Jakkar
After losing all of our females, I hadn't thought life could get any worse until I'm stripped of my crown and exiled by my very own twin brother. With my world in turmoil, my spirit mate crashed into my life when I needed her the most. She is not of Valose but a stranger from another world. Newly awakened, my ancillary heart beats for one reason only—to keep her safe. Now I must protect her from old enemies as well as new yet what came with her poses a unique danger that can't be fought with swords. There's nothing I wouldn't do for her. Unfortunately, what she wants the most will tear apart my very soul.

Lily
I thought the abduction had been bad enough, but the crash-landing nearly killed me. Stranded on an alien world, all I wanted was to find a way to get myself and the other girl's home. When the solution presented itself in the form of a kilt-wearing, hopeless romantic with serious muscles, sexy elf ears, and the belief that soul mates truly exist…Well, I'm no longer in a huge rush to leave.

Better than I expected!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🤎💜❤️
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌏
Character development: 😠☺️😋😎🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Lily - she found out her fiance had been cheating on her, then was abducted by aliens who drugged her, put her nearly naked in an electrified cage and performed medical experiments on her and the other human woman in cages around her. When the spaceship she was on crash landed, she wanted nothing more than to find a way back to Earth.

The Hero: Jakkar - He was on his planet, Valose in a watch tower when he saw a massive vessel crash nearby. He and some of his friends go to check it out, not knowing what they would find at the site. He had been a prince that was banished from the palace by his twin brother and now lives with others in a settlement far from the city, and with them is a spy for his twin, Rayyar whom Jakkar has to play dumb with and pretend he doesn’t know that Rayyar is a traitor.

The Story: Jakkar and the people that follow him live in the ruins of an abandoned city while watching as their world goes to crap. Most of their people live in the big city under a dome which is starting to fail. The dome keeps them safe and many of the people have become lazy, Jakkar’s brother having cancelled all warrior training after the dome was in place. Though Jakkar and his men keep up on their training. When they reach the crash site to scavenge the vessel, he finds human women and knows immediately that Lily is his spirit mate when his ancillary heart starts beating.

The story was good, but derivative at first. Like many other alien romances, this one had all the females on the planet eradicated. This time it was by an alien germ that Jakkar’s brother brought back after traveling the galaxy. Also, I don’t know why all these alien romance books have to have a warrior or barbarian race. I just want more where the aliens are more technologically advanced than us.

The story got much better as it went along and I was surprised at how good it turned out to be. The storyline about Jakkar and his brother was very interesting and I liked the fact that the aliens who stole the human females at the beginning had mind control abilities.

This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Macie Miller and Marcus Rayne. Macie Miller has a nice voice but sounds like she is trying to hard to portray genuine emotions, or she is overacting. I liked Marcus Rayne’s voice and he did a better job though his cadence was a bit too similar to Macie’s.

Yeah, I don't know about this one...

The story was okay. A little bit of a hot mess. It was very insta-love. It was a fated mates on behalf of the alien H, though the h threw out "I love you"s with no real relationship building. I mean it only took place over the span of a couple days. And with so much catastrophe/action going on there wasn't much of a chance for any relationship growth.

The biggest problem I had, what irked me the most, was the authors making up all these alien words for things that were almost identical for the corresponding English word. How lazy! It's like I'm gonna take the time to do this work intensive thing, but do it the easiest corner cutting way as possible. Why even do it. When we're reading an inner monologue by the alien he wouldn't think in terms that would need translating, and when he's speaking it's actually getting translated by the translators. They could have come up with crazy names for animals and such and had the human characters explain what they were when they saw them which did happen a couple times. That would have been fine.

I was surprised how irritated I got over this but the more and more it went on it completely took me out of the story by the ridiculousness of it. For example: millose=miles, munthis=months, mims=minutes, secs=seconds, hurs=hours, sunsrises=because two suns, fates=feet, yerons=years, metalloid=metal, kiltus=kilts, solitarium=solitary confinement, penitentrium=penitentiary, etc. It even rolled over into the alien wildlife: rynoses=rhinoceros like animal, rexose=T-rex like animal, flites=flies, and so on. As I kept reading these words over and over, it really made it less alien and more letdown. I mean the chance that an alien language would evolve to be so similar to ours would be out of this world, pun intended.

