A seaside town selling the supernatural, a fun-fair ride with a deadly twist, and a realtor-turned-sleuth rediscovering her purpose.
Tabby is settling into Crystal Cove and her new home on a magic-infused houseboat when the summer fair comes to town. She and her newly-inherited cat, Sherlock, man the coffee truck while screams of excitement erupt from the nearby rides. Soon the fun screams turn to shrieks of horror when a dead body is discovered on one of the rides, and Tabby may be the only one who can help her detective friends figure out how it got there.
Apparently, Crystal Cove has no shortage of secrets or murders, and once again Tabby may be the only person who can see through its shroud of illusions.

This is the second book in the Tabitha Chase Days of the Week paranormal cozy mystery series. It picks up 3 months after Tabby has settled in Crystal Cove. As it builds on relationships with the townspeople from Witchy Wednesday and a childhood experience in the prequel novella available from the author’s mailing list, readers may get the most enjoyment from reading the series in order. However, familiarity with those sources is not necessary to find this a satisfactory stand alone mystery.
Tabby is with Detective Jameson at the fair when a body is discovered on one of the rides. The victim is a thoroughly disliked businessman and suspects are plentiful. Tabby and her psychic cat, Sherlock, again assist the detectives in sorting through the motives to get to the truth. She begins to set aside more of her skepticism and explore her own mystical powers.
Well crafted and nicely paced. I found this to be another charming installment to the series. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
The second book in a new series by Denise finds Tabby at a town fair selling coffees to the fair goers. Unfortunately things take a turn from happy to shock as a man is discovered dead inside a bear costume-and this man seems to have a unending list of people who wanted him dead!
Will Tabby and her cat Sherlock be able to get to the bottom of this mystery as she finds herself getting deeper and deeper into the case? Whodunnit and why? Good questions as people are being interviewed about the incident.
This is a fun cozy mystery series and if you liked Denise’s other series with Mallory and her cat Hunch, then you’ll love this series as well! I definitely recommend it as a sure fire remedy to get your mind off all the troubles and chaos we seem to be surrounded by for these past few years! One needs an escape and for me reading a book is far better than watching some inane show on tv! It’s so easy to just get comfortable and let your mind take you on a trip to places you may have visited before or at least the vicinities you know so the book is like an old friend bring back memories of those places or giving you new memories of places to visit in the future.
I love Denise’s writing and her stories! Tabby is finally starting to want to experience that wonder of magic again she had as a young girl when she would visit her now deceased aunt on the houseboat she now calls her home!
Why not get this series and get to know a new book friend who I’m sure you’ll want to follow in the future books as well! I’ll be there and hope you’ll join me as we explore and find out what is going to happen next to Tabitha and Sherlock!
This is the second book in this series and it surely keeps you wanting more! With some chuckles an incredible psychic cat, Sherlock and Tabby learning that maybe her aunt knew something about Tabby's own magical abilities. She has decided to keep her aunts houseboat stay in Crystal Cove. She gets a job in the local cafe as a barista and is enjoying herself as well as working as the rental agent for some of the houseboats at the marina. The fair has come to town and Tabby is manning the Coffee truck for the cafe. When the town no longer wanted to sponsor the fair, business owner, and nasty man, Frank Klaus decided to take it over and bring it to town. Tabitha, gets a break from manning the coffee truck and the detective, Jay, pulls her over to go on some rides. When they get near the Ferris wheel, they find Frank Klaus, in a bear suit, dead on the ride. With so many people hating the man, suspects abound. With some humor, lots of false starts, dead ends, red-herrings and Tabby working with Detective Jay to the chagrin of a jealous detective Aaron, and with the help of her intuitive and psychic cat, and her magic coming out in dreams, this story keeps you turning pages until the end. And what a surprise ending. This is a fun series with great characters! The witches who are constantly jealous of each other, but they still protect each other and lots of secrets and with Tabby trying to get a handle on her magic, you are left wanting more! I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
My favorite investigative duo, Tabby and her beloved smarter than average feline friend Sherlock, are back! Tabby has settled into Crystal Cove after a rough start and is finding herself enjoying her new home. The fair comes to town and brings with it a murder. This time around, Tabby is not a suspect, but an integral part of the investigative team (along with Sherlock).
This book was action packed with a lot of twists and turns I did not see coming. There were a lot of characters each with a motive and means to commit the murder, so it was definitely a guessing game. Sherlock is more prominent in this book, which was an added bonus for me! An even bigger bonus was the cute animation of Sherlock at the beginning of each chapter. This was a well paced and well written mystery.
