-3-4 stars. i wasn't interested in the round or free form loaves. they don't fit in the toaster. but it had a nice section on loaf recipes, and muffin tin recipes.

-the recipes had a lot of information about kneading and rising, which i need.

-suggests a room thermometer for the kitchen, with humidity as well, to help judge how long the dough needs to rise.

This book had a lot of grammar errors and the instructions left a lot to be desired. “… until [the dough] doubles in size” mentioned twice in one recipe? Sloppy. Impossible! Furthermore there were only two recipes that looked intriguing to me.

I've given Easy Everyday Sourdough Bread Baking only 4 stars because I still haven't conquered my wild yeast sourdough starter and so, I can't actually try any of the recipes. That’s on me not the author.

The premise of Easy Everyday Sourdough Bread Baking is "beginner friendly" which it absolutely is! I've read books with baker's percentages and taking temperatures of everything and been left bereft, confused, and unmotivated.

I've made plenty of non-sourdough bread and it just doesn't need that much complication, as Elaine Brody proves. I appreciate her relaxed attitude and the choices she gives us in every recipe.

I'm excited that she has beautiful recipes for baking pans rarely used. Some of the recipes are flavors unfamiliar to me or not to my liking but each and every photo in Easy Everyday Sourdough Bread Baking made my mouth water.
