Olivia Mann has started over. After a rough divorce, she’s back in Christmas Grove with her dream job of running an enchanted inn. This season she’s hosting the cast of a popular television show while they film a holiday special. Everything is looking up, until her chef has an accident and is out of commission for six weeks. After struggling to find a replacement, she has no choice but to hire Declan McCabe… the man she hoped to never see again.
Declan McCabe is between jobs. His plan was to take a long vacation before starting his new five-star job in the city. But when his sister breaks her ankle, he’s strongarmed into helping her out. He’s now the head chef at Enchanted, a magical inn on the outskirts of Christmas Grove. The inn itself is full of spelled surprises and a handful of charming spirits. The only problem is his new boss, Olivia Mann. She’s both beautiful and the most irritating person he’s ever met… until she isn’t. All he wants to do is finish his time in Christmas Grove and move on, but when mistletoe is involved, suddenly he finds himself kissing the one woman he shouldn’t. And now Christmas Grove is starting to get into his bones. He’s going to need a little Christmas magic if he’s going to get the happily-ever-after he didn’t know he wanted.
Deanna is a native Californian, transplanted to the slower paced lifestyle of southeastern Louisiana. Really good read. I enjoyed the previous books in this series and this book did not disappoint. Love the fun and magical additions to the creatures and displays. Love Christmas town!
This was another fun installment in the series. For some reason though, I didn't like this one as much as I have enjoyed the previous books. Maybe the vibe of it was a bit different, since there's some hint dropping to setting up a new spin off series from this, I'm not sure.
It was still fun, and a sweet story. I just didn't connect to the MC as much as I have in past stories of this series. There were also a couple of random editing errors that pulled me out a bit as well.
As it is a holiday tradition for my husband to buy me these for Christmas now, I'll likely continue on. However, given that I wasn't super thrilled with the preview of the next story, I'm not sure how that will go.
My favorite book in the Witches of Christmas Grove so far! Olivia and Declan had a strong chemistry from the start and I appreciate romance novels where the characters don’t cause extra strife with miscommunications. Even though he is the stereotypical big city boy who wants to never settle down, watching him fall for Olivia was swoon worthy. 10/10!
This was a delightful holiday story. I really liked the main characters, Declan and Olivia. The craziness of the movie crew overtaking Olivia's inn created a lot of interest. The totally spoiled female lead with her outrageous attitude and demands was a fun character. And the dog, Apollo, was a good one too. I really recommend this book. Read it in less than one day!

Not a stand alone book - the whole witch / magic portion of the story was confusing as I had not read any previous books. Other than that it was an average story.
Took me longer to read this one so taking a break before reading anymore from this series. This one did not keep my interest as well as the previous ones so think a break is necessary.
Well, what can I say after reading book 4 in the Witches of Christmas Grove but WOW it was amazing!
We are back in Christmas Grove, a town that pulls at my heartstrings. There is magic in the air. Olivia, divorced, owns the Enchanted Inn, and has finally found where she belongs. Christmas Grove is a small town but with great character and it's where Olivia belongs. She's happy. Her Inn is the location for the filming of a popular television show but with an actress that just is plain nasty. She blames Olivia for several things that have gone wrong.
In steps Declan, a chef, taking over cooking for the guests and filming crew because his sister broke her ankle. He doesn't like small towns, which we never find out why, but he is stuck helping his sister out and working as head chef at the Enchanted. He tries to keep his distance from Olivia but somehow mistletoe gets involved and he starts to fall for the proprietor. The longer he stays in Christmas Grove the more he tolerates small town living.
The characters are wonderful, and I really enjoyed reading about Olivia and Declan. The writing is flawless, and I read it within 24 hours. Which I usually do with Deanna's books. When one of her books drop I know it's time to put aside the book I was reading and cuddle up because I will have a hard time putting it down. I absolutely love every one of Deanna's books and I have never been disappointed with her stories.
Highly recommend if you like paranormal witch books. You won't be disappointed trust me.
We're back in Christmas Grove and this time we have a spirited inn, a film crew (and all the drama that goes along with that), a sexy chef, and a lady who wants to make her dream inn come true. And just to make things even more interesting, Olivia and Declan have a bit of history. Naked history. Brief naked history, BUT STILL.
So. To help out his injured sister, Declan steps in to run the kitchen at the inn. Which isn't a tough gig, except for that history thing between him and Olivia. To be fair, Olivia's desire to pretend like nothing happened has more to do with Declan being upfront about not wanting anything long term. I mean, the guy is adamant he doesn't want to settle down in a small town and Olivia is determined to put down roots. You can see where the friction comes in, right?
