„Witching Whispers“ by Kim Richardson is the seventh book in the “Witches of Hollow Cove” UF series, which follows Tessa, a witch in her early thirties that left NY (after ten year trying to pursue a career in the city) broke and heartbroken, to come back home to Hollow Cove and live in Davenport House - the family state- with her three eccentric aunts and works in the family’s magical P.I agency ‘The Merlin Group’.
This story is hilarious… even by Davenport standards. The high sought after “Sisters of the Circle” coven is coming to visit and everybody wants an invitation to the party and an opportunity to become a member, well everybody except Tessa. But it is not up to her, Aunt Dolores wants in, and what Aunt Dolores wants… isn’t exactly what is going to happen. The ‘Sisters of the Circle’ party develops into a ‘Stepford Witches party’ (Tessa’s own words, not mine, but I totally agree 😊) and what is even worse, nobody…nobody! With exception of Tessa seems to realize that there is some very weird stuff going on. As Tessa is accepted (remember she didn’t want in min the first place, she never applied) as a new member, the ‘stuff’ goes from weird, to freaky, to creepy with shifters stuck in their animal form and town under the spell of the “Sisters of the Circle (of Doom)’ 😉 Beware before reading, this story is a frontal attack to your laugh muscle.
“Witches of Hollow Cove” is a fast-paced UF series, that mixes eccentric witches, a supernatural town population, the occasional mystery, and a snarky heroine into entertaining mix of murder mystery, supernatural UF and chick lit.
