About the author

Marc Levy was born in France. When he turned eighteen, he joined the Red Cross, where he spent the next six years. In 1983, he created a computer graphics company based in France and the United States. Six years later, he co-founded an interior design and planning company with two friends; the company soon became one of the leading architecture firms in France.

At thirty-seven, Marc Levy wrote a story for the man that his son would grow up to be. In early 1999, his sister, a screenwriter (now a film director), encouraged him to send the manuscript to a French publisher, who immediately decided to publish If Only It Were True. Before it was published, Steven Spielberg (Dreamworks) acquired film rights to the novel. The movie, Just like Heaven, starring Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo, was a #1 box office hit in America in 2005.

After If Only It Were True, Marc Levy began writing full-time. Since then, he has written 18 novels. His work has been translated into 49 languages and has sold over 40 million copies worldwide.

In addition, Marc Levy has directed a short movie, written short stories and song lyrics for various artists, including Johnny Hallyday.

Le Figaro newspaper recently commissioned a nationwide poll asking the French to rank their favorite author: Marc Levy and Victor Hugo were #1.

A sci-fi romance book?! YES please!

Luke, Josh and Hope are university friends and gifted science students.
They're in the early stages of developing a way to transfer a person's memories and consciousness into code, hoping to build a future where death doesn't have to mean THE END.

When Hope is diagnosed with an incurable illness the three friends go against the odds, ethics and proper testing in an attempt to give her a second chance at life.

Excellent characters! Josh and Hope's relationship was perfectly portrayed and when she became sick I think I was as upset as Josh was. I hoped for the best for them but expected the worst and I loved how the story ended.

At times the flow of the book was off.
A sentence or paragraph didn't match the one before it, or conversations had bits missing. I know this was written in French so maybe some things got lost in translation. Or maybe it's because I read an uncorrected proof. Either way, I just ignored the errors when they happened and it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the story.

Magic! I missed the "magic" Marc Levy books! And this one was definitely in that range... Hope and Josh... their love finding new ways to survive... I am not going to include any spoilers, because I would like each of you to be able to enjoy the wonderful "Marc Levy Experience" without any preconceived ideas! Just LOVED IT!!!!!! And read its circa 400 pages in less than 48 hours (beacuse I have to work, on holiday I believe I would not have stopped!).

Lâu lắm rồi mình mới lại đọc một cuốn tiểu thuyết của Marc Levy. Thú thật là bao lâu nay mình đã gần như lãng quên tác giả người Pháp nổi tiếng này, cho đến một ngày mình đọc được tóm tắt câu chuyện của “Chân trời đảo ngược” – cuốn sách có rating thuộc hàng cao nhất trong số các tác phẩm nào giờ của Marc Levy (4.05 chứ chẳng đùa. Từ trước đến giờ hình như chưa có một tác phẩm nào khác của Marc Levy đạt được đến con số rating 3.9 chứ đừng nói 4.0). Với lại cái bìa màu hồng nhìn đáng yêu quá, thế là mình tậu ngay cuốn này về đọc – một cuốn sách cảm động vô cùng.

“Chân trời đảo ngược” đề cập đến các vấn đề vẫn luôn nằm trong số những chủ đề được bàn luận nhiều nhất của con người: liệu ý thức có thể tồn tại độc lập với cơ thể? Những gì làm nên một con người có bao gồm cơ thể, chức năng sinh lý, nội tạng, dòng máu, DNA không, hay chỉ là những ký ức và ý thức của người đó được lưu trữ trong não bộ? Khi chúng ta yêu một người, liệu chúng ta có thể chỉ yêu phần ý thức của người đó mà không bao gồm cơ thể hay không? Và liệu tình yêu có thể đạo ngược quy luật khắc nghiệt của bệnh tật và cái chết? Tất cả đã được Marc Levy lấy làm cái nền vừa thực vừa ảo cho mối tình khắc cốt ghi tâm của hai nhân vật chính: Josh và Hope.