As it turns out, a couple of co-stars who are more lovers than enemies, a little holiday magic, and a lot of introspection have the two of them on the path to coupledom before too long. Sure, it's not a completely smooth road, but they get there. Eventually.
Audio book review The author Deanna wrote another hit. The writing draws you in , Deanna wrote a very detailed and descriptive story.
Book 4 in this fantastic series. We are back in Christmas Grove, , a town full of Magic and dedicated to Xmas . Hero is Declan. Heroine is Olivia. You also meet the dog again , who you meet in a previous story . Olivia finally feels where she actually belongs. Olivia owes an Inn . There is a movie being filmed at Christmas Grove and the actress is acting up blaming everything and everyone.
Declan has no choice but to become the cook for the guests and film crew. His sister usually does all the cooking but she broke her ankle. . The more Declan stays in Christmas Grove the more he wonders why he doesn’t like small towns and the mistletoe helps with Declan feeling to Olivia startling to get stronger.
The performance of Gabra Zackman was fantastic . Her voice draws you into the story. Her tone for all the characters was spot on
Deanna Chase’s A Witch for Mr. Mistletoe takes readers back to Christmas Grove to follow the story of Olivia Mann and Declan McCabe. Olivia owns an enchanted inn, and Declan is temporarily serving as her head chef while the regular chef, his sister Payton, recovers from a broken leg. The fact that Olivia and Declan had a steamy one week affair complicates matters though, especially since Olivia never thought she’d see Declan again. The fact that they’re still incredibly attracted to each other makes the situation even more awkward. Both of them believe they have no future. Recently divorced, Olivia won’t settle for someone who can’t support her dreams, while Declan carries scars from his childhood that won’t let him settle in a small town like Christmas Grove. But Olivia doesn’t have a choice about working with Declan, even if doing so is the last thing she wants to do. She’s rented the inn to a Hollywood production company so they can use it to film a Christmas movie, and she needs a chef to feed the cast and crew. Without the movie money, Olivia won’t be able to keep the inn open, so she’s determined to ignore her issues with Declan and just get through the holidays. But one of the film’s stars makes Olivia crazy with her constant demands, and the other star makes her crazy with his constant flirting. Then she finds herself pretending to be Declan’s girlfriend so he can avoid the attention of the main actress. Add in a series of disturbing dream walks, and Olivia has pretty much reached her breaking point. Unsurprisingly, Olivia and Declan find that their fake relationship makes it even harder to ignore their very real attraction, and soon they give into tempatation. But they just might find that, if they’re willing to face their respective fears, they can have the merriest Christmas of their lives and end up with everything they’ve ever wanted.
A Witch for Mr. Mistletoe is a fun Christmas romance. I wish I had reread the very end of A Witch for Mr. Winter where Ms. Chase sets up the premise of this book though. I felt a little disconnected from the characters in the beginning because I didn’t really remember much about their relationship. The relationship between Declan and his sister added a nice element to this story. I really enjoyed their sibling dynamic, and I’m glad the end of the book sets up Payton’s story for the next installment in the series. Ms. Chase does a wonderful job bringing the magic of Christmas to life in this book. I especially enjoyed her descriptions of the inn’s decorations and the carriage ride Declan took Olivia on. The tension between the two Hollywood stars brought some drama to the story, and I found the way Ms. Chase used Olivia’s dream walks to explore Priscilla’s (the main actress) issues intriguing.
Fans of this series will enjoy A Witch for Mr. Mistletoe. I received an ARC of this novel from the author, but that did not influence my review.
I really enjoyed Olivia and Declan's story. Olivia is finally living her dream of owning a magical inn. With a few problems, her head chef Payton broke her leg, so Declan, Payton's brother steps in to cook up the meals while Payton heals. Declan is a talented chef himself who has a job waiting for him in Napa. Oh, and he and Olivia shared one week together in the past.
The Inn is also the set of a, basically, magical Hallmark Movie, the Inn doubles as lodging for the actors and the set of the movie. The actors are great, and she is getting a nice bonus + free repairs. But, can Olivia survive the magical star's crazy, over-the-top demands and her adorable, yet always escaping, shih tzus?
I will start out with saying that the dog Apollo steals the show in this book! He is adorable and is the comic relief. On to the humans - I love that this story is a rebound of sorts and figuring out if the passion was a one time occurrence or a lifetime one. Olivia and Declan have to navigate their own past baggage of their own lives as well as the most recent between themselves. The Rollercoaster of emotions is worth it - it always is in a Deanna Chase book. If you are looking for a book with passion, romance, Christmas spirit, and some fun magic you are in the right place. A great read that has a happy ending.
