Secrets are my life.

But after so many years of living one lie after another, do I even really know who I am without them?

When work explodes—quite literally—in my face, I’m forced into hiding until the smoke clears. Now I’m living in a small town, with the one man who has the power to break down my carefully constructed identity. Ten years ago he walked away without so much as a goodbye and broke my fragile, barely legal heart. Looking back on it, there were so many obstacles in our way, but I would’ve been willing to risk his honor and integrity to have what I so desperately wanted—consequences be damned—if he hadn’t taken the choice out of my hands. Now here we are, older and wiser, or so I’d like to think. Could this time be different?

Except now he’s got a pack to consider and I have a very persistent Beta who refuses to give me any sort of space. For a woman used to handling things on her own, it’s all a little too much, too fast. Add in the threat that’s looming closer every day, and things are about to get messy.

If there’s one thing I need from the overprotective men in my life, it’s their trust. Yet they always underestimate me. It’s cool. I’m used to taking care of things on my own. This girl has everything under control. And when it comes to the men I love, I will do whatever is necessary to protect them.

What they choose to do next…well, it’s knot my problem.

For Trigger Warnings, please visit my website. Knot My Problem is book three in the Knot Yours Omegaverse, a series of fast-burn reverse harem romance standalones. Each book will end in an HEA and lead into the next book with a new reluctant omega and her own possessive, purring alphas.

Sadly, book three in this series fell flat for me. It felt way more focuses on Reese exclusively, than on her and the growing pack. I also hate to say it, but Max gave me weird vibes throughout this book. I didn't feel like the connection between Reese and the guys was very genuine as I did with the other two books, this one felt more forced. Sill a good story and 3/5 stars, just not my favorite.

I enjoyed the book overall mainly for the action, but whew, trigger warnings galore needed. There was an author's note in the beginning, but all it said was that "please do your due diligence, check the trigger warnings on my website, and turn the page with caution." That is way more work than the average reader will do, and I think the warnings should have just been given in the note directly - not even a link was provided for easy clicking. I was personally okay with pretty dark stuff, but the first page literally started with a very graphic abuse scene, and there was graphic torture in the rest of the book, too.

For the record, these are the warnings I finally found on the author's website after clicking around multiple pages to find them:
Content Warnings: Dub-con/Non-Con: FMC on page with someone outside the harem. No forced intercourse - includes oral and anal finger penetration / Violence / Torture

The age gap romance was a pretty big emphasis in the relationships, and I wasn't convinced that it was really necessary or believable. Everyone's personality was quite one-dimensional, and while it was said that all the men in the harem were ex-military, it was hand-wavy. I don't feel like I learned much about most of the men other than a few characteristics - we didn't get anything about their families, histories, or even much about their jobs.

While there were definitely lots of issues, none were bad enough to make me feel like I wouldn't re-read this book in the future if I was in the mood.

Omegas heat save us all!
Ok, I just read 4 Sinclair Kelly's books almost back to back and what can I say- they are all the same, just with a different names and some background plot.
No character development, basic dialogues and plain lust driven stories.
As for this book "Knot My Problem"- I don't think that it needed to be that dark in some moments ( I love dark romance and have 0 TW).
So for now I have my share of Omegaverse books and gonna pause that for some time.
I need some plot in my books.

Felt icky once you find out one of the MCs knew her from a young age, diapers even. That was so unnecessary????? Like the other books before, I wish they fleshed out the characters a little more so we could see a glimpse into their budding relationships and chemistry without necessarily just using smex. I want to see their domesticated side bring on the family game nights! We even got to see the epilogue of all three packs

*sigh*

Hi y’all. It’s me. Avert your eyes now. This is going to be a bit of a roast. You’ve been warned. 🫵🏼😐🔥

I’m going to be lazy and tick off the things I liked vs what I didn’t (this is still going to be long as h€ll tho) so here we go.

