This is it, Take Down is the third and final book in Paige's story and it was everything I could have hope for in the series conclusion. Everything has come to ahead, enemies are closing in on all sides, the wolf shifter gods are at play and Paige is finally discovering her full potential with her mates by her side.
Paige has been through a lot, she had lost her mom when she was young, grew up with the entire pack watching her, waiting for their shot to take the power of being a female heir's mate. Her father was killed, she learned that her mother's side of the family, the Sphers, are a den of vipers and she's come to realize how some will stop at nothing for power. Through it all Paige has steadied herself, adapted, thought things through, planned, protected, and so much more, she was an alpha even if no one acknowledged it.
The guys were supportive and loving and all of them fit so well with Paige, giving her something that she needs but for most of them this is the beginning of their relationship. They are Paige's fated mates and everything just clicks so it's hard to remember that Paige (therefore readers) don't know much about her mates, in the previous book we got a good look at most of her harems past and a hint of family, well this time it's Declan's and Micah's turn. I loved getting to know more about them and seeing Paige and the guys interact with each of their families.
Speaking of the guys, that Aiden mess got resolved, and thank the gods for that because it was killing me. Aiden really surprised me, I pegged him for a jerk in the first book now seeing all the crap he went through, seeing how he is with Paige and the guys I actually like him now. As for the rest of the storyline, all the dirt comes out. Nance has been doing shady crap for a long time and when what she's been up to and her reasons blew my mind. I still can't stand Nance but I wonder if the men in her family didn't try to repress her power from the start if she was nurtured and loved if she would have turned out different. Not to mention the trouble Nance brought with her in the form of more males who want power, think less of women, and are cruel in even the most basic of ways. Just another male seeking to debase women overlooking their power, sexism at its highest
I had an epiphany. The gods are seriously at work in this one and I finally understand Ulfric and the Maiden now, I understand their past, their purpose, and how they connect to the wolf shifters. Also, I finally get the vision Paige has been having since the beginning and all of it is a revelation.
Take Down is the conclusion to Paige's story, a story of a strong woman taking control of her power to help others with the support of her loved ones. This series had a strong statement about feminism and a took a hard look at how men and women are treated in the world, yes it may be a paranormal story but that doesn't mean some things don't apply. Sam did a fantastic job with the series, the with compelling characters and interesting plot. Not to mention a few surprises at the end, including the possibility of a couple of spin-offs. One can only hope.

Well hello there.
Last book in the series – so if your looking for a complete binge, this is it.
Do you like rejected mates?
Do you like to read about more than one love interest?
Do you also feel like you shouldn’t have to choose?
Then this is for you.
I have loved taking this journey with Paige from the first moment I opened the first book. As her story carried on I grew more and more attached to her and her men. I have always loved a FMC that was able to stand up for herself. Someone that didn’t need the men in her life to fight her battles for her. But soft enough and sensitive enough to let her men step in from time to time.
Sam Hall created such a colourful world with an intense back story with Ulfric and the Moon maiden that I was immersed into their culture, their belief system to the point where I wanted to go outside and cry my troubles to the moon.
This book has the most amazingly well rounded ending with such a kick that I actually felt it to my gut.
An excellent ending the an epic series. I will be sad to see the characters go.

Much like Paige herself, Ms. Hall doesn't pull punches for the conclusion to this series and what a fantastic series this has been. I've loved the themes of feminine power and the necessity of balance interwoven throughout. There's a lot of action and purpose happening for Paige and her mates in Take Down. The flow of the story and how the plot progressed was on point. When I reviewed book 2, I felt the mythology elements of that plot sometimes felt a bit hard for me. I thought at the time that things would go more smoothly in book 3 and Ms. Hall pulled that off very well in my opinion. Everything made more sense to me and all the threads throughout the first two books and ones introduced here, felt finished by the end.
Along with all the action (aka bad guy fighting) that happens, Paige continues to find her place. As a character, she's developed so much since book 1. I also love her strength and how she leans on her guys when she needs to. There's some in-law meet-ups, lots of pack time, and continued building of individual relationships. We quickly get some progress with Aidan and I appreciated that we didn't have to wonder about his safety for long. Building that relationship and the pack incorporation was also not rushed, which I thought was perfect for the story. One of the parts I've loved about this series is the devotion that exists between Paige and her mates and this continues to shine in this final book.
I'm not going to spoil anything about the bad guys. There are big threats in play and I don't think it's a spoiler to say that while our group triumphs over evil, how they get there is a process. Even after the final fight, there's still more to be done because the world itself is shifting.
Ms. Hall provides extended peeks into the future that are heart-warming and continue to show how Paige and her guys are the amazing group they are. There are definitely possibilities for continued stories in this world and I hope we get some. I'd particularly love to read some that might be a bit lighter showing ulvas finding and connecting with their mates as the world shifts. Definitely recommend this series!

