With Christmas around the corner, can Emily and a Cu’zod alien warrior turn fake dating into a happily ever after?
Blue-skinned, scaled aliens are settling on Earth, and Emily signed on to be a sponsor. Likir will work at her animal rescue, and she’ll help him transition into Earth society. But after her jerky ex cuts off her animal rescue funding right before Christmas, Emily’s scrambling to find donors. When Likir spontaneously offers to be her pretend date to secure tickets to the annual Christmas Costume Ball where she’ll find donors galore, she accepts. But a few stolen kisses make this feel way too real. Can Emily keep her hands off this appealing Cu’zod warrior?
Before Prince Likir moved to Earth, he ditched his royal status, determined to succeed on Earth under his own merits and not those of his illustrious family. He doesn’t expect to find his sponsor the most appealing female on the planet or to find himself pretending to be her boyfriend. The more he gets to know her, the harder he falls. Can he convince Emily to make their pretend romance real?
AVA ROSS fell for men with unusual features when she first watched Star Wars, where alien creatures have gone mainstream. She lives in New England with her husband (who is sadly not an alien, though he is still cute in his own way), her kids, and assorted pets, including a yorkie pup and three cats.
Another Cu'zod warrior is arriving on Earth for the holidays and...well, at least he didn't crash land like the last one. On the other hand, his host for the holidays happens to be his true mate and her ex is trying to make things as difficult as possible for her and her business is in danger, but he didn't crash in the middle of a snowstorm, so there's that.
On Emily's end, she's struggling after her JERK of an ex withdrew his funding for her animal rescue. She's worried about finding donors during the holidays and she's sort of a low-key mess. Mostly because she's overwhelmed. Likir and the animals she's rescued are the one bright spot in her holidays and she's determined to show the newly arrived alien what the holidays are all about.
A little holiday magic, a little alien lovin', a whole bunch of rescued critters looking for their forever homes, and one former prince who's finding love on a distant planet. GOOD STUFF.
Emily was running late to meet her Cu'zod warrior. On her way out she and Alfie fell. Well to make matters worse, her ex-boyfriend Bradley and his newest girlfriend were at her front door. He came by to tell her he was withdrawing her funding for her rescue shelter. Go figure. Likir was waiting at the spaceport for his Earth liaison. She was late, but he was sure that she would be there soon. He was the last Cu'zod to remain. When Emily arrived, they shook hands heat shot up his hand. What did this mean? Emily and Likir find out that they truly match. It's a great love story. Guaranteed HEA.

A Christmas story to bring back the joys of Christmas. I loved the two main characters. They had great chemistry and Emily was such a sweetie with a nasty ex. I would have loved to have seen something happen to him. I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this story. I like these two together. I like how supportive they are. I like their HEA. I like the journey - sort of. I got lost in a lot of the details. Emily is a bit of a mess and it quickly switches from endearing to annoying and thoughtless. Yet I still think it was worth the read.
On the good side this book didn't have any "have a conversation" frustration. Probably because it had other frustrating drama.
These two are definitely fated mates and are perfect for each other. Even when Likir doesn't understand Earth he still goes with the flow. Though Emily does have some issues with her past. Admittedly, this isn't helped when the jerk keeps showing up. She's such a mix of supposedly really good at must everything, but often late and forgetful and unorganized. And she is annoyingly insecure at times.
I know Emily runs an animal shelter, but I have never gotten behind the "animals belong everywhere" train. I like dogs, but I don't want them places that are serving food and I don't want to accidentally come across them when I am out doing my hated errands. Especially one who "nibbles" on people and is extremely skittish/non-trusting. WTF she should know better, but only thinks of how she feels. It's frustrating, but for admittedly personal reasons as someone who was attacked by a dog as a child. And had friends with the dogs that "it's just a nibble" attitude, which isn't so great when you are the one being nibbled on. So I was maybe unfairly annoyed (hence no stars taken off).