Pro’s:

✅ I loved the FL job/ career. I loved how she was an agent working undercover and how gritty and REAL it was to be such as a woman. Her going undercover for her work wasn’t simply a matter of masquerading as a maid and sneaking into library’s to grab intel from documents strewn upon the desk. She had to embroil herself wholeheartedly, body and soul. She was her targets MISTRESS. The book basically alludes that every sexual encounter between herself and a target is a working hazard but really, a rape. She gives herself over sure, but she’s not all into it. She just does it bc it needs done. Bc she needs her targets to let down their guard with her. And I really, really loved how dark her undercover work was. What it asked of her. All that she had sacrificed to be where she was today. Ignoring her designation and instincts and embracing a totally iron will when it came to tackling the mental and physical strain her career demanded of her. She was immediately such a strong and unique FL to me.

✅ I enjoyed the blockers she was on. How objective they made her bc they calmed her biology down to the point she wasn’t driven by instinct all the time. It made her insanely rational and one tough cookie bc she could always fall back on her mind instead of her body and remain level headed. When she goes off the blockers and chooses to stay off of them is where things get a little iffy for me.

✅ Our first meeting between the FL and her longtime flame that absolutely broke her heart, Max, aka Chief. She was so badarse holy cow. It’s the first time they’ve been alone and talked to each other in YEARS and out the gate our FL is feisty and so, so, spicy. She has wit, and sass. She has a real talk and take no BS interaction with this man who spurned her. She has mad self respect for herself and she has anger enough to help her realize she wants no part of him anymore bc she deserves more and she deserves better. That was amazing to me and I fangirled the heck out of it.

✅ Jaxon. Omfg Jaxon. Can I have one? He’s literally perfect.

To be honest, those were the few things stood out to me the most when it came to our girl. Bc from the moment she needs to re-up her blockers things dramatically go down hill from there. So, here’s what I didn’t enjoy.

❌ I don’t feel anything between these characters. Like, I see their relationship, i tag along for the ride as they develop feelings and get to know each other… but I don’t FEEL anything from them.

Ugh, how do I describe this?

Our Beta, Jax, becomes a bit of a given to the FL, like, she’s already got him in her pocket and bc of that safety she just treats him as second best at times.

For Aero, he’s the first alpha the FL sleeps with willingly but he looses his wow factor once she meets and starts living with his pack.

Burke is adorable but we hardly get any peeks behind the curtain with him. His POV’s just have him simping and lusting over her but I wished he would have evolved as a character more after meeting the FL and we could have seen him open up more. Become more comfortable. Confident. Hell, if he had thrown a dash of cocky I would have eaten that sht up too for him. He’s just that mad adorable.

Kess? The classic class clown archetype who’s there solely to provide comedic relief to tense and or serious situations but then does absolutely nothing else. You know at one point, I think Burke hints that Kess likes BDSM, like tying people up, and we never see it. We don’t see his dominance come out to play really anywhere. If anything, Jax is the most dominant out of the lot. And he’s the Beta. We also get the least amount of interaction with Kess despite being hyped up as such a wild card character.

And Max? Gosh, either shoot me or the wishy-washy b@stard. Dear goddess, just make it stop. 💀💀💀 This man is as weak chinned as a cup of Jello out of its mold. Look, personally, I’m pretty cutthroat when it comes to characters spurning other characters in my romance novels. Unless there’s some good and proper groveling with some genuine apologies? I don’t care if they saved all of China- that doesn’t change whatever it is they did and I don’t forgive them. Max betrays her not once (when the first time at least made sense but he still handled it badly as the wiser adult in this situation) but twice (and the second time was an absolute “fck you” to her face, the FL has every right to never want to see him again as far as I’m concerned).

Basically, I didn’t feel like I was getting any sort of emotional connection between ANY of these characters (the FL included btw). Not enough to really feel like they were actually falling in love with each other and making steps to really break down each others walls and forge deeper bonds and connections.

❌ So, that brings us to the emotional aspect of this story I suppose. I needed more. I needed the FL to be more traumatized once she started to relax with the guys. (She did have flashes of ptsd but she literally pushed through those moments so blithely. They didn’t have nearly the respect or accuracy they deserved in my mind.) I wanted her to have more trust issues and be more wary about developing feelings for these men- at least, until she had a better pulse check on Max.