As with every Sam Hall book I’ve had the privilege to read, Take Down was phenomenal! I’m finding it difficult to put into words just how incredible this book was. This story was supposed to be a standalone, toyed with being a duet, but ultimately, it reached its predestined form as a trilogy. And Take Down was the perfect conclusion.
There were several revelations that were made in the previous book and they all screamed to be addressed. And that’s exactly what we get. The bonds between Paige and her mates is tested and strengthened. I love Mason, Zack, Micah, Declan, Lorcan, and Aidan. I love the way they are with Paige, the way they have given themselves over to their bond. I love how different they all are, filling the various parts of Paige to make this pack whole.
We also get confirmation on what happened to Adam (Paige’s father) and let me just say, vengeance is sweet! New threats arise and choices have to be made. The love story between Ulfric and the Maiden was unexpectedly heartbreaking and endearing. The themes of female power, dominance, and purpose are evident.
The story was fast-paced. There was never a dull moment. As with all of Sam’s books, and I tend to say this in many a review, the writing is just sublime. I love how poetic it is at times. And in this book, there were so many little nuggets. The characters were strong and well written. You loved some and hated others. And there were moments of fear and anxiety and I found myself yelling at my Kindle.
All I can say, is that this book was great! I encourage everyone who loves shifter stories to read this series and really let it seep into your very being. Surrender! Surrender to this incredible story.

There’s not a single moment where I was secure in the knowledge of what was going on.
The whole Father Wolf thing was frankly weird as hell and really threw me.
We have an anticlimactic battle royale (I don’t know why she needed to train further in hand to hand combat to defeat her elderly aunt anyway) and then she’s like ‘If I only knew what was coming...’
Girl, you’re giving me heartburn.
What now?!
Nothing is completed to the point of satisfaction.
Every event is a culmination of attention deficit.
Each plot arc ends by crashing into a brick wall that had been deceptively painted in a tableau of how everything had been perfectly arranged to go.
It’s more of a jarringly consistent cartoon slapstick than an attempt at plot twist.
I felt increasingly concussed and confused.
I’d never put spoilers in my reviews, but it’s not as if I could sensibly describe what happened, even if I wanted to.
It was a lot.
I appreciated the message that she overtly acknowledged she was going for – uplifting what women want, need, and deserve in a society that fails them, sacrificing their vitality and potential for men’s meagre gain – but this was an unfortunately chaotic fever dream surmounting to nonsense.
The relationship developments with the guys also wasn’t appealing or interesting.
They were more of an obligation and pretty vanilla experimentation.
The ending is sweet but ultimately pointless.
It’s an epilogue, really.
That was more of an undertaking than enjoyable reading and I’m honestly looking forward to finding a bad palette cleanser book that at least makes sense.

No one writes metaphysical shifter PNR quite like Sam Hall. Take Down is the finale of the Reach for the Moon series. It was a bittersweet read - as much as I enjoyed this book and as satisfying as the ending is, I was sad to see the series come to an end.
This book picks up after the events of Come Out Swinging, with the true nature of nix/ulva revealed and the knowledge that a war is coming to Paige and her men. There is so much packed into this book - action, steam, spirituality, feminism, and growth of characters. And just when you think things are finally settled and wrapped up for Paige, something (or someone) else pops up to threaten the peace of Luppindorf and its heir.
This book spent a lot of time with the the wolf/moon gods and sometimes flips between the spiritual realm and reality very quickly. There is a good balance of action and steam tied to the plot progression and the story moves at a good pace. The ending seemed to come so fast - and I was happy with how Paige's story was wrapped up. I would have loved to see more of Paige with each of her men and get to know them better, but they really seemed to focus on the relationship unit. It seems like there are some spin-offs/crossovers that may come from this series, which I would love to see. It would be great to see how lives changed for ulva as result of the events of this book.

