Paige King, a Ph.D. in forensic psychology and a new arrival at the FBI’s elite BAU unit, has an uncanny ability to enter serial killers’ minds—yet nothing has prepared her for what she finds at a series of new crime scenes: a swinging pendulum. What could this serial killer be hinting at? Could he be ticking down the time until the next victim’s death?
A complex psychological crime thriller full of twists and turns and packed with heart-pounding suspense, the PAIGE KING mystery series will make you fall in love with a brilliant new female protagonist and keep you turning pages late into the night. It is a perfect addition for fans of Rachel Caine, Teresa Driscoll and Robert Dugoni.

The Paige King series is definitely not as well-written, edited, or narrated as well as some of the other “Blake Pierce” books. I’m thinking that this was a different, newer “Blake” writer.
The Girl He Crowned has a good plot but could be shorter if some parts of the story were not repeated, however, this does not diminish the quality of the book. I found it interesting as Ms. Pierce crossed the watches and pendulums with the crimes, and I was glad that after many searches Paige could find and arrest the culprit. She also keeps on digging into her father's murder case but she does not realize that she might have been played. A good and entertaining read!
Christopher and Paige still fighting their attraction as they chase a new serial killer. This killer likes to stage his victims with a nod to his troubled past with a domineering grandfather. The team is under the microscope because of Paige’s handling of things.

Paige & Christopher search for a killer who is leaving different pendulums at each scene. Agent Sauer decides their cases should be reviewed to ensure all rules are being followed. Paige continues to investigate her father's murder.
I really enjoyed this book. There was enough about the characters that it drew you into the story. The mystery was well written into the story so that you did not know the killer till the last couple of chapters.