Because in my mind, my logic brain would ration that it’s not completely unreasonable to not invest myself fully with this pack until I have a clearer view on Max’s true feelings. And to convince me of his feelings he would have needed to court me HARD. Sweet gestures. Heart wrenching words. Gritty raw realness and feelings. Respect for the woman I’ve become. Showing that he has the capacity to get over his own holdups because he wants me so desperately… but Max never does that.

It never felt like I was getting anywhere with ANY of these characters. Like, Aero in my mind should be over the moon and completely shameless in courting the heck out of the FL now that he’s found her again AND his pack is already obsessed with her.

Burke (again, in my perfect world) should be showing more character development towards a budding new confidence. I was also hoping to see him feel more comfortable in his own skin in this absolutely heady morning-after glow (throwing off those I-just-had-the-best-s€x-ever vibes)- and transformed into the accidentally smexy all the time character as he cracked out of his shell and started realizing that he’s just what the FL needs. Gosh, can you just picture that with me? The 6 foot 5 hot arse alpha cooking in nothing but sweats and an apron and cocking a sweet but smolder-y smirk at the FL while he just radiates ease and contentment and morning after glow. ARGH! 😫 what I wouldn’t give. ❤️‍🔥

Kess is an annoying gnat that pipes up wherever possible in conversation- hardly crops up in the book itself in terms of interacting with the FL (she never tries to test his games, he never wanders out of his room for snacks and a quick cuddle between development, no “you see me as more than just a mouthy clown” moment. Kess and the FL live in the same house and yet never seem to have any moments shared between them (aside from the pool.) He’s just, a blip on the radar in reality and his only purpose seems to be bolstering the RH numbers.

Jaxon is perfect. But again, he’s set off to the side a lot and even though he’s supposedly unflinchingly loyal to the FL and therefore always on her side- he chooses to maneuver her into forgiving and staying with the pack she try’s to leave really quickly when things get rocky. That was a bit of a bummer for me. The FL was freshly hurt by Max and comes to this realization that he hasn’t changed at all. That despite him claiming he wants her BADLY that longing for her isn’t enough when push comes to shove. She decides that since Max isn’t actually in the game to actually win heart and prove her fears wrong that she’s going to give up on the pack too- since they’re all a PACK. Jaxon isn’t a true part of that pack and he should be 100% focused on helping the FL do whatever she needs to do- gain space, provide a safe buffer between her and them, comfort her and offer advice, heck, offer to run away with her. He doesn’t tho. He immediately manipulates her into staying with the pack (that he’s not yet a real part of) instead of leaving even after knowing that she’s been so badly betrayed again.

Look, again, none of these ML’s felt like they had a real and active connection with the FL (the same for her). I just, didn’t feel any real sparks or a genuine growth of feelings from the lot of them. Those emotions from Like to Love are just, there one day. There’s no struggle. No humbling and leveling 1 x 1’s where these characters are stripped down bare emotionally to each other and baring their souls. Nothing. And it left me totally wanting.

❌ But honestly? My biggest issue in this story was Max.

What he does, has no consequences. It’s all so easily brushed under the rug and forgotten about. Seriously. By everyone.

The first time he leaves the FL she’s upset and hurt of course and she vows never to disrespect herself by chasing after a man who clearly won’t ever pursue her. Then the Mafia thing happens, she needs protection and he twists her arm into living with him and his pack after confessing he’s always had feelings for her… so she moves in… does he make a move on her after she does? Heck no. Does he try and show her he’s changing and working out the kinks but that he’s TRYING for her? Also heck no. The moment she moves in, Max? Max who?? Which one?? And the FL bags the rest of the men while Max fades into the background not to be bothered or touched again until the last couple of chapters when the author remembers him. (That’s forgiveness number one and a shoddy way of proving that he’s deserving of her.)