Satisfying conclusion to the series
This wasn’t your average rejected mates story, even though it appeared to start that way. It had a lot of the same aspects as books others with this troop. Book two showed that the story wasn’t just about love and loss and rekindling romance. There was mystery, there was action, some darkness, some divinity and bigger questions. Not what you would expect from this trope.
This was a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy. All of the story lines were wrapped up, even the main ones from the first two books were wrapped up basically in the beginning of this book. The rest of the book was finalizing some new storylines that had been introduced and then, of course, concluding the series with a few glimpses into the future.
Although this book started as a more romantic story it’s overall takeaway was basically empowering women and having them fight to overcome their obstacles to be what they were always meant to be. I think this is a very important message in general but I really like how it was embraced, fought for and shown within this series.
Sam Hall is a great storyteller and her series are never just one story, there’s always more to dissect and learn about and I think that’s what makes her a great writer. Looking forward to her next book and series.

I think I already said in one of my previous reviews that shifter romance just isn't my cup of tea. I like a handful of them but the genre is not my go to. That being said: RftM overall was a good series. Paige is one of the most levelheaded FMC and I really liked that. She doesn't rush, she doesn't get hysterical, she is devoted and straightforward. She had to deal with quite a lot in her life - but she doesn't whine about it all the time. Trauma should always be addressed but I hate it when it is mentioned on every second page.
The second book hinted to a redemption of Aiden and I was quite curious how that would turn out. I have to tell you: I really didn't like Aiden and after the events in book 2, I really couldn't imagine a way in which Aiden would be redeemable BUT book 3 absolutely did it.
And let me tell you: I think the way in which was dealt with the villains of this series: brilliant.
Overall I'm really satisfied with the way the series ends. I was entertained with all of the books and would recommend the series to readers that are really into shifter books with a mystical touch and a strong, independant, no nonsense female with mates who don't overwhelm her with their alphaness but stand by her side.

Wow, what an ending to a great series…
Take Down picks up with Paige having left Lupindorf to head back to the city, regroup her pack and learn more about what it means to be Uva. She has had to leave behind a potential mate who is under the will of her aunt, a woman corrupted by power and misplaced familial duty; a woman who needs to be taken down. Paige and her mates are also dealing with the aftermath of her cousins trauma and the compulsion to train for the fight they know is coming. What they don’t realize is just how far reaching the patriarchal bullshit of shaming nix’s is and how many shifter communities are involved.
The book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just when you think you know what’s going on, and that Paige and her mates may finally catch a break, something else devastating pops up. In true Sam Hall fashion, the world building is super involved and intricate and she has created some of the most epic characters in her Reach for the Moon series. We’re talking wolf gods, badass FMC, devoted mates and lots of steamy heat. There is also some crossover with another series that Sam’s fans are sure to appreciate, and a few characters that (fingers crossed) are ripe for a spinoff.
I’m sad the series had to end, but what an ending it was!! A definite must read for anyone’s TBR list.

It has you're knotted males that we met in the last two books. it has some new villains and some villains you already hated. There A few characters that you may have touched on earlier or possibly knew that you get a little bit more of a look at. some thing she learned when she made the guys and saw the pass you get some answers to and meet some of the people she saw there. Questions from the previous two books finally answered. There are some deaths in the book. To which might cause you to cheer, one of which was tragic and violent which may cause some abuse triggers. But we knew about abuse in the previous books so hopefully that doesn't deter people. Because in the end they abusers get what's coming to them.
When the book ends or you think it should end Sam goes on. She sets it up in a way that leaves us needing more in a possible spinoff series. I look forward to seeing if she does continue in this world she created.