I'm aggravated because I liked the male characters introduced in this book. Many of the women were terrible. Also another thing that aggravated me was one of the women was super nasty to this one guy, under the guise of secretly really liking him, and even getting jealous when he interacted with other women. This went on almost the whole book, including the woman starting to hang out with another guy to try to make the first dude jealous. All to switch at the end to have the second guy she was using to make first guy jealous end up being her fated mate. I was so confused, I actually thought the authors had gotten the male characters mixed up because their names were Aggar and Daggar. The choices these authors made left me scratching my head. Even though we're left on a big cliffhanger and three of the women hang in the balance, I don't know if I want to read it more than I'm willing to be aggravated. Especially since the next book is for the nasty woman and second choice dude. *Rolls eyes and shrugs.

**3.8/5 stars**

What a nice little start to a series. I've had this book in my kiddle library for quite some time, but never really found the time or the interest to pick it up. I had completely forgotten about it until I decided to skim through my library. I don't regret picking it up, I really had a good time reading this. Even if it was a simple plot, I liked that the story didn't solely center itself on the romance.

In this book, we follow Lily, who wakes up in a cage on a spaceship, along with about twenty other women, with no memory of how she got there and how to get out. When the spaceship meets turbulences and crashes on Valose, an alien planet, their only hope is to trust the native aliens who happen to be investigating the wreckage.

First, I’d found out my fiancé had been cheating on me, then I had been abducted by aliens, and finally—the icing on my shitstorm cake—I survived a spaceship crash-landing. Yet, after all of that, I would meet my demise, being shocked to death by the very bars that held me captive.-Lily

I really liked Lily, she was brave and very composed for the most part. She assumed the unspoken role of leader to the women's group who seemed to be relying on her the most. At first, I wasn't sure of her as the ''leader'' but she proved herself very kind, caring and resilient. She would calm the group and try to explain things at the right moment. Honestly, she was a nice character to follow. The only little thing that bugged me was that she didn't ask Jakkar many questions on what it really entailed to mate with him. Her first time with him felt a little bit reckless, but overall, it didn't cause major problems.

"When I first saw you in the cargo hold defending the women despite your injury, your ferocity spoke volumes to me."-Jakkar

As for Jakkar, I liked how quickly drawned he was to Lily. He became very aware of her, always watchful and protective. He was also a little bit possessive when it came to other males being too close to her. He never really shyed away from the interest he had in her, and he was mostly straightforward when mentioning his Spirit Mate attraction. Speaking of which, I looooved the fact that Valosians have an ancillary (secondary) heart that awakes and only beats for their Spirit Mate. Super cute concept. Other than that, I thought Jakkar was a good leader and a very good lover. Attentive and gentle with Lily.

She stepped forward and touched the center of my chest. I immediately began to thrum, singing to her spirit while vibrating the palm of her hand. My ancillary heart, the one that beat solely for her, pounded against my sternum at her touch.-Jakkar

If I had one complaint, it would be that I felt like the connection between Jakkar and Lily happened too quickly. Or rather, since it's a Fated Mates trope, the insta-love was fairly normal from Jakkar's side, but I wish Lily had taken longer to warmup to him, being physically different. I wish there was a little bit more longing if that makes sense; for them to deepen their bond. Other than that, a very satisfactory read!

I think it's important to mention that these are not standalones. It seems to me that each book follow a different couple throughout a linear plot; picking up where the last one left off, with slight cliffhangers. So I believe it's crucial to read them in order, else you might get confused in the timeline and the events past, present and upcoming. Characters are introduced as more than just sub-characters. They were given enough personality for me to be curious about their own book coming, some that I really can't wait to get to. So will I pursue reading this series? Absolutely.

The main character, Lily, an Earth woman with memories of a cheating fiancé and a best friend named Amy. Immediately finds herself abducted by aliens along with several other women and her best friend. Lily comes to terms with her situation and is thrusted into the role of leader quickly. As the only one to get out of her cage during a spaceship crash, she tries to free all the other women before being found out by her captors. Her efforts result in a broken foot and running into Jakkar.

Jakkar is the former Sia (King) of Clan Huren. Unsurped by his brother, Sakkar, he is still acknowledged by some to be the true ruler of the Valosian people. The Valosian people are an alien planet of all male Valose warriors with prominent and sexy elfin like features that include smelling great, having pointed ears, and silver-blue or white skin, scales, and hair. Once the Velose find a soul mate, they emit low-level vibrations similar to a soothing melody and of course remain faithful for all times to her. When Jakkar meets Lily its insta-love with him knowing that she is his soul mate despite being from a foreign planet.

