Compassion, patience, chivalry—these words are unfamiliar to Ra’as Drayven.
Emilia is sent to care for Ra’as’s children after the previous nanny quit (or was fired—I’m not sure). Ra’as is a busy architect who has little time for his family, and the time he does have for them is spent either elsewhere or ignoring them.
Mimi and Dyrk, Ra’as children, stole the show. They were absolutely unrealistic as children—they never threw tantrums, fought each other, or talked back to Emilia—but they were so sensitive and lovable. Watching them bloom under Emilia’s care was a highlight of the book. She treated and communicated with them with respect and empathy previously unknown to them.
Ra’as is completely unlikable. He is rude, belittling, and selfish. The way he treats his children is upsetting. Even toward the 75% mark he still behaved this way. He didn’t really show any growth until the final chapters, but even then it was hard to believe.
Emilia and Ra’as hardly even talked to each other by the time they were in love. Even after their quick moments, he would flip a switch and do something upsetting (e.g. snapping at Dyrk for defending his passions to a rude guest). We needed 100 more pages for Ra’as to truly redeem himself.
While I didn’t like Ra’as, the familial feelings between Emilia and the children made the story enjoyable. Emilia loved them before she loved their father—even in spite of him. For that alone, I was charmed by this book.

What pulled me to this story was the blurb, but it didn’t turn out as good as I hoped.

The only thing unhinged about this book is the cover

So this started out as a joke read. Come on look at the cover and the title, they are hilarious.
But is was surprisingly good. I never knew how much I needed to have sex with a man with a fully controllable tail, but I do. I really, really do.
Alien Architect Needs A Nanny is like a smash up of Mary Poppins meets The Sound of Music meets The Jetsons. I want a gadabout and a bracelet where I can charge it with money and use it to power my gadabout.
There’s even really cool messages about nurturing kids and being great role models for them. Emilia Robbins is a wonderful character and she gets to experience Ra’as Drayven in his Kotenka form, purrrrrrrrr give me some of that tail.
Honestly loved it! Thank you Maxine Denton. Taking one for the team turned out alright.

The story was short, cute, and sweet. I wish there was more spice. It has a lot of euphemisms lol. It did have some angst but super tiny.

I really enjoyed the main chick an the kids and the setting and garden deal and cooking since i vibe that but idk the dude was a bit too much of a dbag and he also didnt do enough grovelling/ character development.
It was like super angry fight conflict scene then like 5 pages later i love yous even though he never apoligised and also sure as shit didnt make up for his earlier inexcusable shite behaviour it was like bah im angry and cruel and then oh i rescued you and youre hot everything's magically solved and forgiven like... what.
The epilogue too felt lacking but theres a bonus sign up for her newsletter one which was much needed but also i felt couldve used a pregnancy or some more closure of the past and promise of the future granted it was their wedding but idk i just didnt get much like squealy blushing cute overload or even witty banter hot funny stuff in the book or the bonus epilogue.
So yeah but first book in a series it did a lot really well was a super easy read and mostly well written for what it is. Sadlyits not alien mate maguc so much as instalove which i feel rarely lives up to its promise. I mean uf you cant do the romance good relationship stuff right then at least make it smutty af and hot af. Like when its neither its like well fuck id rathet just watch a hallmark movie then some p*rn if it was gonna be like that. Sugar spice and everything nice and all that.
Needed more balance in that dep anyway.
And frankly while it did add a bit to the story the whore from work took away much more and frankly if you have one hoe you dont need 2 to serve the same purpose. Like either pick the work bitch or pick the actual whore for hire the story didnt need both.
The club thing felt a bit forced and frankly i figured hed end up saving her or something. But alas nope.
And the whole servants but they do fuck all or do their jobs shittily if not only purpose then because for some reason hed rather eat slusge than actual food was just weird obv the cook thing was for the story but the gardener being not a gardener so that she could be the gardener like idk the dude even if he is a dbag seems like hed vet his staff more but eh hes also a temper driven moron so his lack of emotional intelligence doesnt suprise me at all.
His fondness for expensive alcohol on the regular seems at odds with his health nut vibes i mean itd make more sense for it to be a protein drink or green drink... shit even a fruit smoothie.
Anyway this next chick annie seems like an idiot and a shit female for leaving domeone in the club alone so idk if ill continue the series tbh i do love thd author though so ill hold out hopenor reaf her other stuff.