I loved the developing relationships between Tabby and the people of Crystal Cove. It made me feel like I was actually an inhabitant of Crystal Grove seeing everything unfold so naturally.
I really enjoyed this book. All of the Tabitha Chase stories are standalone books, but I do enjoy reading about Tabby and her life as it unfolds in each book. I look forward to seeing just what magical powers Tabby may possess, how her aunt's stones will help her and how it will affect her life and the relationships she shares with everyone in Crystal Grove.
I received an advanced copy of Thrilling Thursday from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
The carnival has come to Crystal Cove and brought a world of trouble with it. Tabby is settling into her new home, working at the coffee shop and doing some property management for houseboat owners. On the carnivals opening night she’s working at the coffee truck and then goes in some rides with Jay Jameison handsome detective. Unfortunately the night takes a downhill turn when the body of the organizer is found on the Ferris Wheel. Tabby’s sleuthing instincts take over and along with her intuitive cat Sherlock she is out to find the murderer. Definitely a fun read! Love the quirky vibe of Crystal Cove small town and mystical all rolled into one great place. Enjoying Tabby’s journey to find her own path and not be under her controlling father’s thumb. Great world building, funny and likable characters, a puzzling mystery with plenty of suspects and a carnival background to set the stage. Great read and an exciting new series I’m very much enjoying!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The fair’s in town and with it, another dead body and Tabby’s right there when it’s found. A great mystery with plenty of suspects because the dead man had gone out of his way to alienate folks when he was alive. Good twists at the end. Nice to see Tabby growing in her personal and business development and even some with her powers. Sherlock the cat is a great help and Jay and Tabby make a great working crime solving team. Can’t wait to learn more about Tabby’s powers and the stones and how her mom factors in to all of it. Really looking forward to the next book.
Bonus epilogue (free) What a pleasant surprise to read it from Jay's point of view. Wonderful bridge to the next story. I'm definitely hooked. I like how Denise Jaden explained why Jay was drawn to the boat.
Thrilling Thursday by Denise Jaden is the second book in her Tabitha Chase Days of the Week Mystery series. Tabitha Chase had originally gone to Crystal Cove to sell her deceased aunt's houseboat. Tabby had visited her aunt as a child and her aunt insisted that Tabby had magic. Being in Crystal Cove and deciding to not sell her aunt's houseboat and staying there made Tabby consider her aunt had told her the truth. There were other witches in Crystal Cove so Tabby began to believe. Then the second murder since Tabby's arrival in town occurred and Tabby became involved in the investigation just as she did in book #1, Witchy Wednesday
I really like the characters in this book, especially Tabby. It's fun following along as the two local detectives both seek to date Tabby. Then there's Sherlock, Tabby's aunt's cat, now Tabby's cat. Sherlock helps Tabby with investigating the murder mystery. I love all the magic in this series.
Thrilling Thursday is book #2 in the Tabitha Chase Days of the Week Mystery series by Denise Jaden.
Tabby is settling into her new home in Crystal Cove on her Aunt Lizzie’s houseboat. She has a couple of jobs and Sherlock to take care. She’s working at a local fair when a dead body is found. Her detective friends are investigating, and she and Sherlock are there to assist.
I really enjoy this series. It is interesting to see Tabby’s struggle with whether magic is real or not. Sherlock is a magical cat and helps or not just like a regular cat. The town’s witches may not like each other, but they stick together. The carnies at the fair do as well, making this a challenging mystery to solve. It is a fun, quick read and I look forward to the next installment.
Thank you to the author for the copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Tabby and her psychic cat Sherlock are living on her aunts houseboat in Crystal Cove. She is working as a barista and her friend Jay is a detective. During a festival, Frank, the man everyone loved to hate is found dead on a ride in a costume. Between her dreams, Sherlocks two cents and the detectives, they have their hands full with town secrets, drama, danger, surprises, bickering, paranormals not getting along and much more. Loved the personalities and quirks of those involved, the entertaining situations, hidden agendas and Tabby learning more about herself and her new magic. Great surprise ending and looking forward to the next book in the series.

Crystal Cove and its residents are worth a read! Tabby is still sorting out what she feels about magic but she seems to keep stumbling onto dead bodies! With the help of her amazing cool cat, Sherlock with his blue crystals and fun glasses, she tries to determine whodunit when the head of the local summer fair ends up dead. In between searching for clues, she is running her rental business and sorting out her feelings for the two police detectives in town.
This book is an easy read, the plot moves smoothly and quickly. The characters are well developed and interact in ways that are relatable.
