Awesome adventures inspired by the best-selling new Pokémon Sun & Moon video games set in the tropical Alola Region!
Sun dreams of money. Moon dreams of scientific discoveries. When their paths cross with Team Skull, both their plans go awry…
It’s the final battle! Sun, Moon, and their friends confront Necrozma once and for all. The fate of Ultra Megalopolis is at stake, but Necrozma has transformed into an even more powerful Pokémon!
Will Sun finally be able to buy back his great-grandfather’s island?
this functions as my review for the entire series:
the plotting of this fell off sooo badly when they got to the ultra sun/ultra moon part. which is a shame bc i loved the characters. the setting of alola is so good and it is soo good for character interactions. if this had a lot more breathing room and a lot more focus on slice of life, it could have been so good.
the other thing that i do really hate about this is that neither of our protags are indigenous alolan. i think it makes sense for moon to be from sinnoh, since she's highly implied to be related to platinum and all, but... why is sun from kanto. what was gained from this? the ability for pokespe to refuse to have a protagonist with skin darker then cream, i suppose. it's sad.
I love how everyone calls the Alolan Prof. Oak, Professor Samson. I know they're making a distinction there so you know it's not the Kanto Prof. Oak, but it's so silly sounding.
So, that bright light from before was Necrozma
Updated to add: I've been thinking on this lately, and I'm wondering why the author's being so cagey with Moon's sister's identity. Can it be Platinum? But, her pokemon is a piplup. The story line can't be concurrent with Diamond/Pearl/Platinum because Platinum's piplup wasn't sick then. Though Are they going to tell us who it is eventually?!?!
I literally can't believe this book. I really wanted this to end a different way! I knew that Moon was Platinum's sister. If Faba is going to go to Galar, then they better hurry up with the Sword and Shield series.# disappointment!
it was a pretty fun series for a good chunk of time but i just didnt find myself terribly interested in how some things were written.. basically the ending didnt land for me. it had good moments tho... shrug
