For the first time since he began writing, three-time New York Times bestselling author Atticus is inviting readers to take a look behind the mask as he embarks on a powerful journey inward in search of love, peace, and acceptance.
Even if you’ve never heard his name, you’ve probably met someone with his words tattooed on their skin or heard them sung at a music concert. Atticus, the young anonymous NYT Best Selling Author, has taken the world by storm with his beautiful poetry and powerful, simple themes of love and strength of the human spirit. Dubbed “The #1 Person to Follow” by Teen Vogue. And “The World’s Most Tattoo-able Poet” by Galore Magazine, he has been followed, quoted, and shared by some of the world’s top superstars, from Karlie Kloss to Shawn Mendes, Emma Roberts, and Alicia Keys. His words have been tattooed by tens of thousands of his avid followers. He has been featured in Time Magazine, Elle, The Guardian, Fast Company, Publishers Weekly, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. He has worked with Kygo, Maroon 5, Absolute Vodka, Stance Socks, Target, Urban Outfitters, and Refinery 29. In 2020 Atticus launched his own brand of wine aptly called, Lost Poet which has become the #1 selling wine on Winc. All while wearing a mask and keeping his identity a secret. In his words, “sending love from the shadows.”
His fourth poetry collection, LVOE, is a study into himself. Using his instantly recognizable lyrical style, gorgeous black-and-white illustrations, and relatable themes, Atticus will once again dazzle readers, inspiring them to also look within. This collection will feature all-new poems, each paired with beautiful sketches that bring the words alive from the page.
An exploration of self-love, meditation, meaning, loss, and romance, LVOE is a look forward, a look backward, but most importantly, a look inward to the often confusing yet hopeful human experience.
“ I love you more than chocolate,” she said. And I just wasn’t ready For that sort of pressure.
Im sorry guys I know everyone likes this book but I just can’t get behind it. Almost every “poem” in this book is subpar and cliche. None of the poems were memorable in any regard, and I would blame that on just how painfully superficial they were. On some pages I physically cringed…
To everyone I work with, I’m glad you found a poem book that spoke to you and that is the beauty of poetry. This is just my personal (very blunt) opinion on this.
I went ahead and gave it 2 stars because I do enjoy the concept of having a tattoo artist do the drawings in this book. But even then, some of the tattoo designs are this trendy minimalist line work that in 2 years will be seen as outdated.
Well, let's just set aside culture finally beginning to catch up with how cynical and manipulative Atticus is — a grown man writing with the specific aim of making young girls #FeelDeep; his approach shares plenty of DNA with grooming — and get to the good stuff: his dopey, Depressica-facing nonsense cosplaying as poetry.
Some personal favorites from the hilariously titled LVOE (according to Atticus, so dubbed to "celebrate the imperfections of love" bahahaha):
We are all just the ghosts of stars shining our little shine back to the sky. Uh, no we aren't. What dat mean? Idiot.
Poetry is the place where two imaginations touch. Oooh, interesting. A car seat is the place where two butts touch. POETRY.
To love and be loved is the true poetry of life. Cool, you cribbed Nat King Cole, and then just plunked the word "poetry" in there.
Don't dream to live forever, dream to forever live while you're alive. 🥴 Okie doke. I see what you did there, flipping the order of words and making mid fortune cookie filler.
It's unclear to me why dude's collections aren't just numbered volumes in a Chicken Soup for the #SadGirl's Soul series, but in either case, there's no denying that few "writers" will ever be as fun or dumb as Atticus.
I usually like this poet, but this book read like every other pseudo poet saturating the market. So much of this was cliche, unimaginative, and just a first draft thought penned on paper. Where is the imagery? The provocative writing? Where are ANY poetic devices? I was far more interested is the sketches
Oh, how I love Atticus poetry. He writes about love so beautifully, so whimsically, and I eat it with a spoon and beg for more. There is something so alluring about the fact that he is anonymous, and I not only respect that, but applaud it. This book was just as lovely to read as all of his others. It’s a mixture of love found, love yearned for, love that is fleeting, love that is infinite, love undeserved, and love that is once in a lifetime. The love for people, places, things, and all of the stars in the sky.
Gosh was abit skeptical at first but towards the end was in tears. A very lovely surprise at the end of a short story with the same title as his last book "love her but leave her wild". Always wondered what the poet meant by that and today I learned.
One of my favourite quotes: " Many don't realize that some of us wage a great battle every day just to feel normal."~ Atticus
The art in the book was created by a tattoo artist, inspired by real tattoos. LOVE THAT. The edge painted variegated pages are beautiful. And the poems evoked some emotions in me, so 5 stars it is.
LVOE: Poems, Epigrams & Aphorisms, convey a mezmerizing reality. This read by Atticus Poetry is succinct and in its simplicity there are many messages. Illustrations give depth to the poetry and the handwritten notes impart a sense of a personal flair only achieved in intimate conversations.
To bring out the best in people To make them realize they were so much more Than what they believed— And that gift I knew Was in all ways magic. —Atticus"
Atticus is a masked NYT Best Selling Author. He has orchestrated a most lovely abode with elegant poetry expounding upon the themes of love. Atticus delights with conservative amount of words to describe the formidable strength of the human spirit. He has a wine named: Lost Poet.

