Boston Police rookie Greeley Fitzgibbon has seen the worst life has to offer. Shunned by his family for coming out, he lived life fast and hard on the mean streets of Boston, until he came up against a serial killer, who nearly made him a statistic on his kill list. Like the fabled phoenix, Greeley rose from the ashes by getting clean and then adopted by BPD Captain Kevin Fitzgibbon. All he’s ever wanted was to follow in his father’s footsteps. Greeley’s about to get that chance, whether he’s ready for it or not.

Major Crimes Sergeant Rockland Mars is investigating a case of human trafficking horrific beyond any other he’s worked before. What he needs to solve the case is an undercover officer capable of playing the role of chameleon, morphing seamlessly into whatever form is necessary to bring the trafficking kingpin down hard. Rock has the perfect candidate in mind, but Greeley won’t touch him with a ten-foot pole. Not after an evening of drinking led to a night of passion Rock was unable to handle.

Greeley knows he’s the man for the job, but can he keep his feelings for Rock out of the equation? He’ll need to, or risk becoming a statistic on a kill list after all.

So happy that Greeley got his story. I've loved Greeley since we first met him. So we have Greeley who is now all grown up & is a patrolman. We also have Rockland (Rock) who was his instructor at the academy and Greeley had a crush on him. A hook-up in a club bathroom where Rock is the only one that gets off, kills that crush. At that point, I hated Rock! Fast forward to Rock looking to Greeley to help with an investigation of death of some gay homeless boys, things are not good. Rock feels guilty & Greeley hasn't forgotten nor forgiven him for what happened. Even though Greeley agrees to go undercover as a homeless teen, it broke my heart to see him struggle with getting back into the mindset that he left all those years ago. So we have the story on trying to find out who is behind turning these boys out & how is killing them. I had a feeling on who was ultimately behind it, but not the reasoning why.

I rec'd a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest review.

Rock isn't the kind of person I would've imagined for Greeley, but he does fit the story. He's in major crimes working against organized crime, needing help to bring down a human trafficking ring. And who more perfect to help him than someone who was saved from the streets? Greeley has come far, and I can say I've been looking forward to his happy ending for a while. This isn't exactly what I imagined, but it isn't a one off so Rock still has a shot at convincing me he's the right guy for the job. Don't get me wrong, the story itself is pretty good, but it wasn't either what I expected or something I was surprised by. It was a pretty standard cop story, like seeing the kind of adventure Ronan and Ten lived through while still on the BPD, but this time with Rock and Greeley.
I wish we'd had sweeter moments between him and Greeley, but hopefully we'll see where this relationship moves to in the future.

Greeley is Great!

Coming into this without knowing the full backstory of Greeley, I didn’t feel lost while reading this but I may not have connected as much as others to the characters. I thought Greeley and his relationships with his family was the best part of this book. I loved seeing them interact of how invested they all are in each other. I did have trouble liking Rock. The beginning was quite shocking to me but thankfully by the end, I felt warmer towards him. More a HFN ending but I’m glad we will see Greeley again.

Well...I wasn't expecting what is essentially a To Be Continued. I love Greeley. So very much. He is so freaking strong and amazing. But I really wanted this to be a more complete story. What there was was enjoyable, though I pegged the big-bad right away. Hopefully the sequel won't be too far into 2022.

3.5, but I may adjust that up after the next book.

4 stars only cos I'd call this a happy for now almost as it seems to leading into further books.

This is Greeley’s story and you could read it alone but some of the characters and backstory wouldn't make sense.

Greeley and Rock, are boss and employee with a past, hookup to work drama to ....

A novella that tells us how Greeley finds love - yes please!

Greeley and Rock certainly do have a bit of a rocky start to their relationship (pun intended). They’ve always had an unspoken attraction to each other but their first intimate encounter certainly left a sour taste for Greeley. Circumstances then have him working on a harrowing undercover operation with Rock. An operation that throws Greeley back into the life he knew before good came his way.
A very enjoyable and engaging quick read with minimal angst and low heat that left me so happy for Greeley, one of my favourite characters in this universe.

This is really an introduction to their romance which ends with a HFN but there is a promise that their “love story will continue in 2022”.

