is one of those people who sail through life impervious to the chaos and hurt that they cause. Selfish, arrogant, entitled she may be, but she is also a strangely good friend to Maya her college roommate. Maya is the white to Carrie's black; she is conscientious, loyal, and thoughtful. She is also poor, at college on a full scholarship and has never had a friend prior to Carrie. She is enamored and Carrie's safety net. Yet, after college, they drift apart . . .

Willett writes wonderfully believable characters. She imbues the atmosphere with a little innate creepiness that is as hard to pin down as it was to put this book down. I have read it in one sitting over a wet Saturday. Although I had some idea of where Willett was taking me, I enjoyed the journey.

The timelines switch between the present and Carrie and Maya's college years. The tension increases incrementally as secrets in Carries past are revealed and the relationship between the two women becomes increasingly fraught.

Willett's cat, Mr Sparkles, makes a cameo appearance.

A quick, exciting and fulfilling read.

⭐⭐⭐⭐.1

You gorgeous little thriller!!! I loved @kathleenmwillett debut Mother of All Secrets and I loved this one as well!! ❤️

Your BFF 👯‍♀️ from college cold calls you one day… you haven’t heard from her in years. She wants to get together… RIGHT NOW…😳 … She says she will be right over. WHAT? You just moved here and this is a landline. How does she know your number and where you live??? 🤔 Maya knows about your past… so you have no choice.. but to let her back in your life. 😬

This little cat 🐱 and mouse 🐭 game of Maya and Carrie had me on edge the entire book. Were they really as close as Carrie once thought … or are they frenemies?? 🤔😉 I NEVER even guessed this would take the direction it did. 😳

Secrets 🤫 … Lies… one heck of a twist…😳… This book is a perfectly woven web of deception!!

Can we ever really leave the past behind?

That’s the question Kathleen Willett examines in her upcoming novel where two former university friends play catch up. With so much to hide, this is a wild ride!

Carrie Colt is just settling into her inlaws former home in Montauk, hoping for a change of pace, when a former estranged college roommate wants to reconnect. One thing leads to another, and Carrie ends up offering her home as a temporary respite to Maya, her grieving friend, and Maya's daughter Lola.

She soon regrets her offer.

When strange occurrences startle Carrie, she’s quick to blame Maya. Yet, Maya is quick to defend herself offering alternate reasons or perpetrators. What’s really going on? What’s she hiding? Who does the reader believe?!

The tension increases as readers discover that Maya knows ALL of Carrie’s secrets. Could she be vengeful enough to expose them?

This one lived up to the hype!

I was constantly chasing the truth and making excuses to keep reading. The more Carrie’s life was upended, the more compelling the read became. I was not prepared for the twists and was prompted to add this new-to-me author to my auto-read list. I enjoyed the opportunity to see Carrie through the eyes of her friend as well as through Carrie’s daughter’s eyes, to understand a little more the complexities of desperate teenage choices, to see the danger of keeping secrets, and to see the cost of chasing a different life.

Next time you casually offer that you’d do ‘anything’ for a friend, you may be in for more than you bargained. It’s a weighty word. Be careful.

This is a new author for me and I can happily say I was not disappointed in this book at all.

Carrie, her husband Pete and their daughter Kelsey move to Montauk after Pete inherits the house from his mother.

Carrie receives a phone call from an old college roommate Maya who she hasn't seen in years. Maya has recently lost her husband and before long Carrie is welcoming Maya and her daughter Lola into her home.

Soon strange things happen, will Carrie regret reconnecting with Maya?

This book has dual timelines which I always enjoy as it builds up the suspense. I loved the dynamics of their friendship which seems to be based on secrets which can either keep them bonded together or tear their lives apart!!