The second time he messes up- really messes up and betrays her hardcore again? Is when the FL’s dad walks in at the end of some good ol’ happy fun time and flips. Max goes DARK. His brain logs off. He has left the chat. Hes in the room, disassociating hard enough to launch Musks’ next SpaceX rocket and completely silent while the FL tries to stand up for both of them… only to realize she’s the only one in “their” corner. She rushes back to the pack house ready to leave and put Max and his pack behind her, join WITSEC, whatever but then conveniently forgets everything that just happens- flys into a pre-heat- and sleeps with 50% of the pack right after getting her heart broken AGAIN. 💀

Finally, she’s kidnapped right after that. Max gets sternly talked to once by another pack member who he snaps at and then the topic is dropped. When Max and pack rescue her, she goes into Heat, absolves him of everything for the third time and they kiss and makeup.

He never talks to her dad- the whole reason for their messy conundrum- they just dive right into the Epilogues.

He’s never mentioned trying to prove over and over again that he’ll never question “them” again.

That he’ll do whatever it takes and be as patient as possible to win her back after hurting her so badly so many times.

Max constantly does less than the bare minimum. It’s to the point nothing about his behavior or character can be seen as even a little redeemable. Like, not self-reflecting upon himself or apologizing or being made to admit his mistakes by any of the others who should all be shouting “BULLSHT!” as his pack. He never once really owns up to his bad decisions and those he hurts along the way and that disgusts me.

(One of the few POV chapters he has is literally called: “The Chiefs Guide to Getting the Girl: Confess Your Sins and Prey to Whoever May be Listening. Or… Yeah… You can go into a Rut. That Works Too.” Bro straight up yeets having real talk with the FL out the door and just flips his hair and decides just fcking her is cool too. ✨ 🌈😊👍🏼✨)

He might as well have been based off of an incel for all the murder he got away with when it came to his gaslighting behavior. This man got an authors love hall pass or something because in no way did I ever feel like he once made a real effort towards the FL in proving he was deserving of her love and trust again after so much beating around the bush on his part.

This novel wasn’t honestly all that bad. It had things I loved and appreciated the heck out of. And then it devolved into fitting an independent woman- with a career she’s worked d@mn hard for- into this box of home-maker, wife and mother. Nothing wrong with any of that. It was just a tough pill to swallow considering how hard she worked to be where she was. To fight for every step of progression she made as an omega all. By. Her. Self. -But, you know, she’s happier than ever now that she’s finally got a bun in the oven.

Phwoar! My kindle caught fire with this book! A great escape into the omegaverse with a feisty female main character, four awesome alphas and a beta who is an absolutely perfect book boyfriend! The way each character is defined by more than their designation and can have traits of alpha, beta, or omega was wonderfully done. Great series!

I have been with this series since book one and haven’t regretted one page of it. Sinclair Kelly is one of my favorite omegaverse writers, and this interconnected omegaverse series has become one of my favorite things to read, review, and promote over the past year or so.

I have such a thing for BAMF omegas, and wouldn’t you know this book stars one of the best I’ve ever seen in Reese, who is a FBI SAC for their Undercover Narcotics Unit. She’s spent almost the entire time since she first perfumed suppressing her omega nature and urges and living as a beta in order to become one of the FBI’s most highly-decorated and talented agents. But once a job goes a little bit awry and she needs to take some down time so the aftermath can be cleaned up she finds herself in the same town as Bexley and Arden (our omegas from the first two books in this series), their packs, and the pack that is headed up by her father’s gorgeous silver fox best friend (who just happens to also be the town sheriff), a man she offered herself to when she was 18 and was rejected.

This book isn’t as good as the first installment of this series and isn’t as spicy as the second book, but it sure hits a lot of my buttons: age-gap, dirty talk, and some mm action being among those buttons. I greatly enjoyed the plot and the characters, as well.

The sole complaint I have about this book is how rushed it read to me. I know I often complain about books being too long, but in my opinion this book was too short and the story suffered for it. The relationship developments suffered for it. Reese’s evolution and character development suffered for it. And the ending? That was rushed too.

