This book has more heart than even the Grinch had after his grew! Honestly after the first 25% it was one long Happy Ugly Cry! The writing was so incredible I practically end up highlighting most of the chapters multiple times. I am not gonna unlock them because most of them are spoilers! This book should be a new Christmas classic for fans of male/male romance!
The Omega’s Krampus Christmas is the story of Alger, a Krampus, and Jordan, a single father. The book is told in first person through the eyes of Jordan and Krampus.

This wasn’t really my fave Krampus book, but it still had its moments. Alger was a sweetie and a good fit for the family. Thea was a little too much the wise 7 year old for my tastes.
It was kind of cute but it needed some editing, I think. Commas were being used weirdly and there were things that just suddenly appeared, scene changes out of the blue, thoughts and feelings that had no lead up or development. There was some building up of feelings over time for Alger/Krampus but less so from Jordan's perspective. It mostly felt like we were supposed to just accept that things were changing without actually seeing it change.
The spice kind of sucked. It was very brief and lackluster. I'm not big into caring about the spice - I never even mention it in reviews normally - but in this case it was as disappointing as the rest of the story.
The end of the story was rapid-fire plot points one after the other and felt like it was sort of going off the rails. Those either needed to be fleshed out to make a longer book or trimmed back to keep this a cute little story.
My other point of disappointment is kind of a spoiler so it's going behind tags. You know at the end of the Beauty and the Beast when the Beast gets turned back into human and he looks boring af and the Beast was way hotter and who Belle fell in love with anyway and it's a bummer? That's what happened here. (I see now it even mentions Beauty and the Beast in the blurb so clearly I missed that. whoops)
Out of nowhere at the end, Krampus suddenly looks human except he's not even aware he looks human. It made no sense for many reasons.
At first, I thought it must mean he was changing slowly over the past two weeks and he somehow hadn't noticed. But then in the next chapter, it's revealed that it was a sudden change made the night before. That doesn't make any sense either! How would he not notice suddenly not having big heavy horns? Or hooves??
Secondly, before he looks in the mirror and confirms he doesn't look like Krampus anymore, he asks: “Do you think I’m ordinary enough to go out in public? I mean, I don’t want to model swimsuits, but just to be around people without scaring them?” WHY WOULD HE ASK THAT IF HE THINKS HE STILL LOOKS LIKE KRAMPUS?? it makes no sense!
Last but not least Jordan says to Krampus, "Do you really think you look the same as when you got here? I mean, if you did, I’d still want you, but…" So why couldn't he still look like Krampus?? If it was to ensure he could live a normal life outside of Krampus duties, what if he wasn't changed to human until the morning so they could at least get it on Christmas Eve with him still appearing as Krampus? Or he only looked like Krampus at night? Give us something, please!
I think me and Lorelei Hart don't mesh well. This is my first solo book by them, but I've read one of their books written with Colbie Dunbar and this was really just more of the same.
The world building was non existent. The alpha/omega trope is NEVER explored or explained, just used as a convenient plot point to allow for mpreg.
Jordan was a stereotypical Hallmark-esque single dad, struggling to get by, then a magical "right man" comes along to solve all his problems and be a father to his precocious kid. Krampus - aka Alger - becomes a krampus in the most ridiculous, petty way, spending an eternity doing a job he hates that almost literally sucks the soul from him. Then, miracle of all miracles, an "accident" ends up putting him in the mythical right place at the right time.
Everything is so perfect, cookie cutter Hallmark movies that it was actually boring. The insta-love between Jordan and Alger appeared out of the ether with no logic, and I *never* felt any real chemistry between them. It says this is a fated mates story, but it's not that so much as being set up on a date that doesn't materialise for a millennia.
There were editing issues and plot gaps. This is a world where there are alphas and omegas, men and women, but when Krampus first meets Thea - despite making a point of saying he doesn't have any information about her - he asks where "her dad's" are. Why? Are women not able to have children? Are girls only born to men? Yet a little boy in her class is the son of a man. We'll never know the truth because there is NO world building. I ended up skimming from the halfway point because it was so predictable and practically over anyway. I called the big, final plot twist at page 16! It was just too perfect and all wrapped up in a pretty bow, and it never made any kind of emotional connection.
I appreciate the clever handling of this story. It really did surprise me that I could embrace both main characters so completely when I expected to dislike them. Instead, this has become a new favorite! (It helps that Beauty and the Beast is also a favorite of mine.)
School teacher Alger is such a good and loving person. He gave a beautiful cookie to a child to make him happy. He didn’t know the cookie belonged to an elf unable to forgive. Now he is cursed to frighten children instead of bring them joy. That is the cruelest of all punishments to a man who volunteered his time with children. So now he is cursed to be a Krampus and scare children. If he can find someone to spontaneously share unconditional love, he could overturn the curse. But that seems so unlikely when all he inspires now is fear.
Jordan is a single father, trying to pretend for Thea that he is filled with joy when he is not. He lost his mate through an accident and is still in pain over it. When she goes out alone in the snow to gather sticks, Krampus rescues her and takes her to her father. Thea wants him to come inside for cocoa. And during their interactions, Jordan sees the goodness in Krampus. Trapped inside with Krampus/Alger as the blizzard ravages the town, can the magic of Christmas touch their hearts? Will that magic bring the two of them together, along with Thea who adores her Krampus, for a special Christmas filled with love and joy? Because both Jordan and Thea begged Santa to let Krampus stay with them – because they love him… unconditionally. And a curse can’t survive under those conditions, can it?
This book is super cute couldn’t put it down Schoolteacher Alger loved his job working with children. But one day he gave a little boy a cookie and it worked out it was the biggest mistake of his life. He was taken and cursed to be Krampus where he’d have to scare children on the naughty list one day a year and then be alone. It was destroying him. Except this year when he went down to scare the children they had sent him to the wrong place because this little girl had a heart of gold. Jordan had lost his mate and was now a single parent to beautiful little girl called Thea. He had tried to make Christmas special for her over the years because his mate loved Christmas. He wakes to find that his daughter isn’t in the house and when he opens the door and sees a little footprints in the snow he panics going to find her. He finds her in a backpack held by a strange person. But Thea is super excited. She invites him back to warm up in the house and this is where this is where it becomes apparent that he is Krampus. Jordan is worried at first but once they get to speak he is reassured. Something strange is happening his little girl is super excited and he feels Something he hasn’t felt since being with his mate since. When Krampus is not picked up that night Jordan gets him to stay with them. But what will come of this?? This book is Uber cute and I tell you now Thea It’s just it’s amazing little girl who will catching your heart. Honestly this book just made my heart sing and I couldn’t put it down just brilliant absolutely brilliant.

