I really enjoyed this edgy, tension filled third and finally story of the Triple Threat series. Dr. Grace Reilly is the youngest sister and is living away from her family and hometown of St. Louis in a rural area of Missouri. Grace, a forensic pathologist, finds some discrepancies in autopsies of some seniors whose deaths appear to be natural causes, but she is not convinced they are. Nate Cox is a new sheriff in town and listens to Grace's suspicions. As she digs, researches, and runs test, someone is trying to scare her away. Nate and Grace are attracted to each other, and this adds some added zing to the danger that escalates as she gets closer to finding answers. Nate does his own investigating and interviewing suspects and estate lawyers in this small town and surrounding counties. This interesting story is multilayered with a great mystery, suspense, and action. Wonderful characters and secondary characters make this a realistic story of faith, forgiveness, love, and patience. We get visits from sisters, Cate and Eve, as they continue their sister get togethers. I have enjoyed this series and recommend it for those who enjoy Christian romantic suspense and family relationships. I received a complimentary copy from Revell Publishing and NetGalley. All thoughts are mine only.

Characters: Grace and Nate were both well-developed characters, and I liked how they worked together on the case. I wasn't a big fan of the fact that Nate was dating somebody already.

Language: Clean.

Moral/theme: Body of Evidence featured themes of family, love, and persistence.

Plot: Suspenseful moments and high stakes kept me flipping pages.

Random comments: Due to Grace's occupation as a forensic pathologist, there were a few autopsy details that might not be the best for more sensitive readers.

Romance: Clean. Just kissing. A couple of comments did contain a bit of innuendo.

Writing: Irene Hannon's clear, to-the-point writing style worked great for this novel.

Overall: Body of Evidence was a suspenseful read that I'd recommend to those who enjoy Christian fiction and romantic suspense.

Disclosure: I received this book free from Revell through Interviews & Reviews. The opinions I have expressed are my own, and I was not required to write a positive review. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

I never miss an Irene Hannon book and have been a fan for many years. She concludes her Triple Threat series with this one, the best of the bunch, in my opinion. People are dying, older folks, of natural causes. Or so it seems. A forensic pathologist and a county sheriff are trying to discover why so many are dying so close together.

Hannon always adds layers with each chapter, and I love discovering more in this fashion. She crafts believable characters and plots that are spot on interesting. I couldn't tear myself away. And I had no idea who the culprit was. A total surprise. Well done!

My thanks to Revell Publishing for a copy of this book via Net Galley. The opinion here is my own.

Body of Evidence is the third book in the Triple Threat series by Irene Hannon and boy does she write a compelling suspense story. I was unable to put this down and read it completely in two settings. Each story in this series features a sister and this one is Grace Reilly, a forensic pathologist in rural Missouri, not exactly a place where you would suspect suspicious deaths to be occurring. The elderly is dying, not an unusual thing you'd say, and I'd agree with you but Grace suspects they are related in an unnatural way. They have similar autopsy findings, and she has suspicions of foul play.
I enjoyed seeing the interactions between forensic pathologist, Grace and Sheriff Nate Cox.
Will she be able to show him she has the credible evidence to get him to investigate it though?
With my son being involved in law enforcement it's fascinating to read a book so well researched such as this one that really digs below the surface to show us what's really going on.
Suspenseful and intriguing. recommended!

I received this book for free, this does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

After all, what were the odds that the deaths of two older residents of rural Missouri who didn't appear linked in any way and who had no fortune worth stealing could be anything but natural?

Body of Evidence is book three in the Triple Threat series about the Reilly sisters. Youngest sister Grace is a forensic pathologist who travels six rural Missouri counties doing autopsies. When what looks like an attempted robbery may or may not have led to the death of an older woman, Grace conducts the autopsy and sees odd similarities to another older man's death. Coincidences that could easily be written off but when she finds what looks like sunflower seeds in both their stomachs, it bothers her enough to talk to the new Sheriff. Sheriff Nate has only been four months on the job but as former Special Forces, it doesn't take him much to get up to speed. He's willing to look a little further into these deaths, especially when it will give him more time around Grace.

He could let her walk away---or lay it on the line and possibly set himself up for a fall.