I do have a complaint that is applicable to other books but I saw in this book too: multiple epilogues. This was cute the first couple of times I saw it, but I really am sick of it now. Please, authors, do away with the multiple epilogues.

I was provided access to this title by the author. All views and opinions expressed here are my own. Thank you.

I didn’t like this as much as the previous two, I don’t like age gaps and I’m not into “little girl” / “daddy” at all- luckily this wasn’t a huge part of the novel. I liked how it included characters from the previous books, and the ending was cute, but there were a couple of times I was considering DNF.

This was a great story. I have loved all the books in this series. Omegaverse, reverse harem, thriller, romance. Great world, engaging characters and growth, super steamy, with a dark twist that keeps things pretty intense.
Reese is an undercover FBI agent working in narcotics. She has just escaped a drug lord after being undercover in his organisation for 18 months. Things got pretty brutal. Now, she’s hiding in a little town, because that nasty drug lord wants her back. And not for anything good.
The man hiding her is an old friend of her dads. Things are even trickier here, because Reese has been in love with him for a decade or so, and she hasn’t seen him since she told him so about 10 years ago. So there’s a fair bit of awkward there. Max has known her since she was little, so he’s pretty conflicted about his feelings. Of course, he’s totally wanted her for that 10 years too, and that’s why he left all those years ago.
The rest of the guys have absolutely no problem telling her how much they want her. They were great to read, not to mention hot. Jaxon fit right in with the established pack of four, and it was great to see Reese figure out how to be with decent people. You know, instead of the FBI’s most wanted.
I did have a bit of trouble with Reese and the Chief. I really wanted to like him, he was a good person. But it just felt off to me that he had such an issue accepting his new, adult, feelings towards Reese, but a bit of daddy kink snuck in there without any issue. Though to be fair, it’s just not my kink to begin with. So it might have worked for other readers. I also felt like I wanted the issue of Reese’s dad to be addressed more. It wasn’t a big part of the story, but it just felt unfinished.
Overall though, I loved the action, Reese is a total badass, the bad guys go down and Reese gets to live happily ever after with her men. So I’m definitely a fan.

the juxtaposition of graphic SA and fear for her life versus the ‘romance’ with the guys just didn’t work for me. the SA was graphic, and we’re given detail in this book. yet the rest of the book doesn’t quite carry the same tone throughout, so i’m not sure exactly what vibe we’re going for.

i also just didn’t buy into the pack romances and believe that they all had these genuine connections because we don’t get enough of it. i also hate when our main characters are given one defining characteristic or feature that is brought up throughout the entire book without providing any other details or depth. it feels lazy and it doesn’t help me connect to the characters. let’s discuss here:

1. Jaxon - he’s a beta. but he’s so big and masculine, it’s hard to believe he’s a beta.
2. Aaro - what’s his thing? idk. he’s an agent and he gave Reese a chance immediately. he wants jaxon too. that’s it, i guess.
3. Max/Chief - he’s a big baby and scared of Reese’s dad. he rejected her then and he doesn’t fight hard enough for her now.
4. Kess - flirts. makes games.
5. Burke - shy and quiet. he cooks.

that’s it!!! that’s all you get for these characters! so, soz if you were expecting more.

i just didn’t care for the characters or the story. didn’t work for me.

Where do I even start......
Wow, Reese is so much stronger than I could ever imagine her to be. She is a bad ass  B***h. I totally get why she is so closed off and doesn't want to let anyone one in. She is a rock star!!!  The guys sure have there work cut out for them when it comes to Reese.  Aaro, omg i love him 😍 He just has this pull about him that you can not even explain, and Jax, I love seeing this side of him he isn't at all as I expected him to be he is so much more.  Max needs a good kick in the behind no matter how good his intentions are I still want smack him lol. As for Burke and Kessler they sneak there way into your heart.

I have to say this is the best book!!! It's my favorite out of all in the series and that is saying alot because all the books are amazing.

loved it!!

