Who is Junie Han? Well, one thing for certain she is not the person her family and friends think she is. No, Junie lives a double life. She hides her true self from the world. Junie is a very bright high school student that is destined for great colleges or so that is what Junie wants her family and friends to believe.
What no one knows is that Junie is not the student she claims to be as she uses people to get what she wants out of them and life. She gathers intel on the people she needs to do favors for her and uses it against them to get them to do what she wants them to do.
Junie is a hacker on the dark web and more. Junie spends as much of her time as she possibly can on the internet doing jobs for people so she can earn enough money to buy her way out of the town she lives in.
Then one day Junie stumbles onto a website on the dark web where monsters post pictures of the bodies/people they have killed. Junie is traced down on the internet by other hackers who threaten her or more like her friends' lives if she doesn’t do what they want. After this Junie’s life starts to tumble around her, and things are spiraling out of control as all her secrets start to come out.
The Monsters Club was very captivating grabbing my attention from the very first page. The twists kept rolling out page after page and believe me I rode each wave to the very end. Once I picked up The Monsters Club I was immediately pulled down into its world of mystery and suspense. The descriptions were so vividly portrayed it was like magic as it enter my head and the world around me disappeared as if it never existed.
I can’t wait to read more from this world to see where Junie’s life takes her and us next. That ending was shocking, to say the least. I can’t wait to see where it goes.
I think that anyone who likes a good mystery-suspense story is going to be thrilled to read The Monsters Club. Grab your copy of The Monsters Club today! I highly recommend that you do.

I absolutely loved this book. It was such a unique story and it was fascinating that it was based on a true crime story. I thought the plot became more and more exciting as it unravelled and with that, the pace became fast as well. There were so many twists in this book, I couldn’t put it down, it was such a page turner. I was not expecting the ending at all, but I loved it.
The main character was very interesting. Junie is a hacker on the dark web and stumbles across a serial killer page. A lot of events happen to Junie after she hacks into this page. Her life spirals out of control, all her plans she made are now failing. By the end of the book, she shows her true colours and shows how determined she is to get her own way. A very twisted but entertaining main character.
This author definitely has the talent of writing gripping books. I was hooked from the first page! The book was so easy to read and I felt the chapters flowed really well. As I said before, I couldn’t put this book down, I was captivated. Also, in this book I like the ‘screenshots’ of the texts and messages between characters. It was so much nicer to read than just reading those conversations in a paragraph.
I highly recommend this book!

Absolutely loved this book. It was a real throwback to the 90s dark stuff for young people like Goosebumps, but slightly more graphic and for a slightly older audience.
Junie Han is a sneaky liar that manipulates everyone in her wake to get what she wants. But at the same time you cheer for her as she is as an unhappy, misunderstood weirdo who is just trying to find happiness and her place in the world, away from the high society lifestyle her parents are trying to push her into. A really enthralling cat and mouse game rips through these pages as she accidentally stumbles upon a website where murderers post pictures of their victims and one of the killers manages to trace her online and forces her to pass tests or else see her family and friends killed.
Told from the point of view of a really fleshed our character and investigating some relatable themes of the perils facing modern teenagers, this addictive book is certainly not one to be missed for those into dark YA and gothic fiction!

(Thank you to the author for sending me this book to read!!) Wow. That was something. Okay, so I have never read a book about a main character who is a hacker before, so this was really different than anything I’ve read. And, I have to admit that the first one hundred pages were a little slow, but I really liked it!! I had mixed feelings about it at first, but now that I’ve finished it I definitely did like it. However, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the main character, but if you’ve read this book it would probably make sense as to why. Yeah, so much happened in this book, but I think every part of it was written very well and you should definitely check this book out!!
