Kasey and her friends face off with the undead as they arrive in New York City for a showdown!
Kasey continues to be plagued with the fact that she has not had a vision in months, even working with her mentor has not helped. Now as she has recovered the Libro Sanguis by killing the son of Rhain, the King of the Feudal Court, and then witnessing the King and all of the men of his army offload at the docks, she knew that she needed time to study the book and learn more about her Druidic history to save NYC. Her mother had recently told her some of the facts, but she needed to know more about them. Taking the book home with her she finds the door to her apartment ajar. Then surprised when she found Hades inside and injured. He told her that he had been attacked by the vampires and he barely got away with his life. Apparently, they were not too happy when he turned down their contract to kill Kasey and anyone around her, such as her police friends and others at the Arcade Council. Knowing that they needed to move to a safer place, Kasey calls her friend Kendra to give her and Hades a lift to her safe house and the story begins.
Join Kasey, Kendra, Hades, and Bishop as they battle for their lives in a dance of death…
What did I like? Most of you know that I read a wide range of books and this genre ranks high in my favorites along with this character that Sam has given us in his Conjuring a Coroner series. He has recently expanded this series to include the Half-Blood books with its lead character Seth, well here we have both of them in a battle against the vampires, and wow what a battle. Kasey and Seth join together in this exciting and dangerous mission to save the population of New York City with extreme results.
What will you like? This one has all the bells and whistles, mystery, intrigue, vampires, warlocks, witches along with all of the council, the city officials, and police force working together to fight the King of the Feudal Court. As Kasey attempts to restore her visions she joins up with the Fae that takes her on a very unusual trip, along with meeting her long-dead relative. This book starts off with a bang and rarely lets you breathe. Kasey is being chased by vampires who want the “tome” she took so she could learn about her ancestors. In order to do that she had to pass through the Sidhe’s winter court. Her experience there was truly magnificent and magical. Mr. Stokes had great vision leading us through it. But that was just the beginning. There is so much excitement all throughout this whole book. Kasey has to save New York all over again. It wasn’t enough that she fought Akihiro to save New York in her previous story. No, this time she has to battle a slew of vampires ready to attack the people plus get rid of the Rhain, King of the Feudal Court. I won’t spoil anything for you but be warned it gets real bloody. I must also say this that there are some loose ends that need tied up but have no fear, Mr. Stokes tells us exactly where to find them. I will certainly be looking for them in the near future and in his newsletters and on his web page and in his upcoming books. Whew!

Yes, another fast paced thrilling ride with Kasey Chase and friends! This time she must find a way to stop Rhain the vampire lord from taking over NYC! She has one big problem right now, losing her prescience, which she has always depended on. On the other hand she is learning quite a lot about her heritage and magic. And boy oh boy, is she finding out a lot of stuff! There are so many super surprises in this book that took my breath away! One in particular is an unexpected visit by a certain man and his team. (not mentioning his name cuz I want you to be surprised too), but it was a biggy for me... As always, the author kept me captivated and I couldn't wait to turn each page. My adrenaline is still pumping! I love this series so much!

blood lust and power
This book continues the story of Kasey an unbeknown Druid/wizard as she battles vampires and other threats to her life and her city New York. During this book Kasey regain her precenance, and disturbing the power balance with the seasons as she does so. The pace picks up as the Vampires take hold of Madison Square Gardens with the head vampire rhain and his lust for power and control threatens the fabric of everything held dear. This was a good book and can’t wait for the next instalment.

Kasey and her friends are back and fighting to save New York....again. Some many things are happening and I found it hard to put the book down. Had to see what she would face this time and how she would survive. Between the secrets of her bloodline, vampires, fixing her sight, and her surprise in a book, I loved it all. Lots of action and fighting and trying to survive. Kasey at her finest.

I simply love the Kasey books. It is the most wonderful thrilling, exciting magical fantasy adventure you could ever want.
No spoilers from me as such but Kasey’s Druid powers get a turbo boost in this book.
I could gush all day about it but rest assured, it is one of the BEST fantasy adventure books I have EVER read. I never want to miss a single one and I know you won’t want to either.

This "conjuring" series is just wonderful! This latest installment packed in the action, and added characters from another of author STOKES novels which upped the enjoyment level, and put this book into page turner status..Had a good time with this novel, and if you have been following these stories you will too.

Kasey is off and running from vampires! A good night’s sleep and then crossing the Veil to fire up Faerie are just the appetizer for Kasey’s journey to find herself. Spice it up a bit of male attention, finding herself & meeting a burglar you have a great read. Can’t wait for next chapter of Kasey’s life.

Definitely a well told tale.
There is never a dull moment in this excellent story. This dance with death is no waltz - It is more like a tarantella the frenzied Italian dance with a dark history. In the end Kasey waltzes away a winner. I found it difficult to put down.

I knew Kacey would prevail! Now she has made a few more friends and another enemy. Will she ever go back to being a coroner? On to the next book. Keeps getting better and better.

If you been following the Kasey Chase series like I have this has been a long-awaited book for me. I love the protagonist; she is such a snarky bad a** character which is so fun when reading any Mr. Stokes Kasey Chase books. His books aren't just popcorn but an exciting, action-packed, entertaining ride through N.Y.C. with witches' werewolves' sorcerers and a variety of magical beings. 'A Dance with a Death; has an army of vampires including Rhain, the vampire King from Europe descending upon the beloved city with plans to take over. We knew they were coming from Mr. Stokes last book, and I was so anxious to see how he was going to have Kasey, Bishop and the ADI gang handle this one. So much has unfolded, from there being a mole in ADI to Sander, Cal, Hades on the scene and one or two surprise guests show up. Dance with the Death is everything and then so much more than I expected.
