Kind of predictable but overall a nice read! But why does she not have her own brain in the end?!

Wonderful book
This is Charlie and Anna's story told from Anna's viewpoint. Much of the same as was in The Long Road Back to You, but I enjoyed it much more because there was not nearly as much cursing in this one. Such a timeless love they shared! I highly recommend reading it after reading The Long Road Back to You. Avery worthy tead!

I’ll Wait
Very good story. Reading through someone else’s eyes was good but I felt very repetitive and kinda took away from the story as I knew what was going to happen. Not a fan of this type of book.

I love Buck Turner’s story telling.

I have to say that having read this second book in the series, I have a much better appreciation for this love story between Charlie and Anna. To see the whole thing from Anna's perspective lends much more understanding of what was recorded in The Long Road Back to You.
This perspective gave me a better understanding to Anna and Charlie's illicit encounters.
I was happy to learn that Troy had an epiphany right after the fire and turned into a better man. I believe that Anna deserved a decent marriage. It would seem that both Anna and Charlie found suitable mates for their first marriages.
I am intrigued about what was in the insurance papers Anna's father gave her before he died. I do not know what they were or how they impacted the story.
I would love to hear Mary's side of the story.

A second chance
I really like both of your books, partly because they reminded me so much of my life when I had a second chance. The only thing that I can say should be changed in your books is that you have a better editor. There are so many mistakes in wording and phrases. It would be well worth the money to find someone to really edit your books as the stories were very good

Strong and patient
I read this book in one setting ! It was so interesting that I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning. I loved the story, the characters and the raw emotions felt in this love story.

Anna’s POV is another one of love, loss, and unbelievable trauma. Reading her story, how she pursued Charlie, and how losing him absolutely destroyed her broke my heart. Her ability to pull herself out of that darkness and pursue love again, only to lose her mother shortly after and plunge back into despair hit close to home. Her husband distancing himself in her time of need and straying from the marriage didn’t help her condition at all. Her depression and admitting she had suicidal thoughts is a reality that too many people face today. The thought that by doing so, you can rejoin those you have loved and lost is a thought that creeps in all too easily while in the depths of depression. It’s also way too easy to be angry with God when it feels like everything good and decent has been taken from you. Charlie and Anna waited a lifetime for their chance at a happily ever after, but what is destined to be will always come to light and their story was captivating.

I enjoyed reading this book about the viewpoint of Anna, but it took me a while to get into it. Since I already knew the story, there weren't any surprises. I was disappointed in her for not leaving her husband, but understood that she stayed for her son. The last half of the book felt like the author was trying to tie it up neatly with a bow, and rushed through the years as if they didn't matter. I loved the love that endured through it all. I would recommend this book, I'll Wait and the book that preceded this one The Long Journey Back to You. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

This book is not exactly a sequel to “The long Road Back to You”, it’s more like a mirror image. Same story, down to many passages being repeated, because it is the same story, just from Anna’s point of view. Is it good? Yes! Absolutely. It just wasn’t as dynamic as “The Long Road Back to You” because I knew how it was ending. If you enjoy Nicolas Sparks books, especially “The Notebook”, you’ll enjoy this book. Same type of story. I do recommend reading to all happy endings fans.

Touching story
I enjoyed book one and was a little skeptical about reading the same story line twice, but the story told through Anna's eyes was every bit as good. In fact maybe slightly better. I still saw some distracting typos and errors, but less than in the first book. The human elements of joy and strife and imperfection were realistic. My heart got involved while my brain stayed engaged, so I thought the author accomplished the goal of an enjoyable novel.

I'll Wait
I read the Long Road Back To You first and got Charlie's side of this wonderful love story and now reading I'll Wait I now know Anna's side of their story and I must say they were both great reads. We all remember our first love and how wonderful it feels but we know that love can hurt as well. And sometimes love takes it's time to be complete and it turns out it's well worth the wait.

The Long Road Back To You
I read this series years ago but must have forgotten. As I started Anna's story I realized I had read them both. This journey they faced through life was hard to believe but knowing it to be true kept me reading it all again. Don't miss this one. The reality makes it like a made for TV movie but knowing it's true...well...I won't spoil it for you. I read a lot and this is one of my all time favorites. Enjoy!

The Second Time Around Is Wonderful
This story was so much like my life. My first love was so special and will always have a special place in my heart. That love I shared was sadly interrupted and we went our seperate ways but not by our choosing.. After almost twenty years God brought us back together and our love was even more precious the second time around.Thank you Buck Turner

Outstanding read.
Outstanding. Read both books this week. I'll have to purchase the next books he's written. I grew up during Vietnam, have listened to many stories from my husband's time over there. These books reenforced the stories I've heard since we met in 1970. Had 2 dates, got engaged and married in 1971. We will celebrate iur 51st anniversary in May of this year.

After finishing these two books, I feel like I want to read them all over again!
The first book told me so much more than I ever knew about the war conditions and touched my heart at all our young men endured. Charlie and Anna's love story was even more endearing in this book! Tears, love, laughter and a happy ending! I loved both books! Thank you.

The rest of the story
The first book was so wonderful and filled with emotion and passion and so many details. I loved Charlie and Anna's story as told by Charlie. I didn't feel book two was really necessary, and it didn't have a whole lot to add to their life story. I would have preferred to stop at the first book...it was totally complete.

Because I read the prequel to this book, the first third of the book was review. Then, as it moved forward, I found myself amazed that Mr. Turner was able to capture a woman's emotions so clearly. I was reminded of the social norms of the 50s and 60s, and the changes that were just on the cusp of taking root. The ending was even more poignant than the first.

A Very remarkable book
An awesome book.It was definitely a tear jerker.I was so sad when the book started. Then I was angry at Troy and wanted Anna to leave him. I was happy when Mary wrote the letter. I loved Book number 1. I loved book number 2. I can't wait for another book from this author.

I loved them both! What a beautiful love story! Happiness, sadness, suspense, surprise, and if you've ever been in love like Anna and Charlie and happen to be of a certain age, you will never ever forget this series! Every bit as wonderful as The Keeper of Stars! Well done Mr Turner! Well done.

Oh My1
Get the tissues and keep them handy. You are gonna need them. What a story. It is a follow up of the book “The Long Road Back to You” told from Anna’s point of view. Their life was a tragedy meant for a poet’s pen. Still, after all they went through, their love endured and they ended up together in their later years. What a gift.