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

When Carrie's mother-in-law passes away, her and her husband, Pete, are left with her house in Montauk. They decide to move there with their daughter, Kelsey, for a year and rent out their New York City apartment. One day she receives a call from her best friend during college, Maya. Maya asks if she can stop by since her and her daughter, Lola, are in the area. When they are there, Maya tells Carrie that her husband has recently died. Carrie then offers for Maya and Lola to stay with them for a few days. During their stay, strange things start to happening to Carrie; her herb garden gets destroyed, her manuscript has been deleted, and her phone has been tampered with. She thinks Maya may have something to do with it. But why would Maya want to hurt her?

ANYTHING FOR A FRIEND is just what I needed to get me out of my reading slump. I read this in a day and honestly enjoyed it so much that I didn't want it to end. The story is cleverly written. You get snippets from the past during Carrie and Maya's time together in college and learn a great deal about what their friendship was like. I kept trying to figure out why Maya would just suddenly showed up at Carrie's house when they haven't spoken in quite some time, I will say I was not expecting the reasons of why she did. Friendships have never been that easy for me, so I was clearly invested. Overall, I can highly recommend ANYTHING FOR A FRIEND. I can't wait to see what Kathleen Willett comes up with next.

Many thanks to Kathleen Willett for sending me an ARC copy and to NetGalley for sending me this widget.

I LOVED Willetts debut novel so I had such high hopes for this one and while it was a steady read that kept my attention it wasn’t nearly as good as the first one.

Carrie is a writer and hopes the move to Montauk will be a rejuvenating change of pace for her family. The last thing she expected was her old college roommate to show up on her doorstep with her daughter. Maya’s husband has just died and is looking to get away. It doesn’t take long for Carrie to remember why they are estranged when weird destructive things start happening. Maya continues to make herself at home, much to Carries regret. What does Maya want because it doesn’t seem so innocent anymore? Can Carrie figure it out before it’s too late?

This was an interesting book and it held my interest throughout. I didn’t really care for the ending. Maya and her daughter bothered me from the very beginning and that’s how I know good writing I felt the characters like they were real!

Thank you so much to Lake Union Publishing and Netgalley, @netgalley, for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I am clearly in the minority but I thought this book was just ok. It centers on Carrie, who moves to the Hamptons from NYC with her husband and teenage daughter; then her best friend from college (Maya) shows up unexpectedly. Carrie and Maya have a history that is gradually revealed through flashback chapters intermingled with the current timeframe.

I really didn’t like either Carrie or Maya. What is a shame is that they both had such a soft spot for each other but they never admitted it, instead resorting to catty (and often petty) annoyances with each other. I think I would’ve liked the book better if I saw them admit more of the things they actually liked about each other. I also thought the ending of the book was weird. There were a couple twists but one of them came out of the blue for me and I didn’t feel like it was fully explained. The book was somewhat suspenseful, though, with an underlying creepiness even when nothing outwardly creepy was happening.

All in all, decent read for me with some suspense but ultimately I wanted to strangle these characters for not showing a little appreciation for what they had. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Don't ask me why I skipped ahead from Kathleen M. Willett's debut to Anything for a Friend, but I will not be wasting my time going back to that. It took me a moment to figure out what the author was doing (Carrie in the present and her friend Maya in the past), but once I figured that out, I paid closer attention and I'm glad I did! I really had no idea where this was headed since it definitely has domestic fiction vibes and it turned out to be a real jaw-dropper in the end. I did not at all predict that twisted and somewhat heartbreaking ending, and since it is a bit open-ended, I am hoping for certain things for a couple of these characters. Wish I could say more, but you know, spoilers.

I grabbed the audiobook off of Kindle Unlimited and that route was great for me. I thought Maria Marquis was a fantastic narrator, and she made Carrie especially come alive for me. I would recommend the audio if you like listening to books, but it is so short and pacy that you really can't go wrong with any route. Anything for a Friend is so well written, and Willett's mixing of the 2 viewpoints held my attention completely! I was blown away by how everything came together, and if you are looking for a quick read that is perfect for a day at the beach this is your girl!

