Three years after the death of her fiancé, the Marquess of Northhampton, she swears she sees him walking down the street. Why now? She can’t afford to lose her mental faculties after all this time. But then again at his father’s funeral, she sees his specter. That can’t be him under the trees. Because if somehow, he’s alive and not lost at sea, after three years of unspeakable pain, she swears, she is going to kill him.
But when danger begins to circle, Rebecca has to admit, alive or dead, she could only hope to have Bennet by her side. If not him… who is going to save her?
When her fiancé goes missing just days after his brother is murdered, Rebecca believe him to be dead too. And so he is, until the day of his father’s funeral, everything changes. Bennet can’t explain his reasons, but it’s better if things stay that way for now, he can’t put her at risk, she will be if his situation comes to light.
This is very good and entertaining, grabbing my attention from the outset. A gripping story full of chemistry and mixed emotions. Loved it !
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review
This novel brings together romance, drama, and suspense as Rebecca is convinced she is losing her mind when sighting her deceased fiance, not once but twice within a few days. Like a pendulum swinging from one extreme to another, Lady Rebecca could alternatively throttle the man for putting her through so much pain, and feelings of intense relief that Ben is still alive. Finding it difficult to understand why he would put her through so much pain, Rebecca treads carefully, only to find that there is far more at stake than at first realized. Although it is touch-and-go, the novel does come to a successful conclusion as the mystery is unraveled and Ben and Rebecca mend the bridges between them. I received a copy of this novella as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This entire series has been a delight - full of engaging characters & exciting romances & this one did not disappoint!
Lady Rebecca Graham is now a reporter for society happenings for a London newspaper; however, she would rather be investigating crime and criminals. She lost her finance shortly before their marriage, three years ago, and cannot forget him nor has she found any gentleman to even stir an interest in her. The last week, she could have sworn she saw Ben but that couldn't be and then today at Ben's father's funeral, she saw what looked like him again watching the funeral from the trees - she chased him but didn't catch him; is she losing her mind?
Benjamin, the soon to be new Marquess of Northampton, left three years ago - his work for the Crown investigating his older brother's death had become dangerous with villains, smuggling, greed, murder and his worry for the love of his life, Bec, forced him to fake his death to keep her safe and also, to continue bringing down the criminals. He planned on staying hidden from her, but she had seen him at his father's funeral and later found him.
Ben and Bec had a storybook romance and love, but would she ever be able to forgive him leaving her and allowing her to grieve for three long years. Bec knows she still loves him, but how can she ever trust him but when he explains the mission he is on in finding his brother's killers and the Crown's wish for him to find the evil man heading illegal activities, she insists on helping solve the crime and they begin working together with her intelligent mind and attention to details, they begin putting the answer together. This was an exciting, suspenseful, dangerous and romantic story with a couple that belonged together always. I voluntarily read & reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts & opinions are my own.

The sixth book in the series & it can absolutely be read on its own even though previous characters do feature. I think this is my favourite of the series so far, wonderful characters, a fast paced story & a lovely mix of intrigue & romance – all boxes ticked. I loved both Ben & Bec who were given a second chance but an awful lot of water has passed under the bridge in three years. Ben faked his death to protect Bec but can the strong woman she’s become give in to her feelings? I loved their journey to a HEA which was fraught with danger & also a love that had never died. I read this engrossing romance in a sitting & loved it My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Bennet has been dead three years, so why does Rebecca swear she sees him in the woods during his father’s funeral? It seems Ben has been working with the Home Office concerning his brother’s murder, which took place at the same time Ben disappeared. Rebecca, a reporter, wants to work with him to solve his mystery. She’s pretty good at investigations. Can they find the answers? Thrown together in his assignment, can they find the love for each other that they had before he disappeared? It might take a little more than ‘I’m sorry.’ Great story with mystery, nasty villains, danger, and intrigue. The return of the romance is a little slower. The love is there, but so is the pain. Wonderful story with engaging characters. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Missing: An Elusive Marquess: A Victoria Romantic Mystery By Tammy Andresen
I loved Rebecca and Bennet! Author Tammy Andresen gives readers a couple, who were once engaged, had vowed to love each other forever; then Bennet was gone. No one knew what had happened. Leaving Rebecca the only person left to take care of Bennet’s father, then bury him when he died. With the stress she’s been under, she afraid she is losing her mind.