Mình không bàn đến tính đúng đắn và hợp lý của các thí nghiệm khoa học, kiến thức y khoa được trình bày trong câu chuyện, hay một tương lai nơi điều bất khả trở thành có thể, khi ký ức của con người được sao chép và lưu giữ bên ngoài cơ thể người đó. Vì đơn giản, dù đọc những đoạn ấy bao nhiêu lần thì đầu óc hạn hẹp kiến thức về tầm sâu của bộ não, ý thức và khoa học của mình cũng chả lĩnh hội được mấy :D (nói chung là cũng phục bác Marc Levy vì những khảo sát, nghiên cứu và dẫn chứng của bác ấy khi viết nên cuốn sách này lắm). Điều khiến mình tâm đắc và đau lòng hơn cả, đó chính là tình huống ngặt nghèo mà Hope và Josh đã bị đẩy vào – tình huống thử thách tình yêu và mức độ mạo hiểm của họ để hy vọng vào một ngày được trọn vẹn ở bên nhau.

Mình đã khóc khi thấy Hope dần dần bị căn bệnh ác tính quật ngã, khi khoảng thời gian cô được sống trong thân xác của cô và ở bên Josh chỉ còn tính bằng ngày, khi tưởng chừng như với tuổi trẻ, họ sẽ có cả một cuộc đời dài ở phía trước để yêu nhau, ấy vậy mà số phận éo le lại không cho phép. Và sau đó là giờ khắc giữa lằn ranh sinh tử, khi ván bài mà họ quyết định chơi dưới sự giúp sức của Luke đã quyết định vận mệnh của họ. Mình khóc khi Hope tìm lại được lá thư của Josh giữa cồn cát, lá thư chất chứa biết bao tình cảm của anh dành cho cô, cho cuộc tình của hai người. Và đặt giữa cái tình huống tưởng chừng như bất khả mà họ đã quyết định dấn thân vào, những dòng thư ấy lại khiến mình càng xúc động hơn bao giờ hết.

Cuối cùng thì những người yêu nhau lại trở về bên nhau. Một cái kết có hậu nhưng không hiểu sao vẫn để lại trong mình một dư vị buồn man mác khó tả… Đọc cuốn này xong cái tự dưng muốn được cùng một ai đó thưởng thức một bữa tối nơi cầu tàu ngoài bờ biển, vừa ăn vừa ngắm sao…

À và cũng không hiểu sao, toàn bộ ý tưởng của tác phẩm này, cộng với cái bìa sách màu hồng hồng gợi mình liên tưởng đến một tập phim của series phim truyền hình mình cực kỳ yêu thích là "Black Mirror", tập phim mang tên "San Junipero". Tập phim ấy cũng đề cập đến vấn ý thức/cảm xúc/tư duy của con người vượt ra khỏi khuôn khổ của cơ thể đó. Và cuối cùng thì hai người yêu nhau vẫn trở về bên nhau. Đúng là trùng hợp thật... :))

Au départ, j'ai eu un peu de mal à accrocher à l'histoire, le côté médecine ne me passionnait pas. Et puis, au détour de l'amour si fort de Josh et Hope, je me suis laissée prendre au jeu. À partir de cet instant, impossible de lâcher le roman ! J'ai beaucoup aimé cette lecture, j'ai souris, j'ai pleuré aussi, je suis passée par toutes les émotions et finalement je peux le dire, en plus d'adorer ce roman, j'ai eu l'impression de retrouver le Marc Lévy qui a écrit "Et si c'était vrai". Un pur moment de bonheur !

Interesantă ideea de a trăi din nou, dar și înfricoșător în acelaș timp. Că omul se joacă de-a Dumnezeu nu-i ceva nou, dar totuși să-ți copiezi memoria și să o implantezi 40 de ani mai târziu în creierul unei alte persoane mi se pare dureros pentru familia celuilalt.