I am sad that the series is over! I loved Reese and her alphas and Jax. This definitely has the ‘not like other girls’ vibe. But I dug it! Reese is a total Bad***!! There is also a slightly taboo relationship between Reese and her dad best friend.. so definite age gap… I ate it up! I also really loved that Jaxon got his pack too!! I have been waiting.. and not patiently for it. Lol. This was just great! Perfect way to end the series. Please be sure to check out trigger warnings on Sinclair Kellys website. There is on page SA. Kidnapping, violence, etc. Take care of your mental health!!

Fantastic!!
I loved Reese's story! From the first page it captured my attention and i couldn't put it down! There was action, suspense, angst and lots of yummy steam!! 🔥 I feel like we got a little bit of everything in this book.
Reese is truly a bad*ss FMC. She takes no crap. She's confident, smart, and so much more. I loved seeing Reese accept her true omega self. The men had me wishing i was in there pack. They were perfect for her! I honestly couldn't pick a favorite.
I loved it!!!

I’ve been waiting for Reece’s story and it did not disappoint!
Reece has been in love with her father’s best friend, Max, for forever. She put herself out there when she was 18 and he walked away.
It’s been 10 years since she’s seen him. She’s in a bit of trouble and her father asks Max to hide her and keep her safe.
There she meets his pack of all Alphas, Kessler, Burke, and Aaro. She also meets Jaxon, a Beta, who we know from earlier books as one of Bexley’s best friend.
I loved this book. It’s filled with action, love, and learning to accept yourself.

Reese is an FBI agent on the run after escaping an undercover assignment. With the drug lord one step behind her she hides out in a small town. What she doesn’t expect to find are five mates…

Reese is a bada$$ B and her guys definitely have their work cut out for them.

I enjoyed the first two books in this series and this one was just as good. Knot my Problem will give you—omegaverse, thriller, steam, age gap, and A/B/O dynamics that will have you flipping pages for more.

ARC REVIEW

This book is by far my favorite of the series! I was hooked from the first couple pages! I fell in love with Reese and Jax in Knot a Chance and these two and the four alphas own my heart! Sinclair writes so well, I connected with every character! The spice is perfection and the plot kept me on my road from beginning to end! What an amazing journey!!! I can’t wait to read more in this world!

This series is so good! I've loved all the books but this one has to be my favourite. I wanted to scream at Max to get his head out of his backside and man up. Fast paced right the way through leaving you begging for more. I really enjoyed it.

Book 3 in a series of Standalones

💜Sweet Omegaverse RH MMMMMF
💜First person/Multi POV
💜MM
💜No cheating or OW drama
💜Badass FML
💜Kidnapping/torture/sexual assault
💜Age gap
💜Daddy kink

Harem- Reese, Jaxon, Aaro, Max, Burke and Kessler

Warning, this starts off with her being sexually assaulted(forced to give a BJ to bad guy). He also beats her and cuts her with a knife. This is all on page in first chapter. Not the beating part but definitely the BJ and knife carving. Bad guy later kidnaps her and brands her with his name. The bad guys doctor tries to rape her as well.

The guys in the harem are super sweet and caring towards her. Super protective. Max is a grump but would never hurt her.

Reese is a total badass. She is an undercover narcotics agent for the FBI, who is pretending to be a beta when she is really an omega. When she was 18 she approached Max and he rejected her. Then disappears from her life. Fast forward 10 years and this is where the story starts.

Max is an Alpha and her dad’s best friend. He fights his attraction towards her for that reason, as well as being like 15 years older then her. He watched her grow up so he feels it’s ‘wrong’. When he skips out on her, he finds a pack. Unfortunately for him, that pack ends up wanting her as well. He calls Reese little girl and realizes he has a daddy kink when she calls him daddy. The ‘little girl’ nickname is all the time, ‘daddy’ is only a couple times.

Jaxon is a beta who instantly knows he wants her. He is not part of Max’s pack, but makes it clear he isn’t going anywhere without Reese. They go out on a date that she ‘won’ from a contest. During this date, she realizes she needs more meds to keep her a ‘beta’ and ends the date quickly. She contacts her handler to get her more. She has to drive out of town to pick them up. That is where she meets Aaro.