This was a very fun read. I found it very easy to get swept up into this engaging story. Emilia and Ra’as made a delightful couple that tugged at my heartstrings, bombarded me with feels and left me with a big smile on my face. I got some big "Sound of Music" vibes from this tale and for me that was like frosting on the already delicious cake. This is my independent, impartial review.

I love it! I am short of time. I love how Emelia contacts the kids & is able to work together with them. It is great that they are able to get together in different projects. It's a great story. I'm already reaching for the next one & am sure I will reread the series several times.

Despite the cover, this book was good and very descriptive in setting up the story. It was only lacking some more context and detail at the end for me. Love a good alien/human romance.

This book started out good and lighthearted, but as the story progresses, the hero becomes even more irritating to read. His attitude towards his children are so frustrating and fucking annoying to read. He's so selfish and a truly horrible father to his children. He's neglectful and just purely irresponsible. I also felt like he didn't have any introspection with regard to his attitude and actions towards them and we are supposed to just believe that he's now a good and responsible father, like fuck no. He also didn't do enough groveling for me to root him for Emilia. To be honest, I think Emilia deserved better. Also, his children deserved a better parent than him. I hated the last 30% of this book, as well as my entire reading experience with this book, because of him. Will not recommend.

Phenomenal Book! I have read this author for awhile now and I have to say, this is THE BEST book she has ever written! Her style of writing has evolved and this book was, for me, very, very enjoyable! I read it from start to finish in the same day...I had trouble putting it down!
Ra'as and Emilia's relationship got off to a very rocky start. First, she was very late arriving at his home, but only due to the fact that they wouldn't give her the transport she was supposed to get so she ended up driving a very unreliable mode of transportation, which made her late. He was very grumpy about it! After she met the children, she knew she was meant to be there for these children.
She made dinner for the children (seeing only boxes of goopy stuff in the refrigerator) and all he saw was his children eating cupcakes for dinner and he blew up at her! Once he realized she was disguising the treats with healthy ingredients, he did at least apologize for that (and of course he had to try them...they were right there, weren't they?). Things began to get a little better...
After the rocky start, his dragon kept telling him she was his mate, but how could a woman of the church be his mate? No one knew that she wasn't who she said she was! Their feelings for each other were getting stronger as more time passed and Emilia knew she was going to have to tell everyone the truth. Eventually the truth came out and all was well (very well if you were to ask Ra'as)!
The dynamics of this relationship were just lovely. Emilia is a very kind, hard working woman who just wanted to make people happy. Ra'as is a very busy man...maybe a little too busy? As time goes on in the story, he realizes there is more to life than work and he begins to spend more time with his children and less time checking his calls all the time. (This should be the case for every person...life is too short...don't waste precious time you could be having with important people in your life!) Needless to say, together Emilia and Ra'as are combustible!
I enjoyed this book because (a) I love anything written by Tasha Black and (b) it had all of the elements I look for in a good book. Romance, sexy times, a happy ending, good writing (VERY good writing in this case) and when I finished the book, I kept wishing it wasn't over. It was a nice surprise from the author getting to read a bonus chapter!
As long as Tasha Black continues writing books, I will keep reading them. This is a very good start to a new series, written in the way only Tasha Black can write. Another WINNER for the incomparable Tasha Black!!! I cannot WAIT for the next book in this series!

