It’s all fun and games until someone throws a dirty jumper rollup and you lose out in the Cornhole tournament of life.
According to Baba Yoscarybutt, it’s time for me to witch up or step back down into the Cornholio minor leagues. While Cornhole is definitely not my beanbag, I can’t stand to lose.
I don’t want to be the next Baba Yaga. I’m doing just peachy as the Shifter Wanker who heals the clumsy idiots of Assjacket, West Virginia. I love my life. My werewolf mate is hotter than asphalt in August, my twins are adorable, my dad and brother rock, and I have real friends for the first time in my life.
However, when my evil nemesis, Medusa Jones, steps up to throw a floppy bag and steal the title of Future Baba Yaga from me, all bets are off.
I will challenge the nasty piece of work to win back the job I didn’t want in the first place.
With Sassy and Fuc*ing Derrick by my side, I will finally own my destiny. Of course, Fuc*ing Derrick is prone to meltdowns and Sassy is trying to learn Canadian, but one deals with the floppy bags they’ve been dealt and tosses them anyway.
It will be dangerous.
It will be cornfusing.
It will be fashionably disastrous.
It will be televised on the magical Charm Channel.
Whatever. A few four baggers, a couple of woodies, a Bigfoot and spell or two should do the trick.
The future of the magical Universe is on the line and I’m the only one who can save us.

I devoured this story in one sitting! I couldn't put it down. This is the funniest book I have ever read! I laughed so much! I am so behind in this series I am going to have to go back and read the ones between book 2 and book 10! Robyn Peterman has a way with stories that she pulls you in and keeps you laughing while reading. I couldn't put the book down I had to keep reading because of the characters! They are so funny and so much happens in this book. I will say it again I don't know where Robyn Peterman comes up with all these stories but I hope she never stops...she really knows how to make people laugh. Thank you Robyn Peterman for being you and sharing your characters with the world! Highly recommend!
Thank you to Robyn Peterman for allowing me to read a digital ARC of The Newly Witch Game for an honest review....I'm not eloquent with my reviews but what I do write comes from the heart!
I had a difficult time putting this book down. I just didn’t want to stop reading it it’s that good! It’s definitely going to make you laugh as all of Robyn’s books should and do. But it’s also going to hit you right in the feels in a few places. We learned a bit more about both Zelda and Sassy’s childhoods in this book. Namely their childhood bullies/nemesis. All I can say without any spoilers is that it’s a great adventure and definitely worth buying. It joins the rest of my extensive Robyn Peterman collection, I think I have every book she’s ever published. She’s one of the few authors that I automatically purchase every book she writes because I know I’ll love it.
Another great book in a great series. Robyn Peterman can always make you laugh. Great characters and great nicknames. I can't believe how many nicknames she can come up with in 1 book, they're hilarious. You haven't read this series, you are definitely missing out. AWESOME READ!
Awesome book! One of the things I like about Robyn Peterman’s writing is the way she hides her profanity! It is such a nice and funny way of doing it! If you do not pay attention to the names you will miss some very important information. It seems Assjacket is going camping except for Zelda and Sassy and the troll. But it is not going to be quiet for them as they are learning to play a game with bean bags but Zelda has a better way of doing it. Be careful what you wish for because you might change your mind. Zelda and Sassy are going to find this out and their past will come to visit them but their future looks great! Read about a game show for witches and see how is changes many people and their lives! Awesome book with such interesting characters and the newest will give new meaning to a pile of crap! Enjoy because I could not put the book down! I am a great fan of the Zelda and Mac series and this book is just great!
It's time for Zelda to take the next step in her wonderfully blessed and magical life. Her fear of failure has been keeping her from accepting the role of Baba Yaga but time is up. Competition has arrived and she’ll have to fight to keep the position. All heck breaks loose and lives are threaten. Will Zelda be able to prove her worthiness and secure her future of becoming the next Baba Yaga? Will the trials she faces help her realize the truth about herself?