I gravitated to this book by its cover (how poignant) and the fact it was a thriller. Carrie and Pete along with their daughter Kelsey, make a temporary move to Montauk, a much needed getaway for each of them for their own reasons, some which hope never to be revealed. To Carrie’s surprise she gets a phone call from her old college roommate, Maya. She is nearby and wants to stop by with her daughter, Lola. In an awkward and tragic conversation, Carrie invites Maya and Lola to stay for a few days. Things aren’t quite as they used to be in college, odd things happen. Secrets, truths and lies are between everyone in the Colts home.

I loved the characters, storyline and the fact i couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed the back and forth chapters between then and now. The gaps were filled in explaining Carrie and Maya’s past friendship and what it was like for both of them in college. But now in Montauk, they take time to catch up as grown women and Carrie shares her inner most secrets of a past affair explaining it was behind her, but is it ? Maya had just recently lost her husband in a car accident but still remains available to support her friend, it’s what she always did.
Lola and Kelsey became fast friends but quickly things went south when Kelsey admitted it was Lola who pulled the fire alarm at school.
Pete and Maya have a past as well, being the three of them went to college together and he was friends with Maya first. This plays a role in several situations and leaves Carrie feeling uneasy.

Secrets are revealed, truths unfolded and a family torn apart. How far will friends go for each other?
I highly recommend this book, I thoroughly enjoyed it !

I received a free copy of this book through Netgalley, that hasn’t affected my rating in any way.

I was totally ready to tear this book apart, but it turns out that good punctuation and grammar editing can really put a metaphorical spring in your reading step (AKA I may be rating it higher than the plot honestly deserved just because it wasn’t littered with errors). There were a couple of missing commas and one sentence that didn’t make sense, but that’s like a record when it comes to Netgalley editing. Carrie was a pretty unlikeable character and I see no reason for Pete to stay with her, but her choice to forgive Maya suspended my disbelief nearly past breaking point. I saw both the ‘Kelsey’ and ‘Lola’ twists coming, but I still enjoyed the reveals well-enough. I think this is my first ‘domestic/is she drunk/crazy or are they really after her’ thriller, so what I’ve heard from booktube is an overused trope didn’t bother me because it was actually my first time reading it. I would consider reading another book by the author.

Suspenseful, with a bombshell twist!

I was sucked into "Anything For a Friend" from the very beginning. It's my first time reading this author's work, even though her debut novel is on my shelf—oops! This story exceeded my expectations.

When Carrie left college, she left her BFF and a lot of secrets behind, so she’s shocked when Maya calls out of the blue. Maya and her daughter are grieving and need a place to spend some time. Carrie reluctantly invites them into her home, but she’s unsure about trusting Maya. Maya knows all the dirty secrets that Carrie has kept hidden from her husband for years.

I finished reading the book in a day because I was so excited to reach the bombshell twist at the end!

This was a slow-burn but consistently interesting domestic drama. We're thrown right into the good stuff which is how I like it!

Carrie and Maya were college roomies and besties that lost touch 20 years ago after graduation when Carrie went her own way with her now husband Pete. We know there's a secret the women share and we can tell that Maya was somewhat envious and resentful of Carrie, as life tended to just be easier for her. Carrie seemed to be oblivious to this.

Maya is recently widowed and calls her best friend to keep her mind off things and Carrie is surprised but happy. That is, until Maya and her daughter get a little too cozy. Maya is walking around in Carrie's husband's clothes and her kid is telling them what to make for dinner. Things just aren't adding up about Maya's story and accidents are suddenly happening around the house, making Carrie's life harder.

Secrets and lies are bubbling to the surface all these years later. Carrie even has some new secrets to really keep things fresh! Can she trust Maya or does Maya want to kick Carrie down a few notches.. or worse?

This is a character-driven drama that pulls you in like a magnet from the start with its juicy dialogue. It's just so easy to follow and you have to know what happens next.

Carrie isn't the most likable character and that is actually appealing to me. She's very flawed but you can understand where she's coming from and how she got herself into some of these.. *situations*. I think most of us know a Carrie. Maybe you're the Carrie!

With shocking reveals at the end, it's a perfect weekend read. I devoured it!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read and review.

