The highly anticipated, nerve-shredding conclusion to the #1 bestselling ARRANGEMENT trilogy…
First, there was THE ARRANGEMENT—a scandalous story about Peter and Ainsley Greenburg’s attempt to fix their marriage, no matter the cost. Next, came THE AMENDMENT—with their darkest secrets revealed, the couple set out in a treacherous attempt to repair what had been broken. Now, Peter and Ainsley’s marriage will be put to one final test with THE ATONEMENT.
Ainsley Greenburg has always been a fixer. But her latest attempt to repair her marriage left it more damaged than ever before.
Now, trapped in a vicious game of cat and mouse with the man she thought she knew, Ainsley must do what it takes to put out the fire their arrangement ignited. But it won’t be that simple.
As Peter closes in on her, Ainsley finds herself driven down a path of paranoia and fear. Her only hope lies in her ability to trust her instincts, but they’ve let her down before. This time, there’s so much more at stake, and the secrets waiting to be revealed will change everything.
Whom can she trust when her world is up in flames? One wrong decision could cost her everything she has left—her family, her home, and her life.
And, with a final showdown looming, Ainsley must decide what she's willing to let burn in order to survive. As the blaze continues to heat up, it's only a matter of time before someone must atone for their sins.

This was just bad, I’m sorry to say. The plot was all over the place. Peter changed from wanting to kill his wife to desperately craving her seconds later. His wife is no better, lying constantly and making impulsive decisions that got on my nerves. There was many nearly-kills and I remember thinking, how hard can it be, just be done with it already! That’s how badly I wanted it all to end. To make it all worse, there had to be a love story as well. Ainsley’s lover is shot by her son, and he is still so much in love with her. If that wasn’t enough, he is way, way younger than her.

...and why not? All three books are relatively short and suspenseful. Once I start one, I just have to finish it to find out the ending. I rarely finish a book in one sitting but I did with these.
Ainsley and Peter are a whacky couple who try to save their marriage in the most bizarre ways. It's a bit OTT, but enjoyable. We hear the story from both sides with alternating POVs. I enjoy the audiobook performed by George Newbern and Sarah Mollo-Christensen. They narrated all three books and are fantastic.
This is not the kind of book that I want to write a plot summary because the shocking revelation is part of the fun. A bitter-sweet feeling that it has come to its finale. 3.5⭐
Thank you Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for this DRC. The Atonement is available in print and the audiobook is out on August 9, 2022!
Satisfying conclusion to the trilogy started by The Arrangement, followed by The Amendment. These aren't highbrow mysteries or thrillers, but they are entertaining in a popcorn kind of way. This is a trilogy that absolutely must be read in order, you will miss out on the entire story arc if you skip around and it won't be nearly as good because the first two books have a large number of shocks and twists.
This book starts immediately after The Amendment ends, and is mostly a cat and mouse tale with the two main characters, Ainsley and Peter, each trying to get their own way and make the other see their perspective on how their horrible marriage should proceed.
I listened to this book (as I did the others) as an audiobook that has dual narrators for the couple. The narrators give perfect voices to Ainsley and Peter and with this third book their voices are Ainsley and Peter. The audiobooks are a fun way to experience this trilogy.
The ending of this installment is the highlight of this book, because everything comes around for a very satisfying conclusion. Go ahead and binge this series, if you're looking for some surprising, fast-paced thrillers, The Arrangement trilogy should be on your list.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, all opinions are my own.
The third and final novel in The Arrangement Trilogy by Kiersten Modglin was wickedly gripping, fast-paced, and completely unpredictable. This book, like the other two, included so many twists, turns, and shocking surprises. You never knew what the Greenburgs had up their sleeves, and the same can be said about Modglin herself. The way she expertly crafted these complex characters through the story, including references to their past and their evolution, kept me guessing all the way until the incredibly fitting conclusion. I loved it!
lmaooo this was so ridiculous but man I couldn't look away. Def my least favorite of the three books but they were entertaining enough. Didn't like the ending though :/
---------------------------------- We all knew I would be here 😅
This was the worst one in the series. I truly believe she could have kept this shit… it dragged on for too long first … then the damn Wife wins in the end? Which I guess I get it sometimes the unlucky creature has to win, but the husband been a murder for all these damn years and the little wife some how gets the better of him??? 0/10 don’t recommend

The third and final installment of Peter and Ainsley Greenburg’s horrendous marriage does not disappoint. I have been a huge fan of this series since the beginning and raced through this audiobook! I love the characters and the crazy dynamic between them. The narrators were awesome. I couldn’t get enough. I’m sad it’s over.
What started off as an attempt to save their marriage now has Ainsley and Peter stuck in a dangerous game with each other.
Ainsley is determined to finish what she started as Peter gets closer and closer. There’s more secrets and more drama.one With everything on the line will Ainsley make the tough decisions she needs to in order to get her life back?
