All was well until, one day, the world shook.

The Hero wanted nothing to do with it and went to sleep. The next day, he went outside and saw that his property had been transferred to yet another world.

Once more, he had been summoned, but this time, he refused it. He didn’t care. The Hero was done. He was going to live a slow life in his cottage.

That’s what he wanted to do, but this new world may have other things in mind, such as a certain loud and proud wolf girl.

Author: can't you make the boobs bigger?
Artist: Um. Yeah, hang on. [selects a circle, drags it bigger]
Artist: How's that?
Author: Awesome!

Urg. These covers. Which is too bad because, while there are sexy times in the story, it's not that foregrounded. Sigh. Okay what is this? This is pure wish-fulfillment fantasy with a hero who has already saved one world, razed it to the ground, built it back up, then made his home out of the World Tree so he could settle and tend his garden. Only then he gets isekai'd again (along with his cottage) to another world. So he's on his third. And retains a bunch of the over-powered stuff he did from his second one. Along with a bit of PTSD because why not?

So much of the story is him homesteading when the power goes off and monsters are wandering around. I liked that he gave all the monsters a chance to be friendly. And that he apologized, sincerely, if he made interpretive mistakes. And I even liked the gruff guy persona and the enthusiastic girl dragging him out of his funk. It's all very slice-of-life with some actiony bits because his slice is in the middle of monster-infested woods.

In fact, I liked a whole lot of this story and just gave it the premise of all the over-powered wish-fulfillment stuff and it worked out pretty well from there. I'm going to call it four-plus stars that that I'm rounding down because the cover is just that bad.

A note about Steamy: There are three explicit sex scenes putting this in the middle of my steam tolerance. Frankly, I skipped the last two because there were no interesting developments there.

Honestly? I liked this book, a LOT ! There's only one thing missing from this... A SEQUEL!

Obviously the MC is Overpowered from the start, he has his whole adventure, and finds out the truth of his world, spends a few thousand years there, and eventually ends up finding peace... before suddenly~! He and all that he owns is THRUST INTO ANOTHER WORLD! His cottage, his small yard, and his basement. The MC has killed GODS from his previous world, surely he can take on this strange new world, where his strength and his home and land are all that he knows? Yeah, makes sense, and adds to the homeliness of the MC gathering girls, slowly, to his once-unwanted harem.... but he's a man, he must slake his lusts from time to time! Slowly, he grows from a man who just wants to be left alone, after all the abuses of his previous world; he grows into a man who is surrounded by friends and loved ones.
I highly recommend this book, if not for how fun and humorously relaxing it is... the sex scenes aren't bad either.

Light hearted fun

This was an exceedingly fun and enjoyable story to read, very much slice of life with a few scenes of action, it blended together very well. The main character, as told by the synopsis, as a retired hero, who has been there, done that, and then got even stronger to fight the gods from selves. After everything he went through, he just wanted to relax and retire, when he was once again put into another world. Now, after making a few acquaintances, he just wants to sit back and relax and learn about this new world at times. I think it was a fun and rather relax and read in total, and I’m excited for volume two in the future.

Interesting

Well boy defeats demon becomes a man and a hero then the humans see him as a threat so try and off him, he retaliates kills them then befriends the reincarnated demon lord finding hes not so bad, the hero retires then is transported to another world only for similar things to start happening again fights sexy times etc.
A very enjoyable afternoons read i would love a follow up to see more world building and find out the secrets to the forest and mrs fruit basket, you could call it not all abominations are evil.

Interesting and fun read

This is a book to read on a rainy day, it is not a cerebral book, but is a fun read.... I do not recall any major grammatical issues, so it does not break your reading pace..... I find that the reading level was set for well for a teenage level, but as the book has some adult themes ........
Woul I read the next book in the series (once it's released)? I think yes.

Enjoyable story, felt familiar

This felt familiar to me in that the relationship between the MC and the Wolf girl is similar to many Japanese based light novels. I.e. the power obsessed female wolf/fox/Fenrir/vampire is easily defeated by the OP MC who just wants a ‘normal slow-life’ and she falls for him and joins him leaving her old life behind. This new world he is dumped into is also fairly interesting so I hope we get the chance to visit this realm again.

Absolutely stellar

Absolutely stellar book with feelgood moments throughout. Extremely wholesome, occasionally hearth thumping, and just a nice experience all around.
The prose is great, the characters are multi dimensional, the world building is interesting. Can't recommend this enough!

solid concept, rough execution.

The book has an interesting enough premise, but the writing style needs serious improvement. I tried to push through, but the moment I encountered the character named “Garoonie,” I had to stop. The book could be good, with another few rounds of edits and a few renames.

Awful cover art aside I really enjoyed this book. The characters were interesting and it was the perfect mix of slice-of-life with some action moments to keep my interest. I had originally rated it 4 stars but given that I can't come up with any real criticism, it seems worthy of 5. The occasional artwork throughout wasn't bad. I'll definitely be picking up the sequel when it's out.

This was a pretty fun and laid back story that I would recommend. Unfortunately I listened to the audiobook version and while the narrator's were decent there were annoying guitar riffs that played far too often, breaking up random thoughts and completely ruining the experience and immersion. It honestly made it difficult to listen to at times.

Entertaining Read

Jericho was transported from one fantasy world to another. He had just retired from being a hero and planned to get away from everybody and be a hermit. Suddenly, he finds himself on a new world. He is deposited in the middle of an enchanted magical forest. What could go wrong? I like the action, humor, and romance. I look forward to another book.

This is a simple, fun little story.

There is not much here, it is just a fun slice-of-life book. The characters, while not very deep, are interesting. The setting has some potential. All in all, a quick and fun read.

Excellently written

Smooth pacing, enticing story, great character development and integration of the MC and his companions past. The best thing is that the story never feels rushed or lulls can't wait for Vol 2.

A fun start

A retired adventurer is sent to a new world. We get just enough of the back story to know where the MC is coming from without taking over the new story. Really looking forward to more with the team.

Hilarious & Fun

Slice of life with action are fun stories especially when the MC is OP. Curious to see if he ever learns his space magic and status magic as I’m curious about this guy’s stats compared to others LOL.

Nice cozy fantasy/romance/adventure.
This was a nice cozy fantasy, and it is just what it says on the tin. I really enjoyed this, but would only recommend it for adults because of two (or was it three?) scenes.

An okay story. Fun moments but definitely written more like an anime than an actual work of fiction. I might/might not try a sequel if/when there is one.
