The Unveiling

Rate this book
Panic Grips the world as a nuclear showdown in the Middle East threatens to engulf the world in an atomic fireball. Then suddenly, millions of people from all over the earth instantly vanish off the face of the planet with no explanation. Speculation suggests it was the result of a new secret weapon fired into the Middle East standoff, but when the global leaders introduce the world’s populace to a powerful alien race, the Balazons, all bets are off.

Shocking words of revelation from Khur-ak, the alien leader, threaten to destabilize the world even further. He claims that they have been invisibly influencing the evolution of human kind for millions of years; that they are, in fact, the gods we have so long worshipped. Now they bring a message of universal peace and prosperity as well as a desire to continue man’s evolution openly and with full knowledge.
-----------------------------
Though written as fiction, "The Unveiling" is a credible open contact scenario. When confronted with the mysteries of existence, those who don't believe in some sort of personal God generally subscribe to the modern scientific view that the universe came into existence at a cosmic "big bang" explosion billions of years ago, and everything (including life forms) subsequently evolved slowly through natural processes spanning these many billions of years. In his book The Origin of Species, first published in 1859, Charles Darwin was the first to successfully popularize this concept of evolution in relation to organic life. Ever since then, Darwin's biological evolutionary beliefs have been hotly debated between two general camps: those who believe in a personal Creator and those who don't.

If evolution is true, then it is logically possible that other beings exist in the universe farther along the evolutionary scale than humans, the veritable "gods" humans have always worshipped, and in fact, humans are evolving to such a state as well. If these beings exist, they might have interacted with ancient man and influenced our beliefs about God for some grand great purpose that humans were too immature to comprehend at the time. Mankind has technologically advanced greatly in the last 100 years or so, but are we advanced enough in our consciousness to fully assimilate information aliens might bring us about our concepts of God? Are aliens going to openly show themselves one day soon and help mankind understand the mysteries of our and their existence?

On the other hand, many people would be fearful and suspicious of open contact with aliens. The Bible and other ancient religious texts speak of the existence of dark forces of evil that oppose a very real and personal God, and also speak of a great cosmic struggle between a devil and this God. If open contact occurred, would you believe these aliens to be "demons in disguise" trying to deceive mankind for some evil purpose? Or might there be good evolutionary explanations as to why our cosmic "parents" led mankind to believe in the existence of a devil and demons, as well as a God and angels? Read on to help you discover the truth on this matter and prepare you for the future, for like it or not, "The Unveiling" open contact is coming!

Even credible source pentagon admits the UFO phenomenon is real, and STRONG evidence we are not alone, as no man-made craft can do the things these UFOs can do. Quote below:

Nevertheless, Luis Elizondo, the former head of the classified program, told CNN in 2017 that he personally believes "there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone."

"These aircraft -- we'll call them aircraft -- are displaying characteristics that are not currently within the US inventory nor in any foreign inventory that we are aware of," Elizondo said of objects they researched. He says he resigned from the Defense Department in 2017 in protest over the secrecy surrounding the program and the internal opposition to funding it.

The pentagon is not known for hoaxing, and the United States military is still best in the world, and very capable/competent to assess craft violating their airspace as either human threats from another nation, or something non-human. This whole UFO phenomenon directly relates to the origins debate. There can be NO doubt these things are real, so only two credible options for who these beings are: evolution = highly evolved beings, "gods", OR creation = demons (lack evolution time). Which do you believe?

Dennis Gilmour was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, and graduated from the University of Alberta in 1991 with a B.Sc. in Pharmacy. While working on his first book, www.theunveilingbook.com he obtained a degree in computer programming, and combined both these work interests into a career producing pharmaceutical software used across North America. He is a mystic and writer and owner of www.writepharmaparablepublishing.com which produces his fiction book, "The Unveiling: the story of open contact."

Now he focuses on web development of his personal websites: www.theredpilloftruth.com, www.theoriginofgod.com, www.spiritualcharlesdarwin.blog, www.theunveilingbook.com, www.writepharmaparablepublishing.com, and immediate real-time chat with Dennis is often possible at www.theoriginofgod.com/groupchatlink.....

Dennis is not focused so much on paid work anymore, but looking to partner with like minded individuals who see spiritual value in collaborating on making the full truth of God/dess both known AND available to the world through many ways. He has the technical and theological and writing skills to do much of this work on his own and is doing so. Always looking for support though.....

Dennis is a Sophiachristoevolutionist (www.theoriginofgod.com/GodOrigin.html). His faith is one that seeks to merge science ideas with spiritual concepts commonly found in the Bible AND similar concepts found in many ancient writings, such as the Nag Hammadi writings, found in 1945, about the Gnostic Goddess Sophia mythos (https://www.writepharmaparablepublish...).

This author highly suggests to check out www.archaix.com for paradigm shattering historical research in general of not only the Bible, but many ancient texts. I also suggest www.sophianicmyth.org as a good starting place regarding a global re-think about the unifying grand spiritual narrative many humans seem so obsessed to find.

