War on Iraq: What Team Bush Doesn't Want You To Know

Rate this book
1. There is no basis for war. 2. Removing Saddam Hussein is pointless given the political environment in Iraq. If the first basis is removed (i.e., reintroduction of arms inspectors) the second will become Team Bush's focus. The resulting conflict will not be a televised in-and-out affair like the Persian Gulf War; there will be heavy casualties on both sides, a complete destabilization of the Middle East, and a terrible backlash of terrorist attacks on the U.S.--exactly the kind of Islam vs. the West that al-Qaeda wants.

Published when Bush was still trying to make a case for the war in Iraq, everything that was predicted in this book has come true. Every easy read, and has a clear perspective.

Bazen bilsek de okuduğumuzda yine de şaşırırız..Ortadoğu’daki yakın tarih hakkında bilgi veren, yer yer şaşırtan bir kitap..Severek merakla okudum.Ve bende nedense 2007 ‘lerde okuduğum ‘2001 Uzay Yolu Macerası’kitabını okuduğum zamanki hissi yarattı.☺️

I bought this thin but hugely informative book when America was preparing g to invade Iraq. The case against WMD presented by its author Hans Blix - the UN chief weapons inspector - convinced me beyond any shadow of doubt that they didn't exist and that a war with Iraq was unjust. Sadly as we all know, Bush's bullshit won the day!

Great Book. Brief and quite Accurate. Aged like a Wine.

The books was written before USA invaded Iraq and the author wrote some strong arguments why USA should not invade Iraq as Iraq have nothing to do with 9/11 attacks & WMDs. Author also mentioned as how Iraq does not need "Democracy", and how democracy in Iraq is bad for USA's national interest.

The books was packed with so much information, my favorite part is where author explains the "dirty business of America". Author explains that USA first encouraged Iraq & Saddam Hussain to go for War against Iran. And then USA, solds 1000 TOW missiles to Iran to use it against Iraq.

The book also tries to show the true face of Saddam Hussain. Unfortunately, some Muslims consider Saddam as a Ummah Here. Where in reality he was just a clown. Iraq lost its liberty because of that clown.

The books fails to mention a good reason why USA actually wanted to invade Iraq, it also mentions that Israel was not behind this invasion. Accoding to "The Israel Lobby"'s authors, Israeli looby was one of the biggest elements behind USA attack on Iraq. I believes the same, I think that was one of the main reason.

Indeed, a great book. The book itself deserves 4 stars but the author deserves an extra star for his courage and good vision. Thanks!

This book reinforced much of what I had already believed but also opened my eyes to how reluctant many Americans are to confront the consequences of their own government’s actions abroad. This was published an entire year prior to their first invasion of Iraq. It still amazes me that so many bought into the War on Terror, targeting a country that had nothing to do with 9/11, as morally justified. Growing up in the Middle East, I’ve always been skeptical of US motives in international affairs, particularly in my part of the world. While I don’t care what the US does within its own borders, I can’t help but see their leaders as power-hungry opportunists set on dominating the international community at any cost.

The only book I've ever read that I can honestly say change the course of my life.

Every word of it turned out to be true.