I am so happy to finally have Greeley's story. He's been one of my favourite additions to the Cold Case Psychic family and, with everything he's been through, is very deserving of his HEA.
Rock is an idiot who treated Greeley poorly the year before and now needs his help with a male prostitute/trafficking ring and Greeley's history makes him a perfect candidate for undercover work. Greeley handles everything so well, his interactions with Rock and the tough case. He's grown and developed into such a caring, confident and well loved young man after being adopted by Captain Kevin Fitzgibbon and welcomed by the rest of the CCP family.
The case itself is really interesting with several suspects, motives and a good twist at the end. The relationship is entertaining, moving at a slow burn pace as Rock has to take his time earning his way back into Greeley's good books. They make a good team when it comes to their work and I hope that we hear more from them so that we can find out how their relationship moves forward. I also loved getting to see Kevin in overprotective dad mode as well as interacting with Evie and Aurora, even more adorable as two and a half year olds.
A much needed and great addition to the series/spin offs. Definitely recommended.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

I was so excited when I heard about this spin off series book! We finally get to read about Greeley as more than a side character! He has been through so much and has come so far in life since Ronan O’Mara and Kevin Fitzgibbon found him and got him help. Here we get to see him as a rookie cop with the BPD, wanting to work his way up through the ranks. He gets his chance when the cop who treated him like dirt offers up a chance to stop a trafficking ring preying on homeless young men. Rock isn’t proud of the way he treated Greeley, and he hopes to make up for it somehow if he can just get the younger man to trust him again. It’s no secret what the other man went through and Rock uses that knowledge to get Greeley to help him. Now if only they can get past how they feel about each other and work together, they can bring down this ring and save some lives. They just have to be honest with each other and Rock has to trust that Greeley can handle himself and knows what he is doing. This was edge of the seat stuff here, just like the rest of this awesome series and its spin-offs. Loved every word and I inhaled this story in one sitting. I can’t wait to see these two men appear in future books!

Law of Attraction is the tenth book in Pandora Pine's Cold Case Psychic Spin Offs. It's a great addition to her world of action, danger, and romance. It's definitely best if you read the series in order.

Aww. Rock and Greeley. I'm so excited to finally get Greeley's story. They had a little hook up and now have to work together.

I enjoy the emotions surrounding the hook up. Rock might be an ass, but he has his reasons for what he did. And now, the two still can't keep their eyes off each other.

Their story involves homeless teens, child trafficking, and undercover work.

And poor Greeley. He's sent undercover back to the world he once belonged to. It's hard to read at times. My heart definitely hurt for him.

Both men are multi-layered and develop even more throughout the story. The writing is fabulous, as usual. It's fast paced so don't blink or you'll miss something. The action is wonderfully done, as always, and is exactly what I'm come to expect from Pandora.

Law of Attraction is a great addition to this world. Pandora Pine once again kept me reading late in the night. This one definitely doesn't disappoint.

Wow, Rock and Greeley do not get off to the best start. I will say that i ended up disliking Rock quite a bit for how he treats Greeley. And when they start working a case together a year later, he hasn’t really gotten any better. In his thoughts, sure, he wants to apologise and start over, but he never actually manages to do this until well past when it should have happened. That, for me, made it him an unsympathetic character. This was a shame because I adored Greeley. He’s smart and driven, and absolutely correct in how he thinks he deserves to be treated! Maybe if there had been more time spent with just Rock and Greeley where they both shared and opened up, I might have felt more of an emotional bond between them. As it stands, I thought the ending was a bit abrupt and lacked depth. I will need to wait for more of these two to hopefully find that emotional spark I think was missing for them. Still a good action-packed story with fast-paced humour and all the wonderful found family vibes this world brings.

Pandora Pine promised a book about Greeley, and this book does not disappoint. A rookie police officer, Greeley is requested to help BPD break up a sex trafficking ring. His youthful looks and his homeless past help to make him to act the part. His intelligence and empathetic nature gives the Major Crimes division a definite lead in the case.
His handler, and superior, is Sargent Rockland Mars whom Greeley had an illicit hookup with while at the Police Academy. Neither of them has forgotten the encounter. And upon meeting again it's clear that there's an attraction still there.
The book is fast moving, Greeley's homeless act allowing him to make contact with the trafficking ring quickly. The love story between the two is sweet and angsty with Greeley being cautious and Rock being protective.
This is a quick, absorbing read. Wish it was twice as long. There's another book promised. Can't wait for it. I received an ARC of this book and am quite happy to say two thumbs up.

The road that Greely has travelled has been filled with thorns and craters from a young age. When Kevin and Ronan saved not only his life but his soul, he has evolved into this beautiful young man. The trafficking ring that Rock and his team are after is right in Greeley line of expertise, but Rock is really dense when it comes to Greeley. The journey now begins into this is ring, with Greeley at the center.

The gang is all here lending support and love, but the center piece of this story, is Greeley and Rock's relationship. I found myself laughing because Greeley has really come into his own. Alot of twists in this book and for me a surprising event, that really should have clued me in, but Ms. Pine is good.
I would say, Hooray! for another winner.
I just loved this book. For those who have never read the Cold Case series and the novellas, please read to enjoy these characters. Always enjoy the ride.

