It was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime… now she’s just trying to stay alive.
Rissa can’t believe her luck. She won an all-expenses paid trip on a luxury matchmaking cruise. She’s not looking for love, but a few weeks of five-star pampering while seeing the galaxy sounds perfect… until it all goes wrong.
Abandoning ship wasn’t on her itinerary, and neither is the growly but oh-so-sexy alien who is half convinced she’s the enemy, and utterly certain she’s his. She’s got a list of the reasons they’re wrong for each other, but when they’re together, everything just feels right.
Crash landing on a prison planet may not be the vacation she dreamed of, but it might turn out to be the best “worst” day of her life.
**Buckle up. This sci-fi romance contains an alien with fur, fangs, horns, and a very possessive attitude when it comes to the woman he’s claimed for his own.
Susan lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef. If the world ends, she plans to survive as the spunky, comedic sidekick to the heroes of the new world, because she’s too damned short and out of shape to make it on her own for long.
Writing is her joy, her escape from reality and the only way she knows of to quiet the nagging harridan of a muse the universe assigned to her.

Rissa had been in the gym when the alarm bells started going off. She instinctively started for the engineering deck then stopped because she wasn't crew on this ship she's a passenger. A passenger on a matchmaking cruise, she hadn't been one of the lucky ones to find a match.
As she deciphered the codes she knew they were in deep trouble and headed for the emergency pods. She ran into another passenger, Hope and hurried her along to the evac deck. She settled Hope into a pod before getting herself into one. As soon as she was clear of the ship, she took over flying the pod. She wasn't just going to crash she was hoping to land it somewhat safely.
On the planet's surface Strife and Mayhem heard the chirping of their early warning system. The screen showed multiple vessels with three heading close to areas Mayhem, Menace and Strife had claimed. Only vessels containing attack forces were allowed through by the verexi. They wanted them dead although this planet was originally thought to be a refuge for them all. They wouldn't be caught by surprise though.
Strife and his brothers are fa'rel created by the verexi to be a fighting force, but they were unable to control them. Now they battled those sent to the surface and salvaged whatever they could from the ships to make life better and safer here. Strife makes only one quick stop for weapons before locating the ship.
From the moment Strife sees Rissa he knows something is different. From the first touch, he thinks she's doing something but then he realizes she isn't. The things he's feeling are almost overwhelming and Rissa is affected as well.
Things heat up between them very quickly, and mating marks appear although they don't know what they are at that point. Bysshe would be the one with answers.
There are plenty of ups and downs in this one as Rissa resigns herself to staying on this planet and having Strife as her mate. Strife has anger issues to resolve as well.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Marked for Strife is the second book in the Crashed and Claimed series, but can be read as a stand alone. Rissa has found she hates being Planet-side, but when her luxury cruise crash lands on a planet, she must rely on her captor to keep her safe. Strife has trust issues, and isn’t sure if Rissa is who she says she is, or if she’s setting a trap for him and his brothers, but neither can resist the chemistry that’s between them! Will they learn to trust one another and find love and happiness?
Yay! This book was just as entertaining as the first book in the series! Both were fast paced and steamy reads, but I loved that this one had its own flairs, difficulties, and issues they needed to overcome. Rissa and Strife made an excellent team, when they could actually trust one another. Rissa is strong and smart and quite courageous, but I loved that she was terrified of the big open sky. It made her seem so real. I also liked that she had a skill set that would help Strife and his brothers, but she also had vulnerabilities that came with being a slightly older female. Strife was confident, fearless, but also not good at trusting others. He always seemed to hold a bit of himself back, even from his brothers, but he also learned some harsh lessons during his life. They both were so drawn to each other, and yet neither really knew what to do about that, so that added a fun dynamic to the story and to their romance. I really liked this book! There’s still some questions hanging over the series (if you read the prequel), and I would have loved to have seen Rissa interact with the other women, but I am digging this series and can’t wait for the next one to come out!
Book two of the series Crashed and Claimed has set the bar high for exceptional prose! I do enjoy a good alpha male that gets all growly. The world building continues and we get to see a little bit more of Bysshe. I have to say, he was a mystery and I like that all my questions were answered about him in this book. The scenes between Rissa and Strife feel as if you are right there observing this first hand. Of course the romance is smoking…Hayes could deliver no less. I have been a fan of Hayes for quite some time. She co-writes and omega series with Mina Carter that is a must read. If you have just found this author you are in for many hours of reading pleasure…download all of her books and enjoy!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
An incredible romantic adventure in an afternoon read. In this short tale we get so much background on these characters, I feel like I know them. Strife is so inexperienced in the ways of the world, all he has to base life on are the actions of the evil Verexi, making him suspicious of all strangers. Rissa is the product of living on a space station until she won a trip on a matchmaking cruise. They do have their affinity for electronics and engineering in common, but only Rissa is formally trained. Though neither of them know it consciously they are fated mates, they just have to get their brains to catch up with their bodies. And their bodies have some smoking sexy times. Loved this story!
Another series that gets better the more detail we get. This is a short(ish) book and it brings in details that was missing from book one. Strife and his "brothers" are put on the planet to die. Left with minimal supplies, they make it work. Rissa, who is human, crash lands after something happened to the ship she was on. Her and several others made it to the escape pods. When Strife finds her, he assumes she is there to kill him and the others. Oh that is not what is in store for the big burly alien. He questions his reactions to the beauty and also her. There is an HEA but it does not come easy. These two need to get our of their own heads and make a go of it. I did not put this book down and cannot wait for the next in the series.