I AM SPEECHLESS
I knew I’d like this book, but I’ve never imagined I’d love it this much!! When I got to 70% I was happy with what I’ve just read and I was almost sure that the book was finished and that another book was starting because I had no clue what was happening - that was the case for another 10% and then it hit me!! And oh my goodness THAT ENDING! I won’t say anything else, you just have to find out for yourself!

Multă știință, medicină, dragoste, prietenie, timp efemer și moarte.

Răvășitorul roman știțifico-fantastic “Orizontul răsturnat” de către Marc Levy portretizează perfect aceste ipostaze ale vieții.

Josh, Luke și Hope sunt studenți la universitatea de Medicina, facultatea de neuroștiință. Între cei trei există o legătura strânsă, iar povestea lor prinde contur atunci când Josh și Luke, fiind studenți finanțați de Centrul Științific Longview în schimbul descoperirilor și devotamentului lor pentru Centru, creează un program “Neurolink”, ce permitea copierea unei memorii umane și stocarea acesteia într-un program, ulterior reușind să “reînvieze” și să permită nemurirea. Cum se întâmpla acest lucru ? Prin faptul că memoria sentimentală (sau altfel spus subconștientul) ar fi fost stocată și reinjectată/reînviată în orice corp compatibil și viu după gene, dar inert din punctul de vedere al subconștientului ce-a încetat să mai existe. Această a două viață, putea fi fezabilă numai dacă persoana în cauză era de acord cu transferarea subconștientului său și dacă era dispusă să-și salveze anual sau lunar memoria sa actuală pentru a fi păstrată.
Experminetul era la început doar o utopie indusă de neuroștiință, însă această utopie devine realitate când cei trei studenți încep a-și materializa ideea, salvând prima memorie în program, astfel dovedindu-se, mai târziu, cu succes. Experimentul a decurs mai întâi pe Josh, apoi pe Hope. De unde și se întoarce orizontul pentru ei. Înregistrându-i memoria lui Hope au observat un lucru străin pe creierul ei, o tumoare avansată, rămânându-i foarte puțin timp să trăiască. Așadar cei trei fac tot posibilul să-i salveze toată memoria rămasă și hotărăsc să o criogenizeze. Ca să o păstreze în viață și să o dezghețe când se va fi descoperit ceva împotriva cancerului cerebral. Însă multe lucruri au fost imprevizibile și necalculate încât Hope rămâne criogenizată și salvată pe un stick mai bine de 30 de ani. Când se trezește nu își poate aminti nimic, fiindcă se trezește dintr-o lungă comă în pielea lui Melody, iar unicul lucru pe care-l are acum cu ea din trecut e o memorie bulversată si multă suferință inexplicabilă, dar palpabilă. Ea a dormit un somn profund și scurt, dar lumea a evoluat, alte tehnologii au apărut și mulți dintre cei dragi ei au dispărut. Prin urmare, Melody începe să sape în trecutul său, își pune întrebări, vrea să-și amintească cine este și de ce nu își poate aminti nimic.
Ce s-a întâmplat cu Josh ? Cum s-a realizat acest transfer si unde e adevărata Melody ? După mai bine de 30 de ani, au mai existat beneficiari ai programului ?

Incurabila boală a lui Hope, scrie istorie pentru cei doi îndrăgostiți și toți cei implicați în program. Povestea îndrăgostiților unică și irepetabilă, dar și vulnerabilitatea poveștii m-au impresionat. Sacrificiile lor și dedicarea pentru dragostea aceasta sunt inexplicabile, probabil. Nu cred că-mi pot exprima pe deplin amalgamul de sentimente pe care-l simt acum, după finisarea cărții, căci este emoționantă, confuză (dar și benignă luând în vedere că se citește rapid) datorită felului în care personajele sunt și vii, si neânsuflețite în același timp, asta o face destul de ambiguă, dar în final capătă sens.