Mixed Emotions

At last we get Greeley’s story. I have loved Greeley since he made his first appearance in Dead Reckoning (Cold Case Psychic Book 2) but I am not sure this is the story I wanted for him. His sergeant Rockford or Rock as he likes to be called is not who I imagined for sweet, but tough under the surface, Greeley.

I have to say the Prologue was a bit of a shock. After Greeley’s history I found it hard to believe that he would allow any guy to treat him that way much less give him a second chance a year later. The story picked up when Rock chose Greeley, now a rookie patrolman, to work an undercover op on trafficked young gay men because he knew of his past and it was difficult seeing Greeley having to get into the mindset of the young homeless street guy again but Greeley is tough and wasn’t scared to voice his opinions and ideas to his superiors.

There is to be a follow up book and I am keen to see where it takes Greeley and Rock.

FINALLY! GREELY’S BOOK!
Oh, no. He’s going under cover working for a man (Rockland) who had his way with Greely in bathroom stall at a gay bar a year ago, and then ghosted him... And Rock also happened to be his combat instructor at the Police Academy. Can you say “Awkward?” Double Oh, no! He’s gotta pretend to be a male hooker to help bust a male sex-worker trafficking ring. Everything pushes Greeley’s buttons in the case, but he’s determined to get the job done. Bonus: Turn’s out that Rock may not be such a shitheel after all.

This was a nice intro to the forthcoming romantic arc for Greely/Rockland. The case/plot was interesting and the dynamics between Greeley & Rock were intense. Greeley continues to amaze me with his honesty and fortitude. [Probably my favorite character in the series] Though Greeley having to revert to his older persona was worrisome, it never gets too dark. Looking forward to reading the next chapter in their relationship.

Rough start, but hang on

I’ve been waiting a long time for Greeley to get his HEA and this was a good start. To be honest, the first chapter set a year in the past left a bad taste in my mouth where Rock was concerned for Greeley. Setting that aside, I loved the rest of the book. Greeley had such strength, to not only overcome his past but be willing to step back into it to help others stuck like he used to be. He’s very much the cop and I was impressed with him. Rock was less likable, but he mostly redeemed himself enough that I could understand Greeley allowing a second chance. The whodunnit part of the case was a surprise to begin with, but made sense when I thought back on it. The cameos from past favorites was a treat as always. I’m really looking forward to Greeley’s next book in 2022!

Law of Attraction will be Exploding!

Finally! A story on Greely, a person with a troubled past, rises to become an officer of law to follow his adopted father's footstep.

Greely's sass never ceases to amaze me when he's around this hunk of a man, Rock. Hmph! Attraction definitely be exploding from start to end with attitude, protectiveness, sass, danger and lust turning into love in the end!

Will Greely and Rock take down a trafficking ring or will they let their libido get in the way? Hope no one get shot like Ronan, Jude and Kevin, along with Ten and few others characters this time.

So proud of Greely though. finally got to see him blossem from a wilting black rose into a boquet of rainbow colored roses!

Thank you, Pandora for another great book!

I've been waiting for this one

And Pandora Pine did not disappoint! I've been reading this series for a few years now, so I've been invested in Greeley's character since he was introduced as a homeless teenager. This love story starts out rocky, but ends sweetly with plenty of action and intrigue to keep the story moving. I like that this novella leaves us at the beginning of a mutual crush turned to romance with the promise of more to come in 2022. Greeley deserves to date and fall in love after all he's been through!
If you don't yet know Greeley's story, do yourself a favor and start at the beginning, and read the entire Cold Case series. They'll pull you in, hook, line and sinker.

I tried to give this book a chance

I really like Greeley. That's why I couldn't finish this book. The first scene with Rock was not hot. It felt like rape to me. Greeley may have found Rock attractive, but that wasn't what he wanted.

That he forgave Rock isn't a problem. Working with him? Not a problem. The idea that Rock is his love interest is a big problem to me. At page 46, Rock is a giant dick. Greeley deserves better, even if Rock redeems himself.

Rock could have a come-to-Jesus moment and deserve love from someone else, but Greeley wanting him is self destructive and disappointing.

To be fair, enemies-to-lovers isn't my thing. If it's yours, maybe you'll like this better than I did.

Since discovering this book was about Greeley I was waiting anxiously for its release, and I was not disappointed. I loved it! In special Greeley's sunny disposition and inner strength caught my heart with his pure conviction to become a great police. The story was in some parts difficult to read, but I admire how the author ensured that every difficult moment was paired with another simply perfect. This was a very intense yet interesting plot, with some angst that made me cry and stress a little but after many wonderful action packed scenes, everything settled just fine. I would love to read more of Greeley and Rockland adventures and I hope to see more of them in any of the amazing stories inside this huge paranormal world. A wonderful addition to one of the best series ever written!