Christmas romance with a twist✔️ Fairytale with a twist✔️
It's that "with a twist" that gives The Omega's Krampus Christmas an extra special level of holiday yummyness. I've always been intrigued by holiday stories that go outside the box by having Krampus involved and Lorelei M Hart really brought the intrigue to the table here. I should add that not only did I find this story to be my favorite of this holiday season's reading but it is also my first mpreg, first omegaverse, and my first Lorelei M Hart read. That's a lot of firsts to venture into especially with a holiday story.
Alger, aka Krampus, and single dad Jordan have an instant connection but after decades of a lonely existence, Alger has built a wall around his heart. Will he let Jordan and his daughter Thea in? As you can probably guess my answer: you'll have to read this one for yourself to discover if Alger opens up. I will say that I couldn't help but love every character in the story, each one played a part, nobody was extra, nobody was page filler they all added to the story and to Alger and Jordan's journey.
There is really not much more I can add without being tempted to divulge too much of the story. I will say that if you aren't fond of mpreg, I still highly recommend this Christmas tale because The Omega's Krampus Christmas is so much more than mpreg. This is a story about seeing beyond the surface, letting someone in, and opening one's heart which is something we all need to do more of and not just during the holiday season. Definitely a delightful, heartwarming holiday gem.
Alger gave a cookie to a little boy who was hungry. The person he retrieved the cookie from turned out to be an elf named Ernie, and cursed him to a life as Krampus. After more than a century playing a role his heart was never into, destiny begins to play it's part.
Fast forward to the present...
Jordan has been a widowed omega for a few years. After losing his alpha during the holiday season, He and his daughter, Thea, have been going through the motions but not really enjoying this special time. Nothing but painful memories. The first Christmas since his alpha passed away, he and Thea, decide to work through this year on their own.
Fate aligned perfectly - a family without power and not enough firewood. A little girl determined to help her omega dad by venturing out on her own to find some in the woods at night. Krampus in the right place at the right time. One good deed after another - keeping them together, forming a bond as a family.
This book was a breath of fresh air. There were so many real world relations of loss, love, character, happiness, beauty and friendship. More importantly, we saw how a family was able to love someone, regardless of appearance when they couldn't love themselves. Each piece of the puzzle, from beginning to end, tied together perfectly. Unfolding on the pages; how Alger, the little boy from years ago, Jordan and Thea's destinies were intertwined.

