I was able to finish this in one sitting. Some great advice to calm your mind and reduce your stress. A few new pointers but most of these tips I have heard of before. Still recommended to destress and be more present in life, with family and friends, work and more.
One of the better self-help, mindfulness, de-stress yourself books I have read this year.

I cannot say enough good things about this book! When picking up an "A to Z" book as an adult, you pretty much expect to be able to predict what each letter will stand for--I do at least. But several of these letters were surprising to me in the best of ways. This book had some standard suggestions for simple meditations and relaxations, but aside from that, it also has several prompts for writing, drawing, reflecting, meditating, breathing, and coloring. PLUS the watercolor illustrations were beautiful.

First off, this book is beautiful. The illustrations and quotes are lovely and I wish I had been reading a paper copy so that I could truly immerse myself in the beauty of it. Mindfulness is something I'm currently trying to focus on and this book has excellent ideas for how to incorporate mindfulness into your daily life! The daily section specifically spoke to me and I made some notes for myself to utilize moving forward in my own practice.
This book is very interactive and for anyone trying to get into journaling I think this would be an excellent way to begin. I'll be revisiting some of these sections again and again.

This book is so aesthetically pleasing! But first things first: all the information contained in this book is precious. The book is divided by the letter A to Z as it says in the title and all of them are related to mindfulness. After each letter, there are spaces for the reader to write down their own thoughts and ideas and a inspiring quotes, as well as magnificent illustrations. I enjoyed this book a lot and I completely recommend it to everyone. Rating: 5/5 stars.
In a world where everything has me fretting about a multitude of things, this book is just what I needed to remember to stop & reconnect with myself. There are so many good techniques and exercises in this book to help you take a step back and calm yourself. This is absolutely a book I will return to again and again as I try to navigate everyday life in the “new normal”.

The A to Z of Mindfulness is a philosophical and practical treatise on incorporating more mental presence in our daily existence. Due out 5th Jan 2021 from Andrews McMeel, it's 128 pages and will be available in hardcover format.
Arranged as an alphabet primer, each of the letters A to Z contains a concept or observation (A is for Acceptance, B is for breathing and so on), along with some guided exercises to improve learning and integration. The exercises are gently written and presented, such as writing down words which describe how the reader is feeling and focusing on breathing and visualizing thoughts as clouds passing overhead and moving along and drifting away.
The accompanying art is beautifully relaxing and appealing. Much of it is nature inspired (see cover) and rendered in relaxingly simple pastels. In a world which feels increasingly anxiety inducing and out of control, these small exercises and gentle concepts can have a remarkably large positive impact on our daily lives.
I loved the coloring mandala and a lot of the visualization and breathing exercises. This would make a superlative and thoughtful gift choice or present for oneself.

This book would be great for people who are interested in becoming more mindful in their daily lives.
Each letter of the alphabet is given a corresponding word that has something to do with mindfulness. The author describes that feature of mindfulness, suggests one or more activities, and includes one or more quotes illustrated with watercolor before moving on to the next letter. The activity book format keeps the reader engaged and encourages mindful contemplation.
The introduction and conclusion answer the question of why mindfulness is a worthy practice, gearing this book toward beginners, but there are so many suggestions for activities and thought experiments that almost anyone could find something in here that would be beneficial to their mindfulness practice.
I didn't give this book five stars because I felt like some of the activities didn't correspond well to the mindful word they were included under, but al of the activities and all twenty-six topics seem well-considered and beneficial to the practice of mindfulness.
I'm so glad I read The A to Z of Mindfulness: Simple Ways to Be More Present Every Day by Anna Barnes today. This is a quick read that provides an overview and benefits mindfulness from A to Z in a very approachable way. I often hear that people are overwhelmed by the concept of mindfulness and this book really breaks it down in a way that would appeal to a beginner. I thought the author did a wonderful job of providing examples of how mindfulness can be incorporated into daily life.
I appreciated the quotes, mantras, and activities throughout. This book would be best in a physical copy since the reader is encouraged to write responses and there are also coloring pages. I am in love with the beautiful watercolor illustrations and they make this book truly special! This would make a lovely gift to someone interested in starting to learn about mindfulness and one I would love to pick up a physical copy. I can see myself returning to this book in times of stress and reminding myself of all of the ways I can be mindful.
Mindfulness and the art of being present during a time when our anxiety might be the highest. Seems like a good idea to check out a book to help ones mental health during a pandemic. The book offers a simple approach and a daily activity to help you stop worrying and just be present in the moment.
What did I like? I love the simple cover on this book which is not only soothing but charming. The book offers several activities like coloring to reduce worry and simply be present. Crafty stuff has a way of keeping you present. The book was an easy read and had a few great quotes for some uplifting thoughts.
Would I buy or recommend? Simplistic approach in a workbook approach with several ideas such as drawing and coloring. I would love a paper copy and recommend this to people who want to learn some easy approaches to mindfulness. Five stars!

This book is very cool. There are lots of great suggestions with lovely illustrations and places to jot down notes or thoughts. It also has some mandalas to color in. I got this in ebook version, but I think this book would be even better in print version. Still, you can easily follow along with the exercises in the kindle version. Each letter of the alphabet has a word associated with it and a suggestion for how to be more mindful. Like C is for coloring, G is for gardening, and L is for listening. For, example, I love the idea of a kit to grow herbs indoors. I’m definitely trying a lot of these suggestions out.

Very much a primer about mindfulness - based on the number of pages, you'd know this initially going into this read. However, it managed to pack a lot of tips and pointers throughout, in concise and easy to understand language. You don't need to be a long-time practitioner of mindfulness or need a guru or guide to help you 'get' the concepts, and this was refreshing and made this a winner for me. Also really liked the format - assigning a word/concept to every letter of the alphabet and thus giving the wide scope mindfulness can take and that's not a 'one way fits all' approach - you can find 'your' way, and that's perfectly fine. A very good one detailing the concept and easily accessible to each and all
The book is divided into A to Z alphabets signifying major concepts in mindfulness. I found this book really calming and engaging. Each topic ends in an actionable activity, which makes you practice the concept and understand the effect right away. I did all the exercises in the book, some of which I plan to pursue regularly.
The major highlights of the book are the beautiful illustrations and quotes. It's no doubt a beautiful book.
This is a great one. No predictable at all as far as what each letter will represent, and author avoids the error that other A to Z authors make: it's not at all predictable or boring. Author has collected some inspiring insights, and created a work that's just what you need: simple, speedy, direct, delightfully so. I loved this one and even though I received an online free copy for review, I'll be sure to pick up a copy of my own...and then a few more for Christmas gifts this year.

This book is brilliant, it gives you ideas on how to be mindful. I love the illustrations in the book, along with the interactive side, where you can write down your thoughts and even colour in some of the pages.

It’s colourful and well put together and is a book I will read over and over during times of need and when needing to be present with my self and my mindfulness
Beautifully illustrated. A self help A - Z guide to mindfulness, with daily exercises. A way to calm your mind and reduce stress. From breathing exercises, colouring and mediation. There is space to write things and a few mandalas to colour in.

I think we all need a little reminder to practice more mindfulness and this book is perfect for that. It has beautiful illustrations, affirmations and mindfulness activities to go along with each letter. Seriously loved reading through this book!

Thoughts: Lovely concise little guide. There are both explanations about each point and at least one exercise for each to help us fully understand and attempt it. There's also lovely positive quotes throughout to help with mindset as you read.