The perfect ending to Paige's story, but could there be more 😉
This book was masterly written and all aspects and story line were brought together perfectly.
I had to stop and take notes at Chapter 10 when there was a particular heart melting/stopping time because it was just so well written I had to take a break and think on it! I wanted to devour this book as it is a page turner, but as it was the last in the series I wanted to pace myself and savor it as well, so quite the conundrum! This book was masterly written and all aspects and story line were brought together perfectly.
I had to stop and take notes at Chapter 10 when there was a particular heart melting/stopping time because it was just so well written I had to take a break and think on it! I wanted to devour this book as it is a page turner, but as it was the last in the series I wanted to pace myself and savor it as well, so quite the conundrum! Holy craptastic amaze balls! That was perfection! This was the ending to end all endings and it was absolutely everting I could ask for. I loved Aiden and I love him more now. I love all the boys in all honesty and I think they grew to compliment and work together so perfectly. Nance is a piece of work in my eyes but I think she was a trained/ conditioned one by her upbringing even if it wasn’t a planned upbringing result if that makes sense? I think she got treated like crap and forced into a box and it made me fee for her even though she’s a bit off her rocker 😂. That being said she made for the perfect bad guy mixed with all those power hungry men. Ultimately I felt like everything wrapped up in a way that made perfect sense, produced a ton of growth and obviously ended with a well earned reunion! Another great series I intend to buy in paperback and share among my friends!

Another amazing series by the author. The emotional roller coaster you get from reading this book is my favorite part. You go from happy to sad or PISSED then you hang around in an unknown area for a little before going back through the gambit BUT you are always on simmer when it comes to the heat factor. Maintaining that simmer, while going through all the other emotions, is one of the things that makes me a huge fan of the author. The steamy parts fit with the narrative seamlessly and boy are there some steamy scenes! Sad to see this is the end to these characters, but thankfully the author has other series in play so I am not left for sweating too long for my next fix. To anyone who has not read anything by the author, I highly recommend you get started ASAP! You will not be disappointed, well make sure you are into her “style” beforehand.

I knew this was going to be a huge battle Paige would face fighting her aunt for the death of her father, mother, for freedom of herself, her cousins , and her mates. But, I was not prepared for it to be this epic. Paige, and her mates have to prepare for a war like no other Alpha has faced. However, as much as Paige and her mates want to leave after the battle with her aunt is over, they can’t. When the wolf gods come out it really goes crazy with more secrets revealed.The secrets, lies, murders, and countless other offensives that have happened in the name of power need to be stopped. Mason, Zack, Malachi, Aidan, Declan, and Lorcan are all kinds of hot, and willing to give their mate whatever she needs. They support Paige no matter what challenges she faces and hold their head proud to be her pack. The ending was perfect! But, I’m going to stop there cause I don’t like spoilers, I fully recommend this series!

Intense in all the best ways
So...I was hesitant at first with this series because I just wanted something fun and dirty and Sam Hall has a reputation for giving you the feels. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the series. It gave me the feels in a good way not that gut wringing emotion churning cry your eyes out way and I 100 percent will watch for any spin off series. Sam Hall has a way of pulling you into her worlds so that you never want to leave. That's how I felt at the end with Paige and her guys. I just wanted to walk with them through life but it wasn't so emotional that I had a book coma. Lol. Sam Hall definitely has the start of a new universe with this series and even though it is complete I can't wait to see if it continues with Kailee's story.

Take Down was an amazing ending to a great series! Paige's story is wrapped up beautifully in this conclusion with her mates by her side. The emotional connection between Paige and her men was off the charts and the heat was high. The Gods came into play and added to the story and the antagonists were perfection in the story line. Old and new enemies were dealt what they deserved and it couldn't have been done better. Take Down was aptly named and the world building was well done. I especially loved the looks forward at the end to see where the key players in the series end up. All the questions get answered and Paige's HEA is so well deserved. If you're looking for a completed series I highly recommend this!!

I always hate it and like it at the same time when a series comes to an end. Like it because I get to know the rest of the story but hate it because the characters you've grown to love will have an ending in their story. This book written by Sam is book 3 in the reach for the moon series and you'll need to read book 1 and 2 before reading this. Paige is a nix and all is revealed in this book what it precisely entails. Paige is finally getting full potential and I was excited see how the relationships of Paige with the guys are. I'm hoping we'll see more since Sam has a way of ending things but leaving things open as well. Maybe we'll be surprised soon. I'm here for it as I love the stories Sam weaves and I enjoyed this one so much.

