They took away my hopes, my dreams, my future. They took away daylight. When they were done with all of that, they took all I had left. The blood running through my veins.
And there was no way out.
Or so I thought.
Until a dirty-talking demon on a motorcycle grabbed me and ran.
Starting a war between ancient immortals.
Who would win?
Who would lose?
And would Drex and I be able to hold onto the connection growing between us?
Jessica Gadziala is a USA Today bestselling author who lives in rural New Jersey with her parrots, dogs, and an ever-growing collection of houseplants. A lifelong dreamer, she’s been writing stories since childhood and published her first book in 2015. When not at her desk, she’s usually feeding backyard birds, rewatching crime dramas, period pieces, and 90s supernatural TV shows, or adding to her towering stacks of unread books.
Holy hell JG-This last sneak peek, was Absolutely amazing. Jg has been warming up to it for some time now, but Lord. I’ll leave you with that. in each installment JG opens another door in this world just little wider …….. Demon, witches, Vampires, Warlock, thrall… oh and we can’t forget Humans
Drex and Nova
Nova made her mistake when she was just eighteen years old. Young and stupid was a phrase designed just for her….or so she thought , Nova was Enthralled. Or, in the more common vernacular, thralls……. Let me put in a crude way, she was basely one of her masters Blood donors/ blood banks …. Or how every you wanted to call it
The vampires showed her the world. Then made her acutely aware that she could never have it. She would only live in their shadows until they drained her dry…. Now at twenty-five and no longer her masters Favorite, she was passed around to the many other vampires…… let just say Nova now she realizes the repercussions of her rash Decision.
Drex, what can I tell you about him, besides the fact he is a Demon., and that he stole a thrall from her vampire masters. And he probably started a war…….. as you also might imagine he isn’t Warm and fuzzy kind of guy, cuz he was not. But he was keeping Nova alive, and he was trying his best to keep the pain at bay for her…..
Hello maybe it just me, but I mean, if you were going to have a savior, I would highly recommend a demon biker with a death wish. Because, damn the man was sexy as sin ….. I’m just say
WOW! This book, this whole series is unbelievable captivating and extremely addictive. I wanted to enjoy it slowly and relaxed, I wanted to enjoy my favorite author's book for as long as possible, but noooo, you can't do that with her books. Or I can't do that, without devouring it in one sitting, damn the consequences and responsibilities 😂
This book is a completely different kind of paranormal romance. Yes, we have different types of demons, devils, a big varieties of witches and of course vampires in this book, but the story focuses more on the love story rather than the demonic world, though trust me you'll also get your fill in the creepy department.
I love how Jessica tells the story with the greatest of ease. Despite the fact that the story is not at all easy or light. I love how she makes the antiheros to the absolutely perfect heroes despite all the character flaws and their different kind of demonic dark descents. The story is not only gripping and dramatic, but also funny and entertaining.
I really enjoyed the dry sarcastic devilish sense of humor of Drex. He was the kinky devil player in the other books. So ok, he's still damn kinky, but his lifestyle change drastically after meeting Nova.
Nova is the kind of heroine that you've to fall in love with. She had been though so much in her life and yet she doesn't give up. She has an incredible survival instincts and just tries to do the best of a bad situation, even if it means to trust a completely stranger aka Drex.
Have I already told you how hot this book is? Gosh! It's absolutely scorching devilish hot 🔥 and in a demonish way romantic 😈🤭 The members of the Seven Sins MC definitely live up to their name 😉
Its always interesting to follow an author's updates as she is writing a book. When she mentioned a dirty playlist she was listening to and that she should stop and get back to writing the dirty sex scene instead (exact words were edited) I was like oh boy just what are we going to be in for with Drex's book. Well she wasnt lyin, this book is filled with the down and dirty.
I love her mind – she can take something that's been written about for hundreds of years (vampires) and put a total unique spin on the suckers. Her paranormal books are just full of such creativity, it just blows the mind on what hers can come up with.
Another demon, Drex, finds his mate, Nova, and what a crazy ride it was..