First she had seen the shadow of a man built just like Bennet, but he was dead wasn’t he? Then it happened again when her childhood friend Dillon, Baron Brightmore had accompanied her to the funeral of the late Marquess of Northampton. She was sure she was losing her mind when she thought she saw him leaning against a tree.
Rebecca had a good head on her shoulders so when it was confirmed Bennet was not dead, but hiding, Rebecca was at sixes and sevens with her feelings. Did he still love her? What happened that he had to disappear? Could she ever forgive him?
So many questions and feelings to deal with on top of the fact Bennet is convinced she is in danger. Can they get past what had kept them apart?
This sixteen chapter, fast moving story was chock full of suspense and intrigue! Rebecca and Bennet were made to be together! With new friends helping out will they get the evidence they need to allow Bennet to finally come out of hiding?
A great five star read, I’m just sad that this is the second last book in her Missing: Victorian Romantic Mystery series, they have been some of my favorite reads!
Book six in the Calling all Rakes series, another suspense filled story. This is Bennett and Rebecca's story which is well written with a very good storyline that held my interest from cover to cover. There is drama, danger, suspense, villains and romance. I will be reading the next book. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ms. Andresen does a fantastic job of weaving a story, and Rebecca and Bennet’s story is 6 years in the making. Truly a love story woven in mystery and intrigue. I love how these characters work better as a team than apart. Great book and I look forward to the next one!
I received a free copy of this book from the author. The thoughts and opinions are my own.

Can she overcome the heartache he put her through…
I like this series brings many different circumstances for the main heroes to meet. Here it is a second chance tale as Bennet and Rebecca as they were engaged to be married until he missed his walk to the altar by dying. So she was told. When they meet again, his faked death has altered their path. And while none has been able to forget the other, they are no more their younger self. I loved them both, even if they have made mistakes. Bennet made a choice which came with a heavy price, but he did it out of love. Rebecca was devastated and has never been able to overcome the loss of her betrothed. So when she discovers all her sorrows have been for nothing, anger meddles with joy, her feelings are mixed between relief and a sense of betrayal. Yet nothing is black and white and as they face foes and threats, both have to revise their beliefs and decide what is worth for them both.
A much enjoyable second chance romance with a hero who put his love first. 4.5 stars

I have been granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
FANTASTIC!!! Missing: An Elusive Marquess by Tammy Andresen is book 6 in the Calling all Rakes series and what an exciting series this has been. Though in a series this book can be read as a standalone. What I just loved about this book is the relationship between Bennett and Bec’s. It totally sizzled. Tammy has such a great imagination and I am just love all her book. This one was especially exciting as it really put me on the edge of my seat. I never really knew what was going to happen next. The characters were wonderful and the villain just evil. I also loved the strong women that Bec was. Really not afraid of anything until the moment it happened. This story has a lady reporter, a marquess that is supposedly dead, death, grieving, smuggling, trying to find out who is behind the whole thing, reporting to the queen, protection, rescue, a back alley fight and a second chance at love. I am highly recommending you read this book.
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Is she seeing things? Or is Ben alive? Lady Rebecca just can't believe what she's seeing. Could her fiancé who has been deceased for three years actually be alive? How is it possible? She still loves him and is determined to find out who the elusive man is. After chasing him down at his father's funeral, she finds it really is Ben. She's happy, mad, distrustful and hurt but willing to forgive and help him. Ben is on a mission for the crown. Find out out who murdered his brother and who is heading up the illegal crime ring before he gets himself killed for real. He decides to reveal himself to his Bec and let her help him. She has a different way of thinking that would be helpful in solving the crime. Together they set off to solve the mystery and along the way renew their love and trust. Another wonderfully written quick read by Tammy. There's romance, drama, mystery, suspense, danger and love. I recived this book as an arc and this is my voluntary review..
Tammy has written another smashing good book filled with mystery, suspense and romance. Rebecca and Bennett has the romance part well covered. I couldn’t think of a better couple to take up the duties of working for the crown while trying to protect family and friends. The entertainment was mind catching and most intriguing during Rebecca and Bennetts investigation. Rebecca is my favorite character, mainly because she has a strong intelligence about herself. She is very capable of handling herself in any danger that she encounters. She’s very smart and doesn’t back down from any challenges and most of all she trust and loves her friends. Bennett’s character was more of like the Braun, but that was ok, because it works well with his knowledge of being an undercover agent. I enjoyed the book and the excitement of a heated romance.