When Carrie’s best friend from college shows up at her house, she shares devastating news. Maya‘s husband is dead, and she and her daughter Lola needed to get away from their home and their grief. But Carrie and Maya haven’t been close for years, and Carrie is carrying more than one secret, from the past and in the now. Can she trust Maya and her daughter Lola? Why are strange things happening now that they are staying with her for a while?
Honestly, I didn’t like Carrie much. She was selfish in college and 20 years hadn’t changed her very much. I went back-and-forth, deciding whether or not Maya could be trusted too. As more of their shared past was revealed, I had that feeling, the one where I was sure this couldn’t end well. I was flipping the pages doing that just one more chapter dance until I missed my bedtime. Sorry not sorry. I didn’t love the ending, but the journey was very good.

This wasn't terrible. Intriguing and mysterious plot that kept me hooked. Interesting characters that kept me guessing. A couple of twists. What drove me absolutely bonkers were the specifics of Montauk that were only there to . . . I don't even know. Impress? Love the author knew Montauk well? They went out of their way (dragging the story with them) to add in specific restaurants or aspects every single chapter only people who are familiar with the place would know or even care about. It certainly didn't forward the plot.

Wow! This one gave me Liv Constantine vibes, with a side of Lisa Jewell. Think, The Last Mrs. Parrish and None of This is True. But of course, Willett puts her own freaky spin on it. I’m not comparing Anything for a Friend to the two books that I just mentioned, I’m just saying that it gave me similar vibes while reading. I ended up going the audio route for this one, and I’m so glad. The narrator grabbed my attention immediately, and I was entranced by the slow-burning, yet super addictive storyline. I didn’t have a clue where the plot was going, couldn’t decide which characters I trusted, and my gosh, I liked it. The ending truly knocked my socks off, was unraveled expertly, and blew my predictions right out of the water. If you’re a sucker for a complicated female friendship story, then this is a must-read for you.

Carrie Colts, her husband Peter and their daughter Kelsey end up moving from the city to Montauk, Long Island after the death of Peters mother. Her college friend Maya, who she’s lost contact with, ends up calling her and meets with her and Mayas daughter Lola at the house. Mayas husband recently passed away and needs to get away so Carrie invites them to stay at the house. Strange things happen such as Carries herb garden destroyed, her writing erased and her picture cut out of her college yearbook.

The story has flashbacks to their college years. Maya lived with her grandmother till she passed because her parents were addicts. She was on a scholarship so she studied hard and worked jobs. Carrie came from a well off family who was hard on her and her father passed while she was in school. Carrie was popular but always included Maya and leaned on her.

Maya was friends with Peter first and had a crush on him when Carrie introduced herself to him a relationship of 2 years started. Carrie ended up pregnant but didn’t tell Peter. She convinced Maya to go with her to stay with a couple that would secretly adopt the baby. The man was abusive to his wife and had strange views of thinking but she felt she had no choice.

The twists:
Mayas daughter Lola that came to Carrie’s house wasn’t her daughter but Carries daughter Shauna that she gave up. Maya felt guilt all these years of leaving her with that couple. Mayas real daughter and her husband were killed due to her husband driving drunk because he was an alcoholic and Maya felt guilty because she didn’t answer the phone when Lola called her for a ride.
Carrie had an affair in NYC and ended it when she came to Montauk. The guy texted her and showed up in Montauk but she told him it’s over. Peter and Kelsey end up leaving Carrie to go back to the city after Peter finds out about the affair and that the daughter knew about it. Maya and the fake Lola leave the house for good. Maya comes back to the house where she gives carrie wine with Valium so she could cut her wrists to make it look like a suicide. Maya felt the friendship was one sided and Carrie was selfish about not considering how Maya felt about anything including the moment when Maya was at the house of the couple adopting and she was at the sink when the man pressed himself against her to get a glass of water from the sink.
Shauna felt something was wrong with Maya and showed up at Carrie’s house and threw Maya off Carrie causing her to fall down the stairs. Carrie went to Maya to check on her and when she saw she was ok Carrie put her in her bed to rest and care for her. Carrie realized how selfish and self absorbed she was and wanted to be a better friend to her who went through alot in her life. She also apologized to Shauna for giving her up and not being there for her.