I am now reading Book 1, Witchy Wednesday and look forward to the rest of the week!
Tabby is living on a magical houseboat in Crystal Cove. When the summer fair arrived, she was working at the coffee truck. She is now on break, so Detective Jay Jameson wants to take her on some of the rides to have a little fun. Instead, they find Frank Klaus dressed in a bear suit and apparently dead on the ride. He was not very well liked, so there will be many suspects to question. Will Tabby’s psychic cat, Sherlock, help out in finding the murderer? And will Tabby start to check out her own magical powers that are beginning to show up?
Tabby and Sherlock are back to their sleuthing when someone is found dead at the local Fair. This is a roller coaster of a ride trying to figure out who killed the very grumpy and mean man. Tabitha Chase, Tabby to her friends, has decided to stay in Crystal Cove and is making friends. She has also decided to explore if she has any powers, but she isn't sharing that thought with any one else. Lots of suspects to sift through and surprises along the way. Tabby is also contending with two possible suitors. What's a girl to do?
A good book, which I'd recommend to fans of witch-themed cozies, though not as good as the last one. It definitely wasn't as fast a read, and it felt like there was even less of the cat in this one. I'm also not thrilled with the direction that the love triangle has taken, though that is a personal preference. Despite my complaints, I would recommend it, and will probably read the next one, at least.
Tabby has recently moved to Crystal Cove where she’s dabbling at working in a coffee house and renting houseboats. She’s also trying to learn about the crystals that were left to her by her aunt along with the houseboat and cat, Sherlock. Crystal Cove is known for its witchy touch; however, the new town promoter wants to leave that behind. So, when the promoter turns up dead it’s unclear whether the carnies in town for the fair or the witches are responsible. Loved this book.
Here is another fantastic Tabitha chase adventure. Tabitha and Sherlock are out on the town enjoying the carnival and it's rides. Then a body turns up on one of the rides. The characters in this story are alittle complex. I was so caught up in the story and following leads and before I knew it, they caught the killer. It was brilliant with all those plot twists. I definitely would recommend this cozy.

I am enjoying the TABITHA CHASE DAYS of the WEEK MYSTERY series. These are clean, fun books that span many age groups. It is difficult to find books that adults can share with their teenagers and both age groups enjoy the books. I’ve only read a few authors who nailed it like Denise Jaden. The characters are very interesting. I want to go to Crystal Cove just so I can sit in the Heirloom Cafe’ and watch all the interesting people come and go. Now on to Book 3.
Book #2 in the Days of the Week Mystery Series. The fun has just begun at the carnival, but it’s short lived when a murder has occurred. It’s not what Tabby or Detective Jay expected while together on the Ferris Wheel. Another fun who-dunit. I loved it. Hold on wait to see who committed this crazy act. Look forward to the next.
The second book and loved all the characters as I loved Witchy Wednesday. Tabitha Chase aka Tabby has just moved down to Crystal Cove on her last aunts houseboat. More intrigue in this book, and two handsome detectives that are interested in her. What awaits at the carnival is not what Tabby expects. Buy the book to see what happens.
The second installment of the days of the week series was really good. The mystery in this one was riveting and I didn't figure out what was going on until it was revealed in the story.
The background story and the main character coming into her magic is still slow but strides were made in this installment.
A good story- keeps you guessing until the end. The characters felt real and especially loved Sherlock! A couple places were a little confusing at first with clues jumping out all at once in a jumble like feeling. Definitely a fun quick read worth your time
This is the second book in this series. And it keeps you wanting more. Can't wait to read book three. Loved reading this awesome book by author Denise Jaden. Highly recommend reading any or all of her wonderful books...
Tabby is setting down in her new home in Crystal Cove, Oregon when she and her cat Sherlock are called on to solve a murder at the local carnival. Great addition to the series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I like the main character. I would like to see more magic and more witch stuff. I also would like more from the cat. If anything he is even less in this book than the first. Clearly he is a magical cat and can help. Overall good but just want more.
Fun and smooth reading. Great story with humor and feel good story. Starting book three now. Can’t wait to see what surprise the author has in store for us readers.
I enjoyed reading this book, it has an entertaining storyline that is suspenseful and filled with intrigue. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Tabby is just starting to find herself in her new setting. Making new friends, new work and a dead body in a Ferris Wheel, she sets out, with her magical cat Sherlock, to figure out the answer to this murder.
The second in the series is a winner in my book. Tabitha and Sherlock make a strange duo, but seem to always be around when there is a murder and then help to solve it, using somehow a bit of magic. Looking forward to the next book.