Trebuie să recunosc însă, că la început primele aproximativ o sută și ceva de pagini, cartea mi se părea banală și legată de un simplu trio de prieteni, dar o dată cu momentul culminant de criogenizare, totul a fost imprevizibil, grav și captivant. Iar încheierea cărții m-a ținut cu sufletul la gură, dar și-a meritat timpul.
Cartea este pură ficțiune, dar femeia criogenizată și unele date științifice sunt produsul realității, fapt extrem de trist dacă ajungi să citești cartea și să relaționezi cu realitatea și ceea ce i s-a întâmplat adevăratei femei criogenizate până în prezent, realizând cât de crude pot fi lucrurile.

Two neuroscience students, Josh and Luke, are working on a revolutionary project: a software that can create a digital map of a person's brain's connections. Therefore, not only a person's memories can be stored but also their personality and feelings.

They met Hope at the beginning of their studies. From that moment, the three of them became inseparable, and after a while Josh and Hope started a relationship and she also joined the project.

Meeting Hope caused a change in the project. It seemed even more important than before for Josh and Luke. Their friend suffered a severe illness and it made them work harder to make this work. They needed to get a full map of Hope's brain in order to keep her alive.

The story is fascinating. It made wonder about so many things. Would it be possible to continue living just by storing our digital brain's map? Would one be the same person after transferring all this information to an "empty" brain? Wouldn't our "essence" be lost? Maybe death is another essential step in our lives, and we shouldn't interfere with it. The questions and ideas keep on and on.

Nói sao nhỉ?!....
Đây là một cuốn sách tuyệt hay...nếu trước giờ tui chưa đọc tác phẩm nào khác của Marc Levy hay Musso hay Nicholas Spark...(tui tự ý cho phép mình đánh đồng dòng văn học của 3 tác giả này giống nhau).

Càng ngày cá nhân tui thấy cả 3 tác giả này càng ngày viết càng đuối và dần đi theo lối mòn.
Tuy nhiên truyện của Marc Levy vẫn bị tui đánh giá thấp nhất trong cả 3 tác giả trên (thành thật xin lỗi fan của Marc Levy)...biết tại sao ko...tác phẩm của Marc Levy thiếu 1 chút kịch tính so với Musso, thiếu 1 chút hợp lý trong cách xây dựng tình cảm của các tuyến nhân vật so với Nicholas Sparks. Thành thật mà nói ngoại trừ bộ đôi Nếu em không phải một giấc mơ - Gặp lại, dễ tính 1 chút nữa thì Kiếp sau thì chưa có tác phẩm nào của bác khiến tôi ấn tượng thật sự.

Nói cụ thể về Chân trời đảo ngược, có 1 số vấn đề từ nhỏ nhỏ đến to to...
Đáng khen là cốt truyện của Chân trời đảo ngược khá độc đáo, tuy nhiên, cái độc đáo này ko giữ được đến cùng....tầm tới 60% cuốn sách là sự đuối dần lộ ra...bắt đầu quay lại các mô típ cũ: tình yêu sâu đậm khiến 2 nhân vật chính Josh - Hope quên cả trời đất, tình bạn thân thiết của Josh - Luke hi sinh bao che cho nhau, tình cảm cha con Sam - Hope tuy khắc khẩu nhưng luôn sâu sắc, tuổi thơ ko mấy hạnh phúc của 1 trong 2 nhân vật chính...

Mà cái khiến tui thất vọng nhất là tình yêu của 2 nhân vật chính - đây là một câu chuyện mà từ ban đầu, mọi thứ đã rất dễ dàng: gặp nhau, yêu nhau sâu đậm sau một thời gian ngắn, hiểu nhau đến từng tế bào, ko có người thứ 3, ko xích mích tranh cãi, 2 người thề non hẹn biển và ko rời bỏ nhau khi gặp biến cố...bla...bla...đọc chậm ngẫm kĩ và dựa vào cảm giác, đối với tui, đây là một tình yêu hoặc là đã bị lí tưởng hóa như trong truyện cổ tích, hoặc là tác giả cố tình tạo sự phi thực tế như là 1 cách gây ấn tượng mạnh. Cái tình yêu này nó cứ nhàn nhạt, cứ quá hoàn hảo, cứ quá lí tưởng nhưng lại ko tạo được lòng tin là Josh sẵn sàng hi sinh cuộc sống - chờ để gặp lại Hope sau 40 năm như tác giả đã xây dựng...Lần đầu tiên tui đọc mà cảm thấy dàn nhân vật phụ còn hay ho và ấn tượng hơn cả 2 nhân vật chính :<