Let's all just take a moment of silence for the greatness that is this book. Damnit woman, you fucking killed it.
Please excuse this review is it doesn't quite make sense.. I'm dealing with book hangover from hell and my thoughts are currently jumbled.
The Thrall not only brings us back to some of our favourite characters, it opens this world a little wider and gives us a sneak peak into future possibilities and some real pretty new faces. It surpassed any and all expectations in every way.
Drex surprised me. Turns out our resident kinky demon has a snarky humour that had me crying laughing more time than I can count. He's not a natural sensitive soul by any means but even he has a line. To him no means no and when a pretty tiny black haired angel in destress happens across his path, he has to save the day. By save the day I mean he straight up does a snatch and grab on her ass and does a runner. There was so many layers to this man. Lord, did I love getting a peak at his sweet side and his playfulness. I was living for his protective possessiveness and that growly alpha attitude. Honestly he ticked every box and then some.
Nova is my kind of heroine. She's a realist who found herself in quite the predicament and instead of freaking out, she literally went with the flow and made the best out of a real shitfest. She's strong and sweet and nonjudgmental. Despite her circumstances she didn't blame anyone or lash out. She was an all round great heroine and the only woman who could tame that beast for sure.
These two are HOTTTTT. I'm talking make you break out in a sweat whilst reading kind of hot. The chemistry is insane and it's fast acting despite the crazy situation they both found themselves in. Neither was looking for that right person, it was like it was meant to be for them and it felt right. I loved the lack of drama between them and the fact there is no back and forth bullshit. I adore the sweet connection that blossomed along their journey and the undeniable feelings between them. They just had this natural banter and a sweet kind of vulnerability together that had me swooning like crazy. Honestly I'm team Drex and Nova, they're my favourite of this series and one of my all time favourite couples from Jessica.
This story is crazy. Lets just say expect the unexpected with a tonne of tension and saucy shenanigans, a bunch of crazy side characters that add some epic personalities to pages and leave you forever wanting more. Lots of old and new faces. Secrets, lies and new discoveries. As far as pnr romance goes this is one of my favourites. Great world building, fantastic character development and so many possibilities for the future. Jessica just has a way with connecting readers to her writing and this is no different. I'm so excited for what the future holds with this series and it's characters.
Now... Give me Arick. I'm laying claim now damn it. He's mine.
Vampire and demons and warlocks, oh my! In Jessica Gadziala's world, vampires persuade women to become part of their household by the usual means, not by force. As Nova found out, at first, escaping her awful life to live in unimaginable luxury with the doting attention of her handsome, powerful vampire was worth the idea of being part of his harem forever. What she didn't understand was that once she was no longer the fresh, shiny new plaything, she became relegated to what was essentially a "pantry" for her vampire's many and varied guests. This mean that anything was game for them - apart from straight-up rape. Being in her vampire's "thrall" made it impossible to leave without suffering the incapacitating pain. Wasting away from neglect and abuse at the hands of a particularly old and horrible vampire guest, Nova languishes in fear and despair.
When Drex, a demon member of the Seven Sins MC, witnesses Nova being beaten as part of a "scene" at his favourite kink club for supernaturals, something in his nature revolts, and he takes action. The resulting adventure is dangerous and thrilling in equal measure.
Another winner in this series - being on the rest, please!!
(Disclaimer: I really did love Twilight as a teen so no hate, this is just very much an adult book and not YA so adult me is way more about the steam here versus the teen tension of Mr. Cullen)
I’m SO GLAD Jessica was able to dip her toes into the world of the nosferatu, vampires, bloodsuckers, undead, etc. Maaaayyyybbeee this means a vampire series in our future?
I’m not begging, you’re begging.
I honestly didn’t know what to expect from this book. As a thrall would the leading lady be a simpering, whiny idiot begging to go back to her master? Would the demons sustain a war on other immortals in order to keep her? Would Drex soften enough to be a lovable hero?
Was I worried? Nah, it’s JG so I know my heart is in good hands, but I absolutely wasn’t sure what to expect.
I got everything I wanted and more.