I hadn't read the previous books in the series but had no problem jumping in as this was fully Grace's story. Her sisters make appearances and bring in some of that sibling love and dynamics that I enjoy. With parents and a brother that had passed away, Nate only had a sister-in-law to show readers other sides of his personality and I missed him having a friend dynamic. He was in a dead end relationship of eight months when he meets Grace but after feeling the spark with Grace, he breaks up with her. This is Christian fiction, so the talk of morals and values comes on quick and their relationship is more about sensing each other is “The One”, they don't even get to go on a first date and readers won't see lingering touches until the epilogue.

Maybe the murderer had, indeed, devised the perfect homicide.
But she wasn't about to cede victory to BK until every stone had been overturned.

The murder mystery was the main story here and we get povs from numerous people; players, the villain, and red-herrings. I liked how readers were let in on the why, insurance fraud scheme, and a who, an insurance salesman Dave is being blackmailed for cheating on his wife and forced to sell bogus claims to older citizens at the instance of a mysterious “BK”. The main villain pov of BK gives us their thoughts, feelings, and why they're doing this, bitter about how they're life turned out and enjoying how they're getting the best of people by being so smart but it's up to the reader to try and find out the identity of BK along with Grace and Nate. It was fun to have a little more information that Grace and Nate and travel along with them as they worked to figure things out but still keep some of the mystery for the reader to guess at as they don't know the identity of BK either.

Because almost from the day they'd met, he'd known Grace Reilly was special---and that this moment would come.

This was closer to a police procedural, mystery, than a romance for me but Grace and Nate do keep in touch throughout with conversations, they just happen to be mostly conversations about autopsies. I missed some of that relationship development as they immediately just felt like there was The One possibilities with the other. As I mentioned, this is Christian fiction so along with the more common no getting physical and no cursing, there was minimal mentions of going to church. I read very few Christian fiction, so the part where the reverend was automatically considered a trustworthy witness solely because he was a man of god made my eye twitch a bit, the underlining linking of stronger morals and values to religious people, and the tone that rural areas are automatically better than urban was a little off-putting to me. Obviously, elements that probably wouldn't bother regular Christian readers and I was a little shocked at the more to the side the talk of church and prayer was. If you're looking for a police procedural murder mystery (the instrument used for death was very interesting) with some feelings between the sheriff and forensic pathologist, this could be one to pick up.

What happens when you pair a sheriff who can’t handle the smells of a mortuary with a forensic pathologist who suspects foul play in some of her most recent ‘natural cause’ autopsies? Well, you get a swoony romance full of some humorous moments (poor Nate lol) and an edge-of-your-seat suspense novel like only Irene Hannon can deliver.

Like the three Reilly sisters themselves, each book in the Triple Threat series is delightfully different from the others. Point of Danger had more high-stakes tension & police procedural vibes than the next two, in my opinion. Labyrinth of Lies had more suppressed romantic tension than the others, and it dealt more with the undercover side of investigating. Now, book three, Body of Evidence feels a bit more like a psychological thriller than its predecessors, and it’s also perhaps the swooniest overall. Additionally, while most of Hannon’s suspense books are set in St. Louis and its suburbs, Body of Evidence takes place in a rural town a bit farther out. I loved the uniqueness of each book – it kept the series fresh and exciting, and it spotlighted Hannon’s ability to excel in different styles of suspense. No matter what style she writes, I’m here for it – all of them were superb.

Nate and Grace are my favorite couple in this series, I think. Nate is certainly my fave of the Reilly sisters’ heroes, though I’ve loved them all. I really respected his attempt to extricate himself honorably from a relationship that wasn’t working and his dogged pursuit of the truth. Grace is both courageous and vulnerable, and I related to her more than I did Eve or Cate (though, again, I loved them both too), her ability to conduct an autopsy notwithstanding. I get queasy at the sight of blood or other bodily fluids so it’s safe to say that a career in forensic pathology is not in my future. The suspense thread in this story had me all discombobulated – I suspected pretty much everyone except Nate and Grace before it was over, and I only figured out the main culprit a split second before Hannon revealed it to us.

Bottom Line: It’s no secret that Irene Hannon is one of my top favorite romantic suspense authors, and this series – including Body of Evidence – is a prime example why. As I’ve said before, I applaud suspense reads that can still surprise me, given how much crime drama I watch and how many mystery & suspense novels I read, and all three books accomplished this in stunning ways. Body of Evidence had me from the opening line (“Someone was in the mortuary prep room.”) to the last (“Maybe her sisters had found their real-life heroes first, but as far as she was concerned, God had saved the best one for last.”) And in my opinion, Hannon has done the same thing with book three – saved the best for last.