If you haven’t read it you need to!
The Atonement is available now!
Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
Kiersten Modglin is the expert at writing twisty turny stories that keep you on the edge of your seat and this book is no exception. This is the third in the series and while the first remains my personal favorite this is a perfect ending to the series. Told in dual perspectives our favorite couple is back again. It’s hard to talk about this story without spoiling anything, and if you haven’t read the first two you need to stop reading reviews for this one immediately and get book one (this is not a collection that should be read out of order at all).
Curiosity made me read this book, the final chapter of Peter and Ainsley. I needed to know how Kiersten Modglin going to end their story.
This wasn't much of a thriller, it was like a wrestling match between Peter and Ainsley. They were trying to outsmart each other and see who would win at the end.
The chapters were short and easy to read. There wasn't much for the plot, I didn't find any surprise elements either.
lovely little end to the trilogy but I think I could have stopped at book one!
this one was just messy and stressful and lacked any real substance and the ending was boring AF. a couple real good plot twists as usual, but I don’t think anything will beat book one.
Unfortunately, this was my least favourite book in this series, and it’s also the last book in the series. I didn’t get the jaw-dropping moments like in the previous books, and I felt it was a bit repetitive. But overall, as a series, this was well worth reading. If you enjoy psychology thrillers with good twists and secrets, then do yourself a favour and read this series. I do recommend you read them in order.
Farewell to my favorite deliciously evil book couple. I got the Kindle version of this frightening finale when it was released but I was waiting until I could get my hands on the audio. The narrators are part of this story for me. They really bring it to life.
This series was fabulous. I usually only read standalone novels but when I finished the first, I couldn’t wait for more! I think the whole series needs a better blurb/summary to reach a bigger audience. I almost skipped it because I thought it was about wife swapping or weird sex stuff. If not for my Goodreads friends steering me in its direction, I would have missed out! Now I get text alerts for Modglin’s releases so never pass up a good recommendation!
This picks up where The Amendment leaves off. Ainsley has realized she isn’t rid of Peter yet. She packs the kids up and is on the lam but of course makes the brilliant decision to stop by her narcissistic mom’s house and by her bank to withdraw funds. Rookie mistake.
Peter has his own plans for them. They’re going to fix things whether Ainsley wants to or not! He’s become dull and listless in her absence and has lost interest in his nefarious hobbies so he’s dedicating all of his time to winning her back at any cost. Ainsley wants to set a good example by leaving a toxic relationship, forgetting she has a few skeletons in her own closet.
We are used to seeing Ainsley in control for the most part but this time, when the stakes are highest, Peter seems to be a step ahead of her at every turn. Will she be able to resist his allure or can she rebuild her life anew? And if she does.. what will Peter do?!
It has been an absolute pleasure following this devious couple as they try to save their marriage. Just when you think it’s over, Modglin proves she has a few tricks left for this couple and Peter and Ainsley are riding it until the wheels fall off.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to listen and review!
This entire trilogy.. 5/5 stars. I haven’t flown through books this fast in SO LONG! I literally couldn’t read fast enough. RUNNNN and start this series, so damn good
The conclusion to The Arrangement trilogy ~ definitely read this series in order. I, also, suggest to not wait too long in between reading each one since there isn't a recap and the next book picks up just where the last left off.
Told in dual POV 1st person ~ Ainsley and Peter are playing cat and mouse and are out for each other. Who is the smarter one and who will come out on top at the end? You won't have to wait too long to find out since this is a quick read. A solid read that all wrapped up just as I figured it would.
Side note ~ I was not feeling Ainsley's mother at all in this installment ~ why does she think she knows what's best in someone else's marriage?
Narrated perfectly by George Newbern and Sarah Mollo-Christensen for 6 hours and 17 minutes, easy to follow at 2x.
*Thanks to Dreamscape Media, the author and NetGalley for the advance audiobook. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review*
Holy Cow!!!!! The Queen of Thrillers is still at the TOP of her game! Wow 🤯. It was pedal to the metal throughout the book! If you are looking for breathing room, this is not the book for you 😂 because it was twist after twist! I was on edge throughout the book. This was adrenaline filled and so unpredictable with an epic conclusion for the Arrangement series!
If you haven’t already read The Arrangement and The Amendment, what are you waiting for? This series is amazing 🤩.
A big thanks to Kiersten Modglin for the review copy of the book!
This is truly the PERFECT ending to this series. I’m really bummed that this is it for the trilogy, but she honestly doesn’t need to do more with it because it’s really good as it is. I will miss these twisted characters though! And how unique it is! Good thing she has a ton of other books I can binge otherwise I’d be lost! I’m truly hooked on her books and can almost guarantee that once you start, you’ll feel the same! They are fast paced, intriguing, and unputdownable! I highly recommend this trilogy and all of her latest releases which I have read and loved (now I’m just going through her entire backlist!).