The Drex we’ve met in past books in the series isn’t exactly full of warm fuzzies. We know outside of the rough exterior and gruff demeanor that he enjoys frequent visits to the paranormal kink club in the area to scratch the itch of his rougher side.
He surprised me a little I think. He was thoughtful in all the places he needed to be, while still staying in his lane of needs as well. I don’t think he compromised on himself as an individual while still meeting the needs of our heroine. It’s always refreshing to see character change and growth without seeing a character do an unrealistic 180. Plus, Drex sounds hot so he’s got that going for him.
Nova on the other hand didn’t surprise me so much as made me very, very happy. Not only was she our window into the world of JG vampires but I think she’s exactly what I would expect of a thrall. She was never disillusioned to what she got herself into, but grew discontent with her lot in life. All 100% believable and relatable, I feel.
Her recognition of how her last days would pan out left me feeling she was both intelligent and self aware. I hope to see plenty more of Nova in future books.
There will be high demand, I think, for Daemon’s story as the fun-loving puppies get all the attention but personally I’m eager to see where Bael’s story leads. Minos and Dale will be soon to follow too I imagine. Plenty of pathways left for us to follow as JG takes us for a ride through her paranormal world. Overall this MC series deserves ride or die commitment.
After finishing this book, I found myself wondering is there any genre Jessica Gadziala can’t write?! Her writing style and her characters capture you from page one and keep you hooked until the end!
When I started this series, I did not think it would make my top three for this author but after finishing book 3 I am absolutely hooked on all things supernatural! I mean demons, witches, vampires and let’s throw in Warlocks while we’re at it and I was bound to be hooked by this series.
Drex and Nova were so cute, sexy and relatable. Yes, a demon was relatable… who knew? This storyline was a bit different from the previous book since we get to see more of the couple grow together rather than amongst the entire MC… until the Calvary arrives!
This book gave the perfect balance of good and evil while keeping the relationship forming in the forefront. I didn’t think I would be interested in Drex’s story he just seemed to be all about a good time but after finishing this book and seeing the lengths he went through for Nova I was pleasantly surprised.
Im not sure who is up next, as usual Ms Gadziala has given us new characters to wonder about, but I know it will be an excellent addition to this series.
This series is outstanding!! Drex is just who you want when you need someone to rescue you. Nova is just what Drex needs to make his life interesting! These to together are hot! Can’t wait to see what is next!
I feel like a broken record, because I am not a writer, but OMG SHE HAS DONE IT AGAIN!! I love this series & its premise so much. Nova’s journey is totally different from other heroine I’ve read!! I don’t know what to say because I don’t want to spoil the fun. I devoured this one
Drex and Nova are the sweethearts of the Demon world!
I am in love with Drex and the care and concern he exhibited for Nova from the beginning, not that this behavior is unusual for these Demons, but to not see him fight it like Ace was almost refreshing.
Nova is a woman capable of giving as good as she gets, amd once she discovers they can break the thing holding her, her spirit in demanding the release of Drex is almost comical. I loved watching her fight with Arick, Ace and others, she doesn't understand why they won't go get him immediately, and unlike the others she refuses to stand by while they make the plans.
I will say I have more questions than answers at the end of The The Thrall then I did at the end of the previous two demon MC books, is there more to the connection and the demonslayer and Minos interrupted it? I love how Jessica Gadziala can always leave me intrigued and wanting more, even while loving the full novel I just finished!
Five gorgeous stars for the beauty that is the love between Drex and Nova, and these amazing new side characters she keeps sliding in as we go along!
" I mean, if you were going to have a savior, I would highly recommend a demon biker with a death wish. Because, damn."
Drex and Nova were just WOW! Not what I expected AT ALL! I loved them, their immediate connection, their bond and the drama that follows them! Ya'll, I am 150% here for all things Seven Sins MC! Jessica Gadziala has created this new book world that drags you in and refuses to let you go in all the absolute best possible ways! I have fallen in love with these characters, with all the new characters that we meet along the way and this unique world that keeps you guessing, swooning and burning through your kindle. SO GOOD!