Enjoyed this last book in the series about the Reily sisters.

Grace is a forensic pathologist and stumbles upon a connection between two deaths. While she can't quite let go of the similarity, she does some of her own research. Sheriff Nate Cox isn't convinced until his investigation begins to link pieces together as well. They work together to discover what's going on but the mastermind is bent on murder and Grace is in their sights.

I enjoyed this story and the suspense, it was well done to the end.

MISCHIEF, MAYHEM & MURDER!

Award-winning author Irene Hannon is known for writing dynamic romantic suspense novels. Her latest release, Body of Evidence, is full of mischief, mayhem and murder. Her plot is centered around forensic pathologist Grace Reilly who serves in rural Missouri. She notices a strange pattern in the autopsies of senior citizens and takes her findings to Sheriff Nate Cox. From the moment she starts suspecting an unusual death of the first victim, her life is in danger. That is the moment when Hannon begins her magic and weaves a compelling story that will keep you reading all night!

What I like best about Body of Evidence is that Grace and Nate are excellent characters. They are both flawed but readers will quickly know they will be perfect for each other – if they can just work through some things. Also, I like that Hannon uses the suspense in the story to drive the romance. Another element I like is that they both have close relationships with their families. I highly recommend this enjoyable mystery!

Body of Evidence by Irene Hannon is the third book in the Triple Threat Series and my favorite. Oh, I definitely enjoyed all thee but for some reason I was enraptured by the who, what and how. This book features the youngest Reilly sibling Grace. She is a forensic pathologist and is very good at what she does. She is also the most romantic of the three sisters, but the last to find romance.

There is so much going on and several who could be bad guys that I kept going back and forth in my mind who it could be. I definitely recommend this book to all romantic suspense lovers. Even though this is the third book in the series, it could be read as a stand alone, but I recommend reading all three to enjoy it even more.

In book three of the Triple Threat series, we come to sister Grace Reilly, a forensic pathologist in rural Missouri. Her work takes her to several counties and not always ideal conditions in which to conduct her autopsies. With a bright mind, she suspects foul play in some recent elder deaths. But proving it takes some real teamwork with Sheriff Nate Cox. Things get more complicated and dangerous when Grace is targeted but does not know who or why she is being harassed.
Lots of suspects and motives arise to throw Nate and Grace together. The sparks fly. Find out what keeps them from their first date!
Ms Hannon does major research and puts a lot of creative thought into a thoroughly absorbing tale full of suspense. This is not for the squeamish, but it is so interesting that it kept me turning pages until midnight. I do wish it had more Christian content but was a very clean read. I am looking forward to her next series.

This has been a fabulous series -- no surprise there, given the author! The books are loosely connected through the three Reilly sisters and I say loosely, because while there is plenty of sisterly bonding time in each novel, the books standalone and can be read out of order...if you like to go renegade like that. :-) But, oh my, the sister scenes are some of my favourite. Between quips and heart-to-hearts and movie trivia quotes...so much fun!!!! And provide some comic relief from the all the nefarious aspects of the suspense.

There's so much to love about that too. Like the way Hannon brings depth to her villains. They aren't a diabolically evil cliche, but rather, fleshed out characters with back stories that don't make what they do right, but do make their actions (well some of them) more understandable. And she gives us a nice mix of knowing some of the players and being in the dark about others. I also appreciate the 'real time' investigative aspects of the case. Oh, and the autopsy scenes were both gross and funny, :-)

That brings me to the very swoonable romantical elements of this story. Happy sigh. Nate and Grace are known to each other in a professional capacity, but they've never met and when they do, sparks fly! Love the stuttering stop/start momentum at the beginning. Hannon takes her time developing a bond and clearing the way for the possibility of more but she also diverts the course of true love with enough stumbling blocks to make it interesting.

A truly stunning conclusion to the 'Triple Threat' series. Can't wait to find out what this author has in store for us next!

Actually a 4.5 for me but still and excellent series

This series was excellent. Each brought their own individual story to each book. From the first book it just got better and better. This book focuses on the youngest sister who is a Forensic Pathologist who with the help of the local sheriff is trying the solve a group of murders. In the process they fall in love. Now I usually can figure out who done it but this one had me guessing. They absolutely give you no clues even their sex. I throughly enjoyed the mystery and the romance wasn't half bad itself. I loved Grace our main protagonist of the story. Her quick wit and her ability to discovers the clues was ingenious. The male protagonist Nate was loving but strong and helped in the process. I have to admit I don't think Christian novels do well with thrillers but this one was excellent. I have to hand it to Irene Hannon and this clever series. Highly recommend for all you thrillers lovers out there!!!