Right from the start Missing: An Elusive Marquess takes off in this rollercoaster ride full of twist and turns that will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat. Rebecca fiance, Bennett went missing three years ago and she hasn't stopped loving him. So when she sees someone who looks like Bennett at a funeral service she begins to question her sanity. But as she soon finds out she's not seeing things it really is Bennett.....and he has a lot of questions to answer! Tammy Andresen has given readers a book that is well-written and well paced, with flawed characters who manage to grow and yet retain their personalities which captivates you from the beginning until the very end, with secrets, heartfelt dialogue, and with an plot that keeps you guessing who the villain is that brings this read together perfectly!
Bennet returns from the dead after three years. He’s a spy, researching the death of his brother and treason. He faked his death to protect those he loves, but caused them pain. Rebecca was/ is his fiancé and is a reporter. When she sees him after three years there is fireworks but not of the passionate type. They join together to solve the case he’s working on. It’s an interesting short, fairly logical direct story with a HEA. The characters from other books appear and they start to prologue the last book in the series. Tammy Andresen writes concise stories that warm the heart.
I enjoyed reading about Bennet and Rebecca, how they loved and were to be married only for Bennet to fake his death. He did it to find his brother's killer, he wasn't as good at staying invisible, Rebecca saw him twice and thought she was seeing things and decided to camp out at the cemetery where his father had just been buried and it proved to have been the right choice cause she caught him. They worked together to solve his case and almost lost her life, he saved her. I highly recommend this book! 👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤
A wonderful addition to the series, this is about Rebecca and Bennet who were in love and engaged to each other until Bennet died. Three years have passed, and Bennet is not dead but alive. This is the story of them finding and trusting each other. There is mystery in this book, but it is not overwhelming that it takes away from the love story. I received an ARC of this book and am leaving my honest opinion.
When a ghost appears from the past, Rebecca cannot believe her eyes! Her fiance Ben had been lost at sea over 3 years ago and now he was back, at his father's funeral.
Ben had been ferreted away on an assignment for the crown and knew he might not be able to win Becca back.
But a few villains bring danger, it seems they will be thrown together and love will find a way. Won't it? Simply wonderful!
Another great book by MS Andresen. So sad to see that only one more book and the series will end. I enjoy the way each of the books interact with each other. Makes for very interesting reading. I know that MS Andersen has other series and have enjoyed them also and there's a few new one in a couple of the series. Hope for more by this author in the future. Such a good writer
I give this book 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the camaraderie of the men and how helpful they are with one another, but there were aspects of the relationship between Rebecca and Bennet that were annoying. Rebecca seemed unreasonable in her lingering anger with him even though he clearly stayed away to protect her. It took people almost dying before she got it even though his brother had already been murdered.
And I can't wait! What an exciting beginning. he's been missing and presumed dead for three years! She's been heartbroken the whole time. But there's a man that looks jyst like him standing off in the distance at his father's funeral! Could it be him? So, so good!!!
I’ve been waiting for Rebecca and Bennet’s story since I read the snippet in the last book. The author did not disappoint! Having been apart for so long could their love resurface? Finding who killed his brother was why Bennet had disappeared and thought dead for three long years. Together can they solve the mystery?
Tammy Andersen has written Missing: An Elusive Marquees which is book six in Calling All Rakes series. Bennett is engaged to Rebecca but there is a murderer that causes him to disappear for six years to keep Rebecca safe. After a mystery is solved they finally have their HEA.
Lovely story!! They have loved each other since childhood. Bennett and Rebecca found a love like no other until tragedy struck. Rebecca has rebuilt her life without Bennett. When he comes back from the dead, there just might not be a place for him anymore.
A great read as usual with likeable character's who are mad for each other. That being said I'm not sure I would have been quite so forgiving of Bennet pretending to be dead without telling me or his poor father. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Loved this book. As you can see from start and finish date could not put it down. Heroine sees ‘dead’ fiancé not once but twice after three years she is extremely angry and confronts him. From here we are taken on a dangerous journey but lovers triumph. I would recommend this series
Lost in death but reunited in love. A spy fakes his death, then loses years of life trying to investigate the threat. His love becomes a reporter, and when the two of them get together - they quickly solve the crime. Entertaining.