This is the 2nd book in the Crashed and Claimed series by Susan Hayes. I know how much I enjoyed the first book in this series so I was excited when this book came out! I downloaded and read this book in one sitting. It was such a quick and fun read! This book went along a similar path as book one where the h crash landed on the H’s planet. The H thinks its an attack and goes to eliminate the threat. Once they meet there is immediate chemistry. Their romance is sweet with some hot bits. I enjoyed the book.
First who doesn't love some Susan. Her stories make you laugh and some touch your heart.
We all need a vacation sometimes, you know and well R gets more than just some time to blow off some steam. Things go a bit the dink and well here we go.
Prison life welp it could be so much worse and and who doesn't need a Strife in their life. Grumpy and hot and making it work for him the best he can. Then comes her.
I like Strife and Rissa their humor, their chemistry. The aw factor, the silliness the get it done. A Very much recommended read. The story and characters are amazing!!
Rissa got more than she signed up for! Strife found her after the crash...she's terrified of everything outside...but not of him....not really. Strife thinks he should kill the soft assassin who has come to kill him. There are a lot of miscommunications and accusations, they go back and forth a lot. All in all, though, it's a riveting story, hard to put down, easy to get lost in. I also listened to this on Audible, and that was fun too...in traffic...with the windows open. I got looks, lol, but ask me if I care, lol, it was fun to listen to, too!
Strife is the tech guy stranded on the prison planet. Between him and the android Bysshe the aliens have managed to survive fairly comfortably. Rissa is a human technical engineer on vacation when the ship she is on is hit and she is forced to abandon ship. She is extremely uncomfortable dirt side. Being found by Strife probably saves her life if not her sanity. This is a sexy, action-packed romp that will leave you with a smile.
An excellent novel! Another human woman finds happiness in the arms of a fa’rel male! I really enjoyed this one! I love that Rissa is an engineer and able to put her skills to good use in this frightening situation. Being on a planet is a drastic change for her, and that can be scary as the devil! Strife is truly adorable - until he felt betrayed. Then he became scary as the devil! It’s a highly entertaining story, with the author’s signature sense of humor topping it off perfectly.
When Rissa goes on a matchmaking cruise to other planets she really didn’t plan on finding a match. But her cruise ship is attacked and she crash lands on a prison planet. Strife thiks the crashed pod is an enemy but instead he finds his mate. There was more action in the sheets than anywhere else, but the romance and miscommunication were cute enough that I enjoyed the story.
Strife was tortured, experimented on, and genetically modified. He has known nothing but pain and brotherhood with the others like him. Rissa has never been planetside until the cruise ship she was on was shot down. Now she has to deal with a planet that's out to get her, and a monster that says he owns her. Yep, life is good. I love this series! The world building is great, and OhBoy, the chemistry
Rissa is a 40+ engineer and when she heard the alarms heading to the escape pods was imperative. Rissa grabbed Hope another human female passenger and got them both into the pods. Strife and his batch brothers saw the large and small craft plunging to their prison planet and were prepared to defend themselves. Never having seen females before Strife was still worried Rissa was an enemy.
Another well written attention grabbing romance in this entertaining series. I especially loved that the heroine in this one suffered from agoraphobia, which is very logical seeing she had been raised and spent most of her life on a space station. Not only did she need to come to terms with her bossy fearsome looking alien lover she had to overcome her fear of open spaces. It made her a much more rounded character. I highly recommended this whole series.
I liked this one better than the last one. Age still seems to be an issue. The Fa’ral are trapped on their planet with no women. Strife looks at Rissa as an enemy at first, however he quickly changes his mind. Rissa seems to be just what they need, someone who is familiar with mechanics and robotics. These stories lack much action. They are more about setting up the relationship.
Rissa and Strife’s story builds more of the technology side of the series by bringing Rises in. While there's not a great deal of technical information there's enough to intrigue a novice. I enjoyed reading Rissa and Strife's story and look forward to the next book in the series.
This is book 2 in the series and it gives a little more background to the story. Good characters and a great storyline made for a great read. I did not enjoy this as much as book 1 but I am eager to read more.
This was a fun sweet action filled adventure. Loved the storyline it was interesting and entertaining. The characters were amazing with just the right amount of fun. I enjoyed there journey and there HEA. Hopefully there are more to come.
This was another fab read for the series. It's well written and fast paced with interesting characters. Really, you can expect a cute, sweet, and steamy adventure story, with the author's signature humour, to fully entertain you :D
This is the second book in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The characters are entertaining and the interaction between them is great. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
I really loved their interaction - the miscommunications, the ability to listen and resolve, and the hot sexy scenes. I love that these characters are not perfect, they have history, and personal problems that come out in the way they react to circumstances. A very enjoyable read.
Rissa hates planets and his afraid of the sky after spending her life on a space station but when she crash lands on an unnamed planet she gets the surpride.of her life in sexy, bossy Strife who just happens to be her mate in this fun read.
This series is fun .I am happy that the android is now of a known manufacturer ..and that he has been able to cultivate food for our heroines.. I may have gotten the order of read mixed up but I want to know more ..So many questions are left with hints.
