Christmas is coming as well as big decisions not only about casting for the very first musical at the open theatre, but also what Marina is going to do about her love life and what Jack will do about the changes that may be coming for him. I just loved visiting Kai, Marina and Ginger again, along with other locals and seeing what was happening with their lives and it seems to never be a dull moment with plenty of laughs, awkward moments, disappointment, bets on love lives (gotta love small communities lol) along with unexpected changes and a surprise celebration. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens next for everyone!!!

Marina is working hard with the restaurant. Her other sister Kai is working on a theater with a Christmas time play about to open. The characters are terrific, with a lot of choices right now and changing goals. The storyline has fun with the play and its characters while Marina is deciding between two men who want her attention. Love the dialogue and situations of the heart, sending your emotions in separate directions at times. Could not put this book down while I laughed and needed tissues. Can not wait for the last book in the series.

Book three in the Coral Cafe/Summer Beach series.

Jack Ventana who recently moved to town in order to be with his son, is struggling with all the chores and activities needed to help his son thrive.
Jack and Marina somehow never get together even though they care about each other.
An old friend of Marina's shows up to reconnect with her. Jack might lose his chance with her.
LOts of family, holiday festivities and wise words about what is important in life.

The Coral Holiday is Jan Moran’s third book in the Coral Cottage at Summer Beach Series. This exceptional story that takes place in a wonderful town with kind and caring people who would do anything for each other. It takes place during Christmas and I for one would love to be there! This is a story of hope and love during the season where miracles happen. The characters are very real and you will feel exactly what they are feeling. If you are looking for a heartwarming story with mystery and romance then I highly recommend you pick this one up. Jan Moran does not disappoint!

Thank you Jan Moran and Sunny Palms Press for an advanced copy of this beautifully written Christmas story in exchange for my honest review!

I really enjoyed this one! The third time is the charm is the saying, and it fits this. It hit differently from book 2 for me. Her sisters, Kai and Brooke, have come into their own in their 30s, while Marina, 45-46, is still finding her way to a romance with Jack, now a single dad.

The predicaments of running a cafe in a tourist based area continue to challenge Marina, and her family and friends pitch in to help. Even Ivy makes an appearance. I love when characters cross between series (Ivy is in the Summer Beach series & is in her 40s too).

Ginger, the mysterious & independent matriarch, still dispenses great advice while she is still not fully forthcoming to all that her awesome past holds. Brooke is now a helpful employee at the Coral Cafe which is run by her oldest sister, Marina. Brooke is married with kids and now has the upper hand with keeping her family from taking her for granted.

Kai is just coming into her own after heartbreak. She has shaken up the small town theater community with a "Southern California" version of A Christmas Carol which gets further shaken up by Jack's ingenuity. That play that started out with much tension ended up being the "crown jewel" of the story. So much fun!

Marina finally stops acting like the hurt ingenue waiting for the hero to make the right moves, and she adults enough to find out why Jack has been avoiding her. There is that funny scene in the restaurant, the scare that his baby mama presents, and learning to communicate past their fears and insecurities. This situation was handled deftly by the author, and I think that this book is my fave in the series, so far.

I am looking forward to more in this series! It just got better.

Note: I received an advance reading copy. I did end up purchasing the book because I enjoyed it so much, and it happened to be on sale. I have read and purchased many books by this author.

The holidays are approaching, and Summer Beach is ready for it’s first performance at the new arts theater that Axe and Kai have built. All the residents are ready to pitch in and support this new endeavor.

For Marina, things get complicated when an old friend comes to town leaving her with a difficult choice where Jack is concerned. When the townsfolk start taking bets for Team Jack and Team Cole, Marina feels caught between the two men as they vie for her attention. Things start to heat up when the play goes into rehearsal, and Marina must save the day. Which team does Marina choose?

Kai is so excited to be directing her first play. She and Axe have been planning and now they are ready to show Summer Beach what they have been up to. When they have to spend all their time together, what will happen to Summer Bays newest couple?

Jack has a decision to make, and it is not an easy one. He loves his son, but he also wants to have a relationship with Marina. When Leo’s mother makes a life changing announcement, how will Jack handle the choice he is about to make?