When not writing, Dennis enjoys skiing in the hills of Whistler, reading, and pondering the ancient mysteries of life: who are we, where did we come from and what is the meaning of life? Dennis currently lives in Medicine Hat, Alberta and is working on his next sci-fi novel.

This is a well edited, well done story of a subject it turns out I have no interest in. This is a story discussion of Christianity, religion, heaven, hell, Satan with fake aliens. I made it only 1/3 of the way and decided it was too much proselytizing.

This book started with aliens landing on earth and telling everyone that they had come to earth when it was first starting to show intelligent life. The aliens said they gave some extra help to get the life to evolve faster. One of the things they gave was the feeling of God. There wasn't really a God, the aliens fabricated the story. Most of the book is about how the population handled that.

I will not tell of the rest of the book because I feel this would spoil it. Just say there are many twists and turns that cause humans to make life and death choices.

I enjoyed the book and it was very imaginative.

I won the book, ‘The Unveiling,’ by Dennis R Gilmour in a Goodreads giveaway.

The premise sounded decent enough, aliens show themselves on earth and we find out that they created the idea of God to frighten humans to be good so we could continue down the ‘right path,’ where the aliens wanted us to go.

Well and good, a pretty good sci-fi idea. However, half-way into the book it jumps into some heavy religious theology / philosophy lesson. The characters are obviously working their way through the challenges of their own beliefs and feelings of there being a God, or not, but the book takes an incredibly long time to push the idea around. So much so that it feels that the author is pushing religion on the reader, even if he doesn’t even mean to.

I was so put off that I could not stomach it any longer, so I stopped reading. I wasn’t having fun with the book any more, which is kind of too bad, because I was liking the first third of the book and wanted to find out where the author took it at the end.

Not sure if I was being too sensitive because of my own beliefs, or lack thereof, but it felt too ‘churchy’ to me. Anyway, the writing was pretty good but the story took a turn that I didn’t want to muddle my way through. I made it 46% of the way through the book, so I call that a good effort. I’ll keep an eye out for any future ideas this author puts out. This one just turned out to not be for me. Three stars.

I received this book in a Goodreads Giveaway, for which I am very grateful. The following is my unsolicited and unbiased review.

When I began reading this book, I was under the impression that this was a science fiction novel. And as the story began to unfold, that is what it appeared to be. It didn't take very long, though, to show me that my presumption was incorrect. This is not a book of science fiction; instead, it's a well written novelization of the biblical book of Revelation.

As such, the book is well researched and tightly written. Character development and world development is very good. The storyline brings Revelation to life. I'm not particularly religious, but have read Revelation, and this novelization brings it to life.

I received an advanced copy of this book, via Goodreads giveaway. I am sorry to notice the negativity, as far as this book is concerned. It seems like Goodreads has lowered their standards a bit, over the past several years. Dare I attribute that to Amazon buying or merging with Goodreads?
At any rate, I found this book interesting, and I would certainly recommend it, particularly if you are open-minded, to the subject matter. I found it thought-provoking and entertaining.
I would like to thank both the publisher and author for the gift of this book. Also, I look forward to future books down the line, from Dennis Gilmore

I received this book through a Goodreads giveaway for an honest review.

This book was not what I was anticipating. I was expecting an alien dystopia but instead revived a Christo-Fiction theological “apocalypse” where the book comes off as more preachy than a survival story. I do believe the author writes well and I did complete the book, but I could not get past some the theological arguments. I wasn’t anticipating the heavy religious arguments and I now realize that I personally don’t enjoy the Christo-Fiction genre.

I would also note that this book has some heavy triggers that may not be suitable for all readers. It comes on very quickly and with very little warning and definitely made me stop and take a break.

Book’s trigger warnings: r*pe, in*est, etc.

This book was an exciting & interesting read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, and I personally think it would make a good movie or mini-series. I loved how the author presented the Gospel message within the telling of the story. I believe there will be some who read this that will retain this message, and some may even come to believe in the Lord because of it. It is written like sci-fi, but it includes a lot of truth in it as well. I would read more by this author, and I plan on re-reading this book in the near future. What an awesome book club read this would be!

The book description really drew me in as an exciting sci-fi read on aliens showing up on Earth. About halfway in, the storyline makes an abrupt turn into very scripture heavy religious ideology and a battle between God and Satan.

Ultimately, this book is one person's attempt at explaining how all of the scientific evidence for evolution could fit into a Christian belief system. Oi. Not exactly what I intended to read, but I'm the type of person that likes to see a book through to the end and finish what I started. Really not sure if this one was worth it.

I won The Unveiling in a Goodreads Giveaway. Thank you to the author and publisher; it’s much appreciated. This one just confused me. SFF is a new genre for me so The Unveiling wasn’t an easy place to start. I was simply unable to get into the theology - it was too much of a struggle and I wound up trying way too hard.

Hard to get into this book

I am not much into theology. Found the best way to read it was to pretend I was in different universe and this was like another fiction. The book was written well but could use more action

Review of The Unveiling

I won this book from Goodreads after reading I am to review. This book is not my normal type of book to read. The book starts after the tribulation. The book is about the war between God and Satan.