This story will melt your heart with all of the kindness and love. And it makes the nasty ex look even nastier with his selfishness.
Blue-skinned, scaled aliens are now permitted to live on Earth, so Emily signed on to be a sponsor. Likir is actually a Cu'zod Prince Warrior but came here without royal status so he could succeed on his own efforts. He is assigned to work at Emily’s animal rescue as she brings him into Earth society. Her selfish ex-boyfriend Bradley chooses the Christmas season to cut off her animal rescue funding, and Emily has to quickly find donors to make up the loss. Likir steps up to offer to be her fake date for the annual Christmas Costume Ball where she is likely to find donors. But as he gets to know her, he begins to have strong feelings for her. Is there any chance that Emily would be willing to make their fake romance real as well?
This is a well-written, adorable Christmas story that uses a kind and caring alien and lovable animals to pull the readers right into the middle of things. Grab your copy and experience this story that will make you smile.
I loved this book! If the handsome alien warrior didn't draw me in, the animal rescue surely did! So sweet! The heroine Emily is running an animal rescue to find homes for animals that were unwanted or abused or otherwise were hard to find homes for. Alfred the Yorkie-Chihuahua mix wrenched my heart with what he's been through and thoroughly won it throughout the book. Having rescue animals a part of the story really warmed my heart. Likir is an alien prince who gave up his line at the throne and came to Earth to live as a non-royal male on his own merits; he claimed he was a mere farmer- not wanting any special treatment or security following him around. I loved seeing his relationship with Emily. His view and understanding of Earth things was both funny and sweet. I absolutely loved him. I felt really happy reading this book. I hope this and the previous book, "Snowed In with the Alien," do really well so that maybe the author will consider writing more of these stories. Loved it! I definitely recommend picking this one up! 5 stars.
I have to say that Likir is the sweetest! He may well be a prince but somehow he has managed to avoid being selfish, spoilt and ignorant of others and their feelings. He wants to work and he is happy for it to be manual labour if that is what it comes to. He seems to have an instant affinity with animals however. I love how his translator doesn't quite get the words right though. He is will to fight for want he wants and what he feels is right and he does it in an honest and honourable way. Emily also has a heart of gold. She is determined to help those animals who have been hurt and have no way of getting better treatment for themselves. She is selfless when it comes to them in addition she is willing to house an 7 foot Cu'zod and help him get acquainted with earth and its customs when she doesn't have much herself either. As for her ex Bradley he is basically yellow snow, a stain on something beautiful and pristine. Can Emily and Likir find homes for the precious creatures and one for themselves as well?
This is such a sweet story and perfect for Christmas. It’s full of passion, romance, steamy scenes and a happily ever after ending.
Emily runs an animal rescue, she’s also sponsoring a Cu’zod warrior and will acclimate him to everything Earth. Just before she goes to pick him up her slimy ex arrives and announces he’s withdrawing the funds for the rescue. Emily is distraught but Bradley tells her if she can prove she has a boyfriend he will give her tickets to the Christmas ball where she could potentially find another investor. Likir knows Emily is his mate when they first meet so it’s no hardship for him to pretend to be her friendly boy (boyfriend) as he plans on hopefully making her his mate. When they are told that relationships between sponsor and warrior are forbidden they are both heartbroken. Likir won’t take it sitting down and he plans to do something about it. He’s keeping a secret and he just hopes Emily can forgive him when she finds out.

This story is a wonderful tale of hope and overcoming. Emily is doing what she feels is right - openning her home to animals that have been hurt to give them time to heal before finding their forever home. Once hearing of the sponsor program to help Cu'zods adjust to life on Earth, Emilu knew it was something she needed to do. It is almost Christmas and Emily is determined to help Likir see and feel the wonder of Christmas. Emily's ex Bradley is determined to ruin their time. Story is full of Christmas magic and wonder of how good can triumph over the worst bahhumbug. This will become a staple for my holiday season reading. Feels like an alien miracle on 34th street. Story is better read after book 1, but it does stand alone well. There are references to Trexon, the Cu'zod from book 1, but knowing his story is not necessary to enjoy this one.

