Things seem to progress so rapidly this volume, I'm not sure how there can be four more volumes left in the series. I worry it will become repetitive and silly soon with the constant love confessions and always shifting love triangles. But I'm fine for now.

Though I'm still fuzzy about the portrayal of love interest Kousuke Ida. Is he demisexual? Asexual? Aromantic? On the autism spectrum? He remains a bit of an enigma.

I *adore* this series!!! It's so funny, I basically giggled my way through it.. Also it's sooo cute? And wholesome? It just makes me so incredibly happy. Aoki is a cinnamon roll, trying to help Hashimoto with winning Akkun over. Ida is such a sweetheart and he's already an expert at understanding and helping Aoki. Hashimoto is the most precious, I love her!!!

The art is incredible, so many panels could be used as memes/reaction images.

There's not a ton of plot progression to this volume, but what we have is important. Mostly this is due to the fact that it continues to explore the idea of who you like and why while simultaneously having nothing to do with gender or sexuality; it's tackling the topic from a strictly emotional point of view. Aoki finally confessing to Ida means that the other boy is really starting to think about his feelings and to realize that maybe there's more going on than he initially thought when it comes to Aoki, while Hashimoto is forced to realize that events that meant the world to her weren't even on Aida's radar. Aida again comes off as surprisingly not terrible, which may be the volume's biggest triumph; it would have been so easy to just make him a superficial jerk. But everyone's got their own perspective, and that this series (and this book in particular) really remembers that elevates it above a lot of other romantic comedies.

Now if it could just stop it with the needless gorilla faces, it'd be damn near perfect.

Another cute volume!

This time our boys make their decision to begin dating. I really enjoy the fact that dating in this, no matter the attraction to whatever gender, is treated with ease. Like it's natural, as it should feel and be, but it's nice to see that here. I also really enjoyed that both our main leads push to see if their feelings will be taken, and it doesn't always work out.

Overall if like romance, comedy, and heartfelt moments, this series does a lot right.

Trying to catch up to the live action. They blew through a lot of the manga very quickly!

Still so cute! I love how hard Aoki tries to help his friends! He’s such a sweetheart! And Ida is so kind and helpful. I love how much he tries to get Aoki to believe in himself! And I love Aoki and Hashimoto’s friendship!

This series is so refreshing 🥺💖

The characters are incredibly wholesome, and each of them is so unique and needs to be protected at all costs! I absolutely adore how the emotional growths and character developments of them all are thoroughly explored through incredibly nostalgic depictions of coming-of-age struggles.

(Insecure, kind, bi Aoki has my entire heart, I feel so much for him. IT'S OKAY BABY BOY YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL AND THINGS CAN ONLY COME UP ROSES FOR YOU.)

Did I just inhale volumes 2 and 3 in one night with my heart bursting at the seams and the need to scream so evident? YES. This series is starting to become the only sunshine in my very busy and stressful past few days.
