Atsushi Ōkubo ( 大久保篤), also romanized as Atsushi Ohkubo, is a Japanese manga author and fantasy artist known for his work on the manga series Soul Eater, which has been adapted into an anime. Okubo worked as an assistant under Rando Ayamine, on the manga series Get Backers. He also created artwork for various cards for the Lord of Vermillion game.
Atsushi Ōkubo was not a model student and was more attracted to drawing than to learning. At the age of 20, after finishing studies at a manga school where he met Rando Ayamine, the author of Get Backers, he became Rando Ayamine's assistant for two years. Finally, he won a competition at Square Enix's Gangan magazine with his first manga series B.Ichi and it was published for four volumes. After the end of his last manga, he created Soul Eater, still for Square Enix's Gangan magazine, which brought him worldwide success.
Fire Force will end with volume 34. I will talk about my thoughts and feelings about the whole series next time when the final volume is published. I liked this volume in general. We've learned that Despair is what fuels the fires of the Great Cataclysm and Shinra's Hope is the only thing that stands between the end of the world. Thus, the final battle against the Evangelist finally begins in this chapter. As the fight continues we learn more about the Evangelist, the Cataclysm, and many other things. I love the absurdity of Fire Force's world so I especially liked the ending of the book. It will be difficult to say goodbye to this series.
Shinra and Sho confront Haumea as she merges with the Evangelist. The Great Cataclysm is teetering on the brink and only Shinra can prevent it.
Then the absolute worst thing happens and I'm so mad but at the same time it makes so much sense because I too would've flown into a murderous rage. In summary, I hate you for killing my favorite character, but great job with the execution, very impactful.
The final battle races towards its conclusion. A lot of things happened in this volume that had me feeling all types of emotion: sadness, excitement and joy (the latter brought by an easter egg to the manga-ka's other very popular work). I'm looking forward to the conclusion of this story in the next volume!
Fun volume overall, it's full of action and some emotional moments. Something happens here that got me way to emotional, i hope they fix it soon hahaha. I just found out that volume 34 is the last one in the series, i wasn't expecting that, i'm filled with anxiety now.
The final battle is pretty good as most of it focuses on Shirna trying not to fall into despair and anger but staying as the hero. And how this volume ends is pretty exciting especially for those who are fans of Soul Eater.

Pure peak. The philosophical discussion continues, in battle format Beni drinking as the world goes down is beatiful and sincerely? Shinrabanshouman is amazing.
9.5/10 In adolla Sho and Shinra go face to face with Haumea and the evangelist. Haumea merged with the pillars and has all their abilities and became one with the evangelist. She can see into the future and not be touched because the world is about to be destroyed by despair. Adolla is fueled by despair so the world is on its way to the end. Sho tries explaining to Shinra to not be vengeful or angry because those feelings will only lead to more despair. At first Shinra held his ground even after being shot with fire through his torso. Then after one of his Adolla links heals him from earth he can feel the presence of everyone he has ever linked with. Then, as he feels all the links to him, Shinra feels obi’s life end. His doppelganger sneaks behind him and slits his throat. Shinra breaks into a rage and causes the whole earth to be covered by Adolla flames and the Earth becomes and second Sun. The only 3 living earthlings are Haumea, Shinra and sho. Shinra’s rampage ends when he gets bopped on the head and it ends up being Arthur. He survived in space some how just to knock some sense into Shinra and tell him that he is the symbol of hope and he is a hero not a devil. All of a sudden the pulse of hope causes Shinra’s mom to be summoned in her adolla form. And Shinra has the idea from looking at Haumea being one with the evangelist to merge with sho and his mother. The merge turns them into Shinra Bansho man. The battle for hope vs despair in order to safe all mankind is about to take place and the volume ends.