Emily is running an animal rescue that finds forever homes for challenged pets. Her ex is withdrawing his financial support, so she has to find new funding and fast. But before that, she is sponsoring a Cu'zod warrior, Likir and needs to get to the spaceport to pick him up. When they meet, Likir knows this is his mate and must try to figure out how to go about winning her over. To get tickets to a holiday ball and find patrons to help support her rescue, Likir "pretends" to be her "friendly boy". This book is well paced, has great characters, his views of Earth habits is funny, there is steam and more. Well done and you can read both of these 2 books in the Cu'zod Warrior Books for FREE with your KU subscription.

On the surface it is a light, quick read with no unexpected twists. It had some unfinished story additions, like her neighbor “with glowing cheeks”. The agency, his next steps.
Felt like he should have discovered a talent while in her home that he would make a business of.
One glaring (to me) unrealistic part is his need to fly to embassy rather then use phone to contact them. Not staying in title line of throne is different from being disinherited and cut off. He still has powerful connections of his family, friends. Not to mention he would be eyes of regular Earth settlers for his family, not diplomatic rep.
Felt like author should have Stanley as a regular guy that made large donation after adopting an animal. The twist was unnecessary and not finished, distracting.
Hot!!! First, she had me at animal rescue! Then I met Alfred, a yorkie/ chihuahua mix who has had a very hard life. Then we meet Likir who is sweet and yummy. Emily is my kind of people. She is kind, loving and has a heart bigger than the world. She takes in the hard to place animals, loving them as they are and helping them to heal from abuse. She need Likir who is an awesome Cu'zod Prince/Warrior. This is True mates/insta-love done right. It is also a sweet, sexy full of heart Christmas story. I love Ava Ross. I love her stories that are so filled with joy. She is an incredible storyteller. I recommend this book with 5 stars and 10 hearts!
I was so excited to see Likir get his story after meeting him in book one. His integrity and chivalry was refreshing to find in a hero who was royal. Seeing him interact with all the animals, especially Alfred (who absolutely stole the show) made me think he was even more perfect for Emily. I liked how she had a smart head on her shoulders. She was relatable and determined to make things work. I loved both characters and their story was just wonderful with its ups and downs and Christmas magic sprinkled throughout.

Emily believes in the power of live, in healing and second chances - for others, but can an Alien help her apply all that and more to herself?
Likir wants to build his own life. He's accustomed to caring about the welfare of others, and being protective, but never did he imagine an Earth animal rescue was where everything he wanted and needed in life would come together.
This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read captures the magic of the holiday season as it focuses on the joy of finding a forever home, and knowing unconditional love.
This one was sweet - nice little jem to get you in the mood for Christmas. Emily was stressed and a mess, taking on a lot. Her ex funded her animal rescue and decided to withdrawal support just in time for Christmas. She also takes on sponsoring Likir a Cu’zod alien warrior and that somehow twists into fake dating. While I did not like this one as much as the first, it was a fun read that I managed to finish in one sitting. It has a little bit a heartache before we get our HEA but if you read the first book in this series, I would recommend this one as well.

Emily runs an animal rescue and sponsors Likir, a blue alien, to help him assimilate into the culture. The two end up helping each other and against her ex who keeps popping up. The fates are aligned as these two form a heated relationship and learn to trust again. The characters are fun and have great backstories. The storyline had great situations and banter, drama and surprises, steamy romance and more. Easily got hooked right away and could not put it down. Terrific series so far and can not wait for more great couples meeting up.

I really liked this Christmas holiday love story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with sweetness thrown in with the animal rescue. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Bradley was lame and definitely deserved some comeuppance. Emily works at an animal rescue and had decided to sponsor an alien. When Likir and Emily met he knew that she was his mate. Emily's ex Bradley notified her that he was going to pull his funding for her rescue which causes some drama and angst. There is sweetness and steam. I liked their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Who knew sponsoring an Alien was so easy yet difficult. The translator giving some words incorrect meaning. His mating tattoos show up on the way to the house. You are trying to get rid of your sleaze ball who is threatening to pull your funding. Hmmm A fake boyfriend that is an animal lover?? could it be the scales he has and the tail of the traumatized animals are sensing a safe person/ ahh alien in their wake. What? this is getting interesting. Love the misunderstandings and convincing techniques . very good read. no cliff.