Sadly this did not live up to the cover. Just look at that beauty. It's terrible and therefore brilliant. I expected hilarity. Alas, there is none.
To be fair, it is a cute read. The heroine is incredibly maternal and how she interacts with the hero's children feels very wholesome. This works much better than in NoxxNoxx because the children are, thankfully, not dependent on someone clueless for their survival in a dangerous place.
I keep stumbling across Tasha Black in my hunt for trashy alien smut but I need to try and remember to avoid her work. Too much wholesomeness makes me queasy. Even more so when you make your heroines scathing about sex workers. Sure, it's shitty of the hero to prioritise getting laid over family time, but that's hardly the sex worker's fault. At least she tries to understand what he's going through. And the flirty coworker - so? It's hardly like the hero said he was taken, is it? Plus, when you introduce characters with issues, not exploring those issues is shoddy at best. We'd be better to look at why the hero distances himself from his kids, feels inadequate as a father, mourns his dead wife etc. At this point, I think the sex worker has a better idea of who the hero is than the heroine.
Yes, she's great with the kids. No, that isn't enough.

Emilia & Ra'as
In the dictionary, the word nanny should have a picture of Emilia next to it.
From advising Nannies what to do when they are having trouble to becoming a Nanny for the first time, she did a great job. The agency had a rash of new nannies and the prestigious client needed the best for his third nanny. Enter Emilia who was amazing at understanding the two children whose mother had died some time ago and their father is a workaholic spending little time with them.
Not only was she great with his kids, but she was also young, hot, and human, all reasons he needed to keep his distance. That wasn't easy as hard as he tried. Seeing his kids happy and engaged made him realize what he was missing. Still, he lived up to his reputation as a less than polite, friendly person. She worked hard to keep her attraction and anger at his actions from her treatment of the children.
I loved her relationship with the kids. the steam between the couple, her strength but wanted to clobber him through most of the book. He had his moments of enlightenment but he also had reasons for his attitude. I so wanted him to come around to support his children and Emilia.
Does he wake up to what he can have? Is there a happy future for them all? Enjoy reading to find out. A great start to a new series by the author who always gives us touching stories and this one is even more so.

A thoroughly enjoyable, addictive read and cannot wait for next in series
This was a simply wonderfully captivating read from very start to finish and I have to admit that I picked it up to read with lunch and did not put it down until I finished the while thing during the late afternoon, it was simply fabulous although not much housework got done that day!!
The interaction between the Nanny and the children is quite funny and she is most definitely kept on her toes and as a Human in a planet and living in a totally different environments there was also quite a steep learning curve which Emilia coped with wonderfully.
The interaction between the architect Mr Drayven and Emilia is very stilted to start with but as time passes it is obvious that there is more there but both are very careful to act professionally. Then as they begin to relax and the story begins to open more the humour and the characters become even more of an interesting read.
I am sure that others will enjoy this book as much as myself.
I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book.

I am just beginning to read this authors books, and I have to say I am impressed. The way she sets up the books always leaves room for more books, which is delightful because the books are so good. This series is called the alien nanny agency, and its basis is a community of men, rather aliens, who have lost their women in a war. They now need nannies for their children. Emilia, from the way it sounds she appears to be human but they are called a Terran. They are pretty frowned upon in the universe simply because they were one of the last planets to explore space, and their planet seems pretty desolate and dry. The author goes on and has such great explanations and descriptions of the different planets, the different species of aliens, and the problems of relationships. Emilia is sent to be a nanny to Ra’as, A very wealthy and well known and renowned architect. He is very strict with his children, and has not spent time with them since his wife died. Now Emilia is about to stir all that up. I love the alien children in this book, a teenager is still a teenager no matter what species he is. And his little sister is absolutely adorable. This book was a pleasure to read, and amazing to see a family be able to change, a change that is needed so badly, and to watch Emilia break down all the walls Ra’as had around him. An amazing happily ever after, not just for the couple but for the family.