Love Greeley

Feel like we have been waiting for ever for Greeley to grow up and for us to get his story and the wait is over. Greeley is now a rookie police officer in Boston just like his father and uncle - Ronan before him. While still in the academy he has a one time thing with his training officer Rockland "Rock" Mars which leaves Greeley just wanting to forget all about it. A year later they end up working together to catch a male trafficking ring. This means for Greeley working closely Rock and being thrown back into the world of prostitution he fought head to leave. There are lots of suspects, plot twists and Rock having to work extra hard to get back into Greeley's good book. Look forward to more of these two in the future.

It seems such a long time since we first met Greeley and yet, not! He’s come a long way, becoming the young man his Dad knew he would be. This first book of Greeley’s is hard on the man he is now, forcing him back to the past, but showing him the direction he needs to go in his future. Rock seems a like an entitled douchenozzle in the beginning and I like that he tries to correct past mistakes. The bad guy wasn’t really a surprise, there’s always one in every bunch. I’m loving that this is going to be a new spin off and can’t wait to see how Greeley and Rock develope, perhaps with a bit more input from the West Side Team

Greeley had a rough start in life and leaned to survive on the streets, albeit in unhealthy ways. Finally in this book, he's gotten his act together thanks to adoptive father Capt. Fitzgibbon. Greeley's life experience makes him perfect for an undercover assignment, but the officer trying to recruit him didn't leave a good taste in Greeley's mouth to say the least in a brief encounter. Rock, however, is determined and even both of these guys recognize their undeniable chemistry and the importance of this assignment. Watching the sparks ignite both between them and with the crime plot makes for a superb read.

I agree that is it wonderful to finally get Greeley's story. We have watched him grow up and overcome so much trauma and become such a beautiful and caring young man who decides to become a police officer just like his father. His first undercover job puts back in the world he had escaped when he was on the streets but he knew he was the best man for the job. I really disliked Rock at first but he did redeem himself. I did not figure out who the bad guy was but wasn't surprised since he was so rude and condescending to Greeley. Was thrilled when the 3 young boys were rescued and found new friends. Look forward to more about Greeley and Rock.

Yay! We finally got Greeley’s story! Greeley had a troubled past and was later adopted by Kevin Fitzgibbon. He has gone on and worked hard to become a police officer. He has one night with Rockland, which leaves a bad taste in his mouth! Rock has asked Greeley to help him with a case involving human trafficking. This was sooo freakin fantastic, a total page turner, couldn’t put it down! It was really well written, highly recommend. I am voluntarily leaving a review form an advanced copy that I received. Greeley is the beloved adopted son of Kevin Fitzgibbon in the amazing Cold Case Psychic series. We've watched him grow from a troubled teen to a competent and confident young man. I've looked forward to seeing Greeley find love.
Rockland Mars doesn't make a great first impression, and he and Greeley butt heads constantly. Still, there is something between the two neither has felt before. That bond grows stronger during a heartbreakingly difficult undercover op. I can now picture Rock as Greeley's man, but this book is only the start of that relationship. I can't wait for more!

I have been waiting on this book for so long. Greeley is such a big hearted person, that he deserves a great love interest. He is living his dream with his dream job. But is missing someone to share his life with. Which makes Rockland Mars a perfect match, too bad he messed up with Greeley. A year later Greeley gets a job offer to help out some trafficking ring. He is keen to help, even if it means facing his pasts. Even if it means working with the one man who broke his heart and turned it cold, Rockland Mars.

So many twists and turns in this book. The ending is just the beginning for these two love birds and the investigation that brought them together!

Great start to a new series

This was a great start to a new series.

I loved seeing all the characters from cold case psychic that are close to Greeley, but it was done in a nice way, where Greeley was front and centre of his own book.

I hated Rock at first but he slowly changes as the story goes. His interactions with Greeley were fun and sweet to watch after their first disastrous encounter.

The mystery itself was very interesting and heartbreaking. I can't wait to see what happens next

Absolutely LOVED Greeley!! This was such a wonderful story and it was so good too hear from Greeley and see how he was doing. I loved what a strong character he grew up to be. I’m not sure I would have given Rock a second chance but Greeley has a good heart and soul, he saw Rock was a good man. The case was a hard one, emotionally speaking and I hurt for both men. I can’t wait to see more from these two in the future.

Seeing the evolution of this character is amazing. His growth and depth of character is outstanding.
He is the perfect match for Rock!
This is a quick, satisfying read that will leave the reader wanting more! Fast paced and full of intrigue, steam and all of the feels I could not put this book down.
I loved seeing the beginning of Greeley and Rock's love story and can't wait for more!