This was the final installment in Paige's story. The mysteries were solved and the villians were confronted. It was an emotional ride filled with twists and turns enough to keep any reader satisfied. This was most definitely a pretty firm conclusion to the story of her and her men. I loved the way Sam Hall gave the readers a very clear ending to the story. It felt very validating and woman centered. A few days ago I read an article calling this summer Mad Girl Summer instead of Hot Girl Summer talking about how this is the girl powered summer. If Black Widow is the movie anthem of that then this book would be the novel anthem of the same. Paige takes back her power and by example and action, helps other women do the same. I love it. I hope you do too.

Interesting
I was disappointed by this book because there was A LOT going on and a big part of it was just easily fixed.
There was A LOT of unnecessary s3x.. and I'm a total fan but it took me it of the flow of the story many times. The epilogue of Paige (not Stevie) was like a novella it just gave me more questions and didn't enhance the ongoing story.
The series started out really well and drew me in completely but it seemed like the author couldn't decide which if her 10000 ideas would work best so she tried to fit them all in. It's definitely admirable, but not well executed.
I am still a fan of this author so I would recommend as the next reader might enjoy it more.

Well that’s a wrap people!
I have to say this series was intense, but your nails, scream for more, and leave with one heck of a book hangover.
I see there is potential for some spin off or side adventures in this world and with some new characters.
I think Sam Hall did a great job in clarifying the god/goddess wishes, clearing the air with the betrayal and purposeful deaths, and giving a happy ending for almost all that deserved it (and that were still alive by the end).
The world building is amazing, and expansive. The characters growth with each other, their own roles in the group, and as they age are just beautiful.
Definitely recommend!

You jump right into action with hot AF steamy scenes with dominance and such detail.

“Take Down” is the final book in Paige’s story. It begins with Aidan and determining if he can break out of the mind control. Learning how he was raised was heartbreaking. There are quite a few showdowns in this book. I hate that Nancy and Johnson got the upper hand so many times and hurt all those people. I love how the guys can bring Paige back from the crazy to the sweet and sexy side of their relationship. One of the best things about this book is that when you think it’s over, Paige brings in a whole new aspect to their lives and changes their future. This was so amazing and I’m so upset it’s over. I highly recommend this entire series!

balance and rapprochement between male and female power, individual and family/community duties. Plus, it's a fine story with engaging characters, small town political intrigue and challenging family dynamics. There were times it brought tears to my eyes, and times I wanted to stand up and cheer! Read this book, but only after the first two.

I slowed down my reading, because this was the last book in the series, for the characters to live in my head longer.
The ending of this book reminds me of the tv-land ending of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where her power went to all the girls, females in the world. Take Down ends with all of Mother/Maiden power being sent to all the Nix/Ulva in Australia and hopefully beyond.
Take down by Sam Smith brings so much excitement to my reading world. This book has everything. Snarky sarcastic one-lines, wonderful backstory characters, plot, crazy family drama, fight scenes, multi-characters hot scenes, and so much spice. I really loved the development of this series.

A great conclusion to the series!
All the loose ends were tied up giving us all the answers we needed, unfortunately some of the moments felt very monologued. I enjoyed how much we got to delve into the MMCs, their backstories and families. The intent and actions of the characters sometimes left me a little unfulfilled. It’s fair that a plan never survives first contact with the target, but there were a few moments that I was unimpressed with the characters choices. It didn’t make senses how they couldn’t see those results coming and how they simply accept certain things.
Overall a decent paranormal shifter romance, with some interesting mystery and a bit of spice.

So much happens in the race toward this novel’s conclusion. It seems inevitable that there would be big moments where my heart would race in both fear and wild joy for this group I’ve become so attached to. Seeing them go through so much and come to this point means their journey is really at the end, and it’s a bittersweet thing to say goodbye. Sam created a world with this series that sucked me in from the first words, and I can’t say I regret getting lost inside these pages for a second. This was A+ storytelling!

This is definitely the best book in the series. It takes you above and beyond where you think it will, and the story is all the better for it. There are so many unexpected twists and turns that it makes for an amazing read. As usual, Ms. Hall does not disappoint in the spicy bedroom scenes. This is also not a stand-alone book, you must have read the first two books for this book to make sense.
I highly recommend this book for those of you that like high emotions, descriptive and not your run-of-the-mill sex scenes, unexpected turns of events, and just a fantastic story.