I loved this story! Such a sweet- and unique- Christmas romance. Great world building. My heart squeezed so tight for the little boy who was always alone and all he wanted for Christmas was a cookie. His teacher Alger remembered a perfect cookie he spotted that had been left behind in one of the classrooms right as the school was going to be locked up for two weeks for the holidays, and retrieved it for the child. Little did he know, that cookie belonged to an elf who was not happy. Alger was cursed to become Krampus and compelled to frighten naughty children into behaving for one day a year, and spend the rest living alone in the North Pole. He had physically become a monster and hated what he was forced to do. He could not die, and would be forever cursed until he found true love. Ironically, the only company he had in his long existence is the elf who cursed him.
I loved the Beauty and the Beast vibe to this story. I definitely think Alger's punishment was severely overkill for trying to do a good deed and what was essentially the [unintentional] theft of a cookie. But I loved getting to know him. And of course, this being a romance, would never have happened at all if Alger lived out his normal human life. I loved Jordan and thought they made a great match. Little Thea stole my heart. A wonderful feeling-good holiday romance. 5 stars.
Once I saw the cover, I knew I had to read this book. I mean, who could resist that gorgeous vision? I love that cover so much. School teacher Alger is a good man cursed by an evilly grumpy elf to become a monster, frightening naughty children instead of educating them. One day a year he goes out into the world, the other interminable weeks and months he spends in isolation at the North Pole, shunned by all as the part of Christmas no one wants to see or hear. Jordan is a widower, doing his best to raise his young daughter, Thea, his shining light but both miss his late husband, especially at Christmastime. This year brings Jordan and Thea an unexpected visitor, a Christmas nightmare who turns out to be everything they ever wanted this Christmas and all those to follow. Alger was a very sympathetic character who I just wanted to hug and Jordan also needed a hug or ten, but Thea was all over that for me. She was seven going on seventy, so wise for her age but not precocious, which I hate. She just saw Krampus for the good and kind being that he was. This was a sweet book about unconditional love and finding your family, even by a roundabout route and with a little help from an unexpected source. It made me feel warm and smiley and that's all I want from a Christmas story.
Be careful of good deeds! Alger Bobell liked his life and loved his job as a school teacher. He was a compassionate man who felt for his students, especially the less fortunate ones. Jordan, lost his husband through a work accident and was left to raise his dauthter, Thea alone. He struggled through his grief and trying to be a good parent to Thea. Alger, did what he considered a compassionate act for one of his students, Timmothy and found himself cursed to be Krampus, for all time. He spent 100 years ostracized at the North Pole for 364 days and working for one day to scare children. It went against his nature, but it was his curse. He met Thea on his latest trip, creating a new adventure for Alger/Krmpus, Thea and Jordan. Will Thea and Jordan scream and run away? What is Krampus' latest assignment? Any change Ernie, the Elf will end his curse? Interesting story. The author created delightful characters. The storyline was fun, but I wish the Timmothy connection was explained a bit better. It would be fun to hear more about the community. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So it was good, a solid 3.5 stars. I liked the character development and the back stories, although it could have used a bit more world building. Quite a few things were left for you to assume such as Theo being an Alpha. I thing what really kept me from rating this higher is that I just couldn't see the justification of him being turned into a Krampus, especially seeing as he gave the cookies to a lonely and sad little kid! I mean I know that it all worked out in the end but I personally would have hated Ernie for making me live through 100 years of hell just for stealing a cookie. But no, they not only forgive him but name their child after him? I personally just can't except that. Also the fact that he had to continue to be a Krampus confused me, I guess I assumed he would be relieved if he found his "mate". I was left wondering if he was still immortal or not, is he going to outlive Jordon because that would just be cruel if he did. So it was good and sweet and left you with the warm and fuzzies but it also leaves you with unanswered questions.
Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. This was christmas time, wonderful sweet and cute read. Was it more of pushiment then a Christmas magic mix-up? After all what would a lonely dad and a cute little tike with her funny but so sweet angels underwear want with a big scary krampus? Is Ernie up to more evil elf tricks? All over one bleeding cookie? Well no good deed is without its price, in Alger case he found that out the hard way. This more than treacherous then what the little ones did. Alger was cursed to be krampus, Days turned to years now a century has past with one person that will talk with him. Never knowing his destinations, a mistake was made right? The was no way this little girl was bad? When a snow storm hits Jordan thought he was prepared, only when Thea finds a new *friend* which nope nope just no! Watching the big legendary Krampus drink cocoa with his little girl some of the stories wasn't adding up? Jordan watches the care this krampus seems to hold when enacting with Thea, cookie and the newest members of his home Noel and Noelle.