And the excerpt for the next book at the end is always a great teaser. I have all year to think about how that one will go and see if my intuition is right.
This is a fun, paranormal romance That's worth giving a festive chance! The Enchanted Inn is the place to stay Or so owner Olivia Mann hopes anyway!
Declan McCabe is covering for his sister as the chef for now With her broken her ankle she can't do it anyhow. The fun starts when he first discovers Olivia and he last met as lovers!
Now there are stars filming a holiday special staying there With dreadful manners and attitudes, demanding care. Can Olivia and Declan resist their attraction now Or will fate intervene with the stars somehow?
A fun read with delightful dogs as well And some things happen from a magical spell. There's also an element of A Christmas Carol, too, As a star really needs a new point of view.
A couple of romances, three canines, magic and a ghost, too, Make this a fun festive read I happily recommend to you. It is part of a series but I've not yet read any more But I hope to soon the others to explore!
Oh what magical Christmas mas fun this story was. Declan and Olivia are perfect together or they became perfect together when they both let go of things holding them back. Olivia has her Inn with a resident cheeky ghost causing her more trouble than the film crew and Hollywood stars staying with her right now. Declan is helping out as the Inn chef while his sister who normally runs the Inns kitchen for Olivia recoverers from a broken leg. Declan and Olivia have a past from 6 months ago but can they put things holding them both back from a future together away for good? This was a charming and endearing story set in an amazing magical town that I love revisiting. The characters are all amazing and every time I read a new book from this series it’s like coming home for Christmas.
Now divorced, Olivia Mann has made a fresh start back in Christmas Grove. She is happily running the Enchanted Inn where a TV show will be filmed for a Christmas special. But when her chef sustains a broken ankle, Olivia is forced to hire the chef’s brother, a man she wants nothing to do with -- Declan McCabe.
Olivia and Declan have a brief past together that hadn’t worked out. But amid the chaos that surrounds them, will the talk about practice-kissing related to the mistletoe, along with the magic, let them find a second chance with each other this time?
This author is amazing. You will love her story line and the characters she brings to life for our enjoyment. Grab your copy as soon as you can and let the love surround you!
I know I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: I know exactly what I’ll get with this series and author, and I wasn’t disappointed. The latest romance in this series is a lovely romance between Declan and Olivia. Declan doesn’t want to ever be stuck in a small town again, and Olivia is ready to put down roots in one. This is such a sweet romance with a little side romance to keep things interesting. I would have liked a little more information on Declan’s bad past with the small town, but that didn’t matter too much. A Hallmark movie in book form, this is sure to warm your heart. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
A new life after a bad divorce. Her dream of owning and running an Enchanted Hotel. She's even managed to fill the early season with the filming of a TV Special for a popular series. All is good until a mishap sidelines her chef. Finding a replacement seems daunting until her recovering chef begs her chef brother to fill in while she recovers. He's waiting for a job to start. That would be great except for...
Mishaps, testy stars, unexpected contests, adorable-sneaky pups, great characters, and so much more make this another great read in this series. My only problem is the teaser at the end for the next one. I hate waiting.
I have really enjoyed the other books in this series, but this one fell flat for me. I know romance novels can be predictable, so that doesn't bother me, but the 'misunderstanding' was over in a page, and there were a few things I questioned - the dream-walking, for instance? Why did they not speak about that in the light of day, or question it, at least?
I did like Priscilla's storyline, seeing her past and figuring out her future, and I liked Declan and Olivia's characters, I just hoped for a bit more.
The next story seems like it'll be a lot of fun, I look forward to that one.
It's fun returning to Christmas Grove. The small town seems so picturesque.
The narrator, Gabra Zackman does a wonderful job portraying the main character, Olivia. Olivia owns an enchanted inn where a movie set is using her place to stay there and film some locations. She has her hands busy with a snooty movie star. Honestly, the movie star made me laugh with her demands. We also see Declan and see how they both are able to work together after what happened that fateful night. I loved how the author used the title for a scene in the book. It was very cute! This series is perfect for those who enjoy reading romance books with a dab of paranormal.