The book was considered a thriller but didn’t feel like it was. Secrets were revealed from the past and present. It goes into the complexities of friendship, betrayal, trust and consequences of actions. The two main characters Carrie and Maya were emotionally unstable and had flaws. I was happy that Carrie recognized her flaws and realized she needed to be a better friend. The author showed how carrie and Maya each reverted back to old and somewhat toxic habits when they were together. There were tension, wounds and unsaid words/feelings between them. Carrie didn’t consider Mayas feelings especially when the man was inappropriate with her and how she felt about knowing Shauna was being raised by him. In the end carrie forgave and helped her friend, recognizing Maya was coping with grief and loss and that her friend needed her for a change.

What I Liked:
1. Loving the flow of the writing style
2. Sucked into this twisted friendship

What I Didn't Like:
1. So many dead parents
2. What is with the obsession of mascara in this book
3. Ending slowed down

Overall Thoughts:
Starting to question if Lola is really Maya's daughter past her 8 years.

The constant jabs and backhand comments from Maya would have me removing her from my house.

I don't need the continuous reminder that Maya knows something about Carrie's past that we don't know as a reader. Say it like a few times and move on. It feels like it's over and over that we are told that Maya knows everything about Carrie.

Omgosh and now we are introduced to Carrie is a sleepwalker.

Not me talking to my Kindle that "Come on Carrie, it was Kelsey that got a hold of Kyle." Think about it! She was up early, had access to your computer, and knew about the concert.

I thought Pete was a pretty stand up dude until he started blaming Carrie for not digging deeper into why Kelsey was acting out. Like isn't he also to blame? Why would the blame only be on her?

Carrie mentions Zzzquil in 2003 but Zzzquil didn't come out until 2012.

I will definitely give it to this book it had this weird way of keeping me guessing but also making me know what was going on. Everytime I was questioning the actions of things in the book the author was right there to give me an explanation. I thought that was great.

The author did a fantastic job at making me hate but then understood the friendship with Carrie and Maya. The way it feels like it's one sided but then the relationship will then shift.

Unfortunately for the book it was predictable. There is no real twists you didn't see coming. It's all laid out for you and a little paying attention and you'll get it. For some odd reason with the way the book was written I didn't mind that it was predictable. The characters are flowed and as much as they have aspects about them it doesn't seem so outlandish or unrealistic that they are this way.

Final Thoughts:
Writing style made this book a breeze to fly through. Chapters are short. For the book being on the small side (less than 300 pages) I felt like I read a 400 page book, but not in a bad way, in a way that was able to make you get character development.

The ending did drag for me though. It ends with them talking it out; first Maya and Carrie (Maya trying to kill Carrie) and then Shanna stepping in at the last moment to save Carrie and them talking about her giving her up for adoption. I suppose it was the talk that needed to happen with the characters but I was just bored with the ending because I already knew how they felt and thought on it, so it just felt dragged out.

Captivating from start to finish! This suspenseful domestic thriller, centered around the reunion of two old college besties with a complex past, kept me on the edge of my seat with its web of lies, buried secrets, & unexpected twists. The author’s skillful weaving of past events into the narrative added depth & enriched the story, making it impossible to put down. The characters were incredibly well-developed, burdened with hidden secrets that added layers to their complexity. Willett’s writing style, coupled with the constant unraveling of new revelations, made for an engaging read. I highly recommend this book to all domestic suspense thriller enthusiasts. This was my first experience with Kathleen M. Willett’s work, & it certainly won’t be my last. I eagerly look forward to reading more from this talented author, & she has earned a spot on my favorites and automatic read list.
Many thanks to #NetGalley, #AnythingforaFriend, & Lake Union Publishing for providing me this ARC. My review is voluntary, reflecting my genuine enjoyment of this fantastic read. 5/5 stars!