Alger gave a cookie to a child and is cursed to be a Krampas a century later something strange happens School teacher Alger asked Tim his pupil who was not collected by his parents what he wished for Christmas and his reply was a cookie. Alger remembered seeing a cookie and went to find it then hands it to the boy. An elf appear and curses Alger to be Krampus for stealing his cookie and over the next century he spends one night a year scaring naughty children and the rest of the year is lonely as the elves pretend he does not exist except for Ernie the elf that cursed him. then he goes out on his rounds to frighten naughty children and meets a sweet little girl in the woods who takes him back to her home where he meets her father Jordan.

This was a cute sweet Christmas story. Alger has been Krampus for several centuries. He was changed by an elf because he took his cookie and gave it to a little boy. The little boy plays a part in the story and eventually it comes to light. Jordan lost his mate several years ago to an accident leaving Jordan to raise their daughter. Thea is so sweet! Jordan has decided he is ready to stand on his own again. When Krampus sets off to perform his duties, something happens and he ends up at their home and not where he is supposed to be. Thea barters with Santa to let Krampus stay, since his duties are only one night, and he agrees. We get to see all the ice that surrounded his heart melt. And Ernie the elf who was behind turning Alger, I think he was behind the mix up that night. This was a sweet no angst read and will be one I re-read every year.
I love the way the author has taken the legend of Krampus and turned it on its head. Alger is not the horror of the legend but a kindhearted man. Even though he is cursed to deal with those children on the naughty list, he hates that his appearance frightens them and would never dream of using any of the other tools at his disposal to make them behave. Meeting Thea and rescuing her from the snow brings him to Jordan. Thea may immediately see who Alger truly is it only takes Jordan a bit longer to recognize the beauty inside the Krampus before him. I loved how both Thea and Jordan do everything they can to keep their Krampus and eventually stand up to Santa himself to gain him. The ending tied everything up in a wonderful holiday moment that made me smile.
I loved The Omega's Krampus Christmas by Lorelie M Hart. I couldn't put this book down and read it in one sitting. I loved Krampus and how Jordan and Thea reacted to him when they met him. I loved how kind and giving they were to him. I also loved how inventive they were to get to keep Krampus with them longer than the one night and then later when they renegotiated with Santa so that he could stay with them when he didn't have to work as Krampus. I also loved Ernie the elf, who was the cause of Alger getting turned into a Krampus but was also the reason Krampus and Jordan were brought together. I loved that they named their baby after Ernie.

