In a high-end Los Angeles suburb, wealthy wives are being found dead in their luxurious homes, with seemingly no connection. As Jessie plunges deeper into their exclusive world of clubs, lunches, vacations and every possible perk, she quickly realizes that appearances are not what they seem in their silver-spooned world-and that a killer is actively hunting amongst them.

Someone reviewed this book wonderfully, "I just can’t stop reading this subpar series." Honestly, this was not the worst book in the series. No one got injured, Hannah did nothing and Kat was barely in the book. Dare I say this book was slightly boring? And as always, totally unbelievable, solving a series of murders in a few days. Really loved the proposal in the murder scene - that was a beautiful touch. Gotta love Jessie being a Debbie Downer even when getting engaged and deflating poor Ryan yet again. I would have really enjoyed a better motive than, "I killed once and it was so fun I needed to do it again." Really? No. Come up with something better than "a rush" before you decide to kill ten people. Where is the creative writing?! On the flip side, I would like a private chef to come to my house for a party and I want to live like these boujie people. The reviews raving about this book are just as good as the book itself - definitely take a read.
Blake Pierce is Genius... Another Jessie Hunt thriller
This story starts out with the reminder of Ryan wanting to marry Jessie and he giving her the 💍 ring. He gave her the ring 💍 in California place in the mountains Wildwood Pines where they finally caught the Night Hunter and was killed by Hannah, Jessie's sister. Ryan and Jessie are put on a case in Santa Monica, CA and Brentwood, CA where the women were killed the same way. The killer slit their throat and an artery in their leg 🦵 and even lifted their 🎭 to watch them die. It was definitely a story worthy of Blake Pierce. I highly recommend this another Jessie Hunt thriller, the Perfect Image.
Not a bad read an Jessie and Ryan get a break from being physically injured as in past episodes of their lives. Hannah has the opportunity to become a vigilante super hero in the future or will she go to the dark side? I hope the former. Kat is Kat diligently working to solve PI cases and being a stable force in more chaotic lives around her. Only thing is in real life, murders are not solved in 48 hours so it is nice to escape reality and indulge in good triumphing over evil always. Thank you for keeping this hope alive. We need to have good win more often.
While I have largely enjoyed this series, I'm becoming increasingly irritated by the same clichéd description, book after book. A prime example is the number of people who have dirty blonde hair. The number of people with dirty blonde hair has grown to extraordinary limits and is such an irritating description I seriously feel like doing the author bodily injury. By and large Mr P, you're a decent author but sadly I subscribe to the saying that there's always at least a dozen different ways to describe things, don't limit yourself to the same irritating description
This story is relatable and fully possible to be real (hope it never gets there!). An interesting plot, as always well put together by Blake Pierce, that keeps the reader entertained and engrossed in the story and characters. Jessie continues to be an exceptional woman, however, she is not consumed anymore by the criminals she pursues. I downloaded a free copy of this book and this is my honest review.
I listened to the audio book, which was pretty well done. One thing I liked is that there was very little about her sister Hannah in this book. I don't particularly care for that character. I didn't like that this book made Ryan seem sloppy as a detective rushing for convictions. Twice Jessie tells him that he's wrong and off-base. I think it made them less a strong team and her a little less likeable.

Blake Pierce has managed to pull us in for another Jessie Hunt thriller with The Perfect Image. This time we are taken to California where women are being killed in a manner that reminded me of the way in which animals were killed. This killer likes to watch them die.
I do enjoy the progression of Jessie over time and her relationship with Ryan. Can’t wait for the next installment.
Jessie and Ryan are after a killer again, exhausting all efforts they almost went with the wrong man. After all, it would finally be solved but Jessie just couldn’t let it go until she was 100% sure and that’s exactly what she did!! Kept going!!
I call these books fluff mysteries. Not too complicated and not introduced to all the suspects so we need to wait to see Jessie hunt figure them out with Ryan. With that said I really like reading them even if they are pretty predicatable. Nice to have recurring characters and the family dynamics also.
Jessie as a psychological profiler soon found that in the elite homes laid secrets and much more, and nothing was at it seemed to be. Follow her as she outlines and figures out who is behind murdering these woman.Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
Not fond of Andy coming back to torment Jessie. The murder plot was good. Still waiting for more interaction with Hannah and her problems. Very excited with the Jessie and Ryan engagement.
Blake Pierce never ceases to amaze me. There is always something around the corner, making me want to continue. The ending grabs me in a way that I want to just start the next book. I can’t wait!
Loved this one as normal I was trying to solve it in my head as I was reading it. The different ways Blake comes up with for cases are amazing. I just keep wondering how the next one will go. Highly recommend any of his books. I buy them all.
This is one of my favourite book in the series I’ve read so far. It just fascinates me how Jessie and her colleagues can find these murders, it was quite suspenseful for me because I had a hard time believing that the chef had something to do with it

With this one you have suspend a reality and let them solve the horrendous crimes in about an hour. So sorry to see Hannah used so poorly in this book!!!! Glad to see the killer gone - finally - that story line went on way too long.
This series is like your weekday breakfast. You don’t have a lot of time, so you want something that’s easy to digest. Consistent, you always know what will happen, and good enough to enjoy daily. I want to add some spice to this plot with the introduction of beef from Dtv Valentine. I hope whatever they have got going on doesn’t get resolved
I listened to the audiobook of this book and enjoyed it. It wasn’t my favorite book that I’ve listened to in this series so far but, it kept my attention and there were some twists.
Excellent Book. I can not get enough of Blake Pierce books they are all wonderful I loved this book can not wait for the next one to come out I highly recommend this book to everyone Dorothy Schaefer
Another good read from Blake Pierce. Great plot twists, as usual. Finally Jesse and Ryan are getting "together". Can't wait to see what's in store for homicidal Hannah.