A well-written Romantic suspense book full of intrigue, mystery, and twists and turns, a clean and proper romance balanced 50/50 with the suspense. the characters were likable, well-developed, and had interesting careers, and adding Grace's job made the story entertaining. A page-turner read. A story that will have you wondering about the outcome until the final pages are read. I enjoyed seeing Nate and Grace's interaction and how they built of their relationship progressed. the plot of the story is complex, I didn't know who the murderer was almost until the end, and was still choking.

This book is a totally satisfying combination of suspense and romance that kept me up until the very end.

While this book is part of a series it stands as his own, but I would recommend reading the entire series.

I would like to thank Revell Publishing and Netgalley for the eARC and the opportunity to give an honest opinion.

This was a really satisfying story and a great ending to this series! I liked the first two books in this series--they weren't my all time favorites, but I really enjoyed them--and I had high expectations for this book: I loved it! Now, I had the same problems with it as I had with the first two books in the series, but this one is my favorite out of the three.

tw // vomiting (including discussions of and descriptions of the smell), infidelity (not detailed, but a heavy part of this book), assault, Grace is a pathologist, so there are some pretty graphic descriptions of her job, including her sawing into a skull, weighing a liver, etc.

This book was super well-rounded, which I really like. The pacing is really well done: it kept my attention the whole time and I was hooked to see where the story would go. There was also more development for the characters: Grace and Nate were better developed than some of the other characters written by Hannon that I'd read. Their internal monologue was consistent and made sense with the plot line, which sometimes doesn't happen in Christian suspense fiction.

There was once again a lot of physical attraction between the two main characters, but it was less than the other books by Hannon I read, which was good (some of the other descriptions are . . . A Lot). There was definitely quite a bit of noticing, and there were some spicier innuendos (one scene where one character mentions on the phone that they are about to go change and leave, and the other finds that information very interesting, and they make a joke about it, Nate sees Grace's "curves" under her shirt and thinks that he needs to go take a cold shower, among others). The two characters do have insta-love, but not in an annoying way.

One thing about this book that I wasn't a huge fan of was the strict male and female divide: Nate's testosterone was mentioned multiple times, which was a little uncomfy, and there other such observations: women's intuition, a man's strength, and stuff like that, which I'm not a huge fan of. Nate is immediately very protective of Grace, almost as soon as they meet, which is supposed to be a marker of his manly protectiveness, which is also a little . . . sus for me.

By far the best part of this book is the suspense plot: it had the best plot out of Christian suspense fiction that I've read in a while, and it kept me guessing all the way up to the end. The ending was really well foreshadowed, with the appropriate stakes and the appropriate responses by the characters. There were just enough red herrings to keep the mystery complex, but without making it confusing. The ending wasn't rushed, and everything tied up in a satisfying way. I was really afraid that the plot was going to go one direction that is overused (at least in my opinion) and it didn't go that way, which made me really happy. There were some chapters from the perspective of the antagonist, revealing more information as the story went on, which I really liked, because it added to the foreshadowing.

There were some comments that made me not enjoy this book was much as I would have (Grace has an intense security system on her house in rural Missouri, and the author describes it as a security fetish??????? WHY USE THE WORD FETISH), but overall the plot was really interesting and overall, I really enjoyed this book!

Body of Evidence is the third book in the Triple Threat series and it was wonderful to see Grace find her happily ever after. One of the great things about this series is that you could hop into any of the three books and enjoy it even if you haven’t read any of the other stories. All three sisters make some appearances in each book, yet the stories stand alone, as well.

Grace is a forensic pathologist and I found her work fascinating. She has been such a unique character throughout the other novels, with her work focused around dead bodies. She had trouble finding men who could stomach her job!

Nate Cox was a great match for her. I loved the way they worked together to figure out what was going on and if these deaths were suspicious. I have to say that the first time Nate showed up when Grace was doing an autopsy was priceless!

I didn’t want to set this novel down! The author did a great job of dropping clues about the villain while also keeping the identity very mysterious. This story wrapped up the series nicely. I have been enjoying reading and listening to quite a few books by this author lately. They are definitely some of my favorite romantic suspense titles.