Aaro is an alpha and he on an OP when Reese walks through the door. She helps handle the bad guy and sleeps with Aaro. She doesn’t give him her real name so he has no idea how to contact her again. Until they meet again and he is part of Max’s pack. Aaro and Jaxon end up being together as well.

Kessler is an alpha who retired from the military(I think..can’t remember what he was exactly) and now makes video games for a living.

Burke is an alpha who enjoys cooking and taking care of his pack. He is so adorable and I love his shyness!

4.5 stars.
So. If you don’t check TWs for this book, you might really regret that.
The first thing we open with is an assault. Of the, ahem, ‘oral’, variety..?
Which we got through with Reese, on page. Plus there’s descriptions of physical assault, remembering vaguely, and then later on page.
All of these from an outside villain.
It’s, intense.
I was not expecting it, and it sort of caught me off guard, with it being on the very first page.

Once we got past that though, I really enjoyed seeing all the characters come together.
In different ways, at their own pace.
It was emotional in a few parts, and a bit harrowing, but overall, I think if it’s not something that will harm you to read, I think it’s worth it for that HEA.

The sex was hot as hell.
There was a really satisfying MM relationship that I loved seeing develop.
There was a second chance kind of thing with one of the guys and Reese.
There was a sort of insta love with one of them.
Plus we got a ton of dominance vibes, some spicy piercings, and some really sexy…dessert.🫣

I really loved it.
The humor, the tears, the passion, the vengeance…

Reese was exactly the badass I thought she was, and I loved it.
I’m excited to see what comes next.

TW: Rape on page

This book opens with a detailed sexual assault scene. This is important because "see my website for trigger warnings" is not an appropriate warning for a scene like this.

🌶 🌶. 5

For this review, I'm going to do it in 2 parts. Part one will be what I liked about the book, and part two will be what I didn't like. Let's begin!

Part One:
I thoroughly enjoy omegaverse books. I especially love when the Omega is a total badass who can take care of herself. Reese is the epitome of the word badass. She is a female special agent who puts herself into harms way to help other Omegas and put bad people away.
I love that she stands up for herself, is strong, but also wants to be taken care of because no one has ever done that before. Being vulnerable and willing to show that vulnerability is always a plus for me!
Another positive to this story is the guys Kessler, Jax, Chief, Aaro, and Burke. They are protective but also recognize how capable their Omega is, which will always make me happy.
Another positive of this book is the plot. After leaving her job because she became compromised, Reese is hiding out with her father's best friend/ the guy she was in love with 10 years ago. Not only is she still in love with him, but his pack is drawing her in and making it difficult to draw back her Omega instincts. Add in a Beta who is breaking down all of her walls, a psycho who is after her, and you have a recipe for a hell of a plot!

Part Two:
Now, this is where my review gets a little complicated because I did love the plot and the characters, but there were a few topics that made it hard for me to thoroughly enjoy this book.
Reese has been through trauma. A big part of her job is being put through traumatic situations. However, I feel like her trauma was looked over half the time. I wanted the author to dive in and discuss methods she used to help cope with using her body as a weapon. How that could affect her personal relationships, etc. I have a hard time when feelings are looked over, and I feel they were in this sense.
Something else that was unresolved was the relationship between Reese, Chief, and her dad. What happened? How was that resolved? Why did Chief get away with not defending her? My goodness, the questions just keep coming! I could go on, but I shall let this point rest here.
Lastly, I felt like the MM relationship was forced. There were no cute moments of them getting to know one another. One minute, they were talking about maybe being into each other, and the next, they were in love. I would have loved to see the relationship grow and build along with everyone else's.

With ALL of these thoughts put out there. I did enjoy the book, but with some conflicting thoughts. I would love to hear other opinions because I know a lot really loved this book! So, please don't take my review to heart. These are just my opinions, and everyone should form their own on their own books!