I loved Zelda’s new adventure. She and her amazing family and friends had me laughing so hard my sides hurt. There were also a few scenes that were touching. I especially enjoyed the last few pages before the epilogue. That's easily one of my favorite things about this series. It’s a very fun series with lots of outrageous and humorous things that happen in it but the story itself has a wonderfull message with quite a few touching and meaningful parts too. 💕
Absolutely in awe of this tale! This storyline line had me running the full gamut of emotions sans sadness. Tears were shed due to extreme humor. Those trolls! Serious cringing! I flipped page after page waiting for the extreme cornhole game. The televised competition itself truly had me wondering what was going on. Love the sneak up on you vagueness of the win! Bottom line…so many elements in this tale were wonderfully new and I gleefully ingested every last bit! Another successful addition to the Magic and Mayhem Universe! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
Robyn Peterman does it yet again! A hysterical tale of witches, trolls, destiny, and cornhole! As much as I’d love to hang out with Sassy for a day, I think I’d try to maim her. I don’t know if she’ll ever reach fluency in Canadian, Australian, or British.
While the rest of the town goes camping, Zelda and Sassy remain behind for some quiet time. As if! F***ing Derrick shows up, and then Baba Yostuckintheeighties. Can Zelda actually get out of becoming the next Baba Yaga? Does she really want to get out of it? As the saying goes, you don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone.
So now, our fabulous trio is off to Salem to compete in the Newly Witch Game against witches who have made their lives hell. Lessons are learned, body parts are affixed to random inappropriate areas, and trolls are launched like cornhole bags. All good fun!
Zelda is a witch in Assjacket, WV, she is a shifter healer, meaning she can heal any magical creature. The leader of the witches, Baba Yaga, insists Zelda and her BFF, Sassy, find a non magical activity to fill their time. Zelda has to come to terms with her destiny, and become the new Baba Yaga she is meant to be. After reading the Prologue I knew I'd be hooked on this book and now I must start from the beginning and read it all. I should have known that I'd love this book, after all it's written by one of my favorite authors. I've told you all that i highly recommend Robyn Peterman's books and this is no exception. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
What happens when Zelda stops wanting to be the Baba Yaga in training? All the games are up, especially when their replacement (for Sassy had resigned on the Cookie Witch gig, too!) are those who made their childhoods miserable.
There was a lo-hot of laughter, a ton of love, and many games, cornhole games, that is! And let's face it, when there's Fucking Derrick on top of there being Zelda and Sassy, laughter (and gagging) is guaranteed!
Now let us all go play toss-a-troll until the next time the Goddess pays us a visit in Assjacket!
If you’re looking for a lighthearted, laugh out loud kind of book...here it is! This book/series always puts a smile on my face and has me laughing in no time. Love all the characters ( some more then others) and the town where they live(Assjacket) lives up to it’s name in so many ways..hahahaha. My only wish is that they were longer and came out faster but am thrilled with them as they are
This next installment in the magic and mayhem world is so good. I giggled all the way through this book. Sassy cracked me up and kept me so entertained that I read the entire book in one sitting. This book has it all: laughter, the evil nemesis, games and even big foot. Love reading stories in this world.
OMFG!!! I need to learn Canadian too. I am totally crying when Sassy shows off her foreign language knowledge. I am especially interested in learning Buddhist from her. It took me a half hour to read the first 5 pages because I laughed so hard, I couldn’t see through the tears and almost peed myself. Welcome your favorite characters back and some wild new friends in this crazy mindbending world that escaped from Robyn Peterman’s head. This has got to be the most hilarious Robyn Peterman book yet. Look forward to a sharp twist of fate, lots of relocated body parts, and zaps galore. Confused? You’ve gotta read this one!
Robyn Peterman is insane and I loved every word! Omg what a great installment to the Magic and Mayhem Universe, The Newly Witch Game! The dynamic and totally insane duo Zelda and Sassy are at it again and this time they are fighting for their jobs (and maybe their lives) Firmly convinced they did not want to be the next Baba Yaga and Cookie Witch, 2 other witches were chosen, and when they didn’t have those jobs to be...they realized they wanted them. Soooo they have a contest The Newly Witch Game to see who will be the successors to those offices. Who will win? Our heroines or their arch-nemesis? Read the Newly Witch Game and find out!
Absolutely loved the continued story of Zelda and Sassy. And our favorite troll (he who cannot be named on public sites) is back. They have a contest to win and along the way there are a few new characters we get to meet, though I won't spoil the story for you. Though I will say that I did particularly enjoy the prologue and epilogue from the Goddess.
I always laugh out loud when reading Robyn's books. This one is no exception. Enjoy!
The original Magic and Mayhem books are excellent reads. Not to mention everything Ms. Peterman writes is superb and fun to read. This book was cool as it went back sort of to where it all began and then things went wild. I loved reading this book and really needed the rolling on the floor laughing that it provided. You need to read this series to truly appreciate the Magic and Mayhem Universe but that is just my opinion.