I loved this third book in The Coral Cottage at Summer Beach series by Jan Moran. It was so fun to go back and visit the residents of Summer Beach again. I love the depth of the characters and how life events lead them to have to make difficult decisions. It makes the story “real” and you can not help but become entwined in the characters lives. I also liked how characters from the Summer Beach series make cameo appearances in this book as well. Jan Moran brings small town living to a whole new level with both series. My sincere thanks to Jan Moran for a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I’m not a fan of this series. I read it because it is what the book club wanted to read. I’m not sure if it’s the reader as I listened on audio or the way it was written. Very soupy. Very Hallmark.

⚠️ATTENZIONE SPOILER ⚠️

"Natale a Coral Cottage" di Jan Moran
Pagg. 221

Ginger, Marina, and Kai, at the Coral Cottage/Café, are preparing for Christmas. Kai and Axe have a beach version of A Christmas Carol ready to cast, the inaugural performance for their new Seashell theater. The biggest news in town though, is that Mariana finds herself with two suitors. More excitement revolves around Jack, Vanessa, and Leo. Will everything work out for a wonderful holiday?

Leo and Jack are both cast in Kai and Axe’s production. They’re thrilled to be spending so much time together, especially since Vanessa is doing so much better. Jack, it turns out is a … Jack of all trades. Not only can he write an illustrate, but he’s a talented actor, singer, and improviser. When everything seems to be falling into place, a bit of news is accidentally dropped, sending everyone into a tizzy.

As always, Ginger remains commanding and encouraging. Kai is perky and wonderful, at her theatrical best. Axe is helpful. Jack is worried but hopeful. I especially loved the scene with Marina and Scout, Jack’s dog, in a fancy restaurant. It was laugh out loud funny.

This is another winner in the Coral Cottage series. Summer Beach must be the best place in the world to live. Everyone in town seems kind, caring, and willing to lend a hand. I look forward to the next installment in this series.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author. I thank her for her generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

I have been patiently waiting for the next book in this series, and it was worth the wait! I would love to live at Summer Beach so I could have the delightful residents there for friends. And while I love revisiting the residents from the previous books, it is also exciting meeting the newest guests. With some of the heavy reading I have been doing, it was time for Jan’s “feel good” sweet romance. It was the perfect weekend read.

I love how the characters from “Coral Cottage at Summer Beach” and “Sea Breeze Inn at Summer Beach” are intertwined. Ivy, Shelly, Mitch, and Mayor Bennett all make appearances in this book.

In this third book in the series, Jack has been slacking and now there is competition for Marina’s heart. Cole and his now ex-wife were best friends with Marina and her now-deceased husband. Who will win, Team Jack or Team Cole? (Hey, it’s a small town so everyone knows your business.) And Kai and Axe are launching their first theatre production at the new Summer Beach Performing Arts Center, and the entire community gets involved.

Jack and his tender scenes with his son Leo continue to provide the “aww” moments; and Scout, with his silly grin and wagging tail, can be counted on for the comic relief. The storyline is engaging and perfectly paced. This book will leave you with a smile on your face and anticipating your next visit to Summer Beach.

I received an ARC of this book before its release. The opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This is book three in The Summer Beach: Coral Cottage and it continues Marina's story and it is definitely a must read. Marina owns and runs The Coral Cafe and absolutely loves what she does even though it is sometimes stressful, busy and she gets tired especially as her sister Kai and Axe is doing and promoting a production of a classical Christmas story with a beach theme twist that will be played at the outdoor amphitheatre and Marina was making all the picnic boxes plus she is part of the performances so she trying to fit everything in and then on top of that Marina has feelings for Jack but she doesn't think that he feels the same way so she will just have to keep strong and carry on with her life. When Cole arrives in summer beach to see Marina as he was in the military and best friend's with Marina's husband who died Jack sees there connection and realised he could have lost his chance with Marina through his own stupidity and slowness as he thought that he more time to tell Marina how he feels but then another complication happens causing more distance between them. Will Marina and Jack ever get on the same page or will they miss out on something special between them. I absolutely love this book and series and I can't wait to read the next one as Jan Moran is an amazing author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading and you will not be disappointed.

