Good reading

Too much space wasted on reliving last exploits . Anyone who is a real fan and has gotten this far should not have to go through that verbatim.

Johnstone must have been sick at this point in his life. The book was good, but too many continuity issues. He calls them Battalions yet uses the Brigade designator. It was Jackie Malone that notched Claire's ear, yet Jersey gets credit for it. The feel of the book has change, when did his team decide strategy it was always his Brigade Commanders. Ike has disappeared, his number two for running the SUSA Army and doesn't really appear for many books. I feel sorry for Johnstone at this point, one of his legacy for the better term is diluted.

Great action, but it seems like Johnstone lost his focus. Battalions called Brigades, different people getting credit for other people's kills, just a lot of general oddities. Other than that, this was a great book in the series with Jersey and Cooper getting more and more screen time.

Very good adventure series. Basically the forming of a new United States after WW3 and the story of the man who leads and forms it. If you like men's adventure stories you will enjoy it. Recommended