Bên cạnh đó, có vài điều khá đáng khen như tui thích cách Marc Levy xây dựng các nhân vật nữ chính của ông: cá tính, mạnh mẽ, độc lập và thông minh...ko bị lép vế so với nam chính. Bên cạnh đó, các đề tài về khoa học ông dùng làm nguyên liệu cho các tác phẩm cũng khá hay.

Nhưng cuối cùng, nói chung thì Chân trời đảo ngược chỉ ở mức khá vì cốt truyện chứ ko phải vì các nhân vật chính trong cốt truyện đó...Dù sao đi nữa, sự trở lại lần này cũng gây ra một nỗi thất vọng con con trong tui...

Przepiękna historia o życiu, śmierci i miłości. Powiedzenie, że miłość jest w stanie przetrwać nawet śmierć nabiera w tej książce zupełnie nowego wymiaru. Tak genialna, że nie da się tego opisać słowami. Zakochałam się w tej książce od początku, każde słowo było rozkoszą dla duszy, dlatego przeciągałam czytanie jej tak długo, jak było to możliwe. Za żadną cenę nie chciałam się rozstawać z tą historią. Po jej skończeniu czułam, że nic już nie będzie takie samo. I choć cieszę się, że już znam zakończenie tej historii, to myśl, że muszę się pożegnać z tymi bohaterami łamie mi serce. Pozostaje mi napisać tylko jedno: przeczytajcie to.

Un très bon Mar Levy. L'Amour plus fort que la mort et l’amitié ? C'est ce que tente de nous démontrer l'auteur, en se basant sur des avancées scientifiques à peine croyables, en s'inspirant d'une histoire vraie. J'espère que les personnes qui ont influencé cette histoire, rencontreront leur Marc Levy pour connaître un Happy end.
Je me suis laissée piéger par l'histoire. Le milieu scientifique et une belle histoire d'amour que demander de plus ???

J'ai bien aimé l'idée mais je regrette que Marc Levy ne sorte pas plus souvent de sa zone de confort (deux êtres qui s'aiment passionnément au-delà de la vie, de la mort, du destin, et qui ont droit à un joyeux happy end). Et je regrette malheureusement le manque de profondeur des personnages !
Après cela reste toujours une lecture agréable ^^

Soulagée ! Je suis soulagée d'avoir enfin terminé ce livre. Si habituellement il me faut entre 1 jour et une semaine pour lire un livre, il m'a fallu presque trois semaines pour lire celui-ci ! Il s'agit de mon premier Levy, et si je dis reconnaître que l'idée de départ est belle et originale, j'ai trouvé beaucoup trop de longueurs à ce livre. Tout d'abord, le résumé nous parle d'un évènement n'ayant lieu qu'après la centième page... et autant vous dire que lorsqu'on pense commencer un livre en croyant que l’événement en question va arriver très vite, le temps est long. Deuxièmement, je n'ai pas vraiment aimé la deuxième partie du livre, c'était beaucoup trop prévisible à mon goût, bien qu'encore une fois certains passages m'aient touchés. Une petite déception, moi qui attendais beaucoup de ce livre après être tombée amoureuse du résumé.