Although an audiobook option wasn't mentioned here, I listened to this book.
The Coral Cottage series somehow hooks me although I'm not really sure how!
Marina appears to be a character that had a huge disappointment come her way when she was fired at her TV Anchorwoman job and ran away to Summer Beach and her grandmother. Very quickly, she has became a top-tier chef that owns her own restaurant and has two men pursuing her. This holiday edition is even more of the sunny side of life with a tiny bit of drama stirred in as sister Kai, a former actress turned director of a theater she has produced seemingly out of thin air, is staging a new spin on Scrooge. This happens just in time for both of Marina's gentlemen callers to collide as she (Marina) replaces an injured actress as Mrs. Scrooge even though she is also the caterer for the play. Every once in a while one of her twins shows up to take orders at the restaurant or move something. Grandma is a glamorous vixen that used to work for the CIA and now writes children's stories with Marina's main love interest. Intrigued yet? No? Well just listen for an hour and you, too, may find yourself in la-la Summer Beach land and picking up the story through three books so far! Jan Moran is some kind of magician! Oh wait, will that be Marina's new profession, in Switzerland? If so, I'm there for it.

Another lovely visit with the great folks at Coral Beach! Marina has the cafe up and running well. Kai is kicking off her directorial debut with a new Christmas play in the brand new Seashell. The whole town comes together to put on the play and make it a success. Marina is torn between loyalty to her sister and protecting herself from spending more time with Jack. Marina thought that Jack was interested in her romantically but he's still not asked her out for a proper date. He's also taking part in the play. Enter an old friend who seems to be taking an interest in Marina and who decides to stick around for the play too. Will Marina get a happily ever after? Will it be with Jack? Will the play be great? It's a heartwarming story and the characters are wonderful!

I love coming back to the stories and characters created by Jan Moran, it feels like getting together with friends in beautiful places.
I have been waiting patiently for the next installment in the Summer Beach series and I wasn't disappointed at all when finishing reading this book, number 3 in the series.

How true and wise is the phrase "sometimes there are alternatives we haven’t thought about" said by Marina's grandmother, when I thought the love story between Marina and Jack was not going to happen the stars aligned to give us a happy ending.

I really like the warm feeling you get when reading the author's books an especially the one you get when finishing them.

Thank you to Jan Moran for my early copy of her book, my opinions are all my own and are given voluntarily.

Christmas at Summer Beach
This episode is mostly about The Coral Cafe but also has other Summer Beach characters as that is such a small town, This episode brings the love lives of many to a center amidst the performance of a beach-themed Scrooge. This is a pivotal episode that the reader will enjoy best if they have read the other two Coral Cottage books first. Having kept current with the Summer Beach (Seabreeze Inn) series. I have enjoyed all of the books that I have read by this author. Her style of writing lets the stories just flow. Her characters are all alive with real emotion, reaction, and intelligence. Celebrating the wonder and love of the season

Coral Holiday is the third book in the Summer Beach: Coral Cottage series and continues the story of Marina Moore and Jack Ventana. This series must be read in order to fully understand the characters and story-line. This story finds more changes for Marina, Jack and her sister Kai as the holidays are upon them and the little seaside town of Summer Beach is brought together to celebrate. There may not be snow but that does not mean there is not the joy of the season within reach.
I am continuing to enjoy this series a lot. The story-line is original and engaging and the characters continue to grow, change and just get more interesting.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Lots of fun activities happening at the Coral Cafe and in Summer Beach during the Christmas season. Although Marina has left her broadcasting career behind, her sister persuades her to take a part in the holiday play that Kai and Axe are producing. Of course, many of the locals audition, including Jack and his son, Leo.

Marina still doesn’t know where she stands with Jack, but all that changes when an old friend shows up in Summer Beach. With all the tension between the characters in the play, will Kai and Axe be successful in producing their holiday show?