This is my first book by Tasha Black AND my first alien romance. 🥰 I was impressed by the writing, pacing, readability, character development, and relatability of the characters. Quick read with heart. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

Redemption but with Plot Gaps
Redemption may have been achieved in the end, however the only time we get closure on the many issues that arose during the plot was during the Epilogue. It was an almost DNF several times for this alone. Issues that arise should be resolved on page when they are such huge ones for the plot to flow. They were just resolved in a couple sentenced at the end of the book. If you’re okay with waiting for a quick and non-descriptive resolution, this will be a great read for you. Also, introducing a character for the next book in the series should definitely be more thought out. Introducing that character made no sense to me until I finished the book and realized the author was introducing the next book. Honestly, the book could be fixed and be repeat read for me just by just adding a couple pages here and there to add context and resolution to each issue. Unfortunately, this is the second attempt at reading this Author and it just isn’t for me.

When a nanny helpline call operator, Emilia, is forced to go out in the field, she gets more than she bargained for not only with a surly preteen boy and a rambunctious little girl, but with her ~hot~ employer, Ra’as Draven. Ra’as is a successful architect for the rich and important and requires as much help as possible with his children since his wife passed, but the young and bright Terran (human) is not what he was expecting from the Alien Nanny Agency.
Thoughts:
- Fun world-building and lore for the most part
- Janky and unnatural dialogue especially for the children
- Occasional grammatical and spelling errors expected from a self-published book; towards the end the female protagonist’s name gets mixed up with the daughter’s
- Shallow character development to speed along the plot
- Random dramatic tension/tropes thrown in only to be solved two short chapters later
- Too flowery of language used in the smut scenes, but, other than that, the smut is where the story shines; he has a tail *wink*

almost amazing
This would have been a solid 4 star read. The angst was just right. The interaction with the kids were satisfying. Everything was lined up for a beautiful turning point where all of our heroe’s poor actions would come to a head and then he’d have his eyes opened to all that he’d been missing and spend the second half of the book proving himself to our heroine and his kids but instead of him facing any kind of accountability, she ends up in a life or death situation that he saves her from and all is forgotten. They barely have any kind of relationship up to this point but suddenly he saves her and we’re jumping way ahead in the character development. We didn’t even get to watch it build. All the angsty plot points ignored in favor of heroism. Then almost as an afterthought we’re given an epilogue chapter where we are rushed through all the plot holes being filled in. It feels like the author got bored of this book and slapped a rushed ending on it to move onto something else and I’m very disappointed.

Get ready for a new must read, “Alien Architect Needs a Nanny” & the 1st phenomenal book in the new, ‘Alien Nanny Agency’ & another page-turner that you do NOT want to miss out on!! ... What an amazing, fresh, new storyline in PNR romance with relatable characters & clever dialogue! ... Add in a smokin’ hot chemistry between the H/h, Ra’as and Emelia, despite a push-or-pull me start, they strive to give the adorable kids, baby Mimi & older brother Dyrk, a loving home! ... This grabbed me from the start with surprises and awesome attention-to-detail, right through to the end, where I am always pleased to find the HEA that I need in my favorites! ... Even tho I volunteered to read this before the kindle release day, it was without any outside influences & I can honestly recommend this to adult fans of fiction! Now I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment, but of course I will wait ;)

Emilia was working the help line st the Nanny agency. Calls were up since the last "batch" of nannies won big on the lottery and left en mass. However, when the president of the company calls your boss and wantd the best, you go where you're needed. Ra'as was a brilliant architect- who could "see" what was needed in a project to push it over the edge. Unfortunately, after losing his wife, he couldn't see what was needed in his own house. When the last Teo nannies didn't work out, Emilia was sent to Ra'as. His children were lovely- needing personal attention and love, but good kids. He was another story. From the start, Emilia was smitten. But attracted to an employee? Never! Or maybe not never.....a The story of a kick-butt heroine with her hands full and the swoonworthy hero and family patriarch who just might have to change his thinking for her. Another wonderful, sexy book in a new series by the fabulous Tasha Black!