Je suis mitigée..j'ai bien aimé certains passages, d'autres pas du tout. Contrairement à la majorité le début m'a scotché (c'est peut-être du au fait que je sois médecin). Ce coté scientifique, intelligence artificielle, neurosciences etc m'a beaucoyp plus..tout en restant pointu, l'auteur a su vulgariser le tout pour que même les plus "profanes" ne se sentent pas "out-of-element". Ce qui est du reste, la romance, le pseudo-triangle amoureux, l'amour qui transcende le temps et la mort toussa toussa j'ai pas aimé du tout. Aucune originalité, aucune surprise, aucune profondeur, personnages plats comme tout, schémas classiques, fin prévisible. Ce n'était pas pour autant une lecture désagréable, tout au contraire..mais j'aurais tellement..tellement voulu que ça me plaise plus!

J'ai beaucoup aimé le concept et l'histoire est vraiment prenante. Je lui aurais donné au moins 4 étoiles si la fin ne posait pas un vrai problème éthique qui au final détruit complètement la morale des personnages. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi il faille qu'ils volent la deuxième chance d'autres personnes pour se retrouver au lieu d'attendre simplement le corps de quelqu'un en mort cérébrale sans sauvegarde comme l'a fait Alvin. C'est vraiment cette incohérence qui me pose un énorme problème de cohérence. C'est très théorique, mais ça s'apparent à du meurtre et aucun des personnages ne semble ne serait-ce qu'un tant soit peu gêné par cette idée. Melly n'était peut-être pas la meilleure personne au monde, mais pourquoi se voit-elle refuser la chance de renaître? Les premiers dialogues entre Josh et Hope me posent également problème. Ils donnent l'impression d'être surfaits, en décalage avec les personnages. Au final un livre que j'aurais beaucoup plus apprécié sans la fin.

L’horizon à l’envers de Marc Levy est une magnifique histoire d’amour semée d’embûches mais dans laquelle les sentiments triomphent. Roman fondé sur les progrès scientifiques, nous suivons les recherches et avancées d’un trio hors du commun et particulièrement talentueux. Bien plus que de simples protagonistes qui nous dévoilent leur vie au fil des chapitres, Hope, Josh et Luke sont tellement attachants et bouleversants qu’on les considère petit à petit comme nos propres amis. L’intrigue est, elle aussi, parfaitement menée et nous encourage à nous questionner sur de grands sujets tels que l’amitié, la mort et l’avancée médicale, mais nous pousse surtout à garder espoir en l’avenir et en l’amour indéfectible. En définitive, ce roman est innovant et émouvant, vous faisant passer du rire aux larmes en un rien de temps. Vous ne ressortirez pas indifférents d’une telle lecture !

Il y avait un moment que je n'avais lu un Marc Levy. À un certain point j'en avais tant lu que j'avais besoin d'une pause! J'ai eu grand bonheur à le retrouver avec L'horizon à l'envers. L'histoire débute lentement mais prends tout son sens vers le milieu du récit. Une douce histoire qui se lit bien et qui fait du bien 🩷

i,,,, did not expect to give L’horizon à l’envers more than 2 stars but here we are.

hope, the main character, was so unbearable at first. this girl was so fake woke, i actually laughed out loud a few times. she’s the first person to scream bloody murder because of sexism but then slut-shamed literally e v e r y single women who she crossed path with???. like really, every single one of them. reduced them to their boobs, calling them « betty boobs », saying that basically because they were pretty they could neVER be into science etc..

but,,,, at some point she, josh and luke,,,, grew on me? i was genuinely sad for them and rooting for them to meet again at the end.

hope and josh’s relationship was,,,,, so healthy??? it was so unexpected, i almost shed a tear. i was really rooting for them. see, i don’t hate romance when it’s cute!!!!!

also, i really liked the whole science side of the book.

ps: simon is real ass adorable but the ending is supposed to be like 40 years in the future and??? people still have to be in the closet??? and come out??? :///// damn, how long do we have to wait until heteronormativity is not a thing anymore