Oh this one was so much fun! Demon with a heart saving an anemic thralled Vampire slave. Too much? Hardly! On the run loaded up with iron supplements and drugs to snap the connection...until they are caught.
I loved the warlock and want a story with him in it...please? All the gang of demon misfits to the rescue. Sadly Minos story so far looks a little like Buffy with Spike but I’m sure JG will get him his happy ending so to speak 🙃
I really enjoyed reading this today. When I woke up, JG advised it should be on KU. I checked 45m later and it was! Thanks JG for posting this great story on my bday...and shame on Renwick for it taking care of his things!! But Drex though....mmmm... it's always the broody ones I love 💕💕
Would have been a solid 4 stars but this was probably the shortest epilogue ever by this author (sad face), and for the hero to regularly frequent a kink club the kink/BDSM was very low. Lower than in some of her other books that don’t even mention kink/BDSM.
I didn’t think I was a paranormal reader until Jessica Gadziala started writing it. This book was so so good. I love Drex in all his surliness. He deserved some happiness
Another fun addition to this PNR demon romance series
Thrall, book 3 in the Seven Sins MC PNR series, is another short, fun stand-alone HEA that blends good and evil perfectly. Our demon hero is not a good being; demons never are. But when Drex sees an ancient vampire abusing the malnourished human in a way she clearly does not want he can’t simply stand by. Not sure why he feels almost compelled to save her.
Nova, our heroine, is enthralled or a “thrall”. She, of her own free will, gave herself to her vampire master to serve with other pretty young things as nourishment in exchange for a wealthy privileged life, now a pretty prison. Thralls once committed can’t escape; they are quite literally super-naturally bound to their masters and in excruciating pain if they put too much distance between their being and that of the vampire they are enthralled to.
This is the story of Drex saving Nova and in many wants Nova saving Drex. It is sweet and fast passed with a fair amount of heat too. Throw in some awesome side characters not just Drex’s demon family and their loves but the vampires, a really awesome warlock, an as yet undefined PNR barkeep and other MC human bikers and well you’ve got a story that is really fun to read. What makes it even better there are no absolute good and evil in these stories which feels more real than most books about humans. And of course, Jessica’s not to be missed epilogues are the cherry on top.
This is my unbiased review based on reading an advanced reader copy of Thrall.
The Thrall is the third book in the Seven Sins MC series by Jessica Gadziala. I'm not gonna l was a little weary going into this as this is not my genre and vampires... eh! But I should have trusted Jessica because like the rest of the series this book was amazing!
Drex is the one who always tells it how it is and never gets attached so why when he sees Nova does he feel this pull to protect her! When he sees her being beaten within an inch of her life he has to step in even if it could cause a war between the vampires and the demons.
Nova is half dead and doesn't feel the need to hold on too much longer. Although she freely gave herself to her master she didn't give herself to his friend who is feeding on her and will kill her any day now. She's just about given up when her night in shining biker rescues her.
This was such an epic story. I loved Drex and that was unexpected for me. In previous books he wasn't too appealing but her certainly redeems himself in the Thrall. Tall, dark and dangerous, he will do anything to protect Nova, even if it means he may lose time and be in pain himself. I Loved every minute if this book and of course the secondary characters where amazing. We meet Arick in this book and yes I want more of him! Overall an excellent read and highly recommend.
The Thrall is the third book in Jessica Gadziala’s paranormal romantic series Seven Sins MC. This is Drex’s book.
Drex has always been the kind of demon who is carefree and doesn’t pay much attention to things that don’t have to do with him. However when he witnesses the wrinkly ancient vampire beating the tiny human female, he feels a pull to save her. So when Drex gets the chance, he grabs her.
Nova is slowly dying at the hands of Davor, an old vampire who enjoys causing her pain. Although he is not her master, she’s still unable to leave because she’s an enthralled. Nova is surprised by how safe she feels the moment Drex takes her.
I really like Drex and Nova as a couple. Their personalities fit so well and it is easy to see them together. I enjoyed watching how protective they became of one another and to the lengths they would go for the other’s safety.