The final book in the Triple Threat Series by Irene Hannon was well worth the wait! This is a stunning conclusion to the series that kept me glued to my seat as I devoured the book and all of its twists. Dr. Grace Reilly is a forensic pathologist while Nate Cox is the sheriff of the little town in Missouri where they live. Grace is convinced that the deaths of several elderly patients is not natural and decides to investigate, even convincing Nate to join in her quest for the truth. She is a stalwart defender of justice and knows something is killing off the elderly, if she can just figure out how. The characters are credible and the action is fast paced and riveting. Even the secondary characters play a major role in solving the mystery, especially investment agent Dave Mullins who is a very likable if gullible character. All of the roles of the characters flow together seamlessly and it was impossible for me to guess the culprit until the very end. That made this novel a very satisfying suspense since I was not able to predict the ending too soon. The romance is inevitable but so lovely, with Nate and Grace gradually giving in to their attraction for each other. I enjoyed the repartee between Grace and her sisters, Eve and Cait and the teasing they all do together. In fact, there was nothing that I did not enjoy about this spine-tingling romantic suspense and look forward to the next suspense series from Hannon. She is an absolute master at creating at atmosphere of building suspense and making the story believable and dramatic at the same time. Fans of clean romantic suspense will want to grab this book right away and will enjoy the multiple layers of deception hidden within its pages that lead to so many red herrings. A perfect book for fans of this genre!

Body of Evidence is the third and final book in Hannon's Triple Threat series. I've been loving this series and found this latest story to be another great read.

I really liked the characters and getting to see Grace's romance story. I have to say that I found the scenes regarding her job a little difficult to read, at times. I'm not usually squeamish, but for some reason the earlier portion of the book got to me. I wasn't bothered later on, though, so I'm not sure why I was SO creeped out in the beginning. lol

All in all, I really enjoyed Body of Evidence and recommend the series to fans of the genre.

Good conclusion to the series! Having a heroine (Grace) perform autopsies for a living made for an interesting way to discover the cause of death and mode of murder. I suspected the villain before the reveal, but still enjoyed the twists and turns as details were unfolded.

"There were better places for a thirty-year-old single woman to hang out at nine o'clock on Friday night than a funeral home. "

Except if you were a dedicated forensic pathologist like Grace Reilly. Reviewing paperwork prior to an autopsy didn't always fit into a nine-to-five schedule . . . on any day. Except that on this particular evening, she was going to discover that someone else knew where she was. . . . leaving her no choice but to have local law enforcement get involved.

When Sheriff Nate Cox responds to Grace's distress call , he isn't expecting to have such a personal reaction to the lovely victim. The crime wasn't serious, but coupled with another bizarre incident, his instincts quickly shift from attraction into a higher level of attention. While Nate and Grace take a second look into her two possibly unrelated personal circumstances, Grace continues her professional probe into two deaths ruled as natural, but with similar oddities. "Appearances weren't always what they seemed."

Honestly, it seemed easy to suspect every single character of foul play; the hints are subtle, the evidence is cleverly concealed, and multiple dead ends pop up around every turn. Obviously, there is a highly orchestrated scheme playing out in the background and "someone who knew how to kill people without leaving evidence of murder was a formidable opponent who could attack without warning, wreak havoc, and vanish without a trace".

Thank goodness for Nate! And the power of prayer!

Such a good story!
Action, Danger, romance, and more!
The last in the series about the Reilly sisters.

Grace has the exciting career of being a forensic pathologist. This means she gets to perform autopsies. Even though the very idea of an autopsy almost makes me sick to my stomach, I found the detailed explanation of it all very fascinating.
This entire story line hinges on a tiny piece of matter that Grace finds in a routine autopsy, something that should not be there. She is determined to find out what's going on.
Tie in the fact that there have been various sudden deaths of elderly people in the neighboring areas, seemingly unexplained.

This mystery is fascinating, and I found myself quickly reading through this book just to get to the conclusion.
I will say, I had my suspicions fairly early on as to who might be behind all of the deaths...but I was kept guessing as I read.
I loved getting to know these three sisters, and I think this is my new favorite series by Irene Hannon. I was sad to reach the end of the book.
I highly recommend this series for anyone that loves reading a good mystery.