Chắc mình mất hơn một tháng để đọc quyển này, lần đầu tiên mình đọc là năm 2019 nhưng nửa đầu của truyện diễn biến khô khan, những cuộc hội thoại của Josh, Hope và Luke có lúc quá nhanh, lại quá đột ngột khiến mình bị dội.
Ngoài ra, có lẽ những chi tiết về khoa học thần kinh là quá cao cấp và xa lạ với người đọc và với cả tác giả nữa, nên ông tốn quá nhiều trang giấy để giải thích về những kỹ thuật, những giả thuyết, những thí nghiệm, mà điều đó chỉ khiến cuốn sách khô khan hơn mà thôi.
Về nửa sau, đoạn hơi rung động trái tim mình một chút có lẽ là những khi Josh và Hope yêu nhau, đến Nantucket, đến ngọn hải đăng và khi Josh chôn chiếc vali bí mật cho Hope.
Nhưng về cuộc đời của Melody, hay gọi là Melly, liệu cô có xứng đáng không? Khi mà cơ thể của cô lại bị Hope chiếm lấy, hay đúng hơn là do Luke và Josh lập trình Neurolink để nó tự cấy ý thức của Hope vào cơ thể người phù hợp. Sự xuất hiện của gia đình Melly và Simon, và chính bản thân Melly, có chăng chỉ là một bước đệm, một sự thay thế tạm thời để Hope quay lại.
Kể từ sau khi đọc đến đoạn Melly thì mình không thể nào thông cảm được cho Hope và Josh nữa, dù cho chuyện tình của họ có cảm động đến đâu, nhưng chỉ nên dừng ở hy vọng gặp lại Hope thì theo mình là đủ.

Another whimsical romantic novel from Marc Levy. I really don’t understand how he keeps getting away with his implausible storylines, but somehow he does, and I always find his books entertaining and compelling – even if I do have to put my critical faculties to one side and just go along for the ride. In this one, set in Massachusetts, we meet Luke, Josh and Hope, neuroscience students, who become close friends and then later Josh and Hope fall in love. Their world is turned upside down when Hope is diagnosed with a brain tumour, but maybe, just maybe, their radical and revolutionary neuroscience experiments will find a solution. Engaging and touching, the plot certainly stretches the reader’s credibility and the love story element is definitely a bit schmaltzy, but nevertheless as a story of love and loss it works pretty well, with a good sprinkling of thought-provoking neuroscience added in to the mix, and although I don’t think this is one of Levy’s best it’s definitely a good read.

1 tác phẩm thuộc style kinh điển của Marc Levy, phiêu lưu, khoa học, giả tưởng, yêu nhau tìm thấy nhau sau 1 sự cố nào đó.

Nhưng tình tiết chưa thật sự gay cấn và có nút thắt, lời văn và mọi thứ cứ đều đều, vẫn có điểm hay điểm lạ nhưng quá ít so với 1 quyển tiểu thuyết mấy trăm trang như vậy.

Fan của ML, nên đọc vì cốt truyện cũng chưa từng có về việc "ướp não, ướp trí nhớ" người như trong quyển này.

Người mới bắt đầu đọc, nên đọc luôn vì sẽ thích, còn mình đã đọc qua những tác phẩm hay hơn của bác ấy nên quyển này mình đánh giá ko cao bằng :)

Le livre se divise en deux parties: Hope et Melody. Quand vous finissez avec la première, vous êtes déjà tellement attachés aux deux protagonistes (Josh et Hope) qu'il sera fort difficile de supporter leur absence dans la deuxième partie, alors qu'ils sont toujours là, ils sont là perplexes et métamorphosés, mais amoureux.
Ici, la science est semblable au doux baiser que l'on donne à son amour (dans les dessins animés) pour lui redonner la vie, et après tout rien ne peut résister au pouvoir de l'amour.

J'ai lue 300 pages et j'ai décider d'arrêter là, ca fait 2 semaines que j'essaie de le lire. J'aime comment l'auteur ecrit, mais l'histoire est si longue pour rien et elle n'est pas assez captivante a mes yeux.