When school teacher Alger gives a cookie to a poor school boy for the boy's Christmas wish, he will pay a heavy price. It seems it was a Christmas elf's cookie and he curses Alger to be a Krampus, because he didn't ask permission to share the cookie with the child. Fast forward a hundred years and things have not been pleasant for Alger. The only being that will have anything to do him is Ernie, the elf who cursed him. Meanwhile Jordan and his daughter Thea are going to have their first Christmas alone at home since the death of Jordan's husband and Thea's father five years ago. There is away to release Alger's curse and Jordan and Thea hold the key. And what a lovely court they have finding it. Lovely story
I think this is the first book I've ever read with a Krampus as the hero (and victim). It's a sweet read with little angst, and has a bit of Beauty and the Beast combined with instant attraction. I didn't enjoy some of the side characters, especially Santa who seemed kind of weak to me, and not like the kind, all-knowing, all-caring Santa I read about growing up, and the elves didn't seem very nice either (maybe that was just Ernie?) But the cover drew me in and I did enjoy the romance between Alger and Jordan. There were some editing issues, but I read an ARC, so hopefully they were fixed before publication.

I wish I could have liked this more than I did. I really liked the premise but something about the writing style made it hard to fall into the book. Maybe it was the word choices but I felt like there wasn't much of a flow which was compounded by the pacing of the storyline being really bad. The main emotion I felt while reading this book was confusion because as things were thrown in with little to no explanation as well as lots of time skips. In terms of background info we basically got zero, even when it was needed. There was also a couple times where thing were said repetitively like the author forgot what she had already written previously, so a good proofreader may have been useful. It wasn't a bad holiday read but I can't call it great either.
I absolutely enjoyed this story which I was drawn to for the gorgeous Cover! Alger our Krampus cursed to scare bad children at Christmas unless he found true love. Sweet father Jordan who needs love again himself. this is a short and heartwarming Holiday read. I really do not want to give any spoilers away. Let's just say I adored all of the characters, the way Krampus and Jordan meet and all of the special and cute family interactions! I received an ARC of this book and recommend to anyone looking for a fantasy holiday romance that has a bit of beauty and the beast and Krampus spun in an original story!
loved the way this story turned the Krampus legend upside down. Instead of a horror that terrorized little children on Christmas this Krampus is a kindhearted man who was punished for his goodness. Alger/Krampus is a sweet, kind soul who upset the wrong elf and gets cursed to be the Krampus. He lives his life in solitude and loneliness. Jordan is a widower who is trying to raise his precocious daughter, Thea, on his own. It's been hard for him and his is lonely. Jordan manages to see through the beastly appearance of the Krampus to the gentle soul within in and he and Thea don't want him to go when the magic of Christmas is over.
Well, that was different. Different good, not different bad. It was one of those short reeds that you could just breeze through, which I appreciate. I don’t think this would’ve been a storyline that I could’ve been invested in for 400 or 500 pages. Both MC’s are pretty generic. They’re easy to like, but not super deep. The true stars of this book were Thea, Cookie, Noel, and Noelle. I was definitely way more invested in the animals than the people. And the daughter had the most interesting personality out of all of the characters. Overall, it was an interesting take on the Krampus legend.
I loved this m/m mpreg romance even monsters like Krampus ( Alger) need love and he finds it in single omega dad Jordan. Alger was a school teacher he gave a cookie to a sad little boy but an elf had his eyes on that cookie and he wasn’t impressed so he turned Alger into Krampus and for centuries Alger went to bad children scaring them which he hated and he could only turn back if he found true love. I loved this sweet, sexy and emotional story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
This was kind of quirky but interesting. I didn't fall in love with it but it was OK. Nice Christmas romance between a single omega/father and an unfortunate alpha who was cursed many years ago. I enjoyed the concept and Jordan's little girl Thea was an adorable mess. Things was a little rush to have a mpreg which I think the story would have been OK without. All in all it was OK...not one of my favorite with this author but decent enough that I finished it to see how it ended.

A great, sweet holiday mm mpreg story. I liked the folktale/ folklore twist. The most unlikely Kramphus, Alger a teacher, finds his joy in live again after a century. He is stranded near the home of widower Jordan and his fearless and sweet daughter Thea. See how they all find their new happy and joy as a family. The non standard theme chosen, made a fun and slightly different book to read in this festive season.

December 5th, Jordan and his daughter Thea should be fine in their mountain cabin during the snowstorm. Just a few things for Jordan to do when the power goes out, like start the small generator and bring in more wood to start a fire in the fireplace. Enjoy the scary moments when Thea and Jordan meet the tall, gentle Krampus in the snowy woods, the love that blooms between them and their ardent request of Santa to be together as a family forever!!!
