Karin is a vampire with a twist--she experiences intense bleeding from her nose once a month--so instead of stealing blood from humans, she gives her blood to them and if done properly, the benefits are positive to both.
Yuna Kagesaki (影崎 由那 Kagesaki Yuna ) is a manga artist, born on March 3, 1973 , best known for being the author of the manga Chibi Vampire. Her work has been published under four different names: Yuna Kagesaki (影崎 由那 Kagesaki Yuna) (professionally published non-pornographic comics, except for Sakura no Ichiban), Yuna Kagezaki (影崎 由那 Kagezaki Yuna?) (same characters but different readings; only in Taishō Komachi Jikenchō Sakura no Ichiban!) Yūna Kagesaki (影崎 夕那 Kagesaki Yūna) (spelled with different kanji) when drawing CG's for PC games, and Yuta Kageyama (影山 由多 Kageyama Yuta) when drawing hentai manga or HCG's for PC games. Her real name is presumedly Keya, as she calls herself in the bonus comic strips at the end of volume 3 of her work Hekikai no AiON. In middle school she was a member of the brass band.
After Karin finally shares her first kiss with her human boyfriend Kenta, she is feeling on top of the world!
However, her happiness is short lived when her friend, Yuriya Tachibana, betrays her by leading her outside the city (and the Marker protection barrier) and into the clutches of her uncle, Henry Glark, who intends on kidnapping Karin to use her special blood making abilities to help all vampires of Japan be able to reproduce and avoid extinction.
We all know Karin wasn’t an ordinary vampire. It actually turns out she’s what known as “The Psyche” or a child of hope born whenever vampires are on the verge of extinction. The Psyche has a special body that can survive the sun and creates a surplus of blood. Any vampires who drink the blood of the psyche can reproduce without trouble, it’s considered a medicine of some kind. However, the role of the psyche as seen by Glark and his clan is to give her blood to all other vampires and die as a sacrifice.
As Karin is abducted and brought to the Brownlick mansion up north, another clan of vampires that have eagerly awaited the return of the psyche, the Marker family and Kenta are determined to rescue her. Despite not being able to fight vampires as a human, Kenta seems to have the ability to see another Karin that points him in the direction of the real Karin. Is this an effect of Karin’s blood being given to him? Will they all be able to rescue our heroine?
Wow, this volume packed a huge punch in it. All of the build up throughout the series exploded here and it left me on the edge. I’m so excited to finish the series and see how it all ends in the final book!

There's some action in this one, communication is being used. I can't say that it was used properly but there was sure an attempt. There are some new characters at this point, and the plot really starts to build on what will be the final volume.
I still say that Anju should have gotten more time than she got, as well as the rest of Karin's family. They're all interesting characters, except for Ren, I wish he had gotten thrown into the sun.
Perfino Ren...
Oooh I’m so excited to see what happens next! Karin got kidnapped because of Yuria Tachibana’s betrayal and she agrees to go with her kidnappers to save Usui. Usui and the Markers are planning on retrieving Karin!

One more volume to go! If I did actually read this when I was younger, I definitely did not understand what was going on because this is a mature manga. Abduction and sexual violence is no joke….
I loved the 12th volume of Chibi Vampire. And I loved this one too. It was sooo good. And the ending was very very dramatic. And it left me wanting the next book so badly.
Things are definitely very exciting. I pretty much sat down and read this in a sitting because I just wanted to know what was happening.
The illustrations were once again very good. I really like the pictures. Which is actually unusual for me because to be honest I'm not really into pictures because I prefer to imagine the stuff in my head myself.
The new characters introduced were very interesting.
Overall, things are definitely heating up and wow it was so exciting. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and unfortunately I have to wait because the library doesn't have it yet. And what's worse is that volume 14 is the last book in the series. I hope that it is a good one.
Ooh, I really liked this one! I read it in one sitting: it was pretty short. Uuuh, I really don't wanna see Karin sucked dry in the last and 14th book, though! I want her and Kenta-kun to live happily ever after: but I don't know, with Yuna Kagesaki-san being the author, it's bound to end up gory. (I really hope not, because I can't tolerate a lot of gore!)
PLEEEAASEE let them be happy!! I better start looking for some spoilers...
So that's why Karen is the way she is. I have a couple of ideas of where the story could end up in the final volume. I didn't really see the events of volume so I could be completely wrong. I like that this can surprise me. I keep expecting certain things of this fluff and it keeps proving me wrong.
The plot action has really gotten exciting in this volume of the series, as Karin is abducted for a vile and sinister plan. Will she survive? Let's hope so!
Quick thoughts: Bombshell volume as the prophesied role of The Psyche is revealed. Karin's totally unprepared for the tragedies that await her. Strong penultimate volume.