4.5 stars, rounded up for Goodreads-- I loved Reese's book just as much as Bexley and Arden's stories!

Reese is a total badass and her storyline- the undercover FBI agent- was one of the first actual storylines in this series that I enjoyed as much as I did the romance piece. In Bexley's book, the stalker was the backstory, and in Arden's book, her backstory was sad- full of heartbreaking grief. Each time, I was there for the romance and not as invested in the rest. This time though, Reese and her story- her background as well as her current badassery was just so well done and held my attention throughout.

"Shit. I've always been a sucker for strong women. This one is blowing every single one of my fantasies out of the water, and we're not even naked yet."

The guys.... whoa, Nelly. So Aaro and Jaxon were EXACTLY what I was wanting from Locke and Cohen in Arden's story. I kept feeling the foreshadowing between Locke and Cohen... and it kept ALLLLLLMOST happening..... and it never really did, aside from their "man cuddles-" and I was super disappointed. Well, Sinclair Kelly decided to make up for it here when she wrote Aaro and Jax, and I WAS LOVING IT! The scene in the workout room..... IYKYK. Holy hotness, boys.

His voice is hoarse when he says, "I don't know who he is, but the taste of the two of you together is f*cking intoxicating."

I loved the sass that Reese used to communicate with Daddy Max and the way she took absolutely no shit from him. She made him grovel when the time came, put him thru the wringer a little for what he put her through years ago. Every time she embarrassed him publicly as she walked through the door to the police station made me laugh-- it was so her, and he SO deserved it.

"Hi, Daddy. How was your day? Uncle Bastian said you were busy and that I had to ride with him to your work."
Someone close by chokes as another chuckles from within the safety of their cubicle.
Little brat!

The way that her presence affected him throughout this entire book-- from the very minute she came back into town-- even before anything was happening whatsoever- he was such a growly, endearing mess- it was the best. To put the police Chief literally on his knees.... a man a good 20 years her senior- her dad's best friend, nonetheless--yeah, bring it.

The spice was perfect, the ending was exactly as I had imagined. The ending to this one was especially heartwarming, compared to the other two-- I loved how the author wrapped the series in this book. Highly recommend this entire series for a steamy good time!

Rating- 4 good
Heat- 4.5 group and MM
Tropes- MMFMMM, age gap, second chance romance, instalove
Need to know- MAJOR SA trigger warning, includes side characters from previous books

Knot My Problem has all the sweetverse elements that I love.
Insta love ✅
Possessive alphas✅
Men willing to do anything to make her happy✅
Little to no angst between them✅

That being said, do NOT ignore the trigger warnings. Particularly if SA is a trigger for you. This book is an unusual combo of sweet and dark. The relationship between Reese and her pack is all sweet. There is no bullying, no demeaning, no violence. Just a sweet instant connection. With the exception of one pack member, there is no angst between them at all. However, the villain brings a dark edge. We are brought into a few scenes of descriptive SA. In fact, the very first sentences of the book are an assault on our heroine. It’s a bit of a jarring beginning. Especially given its sweetverse genre. The author’s choice to have us experience these assaults so vividly did make us truly see what Reese’s life undercover was like. It’s one thing to be told a character had to sleep with men while undercover or that she experienced assault. It’s quite another to be put into her mind while the assault is happening and experience it with her. The things she both did and had to endure aren’t left vague. The strength of her character is shown clearly as we see what she was willing to do in order to put dangerous men away.

Then men were all distinct, if maybe in a bit of a shallow way. You have the shy one, the flirt, the leader, etc. I would prefer for them to be overly shown with a particular trait than to all blend into one person, though. While not really well rounded characters, I could at least tell them apart. Max was probably the only one I didn’t like. Despite being portrayed as the de facto leader, he came across as weak. He couldn’t make up his mind, he wouldn’t take action, and he didn’t stand up to her father. And even though I love a good age gap, this particular one didn’t do it for me. I’m not a fan of someone who actually took care of the FMC when she was a little girl getting into a Daddy/Little Girl kink.