Emelia Robbins works for a nanny agency and is asked to serve as a nanny for a high profile client. Ra’as Drayven is an architect of high esteem, he is also a widower with two children. Emelia's first day starts off on the wrong foot, she is late arriving due to circumstances outside her control which upsets Ra'as. To make matters worse Ra'as is attracted to Emelia and decided her job as the nanny to his children is more important than his feelings for her. Due to his internal conflicts he is very hard on Emelia and gets upset with her at every turn. He has a tendency to go off on her without all the facts and then discovers he was in the wrong. Emelia is aware of the attraction but each time Ra'as goes off on her, her feelings for him plummet. Will he be able to sort his feelings out before it's too late to save her? There is a lot going on behind the scenes in this book, it is a great read. This is an original story with great characters. I loved it!!!

Enjoyable read that could have been better....
Technically 4.5 stars, that could easily have been jumped to 5 if some of the issues were hashed out in writing. I felt that Ra 'as needed to be taken the task for his actions and see them resolved, it alluded that they were but it wasn't in writing. This one was missing something that most other Tasha Black books have and I have read a lot of them, just an unresolved feeling. I feel that Dyrk, Mimi, and Emilia were the stars of this book. I loved all the interactions involving them. I did like the different feeling of the shifter trope, the uniqueness of the Kotenka, I would have liked to see and understand more in regards to that. Overall I did enjoy this read, just wanted more from Ra'as that wasn't delivered. I will continue reading her books, I really enjoy her style of writing!!

Love this! Such a lovely, fun and emotional alien romance story. Emelia is a great character, so upbeat with positive energy and a come-what-may determination that her dreams will come true, such a patient, strong and compassionate person, bold without a selfish bone in her body despite her situation. Ra'as does appear to be brisk and a bit conceited, he has emotional baggage and is slow to warm up to Emelia's positive outlook yet so unprepared for his instant attraction to her. Opposites in many ways, they work well together as a necessity. I enjoyed reading how they maneuver around their unexpected mutual attraction as her love for his children pours off the pages and their love for one another grows, so sweetly. Couldn't put it down! So good I read it twice!! Very promising start to new series.

Falling in love with an adorable family.
I loved this sweet story. Emelia is a desk jockey, calming the nannies in the field when suddenly she’s pulled into the field. It’s an emergency case for a wealthy, powerful man and his two kids. From here it’s a comedy of errors as Emelia travels to her nanny job. Mr. Ra’as Drayven is an award-winning, innovative architect with a bad attitude right from the start. Throughout the story, he’s a butthead to Emelia and sometimes his kids. The kids are totally awesome. Dyrk is 13 years old, and Mimi is almost 5 years old. I loved them throughout the entire story. Oh, there are problems, but Emelia is a fantastic nanny, standing up to anyone, including Ra’as, for these kids. In the end, Ra’as realizes how he feels about Emelia, and there’s a happy ending for all. This is a sweet, special family who deserves their happy ever after. Linda

I went into this book wary after a rough first try with the alien romance genre, but this story turned out to be surprisingly sweet.
Emilia is genuinely lovely. She is great at her job as a nanny. She is caring and easy to root for. Ra’as is broody and stubborn with a good heart, even if he falls for her instantly and refuses to admit it. He also jumps to negative cinclusions too quickly, which was annoying. The chemistry betweet Ra'as ans Emilia was exciting and their first kiss was magical. I also really loved Ra'as's kids, Mimi and Dyrk. They were hilarious and absolutely adorable.
My only issue was that I wasn’t keen on the book being written as a dual POV and being in the third person since it got confusing during group moments. But overall, the stoey was charming and beautifully written, and the ending was a perfect and satisfying touch.

I've read a few books from this author now and I've accepted that this means that I'll have an enjoyable, light, entertaining read that demands nothing of me except to simply relax and enjoy the story. This book manages all of that very well. It's not an overly long book but it certainly had some great interaction between the characters, although Ra'as is almost overshadowed by his children in being a highlight. Discussion was included that was definite to point out to the reader that Ra'as as Kotenka, had the heart of a predator and was capable of shifting into his Kotenka, but there was very little in the way of explaining what this all means to the reader, which left me a bit dissatisfied.