I like the secondary characters and I look forward to more in this series. I just wish the stories were a little longer so we could spend more time in this world.
i definitely think i’m in the minority for this one!
tropes!👇👇 -paranormal -(light) MC -demons on earth -on the run vibes -abused heroine -kinda playboy guy
yeah i definitely didn’t enjoy these last two books in the series! it was hyped up in book 2 how Drex kept going to a kinky club and “people” were like watch out he’s kinky and there was ZERO kink. yes spice but zerooooo BDSM
also it felt kinda insta obsession with the way he saved her after only seeing her once. i feel like if he could have just been obsessed with seeing her at the club for a few weeks, maybe tried to make a move on her, but she’s obviously kinda claimed so she couldn’t but he was still obsessed with her THEN he saves her it would have been so much better. cause they were also on the run for too long.
not my fav in the series and as always it feels kinda rushed at the end but i’m very excited for that 4th one.
I'm absolutely in awe of Jessica Gadziala's ability to come up with something new and different each time. I've loved all the previous books in this series, but each time I love the next one even more, which is not usually the case with me and series. The Thrall is so far my favorite in the Seven Sins. We are introduced to Vampires and their enthralled in this world of otherworldly creatures. Drex sees Nova at a club being abused by a vampire and immediately feels that he needs to get her away from this situation, even if it means leaving behind his own kind to do so. What follows next is an intense, steamy, and fast-paced journey as Drex races to take Nova away. Drex and Nova were multi-layered characters and I loved learning even more about the various creatures of this world. I can't wait for the next one!
Drex was always the biting sarcastic character in the other books. He seemed to not care about much besides getting back to Hell and visiting the supernatural kink club of Sanctuary. He definitely was looking down on and feeling badly for Minos, Ace, and Ly for them claiming women. What a delightful situation to see him knocked on his butt by a random woman that he knows he shouldn’t and can’t touch or help. It was a wonderful seeing him become protective, caring, a bit of a worry wart, and kind towards a woman he had no business being involved with or around. Nova was funny, and really really sad. Her situation, and how she got into it with the vampires, was depressing. I love her with Drex. I’m anxiously waiting to hear about which character is the focus of the next book in the series.
I love these demons! Drex and the others don’t want to admit they will Claim their forever mates but when it’s time, it’s time! Drex and Nova meet when he saves her from the evil vampire Davor. As she belongs to the vampires, she is under a Thrall and suffers agonizing pain if she tries to escape. Drex finds info from Airick to get around the Thrall and he and Nova set out on a cross country run to try. It seems to be working too until they’re caught.
Great story and another welcome part to this series! I’m suspecting who the next book will be about after the end of this one!
I liked this book. Red is still chasing after her former mentor who saved her life in book 2.
We are told in previous books Drex loves this kink club. But there was barely any kink. He likes spanking. It felt really misleading.
He rescues her from an abusive man. He's trying to save her from the vampires. She is a thrall and if she gets too far away from the vampire who enthralled her she suffers excruciating pain.
Honestly Arick the warlock (who told them how to break the thrall) stole every scene he was in. He can do magic, his tattoos move, and he knows a spell to make cereal not soggy. Very funny.
I'm not a big PNR reader but when JG does it, I dive in!
I have never heard the term Thrall before but the term was explained so well. I've also never been a big vampire person, yes I know that is probably not a popular opinion but damn girl! This one was so interesting and the vamps sounded so hot, I wanted to jump in. No wonder these women become Thralls.
Really though, I want my own demon who will wrap me up in his wings and never let go!
Another successful book. I loved how Drex was in the first book and I really love him in this book. Something I didn't think I would say but Drex and Nova just work. I like that Nova showed some courage near the end and put up a fight for Drex. Good job JG. Now let's move onto a Wizard that sounds like all kinds of interesting, 6'7" with moving tats ... hmmm.
Interesting plot and characters but was left disappointed. This is a bit of a short read and shorter more so when it seems like a third of the book is made up of sex scenes. It was a little much since I was more interested in diving into this supernatural world and see the characters kick ass. No real wow factor to this book for me. It can be read as a standalone.