This was a sweet story about Olivia and Declan seeing each other after they spent a week together six months ago. Declan won't be staying in Christmas Grove, because he doesn't like small towns. Olivia is shocked that Declan is in town and he's her chef at the inn while his sister recovers from a broken leg. These two try to navigate working together and their attraction for each other. Meanwhile, there is a movie being filmed and everyone is staying at the inn. Declan and Olivia have to deal with the two co-stars and when they both realize the co-stars are also having personal issues they try to help. A sweet book! Really enjoyed it and this series!
Events from our childhood can really mess us up. Duncan and Olivia have a short history. Both enjoyed the time that father were together, but Duncan never wanted to live in a small town again and Olivia loved Christmas Grove. Duncan’s sister works as chef at Olivia’s in, but when she breaks her leg, she calls on her brother to fill in for her. Olivia has rented out the inn as a movie set, so Duncan is feeding the crew. Will they survive the divas, or will they be drawn together? Duncan is a sweetheart. Olivia is kind and gracious. Will it work? This was a good holiday read and I am enjoying this series.
Read through kindle unlimited. Found this extremely slow, with no witchiness to be had. This is book 4 and there seems to be less witchy behaviour and actions with every book. We have a magical inn, an entertaining ghost, dream walking, but no real magic. I found this easy to put down, usually I did so when Olivia allowed Priscilla to talk down to her and treat her like a servant. Though this ended nicely, I have no immediate interest in reading more of this series right now. Except we get an interesting chapter 30 where Payton accepts half a million dollars to be some rock stars pretend wife. So as I've already bought it, I’ll read the next book.
Another beautiful Christmas Grove story!! I love this series and I would absolutely love to live in this town if it existed. Alas, it doesn't, but reading Declan and Olivia's story makes me feel like I am living there. I loved the chemistry and the banter between them and another thing I loved was that they didn't have any major fights! I enjoy romance novels and all but sometimes the small issues turned into fights that make them want to love each other forever can get very old. Olivia and Declan both knew what they brought to the table and they approached it with grace and maturity.

Mr. Mistletoe is my new favorite of the series. Declan’s fears are so true to life and watching him fight them and learn how to conquer them makes for some good reading…
But he isn’t the only one who has to learn to let go of fears and give love a chance… can the Magic of Christmas Grove save another?? Deanna Chase builds another love story within the story and fills in the missing pieces through wonderful dreamscapes.
A Witch For Mr. Mistletoe ( Witches of Christmas Grove book 4) by Deanna Chase was a fun read for the Holidays. Even though this is the 4th book in this series, it's basically a stand alone since there aren't a lot of prior character interactions. A few, but not to the extent where one would be lost, which works out well since there's usually a year between books. Again, it's a nice little Holiday book based at The Enchanted, an Inn based in the magical town of Christmas Grove! ENJOY!!!
This was so good - probably 4.5 stars. Olivia and Declan have chemistry that's off the charts. When they met 6 months ago they spent a few nights together and then Olivia snuck out on the last morning knowing Declan wasn't one for small town living. 6 months later she's in desperate need of a chef because hers broke her leg. So her chef tells her brother and in walks Declan to save the day. Sparks fly and things happen. The story is so much more than that though and I just loved all the characters and how their lives were changed by Christmas Grove.
I love a good romance book with a bit of mystery in the story. Olivia has a an inn called the Enchanted Inn complete with a ghost. Right now a movie crew is filming a movie at her inn with a temperamental actress and dogs. Olivia has a temporary chef who is a man from her past named Declan and the story begins. Priscilla has a costar named Leo West and there is a story between them which will come to a head and the right decisions will be made. We have a cookie bake off and so much fun going on. The ghost is a real pain in the butt but she serves her purpose. You could call the story of Scrooge is a good way to describe part of the mystery. I really liked that part. Lots of choices will be made and thankfully good ones. Payton is Declan’s sister and she has an interesting part to play with her brother and possible future. Please read this book because it is excellent and it held my interest so it was read in a day. I hate putting down an excellent book!
I always love Ms. Chase’s stories. They are Hallmark movies in a book. This had a little bit of a mystery to supplement the romance. Olivia and Declan made the pages heat with their chemistry. I enjoyed the dream walking element especially since it showed a different side to a rude starlet.
Definitely a sweet second chance romance. Can’t wait to see what happens with Declan’s sister since we got a bit of a tease at the end.
Deanna Chase once again writes a bestseller! A Witch for Mr. Mistletoe is a great addition to the Witches of Christmas Grove series. Christmas romance stories are great and Deanna does romance stories so well. I adored Declan and Olivia's story and can't wait for the next book in the series. I always love going back to Christmas Grove!! But I love going back to all of Deanna's worlds! She is, by far, one of my favorite writers.