The interactions of the residents of Summer Beach always provide new friendships, lots of laughter and of course, some drama. Enjoy!

Audiobook - Although this is June, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this Christmas holiday story. In particular, I liked the beach version of “A Christmas Carol”! Being the third book in the series, I am so vested with these likable characters that I cried multiple times at the end of this story and I haven’t had book make me cry in a long time. I’m looking forward to the fourth book, “Coral Weddings”. I also plan to try the recipes in the back of the story. This author does such a wonderful job of describing food! My only complaint is that the author unnecessarily repeats the name “Carol Rustin” in the book as a character that is important, but I wish she wouldn’t have repeated the name so frequently.

"Sometimes, there are alternatives we haven’t thought about."

From the time they met, Jack and Marina have had a connection. It's about to be tossed around by life, and old a new friends as everyone gets ready for the opening of Kai's new theater as writer/director. Will everything go as planned? In Summer Beach that answer might not be so cut and dried as you may think.

As someone who has immersed themselves in Jan Moran books,I'm hooked and I hope you will join me in the author's brand of "reality romance". Highly recommended 5/5

If you like Hallmark-style romances, then this novel (and series) is for you!

Spoilers from the first book below.

Marina and Jack have had a rocky relationship so far. Jack being a new father, moving to Summer Beach, and adopting Scout doesn’t leave much free time for a relationship. But when Marina’s old, and single, friend, Cole, comes to Summer Beach, will Jack make the time? Or will Cole get the girl? Then we have the holiday show Kai is directing and it’s her debut as a director. Along with Axe, she plans a show that incorporates many members of the town and creates a bond between everyone. How many bonds will form through this novel? How many Christmas miracles?

A heartwarming holiday beach special.

Summer Beach is a place I wish I could visit as it sounds like an amazing place to live. At least according to this series. The story is written so well, the location described so well, you feel like you're living life in the story with the characters. Such a wonderful series where each book sweeps you up in its grip and keeps you turning the pages wishing each book didn't have to end. You can't help but love the characters as you get to know them with every turn of the pages.

I love the interactivity with the characters. There is always a bit of drama, or maybe more than a bit, but it is always relatable to real life. All of Marina's dishes sound yummy and I want to have a recipe included to try myself! The three sisters are fun and supportive of each other, which is very nice.

In the romance department, everything isn't always smooth. This, too, is similar to real life! I think that Marina is a bit short-sighted, though. She needs to lighten up and enjoy life a bit more for where she is as an empty nest woman, beginning a new and, for her, enjoyable career.

Kai is in the midst of putting on a new beach version of “A Christmas Carol,” and it’s becoming a family affair. Marina is working hard in cafe, and putting up box lunches for the theatre goers. It should be a happy if busy time for all, but Jack seems to be distracted by his new role as a dad, and his relationship with Marina is likely to suffer because of it. He must learn to make time for all the important people in his life, if he wants to keep them, but it is a lesson he seems to be ignoring. And Marina is not one to suffer fools gladly. It’s a well written romance, one with some bite to it and just the right amount of sweetness.

The review of this delightful holiday book is my own opinion. More than the Holiday season is in the air in Coral Springs. Marina has a an old “friend” arrive unexpectedly just as she is coming to terms with her and Jack’s relationship.
Everyone is excited about Kai and Axe and their new theater and play and Ginger is being more cryptic. Author, Jan Moran has taken us back to the fun town of Summer Beach where we now have one more book in this series to have the magic begin. Third book in the Coral Cottage series - very quick read. The characters are well developed. I am a fan of the fact that Jan Moran has strong female characters in that they are entrepreneurial, work hard, and don't rely on men (this is after they've experienced heart ache). But she doesn't completely dismiss the idea of romance.

This book brings a new man to the town that has a shared past Marina. And with Jack being quite busy with his activities, there is a bit of fun tension as to who may win her heart.

The third book in the Summer Beach: Coral Cottage series a well written Christmas story that held my interest throughout. Marina Moore and single Dad and writer Jack Ventana's story of a play, old friends coming back into her life, a town that comes together for each other, and finding love. The story was well worth reading. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