I really enjoyed this audiobook! I had heard great things about Modglin, so couldn't pass up the chance to see the hype for myself! I hadn't realised this was #3 in a series, so I think I would have been better to read the first two, as I felt somewhat at a disadvantage listening to this. I'm not sure it works as well as a standalone- I was a little lost. That said, once I got on track with the characters and plot, I loved it! The characters were excellent, shown superbly by the narrators. I was listening all the time, utterly gripped! Every chapter made me change my opinion, and that is down to the excellent plotting and characterisation by Modglin. Fantastic, and would have been 5 stars if I'd read the previous books in the series.
The Atonement is the epic final book in The Arrangement Trilogy Please Note: You need to read these books in order, as this book picks off right where the second book leaves off!
KMod smashed this one out of the park in this epic finale of The Arrangement Series! Peter and Ainsley, a true love story, has run its course…or has it? The twists and turns keep coming and I was blown away by the ending!
This trilogy started with The Amendment as Ainsley fighting and doing ANYTHING to keep their marriage alive. Now, it’s Peter turn to prove to Ainsley how much they belong together.
Thank you so much to Kiersten Modglin, for the gifted copy of this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.
This book was ok, but I think the series could have ended at the second book had of each of the first two books been a little longer. But you HAVE to read this if you read 1&2 because you’ll need to know what happens next.
The first two were fantastic reads that left me gasping but this one felt a little underwhelming, it wasn’t awful and it did have some twists but I just got a little tired of the story line throughout.
I think the author tried to add some huge shock factors but the execution was a little flat so they didn’t deliver the intended outcome.
I’ve followed Peter and Ainsley from the beginning. Through the ups and downs of their entire tumultuous relationship. I heard their innermost relationship secrets. Secrets that bind two people together forever.
I stayed with them during attempts to repair their marriage. But some issues can’t be resolved. What’s the saying? Two people can only keep a secret if one of them is dead. These are two cunning and crafty characters. Who will triumph and what will they do to survive?
What an amazing conclusion to the Greenburg’s story. RIP!
This was a very quick read, I gobbled it up in one sitting. Even though i disliked the amendment (2nd book) I was still interested to know the end of Ainsley and Peter's story. I kinda knew who would win, but the way it was executed was.🤌🏻 It was a Great ending to this cat and mouse chase!
This trilogy is fast paced, unpredictable and this couple is just overall Batsh*t crazy. The books are short and really easy to listen to . If you liked Joe & Love Goldberg You will like these books.
Ɱ◎◎ĐႽ… ➨ Domestic Suspense ➨ F*cked up Twisted ➨ Finale of The Arrangement Series ➨ Series Rating: 3½⭐s
***THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR BOOKS 1 & 2***
I think I had a clear idea about where I thought the ending should go. It’s a little far-fetched, although given everything we’ve seen so far from these two, not so unlikely, it was somewhere along the lines of a fiery shootout with both of them ending up dead, and the wife’s girlfriend raising the kids. Because let’s face it, these two were not what you would call good parents. Hello…they’re both murderers. Obviously, Peter was a WAY bigger POS but Ainsley wasn’t much better. If she had never killed someone herself and liked it…found it exhilarating or however she put it, I would’ve been more accepting of the ending. Also, something happened near the end, involving one of the kids that I couldn’t see happening. It felt off for the character, what with everything we had come to know about said character, and I had to deduct points for it. Overall, an entertaining series of books...as long as you can suspend your disbelief.
➨ Narrated by: 🎙️ Sarah Mollo-Christensen & George Newburn 📣 They were quite excellent, as they have been for the entire series.
What an outstanding finale to such a fantastic trilogy by Modglin!
This series was wildly entertaining and such an engrossing and compelling game of cat and mouse! When the first one ended and I heard there was a sequel, I couldn’t fathom how it could be topped or even resumed but KMod continues to impress me, story after story, truly cementing herself as the bookstagram Queen!
Each book has an abundance of twists and turns and this one was no different! I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish and absolutely flew through through it.
Thriller lovers, I promise you, this is a series that you don’t want to miss!!
The Atonement is the last and final book in Kiersten Modglin’s Trilogy and she ends it with a “bang”. It’s a fast read and I read it in just a few hours!!! Where oh where does she come up with this “stuff”?
As it goes with most trilogies, the final book suffers. I suggest only reading the first book in this trilogy. It’s the nastiest, most shocking and will leave you wondering and wanting more just as it should. Go in blind.
What a crazy end to an even crazier ride! This series was my introduction into Kiersten Modglin and I am definitely hooked. Her books are quick and twisty reads that definitely scratch that "I need a solid unpredictable thriller to break my slump" itch.
Looking forward to diving into the rest of her catalog!