Body of Evidence by Irene Hannon is the third in the Triple Threat series. While the entire series is a must-read, you can probably jump in with Body of Evidence and keep up. The series focuses on three sisters, and this is Grace Reilly’s story. Hers is probably the most fascinating out of her sister’s stories in that Grace is a forensic pathologist. She took a lot of grief from her sisters in past books for choosing to hang out with dead bodies on a Saturday night rather than go out with, you know, the living.

Grace takes a job in a rural county and starts to see a pattern develop when a few elderly people die. She suspects foul play, but there isn’t enough conclusive evidence. She meets Sherriff Nate Cox, who believes her. Sparks fly between the two as they try to prove that something nefarious is happening in their small town.

I love this series, so of course Body of Evidence hit my wish list as far as a “must-read” story. The mystery took me a while to unravel, and I love Grace’s spunk. My favorite scenes are when she gets together with her sisters. Their camaraderie is quite entertaining.

If you are looking for a fast-paced and enjoyable book to kick off your fall, look no further than Body of Evidence on October 4th.

I received an ebook review copy of this book through NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Irene Hannon has long been one of my top favorite Christian suspense authors, and is an author who keeps putting out fresh new suspense that seems to be even better than the previous books.

This has been a really great series, and Body of Evidence, the last book in the trilogy, may be the best of the three. Forensic pathology is a fascinating subject, and Hannon did a great job of portraying it in the character of Grace Reilly. The descriptions of the autopsies were not gory, but gave enough information to be interesting.

The plot was interesting and well done: murders that were done so well that they appeared to be natural deaths, suspected at first only by Grace, and then by Nate.

Grace and Nate were great and likable characters, and both determined to find out what the truth was, no matter how many obstacles were in their way, including convincing the coroner that the deaths were not natural and they needed more tests done on the bodies.

This is romantic suspense, and the romance part was more of a slow burn. Slight spoiler: not a lot happens in that department til closer the end of the book.

The suspense part of the book was also kind of a slow burn. There are no chases or shootings, but it is still a big page turner and there are attacks on Grace that are more low key.

In books like these where the killer is unknown, I always try to figure out who it is, and sometimes I am successful. I was not in this book. I figured it out right before Nate did, and it was not a big leap at that point, but it was a big surprise....I did not see that one coming at all.

The book had a great satisfying conclusion that brought all three sisters together, and not only tied up the murder investigation quite well, but also the romance angle.

Body of Evidence shows that even after all the books and series this author has written, she still has it.

I was provided a copy of this book for review purposes. All opinions in this review are my own.

Irene Hannon has become one of my favorite authors of Christian romantic suspense. Her books have an engaging plot with just the right combination of suspenseful tension and clean romance. I really enjoyed this book because this story has several subplots that were serious, yet tastefully done. I felt that I had read a great story and had nuggets of truth that I took away from it too.

I liked seeing that the victims in this story received the justice they deserved in making the those who had wronged them answer for the crimes that were committed against them. Grace Reilly ended up being my favorite sister of the three Reilly ladies. A forensic pathologist with a love of truth and pursuing a case, even when threatened and doubted, had me admiring Grace more and more as the story progressed. Sheriff Nate Cox was very similar to Grace because he pursued leads and went after even the smallest lead to investigate this case. He was just the man that Grace needed in her life because he understood her need to find answers and teamed up with her to see it happen.

This is the third book in the Triple Threat series, but can be read as a standalone. I recommend this book if you like similar authors such as Dani Pettrey, Dee Henderson, or Cara Putman.

Thank you to Revell and NetGalley for a copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

This is a good book of mystery and suspense from Hannon. The plot is developed well. We come to know there is a killer at work since we read some of that person's thoughts. We don't know who the person is or how the unusual murders are done. I appreciate Hannon bringing in a new method of murder, seemingly almost undetectable. I also appreciate the heroine, Grace, thinking through the unusual situation well enough that she knows what expert to consult. The villain was not a surprise as we are kind of set up for it but Hannon did a good job of hiding the conclusive information until near the suspenseful end.

There is some romance in this novel between Grace and the sheriff. I was happy to see that it was very well done. While we are reminded of its presence, the romance remains in the background while the murders and investigation are still going on. The romance is not rushed nor inappropriate.

This is a good novel for readers who like a tenacious heroine in a rather unusual profession. The faith aspect is present but rather subtle. While this novel is part of a series, it read well on its own. Characters from the previous novels enter this one, adding to character interest but not essential to the plot. Hannon has not lost her touch for crafting engaging fiction and I'll be looking for her next one.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.