Welcome back to Zelda and Sassy!! I learned way to much about trolls in this book....and it was hilarious! Who knew they could poop like that? The game was intense and chaotic, but the ladies handled it with grace, a few swear words, and extra appendages un-discreetly placed! This is a must read...well, the whole series is!
I totally live reading books by Robyn Peterman! They are laugh out loud funny. The Characters in the books are absolutely hilarious .It's fun, Reading all the trouble that they get into and try to get out of. I can't put down any of her books until the end. Then I just want more. If you love having a good laugh while reading, Is there books you'd never be disappointed.
Off the hook hilarious! Zelda and Sassy are the best of friends even though they are so different. Derrick the troll is one of my favorite characters in this next in series book. The Newly Witch Game is a fantastic and engaging read. Laughter is good for your health so I highly recommend this to everyone. The Audible is so fun too.
I normally love her books but I just couldn’t find anything I liked in this book. The crazy and stupid bff was supposed to be funny but it was just really annoying. In fact everything here was silly in a annoying kind of way. At least it was short.
I loved this book by Robyn Peterman. Zelda does not want her newly appointed magical job. When she tells Baba Yaga this she says okay but when she finds out who will replace her she decides she is the better witch for the job. This book was hilarious. I love how Zelda and Sassy would zap each other when they were annoyed with each other but would fight for each other. I love the names they came up with for Baba Yaga. Sassy's learning of all the languages of the world is hilarious.
Amazing, as usual! I love Zelda and the whole crew! The companionship and the antics definitely makes this whole series such a gem! This story as full of action and was so fun to read. I can't wait to read even more of Zelda's story!
The next magical book is here YAY!!! Truly amazing as always. Follow Zelda Sassy and F*****ing Derrick as they travel to Salem to complete in games. We meet a couple of new characters and the laughter continues all the way through the book. Oh to be a fly on the wall of Robyn Peterman’s brain would be an Adventure that never stops
When Zelda and Sassy decide they don’t want their upcoming jobs, Baba Yaga announces their arch enemies are to be be the next Cookie Witch and Baba Yaga. Zelda and Sassy want their future jobs back, but need to compete against their enemies and may the best witches win! Hilarious and fun read, treat yourself to a great time. I can’t say enough about how great this series is. I received an advance readers copy of this book and I am leaving a voluntary review.
Zelda and Sassy are back in the thick of things!!! They have decided not to accept the jobs the Goddess has in store for them.. But as always decisions have consequences and theirs are a doozy and completely unacceptable to them. With the help of their profane troll buddy they complete a series of challenges to regain the previously unwanted jobs. Laugh out loud with Sassy’s version of foreign languages, Zelda habit of zapping people, and cheer them on in the Witchy Games.
Another great book in this series!!! Zelda and Sassie decide they don't want their future jobs, Baba Yaga and Cookie Witch. When their future jobs are given to witches that hurt them when they were kids, they realize that they want the jobs! So they have to challenge them for job! Let the games begin!!!!
Welcome back to Assjacket. This town is such a crazy place to be. Zelda and Sassy are ready to give up there destiny. Avoiding camping they are playing cornhole and questioning their life choices lol. The story is a whimsical foul mouth action packed goodness. Despite the silliness, Robyn always manages to throw in a life lesson or a deeper topic with a whimsical touch. I just love the characters and the crazy she always brings to her books!
I love these stories! There is so much fun and humor that it really takes me somewhere else. Zelda is a fun character that I would love to see more of Zelda. and I really needed this uplifting story. No spoilers, give it a read! I received an ARC from the author and I am Leaving this TOTALLY HONEST Review because I choose to and think that this story is Great!
Holy moley on a stick but I'm dumbstruck on the amount of totally epic words put into this series. This book bounced fantastically between Zelda and Sassy on the only way Robyn and write and totally make sense...if you're a fan of Gilmore girls you can totally follow the banter between these two lol. This story is tale on be careful what you wish for X 10.
Zelda and Sassy are playing for the mother load of Prada. Zelda is definitely not going to lose, especially to her arch-nemesis! The prize is to great.
I laughed out loud, and smiled throughout the entire adventure. Robyn’s books are always a delightful retreat for me and look forward to each new book in all of her series.