Although love is imperfect, Atticus describes it in a poetic and self-specific way, and with the help of his words it becomes special and ultimately perfect.
I enjoyed every written word of this collection of poems, and some poems touched me so much because I felt as if they were written for me.
Was hoping I could find something in this that I connected with but was terribly disapointed. There was one or two pieces I thought were good, not great but decently ok. Overall, it read like a writer who thought his words were the best in the world, despite using age old cliches and metaphors.
"Don't give them years if they won't give you a lifetime."
Wow. This book felt like a warm, inviting hug. I absolutely loved it. The way the author talks about love makes me think that there really is someone out there waiting for me. I hope I get to meet that someone soon.
Probably one of the worse “poetry” books I have read. A lot of these are very unpoetic and completely took me out of this book. I was genuinely laughing at some of the poems in here. “It was in that moment that I was finally comfortable being alone that you wandered into my life demanding snuggles” WHAT IS THAT. I actually got a quarter way through this book and shelved it for 4 months until now. I’m actually so disappointed that I wasted my money on this book. The only great thing about this book is the cover.
Felt like alot of this was repeating the same meaning but in different words, i get it, Paris was magical but majority of us dont have that experience so talking about that so much isn't relevant at all. Also struggled to read some of the words properly. Maybe i just didn't get it like his others but it was pretty bland and repetitive.
i didnt read the entirety of the last chapter, but overall i really enjoyed this poetry book. very romantic and wholesome at some points.. but the constant mentioning of paris was silly to me. multiple times, this writing made me tear up from grief, hope, and left me feeling as though the author saw right through me. i love when media makes me feel something and reflect, and this book did just that. def recommend.
“Never go in search of love go in search or life and life will find you the love you seek.”
This is a collection that falls a bit flat for me, despite the undeniable appeal of its romantic themes. While I understand the charm it holds for many readers, I couldn’t help but feel that it leaned too heavily on clichés, especially when exploring love—an undeniably central theme.
A lot of the poems feel predictable, often hitting familiar notes about love, heartbreak, and the search for connection. I get it, love is messy and complicated, but the way these ideas were presented didn't offer much in terms of originality or depth. Some of the lines felt like they were written to sound profound but ultimately came off as too familiar or overly simplistic. This, of course, could be appealing to readers looking for short, easy-to-digest reflections on love, but for me, it didn’t hit the mark.
That being said, the book does have its moments. There are a few lines and epigrams that resonated, and I can appreciate the way Atticus captures the fleeting nature of relationships and emotions. Still, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the collection was mostly surface-level, offering little more than a glimpse of what love is in its most familiar forms.
Ultimately, LVOE is a quick, light read that offers what you'd expect from a love-centered poetry collection, but it doesn’t take the genre to any new or exciting places. If you’re a fan of straightforward, accessible love poems that embrace their clichés, this one might be for you. But if you’re looking for something with more depth or originality, this may not be the best fit.
This book was so hard for me to finish. I understand that poetry can be all over the place sometimes but usually it has some coherence. I think this book had good intentions but was not executed well.
I finally got my chance to read this book, and I do have some thoughts on it. Truth be told; I've never really been in love romantically before. Oh trust me, I do believe in the concept of love. However, for someone like myself, the prospect has never really revealed itself to me before. It might be a bit personal, but I've never seen myself as being desirable or wanted by another person of the male variety.
So as I was reading this book, the poems where he describes how much he loves and sees the best in the woman he's talking about; I thought they were very sweet, but I couldn't really connect with them, since I've never experienced that myself. The poems I did connect with however, were the ones talking about how you are already enough and that you don't have to be like other people. All in all, there were twelve poems in this book that truly spoke to me as a person, and for that I am grateful.
I think this poem was my favorite: 'All she wanted / was for someone to look at her and see the person / she hid so well.' - Atticus
Like much of Atticus’s other work LVOE. consists of several parts. Her, Love, Soul & Cuddle. Each part contains different phrases, poetry or poems that may apply to that specific theme. They might or might not have something to do with it. For the reader the task to find out how, or not. Figuring out the text can also be a little challenge, which forms a discovery for each and every reader.
Some Atticus’s texts have a specific meaning, sometimes it’s quite clear what that is. Although, sometimes something extra or something personal can be added between the lines. You might find yourself better in one text than in another, but that variety is nice.
The only disadvantage in my opinion of this bundle was the new way of filling up the white space on the pages. In his previous books, beautiful black and white photos were used. Often simple, but with a deeper layer or meaning that fits well with the relevant text. In LVOE. the text is accompanied by often simple line drawings created by a tattoo artist. They often have a supporting function, but it still feels different from those beautiful black and white photos from the previous books.
As for Atticus’s writing style, every text, every sentence has a nice cadence, which makes it a pleasure to read. Sometimes one sentence tells a whole story, and sometimes a whole poem tells just something very small. The variety between this is wonderfully liberating. The book can be read in one sitting, but you can also pick it up from time to time to continue, or start over, or read from back to front.
LVOE. once again is a beautiful collection of texts, poems and poetry. Sometimes one sentence is enough to tell a whole story. Experience it yourself in this beautiful new collection of Atticus.
