This book keeps you so involved with the characters and their quest that you won't want to put it down. It kept me reading well past my bedtime! I like the variety of the historical periods and how the lovers found each other time and again. How everything was tied together at the end is great. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys romance.

What a delightful take on a romance story! I’m not usually drawn to fantasy novels, but this one grabbed me from the beginning. Jonas painted the fantasy world in such a way the reader soon finds they are going along for the ride of a lifetime. Romance usually starts with a meet-cute, conflict, and a happily ever after. The twist in this romance is that Xenia and Yonan are already married and in love—in fact, they have been for four hundred years!
When they discover their perfect world is coming to an end, they are given the unique opportunity to time travel to their future reincarnated lives to pick where they will continue their happy life together. There is a catch—they must find each other as strangers and fall in love again.
Following Xenia and Yonan on this time travel adventure was exciting and left me wondering where they would finally land.
I can’t wait for the author’s next novel.

Eternal Hearts is one of those books that quietly pulls you in and doesn’t let go. The emotions feel real, the connections between the characters are heartfelt, and the story unfolds in a way that keeps me emotionally invested without feeling rushed.
What I appreciated most was the sincerity of the writing. The themes of love, sacrifice, and enduring connection are handled with care, making the story feel both timeless and deeply personal. It’s the kind of book that leaves you thinking about the characters even after you’ve finished reading.
If you enjoy emotional, character-driven stories with heart and depth, I would definitely recommend Eternal Hearts. It’s a meaningful read and well worth your time.

In Our Eternal Souls, PL Jonas delivers an extraordinary tale of an odyssey spanning time and space. Xenia and Yonan, hybrid humans/aliens, are forced to confront both the end of their marriage and life as they know it. Deeply in love, and with time running short, they venture on a time-travel adventure to try and guarantee their reincarnated selves will meet again.
Jonas takes the reader romping through prehistoric Europe, ancient Egypt, the House of Tudor, 19th century Iowa, and the present day, as our protagonists discover how difficult it is to change two peoples' destinies.
Our Eternal Souls is a compelling exploration of love's power to endure.

A unique twist on time travel romance that joins a futuristic-type world with the past. As our two souls face their planet's destruction they turn to the mystical forces to give them a second chance. As they battle the dwindling time left to them they must fight history and chance to find a love as great as they have now. Jonas captures the intrigue and beauty of the past, from the Stone Age to Cleopatra to England's Henry VIII, and blends it with the hope of two people not yet ready to give up on their love for each other.

With the Zorathian's way of life ending and no escape seemingly possible Yonan and Xenia want to find solace in the only way they can: by travelling via astral projection into the future to see if their future incarnations find love with each other. Will they be able to find the lifetime in which they grow old together before their own time comes to an end?
I received a copy of this book from the author as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The book was released on Dec 27, so I am a bit behind on finishing it in time, but I have tried my best.
This book starts with a utopian civilization called Zorathia where everyone lives forever except for death by sickness or some other outside force (ie poison, drowning, storms, or physical injury). While they have an infinite lifespan they are not able to withstand things such as volcanic blasts and the shifting on plates which threatens their way of life. Desperate to see their future selves grow old together a couple travels through lifetimes doing their best to get their reincarnations together for the long haul. Getting them together is easy. Falling in love is natural. But, growing old together may present a challenge.
I have to admit I was a bit leery at the start of this book. With the first incarnation her arranged marriage is with her cousin and I worried about inbreeding throughout. While there are instances of it in this book, as I just referenced, the end result is a bit more distantly related. While third cousins are not ideal it's better than first. That being said, if you aren't a fan of it in any instance, no matter how close or far this is your warning. I can't say I entirely loved that fact, but nothing to do about it.
The book is well written and the characters, outside of inbreeding, are relatable to some extent in each lifetime. Of course it is easier to relate to the present day lifetime versus those participating in cave drawings, serving under Queen Cleopatra, under the Queen from the 1800s, or a native American fur trader.
It was interesting to see how they pushed their future selves together time and again. Each time they are together it is easy to see the love felt by their initial selves all those years before. Even when the love does not result in forever, at least they felt it for that moment. I will say, however, if the elders had better prepared there may never have been a need for the astral travelling and the loss of life would have been unnecessary.

Eternal Hearts: A Journey Across Time by P.L. Jonas is an imaginative love story that combines romance, science fiction, reincarnation, and the idea of love enduring across countless lifetimes. The concept of Xenia and Yonan choosing to pursue each other through future lives gives the story an emotional foundation that goes beyond a conventional romance.
I particularly liked the contrast between their extraordinary circumstances and the very human desire to remain connected to someone you love. Their centuries-long relationship makes the approaching destruction of their world feel even more personal, while the use of alien technology and future lifetimes adds an intriguing science-fiction element.
The story has an ambitious premise and a strong focus on devotion, destiny, and the possibility that genuine love can survive even when everything else changes. For readers who enjoy romantic stories with speculative ideas, reincarnation, and journeys through time, Eternal Hearts offers a thoughtful and unusual take on enduring love.

April 25, 2023This book had so much potential and a really fun concept. I wish the writing was better. I think this book was too ambitious and expansive and sacrificed details because of it. There was an opportunity to tell a love story that had a lot of heart but it needed more details. I didn't "feel" the love. It just felt lacking... I really wanted to love this book :(

I was really excited to read this book. While I did enjoy some of stories, it felt over dramatic. Some parts felt forced. I just didn’t connect.
I did receive a free copy.