This is another Christmas Holiday romance from Ava Ross. Falling for an Alien Elf has it all, Christmas! Animals! Hot Aliens! This is a heart-warming Christmas story Emily is a sweet sponsor and Likir is the alien prince coming to work at her animal shelter. There is Emily’s evil ex who is the grinch. With the magic of the Christmas season Emily and Likir find love with enough heat to melt the snow!! It was another fun read from Ava Ross that spreads the magic and joy of Christmas. This is second story in Holiday with a Cu’zod Warrior I truly enjoyed it.
Osborne magically brings the magic of christmas and the romantics of our wonderous and amazing aliens together in this holiday book. What better way to enjoy our loves of christmas and aliens. The book was wonderfully written and a joy to read, the MFC has hardships but she shows her strengths to prevail. And, the MMC is big with scales (and other things), and all about showing his love interest he cares. It's great seeing their relationship advance throughout the storyline. The romantic scenes were great, as well as, the spicy scenes. All in all, a great book to read.
loved it !!! love this series !!! love Likir and Emily... this is their story... a fast paced drama... Prince Likir has dropped the prince... he wants to be a commoner alien...no special treatment... Emily is his sponsor... she runs an animal shelter for the abused and hard to find rescues...she is losing her funding because she dumped her cheating ex boyfriend...the charity ball... and Alfred.... this is a heart breaking story of true love and finding your one...and it's forbidden...

Wonderful story for all! A female decided to sponsor an Alien. Then the fireworks began.
I absolutely loved this story of Christmas and the way she introduced it to the Alien Likir, she was a warrior in her own, rescuing abused, and neglected animals. Her love knew no bounds.for these animals. When her sponsored Alien showed up, She was in a really big surprise. She and Likir fell in love! I liked the way you added "STANLEY" to the story . I wondered about how he knew so much, until he touched his nose! Love your books!
Emily is unsuccessfully trying to run a animal shelter for animals with problems. She's good with animals, not so good with finances. Her jerk ex is pulling his funds in a short amount of time and she offered to host a alien to live with her. She's supposed to help him integrate into society. What she doesn't know is that the alien she is sponsoring is a prince. This is a good Christmas story, didn't really care for Emily's character. I think she's a judgemental person, even when she's getting help from a person.
This novel touched my heart in many ways. I highly recommend it. I just rescued a wonderful dog, who healed my heart after my heart broke into a million pieces, when my handsome Shar Pei of 14 years passed away in his sleep. I saw a picture of this half Shar Pei 3 year old dog and I fell in love - I drove over 10 hours to pick him up. This book not only touched my heart by the romantic theme but also the rescue part. A lovely book I thoroughly enjoyed. It spoke to me on so many levels. Thank you for writing it!
This will it the Ho Ho Ho in your holiday romance reading! Featuring one plucky human gal with an animal rescue operation to rescue, an entirely too barkable mini rescue mutt, and a refugee incognito alien prince who wants to live on earth with the rescue doo-gee and the plucky rescue runner. Trouble is, a he knows about dating he's learned from accessing the inter-nest on his new phoon... sweet, funny, sexy with a jingle all the way to HEA.
There is nothing like helping others at Christmas. This was quite the sweet story blending aliens, holidays and rescue animals to find the spirit of Christmas. As all things human can be quite hard interesting to interpret, I must admit to having a smile on for most of the story. Pure fun with a HEA makes for a great entertaining read.

She runs a rescue for animals that other shelters would put down, she rehabs them and finds them homes, He is a Cuzon prince who has stepped down from his royal place so he can come to earth, Fate has plans... This is a cute holiday themed novel with tons of romance, some action, a bit of holiday magic and steam!

I accidentally read this series out of order but you can still figure out what is going on because they are only connected by the mention of a previous character. I loved how these characters grow throughout this story. They grow as a couple but also as individuals as they discover solutions to a problem in their life

I really loved Emily's character. She takes in animals abused, and unloved animals. She is so kind, sweet, and loving. When her ex cuts off her financing right before Christmas Emily has to scramble to find a sponsor. That's when Likir, a Cu'zod Prince/Warrior comes to help with Emily's animal shelter. Christmas brings out the best for Emily and Likir as they find the love, heat and the reason for Christmas. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