Can friendships really stand the test of time. Maya unexpectedly renters Carries life after years of silence. The pair know all of each other’s deepest secrets. Can they stand the test of time?

I found myself getting rather emotional throughout listening to the audio book. Kathleen M. Willett gave these characters empathy and depth while exploring all the insecurities, paranoia and need for acceptance you experience in friendships. I thought back to many instances where I was going through the same emotional gymnastics as these characters. While not all of the feelings that resurfaced were pleasant the characters came across incredibly genuine.

Four Stars - Great read/listen. Highly recommend.

I'm a bit on the fence with this. It was definitely a quick and easy read, you don't have to think too much and the plot carries you along but it just felt a bit slow and not really the "thriller" I wad hoping for. The twists were quite predictable and the ending was a bit too neat and tidy for my liking. I liked the dual timelines but I just wasn't really interested in the characters for some reason. They didn't do anything to make me want to root for them and they seemed a bit shady at times. That's nothing against the book or the writing though! I'd say it wad an enjoyable way to pass an afternoon but not a book I'd be reaching for to read again

That one friend that knows all your secrets, ones that you were trying to put in the past. But when the past shows at your door, how do keep secrets from coming out? I felt this story fell short and I could not connect with the characters and the ending still left me hanging.

Two friends Carrie and Maya, college roommates did everything together, shared clothes, secret's they were family. But sometimes secrets are not meant stay buried.

Thank you to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for a copy of this book for my honest review.

2.5  → I wasn't expecting much, but it was an okay book and served its purpose of getting me out of my slump. The way the story ended, however, made me knock down my rating by half a star. It was so mundane and unsatisfying.

genres/tropes: domestic thriller, dual timelines, etc.

3.5 stars rounded up!

This was my first book by this author & I loved how fast paced the chapters were, as well as the overall length of the book (under 230 pages), which made for a very bingeworthy read.

I felt this was more of a lighter, domestic drama, less thriller-ish. Carrie, Peter, & their daughter Kelsey, move to Montauk to take over care of Peter's late mother's home, leaving behind their NYC lifestyle. Soon after arriving, Carrie receives a call from her old college roommate that she hasn’t seen in years..asking to come visit….

Not only is Maya’s visit suspicious, but between Carrie’s hidden lies and secrets, and odd things that begin to occur, something just doesn’t seem right…

Recommend for a quick, binge-able, domestic drama! Thank you @kayepublicity for my #gifted copy – out 11/14!

Carrie and Maya are estranged college friends. Carrie gets a random phone call from Maya saying that her and her daughter are 10 minutes away from the house that Carrie and her family are staying in. Carrie is completely caught off guard and lets them in…

I was totally hooked right from the beginning. I probably could have finished this in a day because the suspense had me flipping the pages so fast!! There were parts I did guess correctly, however I didn’t see the ending happening the way it did.

If you’re looking for a quick suspense read, I suggest picking up Kathleen’s latest novel!

Thank you to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for a DRC. Anything for a Friend is available now!

This was almost a 3.5 but the ending fell flat. So much potential on how it could have went and it just was ok. I will say that it’s twisty and kept my attention. Some of the twists are obvious and some are surprising.

This was pretty terrible. It didn’t make any sense, the characters were awful and I definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Anything for a Friend by Kathleen M. Willett. Thanks to @amazonpublishing for the gifted Arc ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Carrie has moved to a new town with her husband and daughter. Surprisingly, her old college best friend, Maya, newly widowed, shows up with her daughter. Carrie let’s her stay to reconnect but odd things start happening.

This was a great, suspenseful and dramatic read. I loved how I knew something was off, but there was no way of guessing what was. Don’t worry.. you will find out and then it’s all a whirlwind from there. There was a lot to this story: mother/daughter relationship, history with a secret, infidelity/marital issues, and of course friendship.

“There’s no way to completely cover up something that did, in fact, take place. The blood shows, sometime or other.”

Anything for a Friend comes out 11/14.