This was a great series finale for Irene Hannon's Triple Threat series. If you've not read the other 2 books, this one could be read as a stand-alone, but you get the stories of Grace's sisters in the prior 2 books. This book follows Grace Reilly, whose sisters always tease her that she'll never find a man while working as a forensic pathologist (one who does autopsies). However, when there's a new sheriff in town who is an eligible bachelor, all bets are off. While I tend to prefer the suspense element of romantic suspense over the romance, this romance was one that I really enjoyed. There was no beating around the bush or playing coy games as Grace and Nate spoke their minds. It was a refreshing change in the romance genre. I really enjoyed the suspense element of this one as well. There was a unique method of murder happening and the villain was unexpected (though I had my suspicions).

This series following the Reilly sisters has been enjoyable from the beginning and each one has gotten progressively better. I enjoyed Grace's story the best - probably because I saw a lot of myself in her. I enjoyed the character dynamics and development. The faith element in this one was a bit subtle, but was present. The mystery was well developed and had me turning pages to see what was going to happen next. And it had a good ending that gave closure to not only this story, but also the other sisters. All in all this was an enjoyable read and I would recommend this book and the others in this series to fans of romantic suspense. I look forward to reading more by this author! Special thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance e-copy of this novel. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.

I liked the book pretty well. It had a good plot and great characters. Grace was good at her job and very good at bantering with her man, Nate.
A great mystery always has a good surprise and I was fully surprised at the end at who did it. The book had some good turns.
The romance was a little over done for me, when I read a suspense novel I am looking for mostly suspense and not too much romance, and this one had more romance than I generally like in my suspense novels.
I enjoyed reading about the pathology…best part of the book. Though, I’d never want to be one, I do like to read about it, and what they can find in the deceased body.
Some good qualities included in the book are great family ties and laughter among the people.
I was disappointed that the book didn’t have much of a faith theme. I know it is hard to put it in some suspense books, but this one I felt there could have been more. The main characters prayed and went to church, but that was about as far as it went for faith.
I enjoyed the book just the same. It was able to keep me wanting to go back and read it, just so I could know who did it!
I received this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This was a good think outside of the box mystery. Pathologist Grace feels she is recognizing a pattern amongst deaths of some elderly residence. Everyone just shrugs their shoulders and blames old age and the heart giving out for the deaths but something is off. When she goes out on a limb while doing the autopsies and finds a common seed in the stomach of more than one her suspicion goes on high alert. What are the odds that more than one person died with a sunflower seed in their stomach. Bound and determined to find out what is happening, Grace becomes a target herself while others still believe she is just reading into things. Bound to found out the truth, Grace does not stop and no one will stop her either. I really enjoyed the storyline on this one, and it was a different way to write the mystery. It was not at all predictable and I kept wondering myself how the truth of what happened to these elderly residents was. I will be looking to read the others in this series and also to see where this series goes in the future. Thank you to the author and to the Revell blogger program for the free novel.

Though this was not my favourite suspense by Irene Hannon, the mystery and intrigue about what is happening to the senior citizens kept me invested in the suspense plot. With a few different suspects, the author kept this reader guessing. Though I did suspect the killer just before the reveal, it was still a shocking revelation that it was in fact that person.

Readers who enjoy romance in their suspense, should thoroughly enjoy the building romance between Nate and Grace. For me the balance was about 50/50 and I do prefer my suspense more on the 80/20 scale. Yet, the characters were easy to like and with the added detail of Grace’s job, there was enough to keep this reader entertained.

This can be read as a standalone, even though it is the third of the series and we see Cate and Eve from the first two books in the series. I did enjoy the scenes with all three sisters but did feel that it was limited and would have appreciate a few more.

I did enjoy this series and would recommend it to fans of Romantic Suspense.

Another fantastic suspense mystery from Irene Hannon. I NEVER miss an Irene Hannon book-be it a romantic suspense or a contemporary romance, she is always at top of my list. "Body of Evidence" doesn't disappoint. The mystery on this one is completely absorbing and the moment I figured out the criminal, my mouth literally dropped open. Moments like that don't happen often for me. This is a stellar mystery, and it also gives us a lovely budding "something" between Nate and Grace. A great read/listen for me. Can't wait for Irene's next romantic suspense series, trust me, she never fails to deliver!

I received this book from the publisher but also purchased my own Audible copy. All thoughts are my own.