My first gripe with this book was the weird obsession the heroine had with her best friend. I understand Lily is alone on a strange planet and having her friend there is comforting. But I did not think their friendship added anything to the story. Amy spends the majority of the book being passed out, confused, or injured. At minimum her very presence near Lily wastes much needed space in this story. She could have easily been replaced with another character like Marie. At least demote her from “best friend” status to just another female that was captured.

My second issue with this book was Marie herself. I don’t think I’ve read a character that was so one dimensional for the sake of acting as the stereotypical “mean-bitch” of the group. I did not find her character believable, amusing, or funny. She went from scared to just being 100% terrible and unrealistically sarcastic to the N-th degree. The book keeps trying to justify it but how can you when she is directing her anger at the very people who save her time and time again?

My last issue with this book was the romance. This book was written in a way where the action took center stage. As a result, none of the interactions between Jakkar and Lily seem like they develop a strong believable romance. These two suffer from the fated mates syndrome where they want to be with each other because their hormones tell them to do so. By the end of the book, I had little idea why these two made for a good couple other than excellent sex and Lily needing a savior from the harsh primitive life forms on the planet they inhabited. In my opinion, the book needed to provide situations outside of the wilderness that emphasized some sort of courtship process. After all, Jakkar is royalty…

Overall, this book is for people that need more diversity in their alien heroes, as elf men are the main draw here and that is a rare occurrence. Do not read this book if you do not like alien jargon, typos, women needing to be saved multiple times, quick sex scenes, and secondary characters that seemingly serve no purpose.

I really expected this to be another Ice Planet Barbarians (Ice Planet Barbarians, #1) by Ruby Dixon and to start off it was. However, it quickly went off with it's own story line, though there were a lot of similarities with the characters, especially Marie/Liz, Georgie/Lily.
There was much more conflict here though. Jakkar and his brother obviously have some issues, but there's obviously hope considering those gray guys are controlling him. It does make me wonder about all the people who sided with him. Are they being controlled as well?
And what is going on with Layla? I didn't like her to begin with, but the last betrayal was surprising. I really didn't think she would actually do anything. She seemed more the type to sit around and do nothing, even bad. And where did the rubella come from? Why did it only affect the female? convenient for the romance plot. lol

No spoilers of any kind included.
Silver Savage was pretty amazing and I am going to leave it at that so I don’t give away any of the hidden goodies within this book.
But I will say this and that is Silver Savage is the beginning of a awesome new series.
So yep I most definitely do recommend this book.

What an interesting read, I didn’t want to put it down. Lily is willing to go through anything to help the girls she was imprisoned with. When the girls are saved it is a long process to get to safety, everything and everyone seems to be out to kill them. Luckily, their alien rescuers have the technology and knowledge to get them to perceived safety. Lilly is unsure of Jakkar, but knows she needs to trust him, to see what will develop.

The language differences were very well portrayed, and realistic to the misunderstandings someone who is learning English would have. I also enjoyed the strong women portrayed in the book. I highly recommend this book.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

"Thrumming?" He laughed a little. "It's my spirit singing to yours." "That's a beautiful thing to say." "It is a song only for my spirit mate." Jakkar peered down at me with such reverence; I would swear I was the only person left in the world. "Each is a unique serenade of courtship. Once the spirit finds its match in another, the male thrums to let the female know he is ready to couple with her."

I really wanted to like this book but I just found myself struggling.

It might have just been my mood but I found myself skimming a lot. And I took several breaks to read other books before I finished it, which is a bit silly because it's a short book.

I didn't care at all about the action scenes, of which there was a lot of them. Also I really didn't care that much about all the plot with her best friend. I would have rather had more relationship building between the main characters or some more smut instead.

Overall the plot was so similar to Ice Planet Barbarians I felt myself thinking several times I should just read an IBP instead, although the aliens were definitely smexy in a different way.

Captive human women that were being taken by other creepy aliens to be sold for who knows what, crash land on a technology behind planet (although not as backwards as IPB). True mates, but instead it's an auxiliary heart that starts up when they see their mate, but it still has the effect of purring. Which I'm not saying isn't cute, but it's a lot of different similarities all together. Also all of the females in the whole planet have recently died, so they really need these females. 7 foot tall silver giant muscular guys with fangs, although with elf ears and kilts. Yummmy, but not yummy enough to make up for the rest of the story.

I think if there had been less adventure/drama happening and more smut I would have been way happier.

4terrific 🌟s one of my favorite colors is silver😘😘😘

Gorgeous noble sexy built silver warriors of Valose. Exiled wrongly, surviving on their own after a terrible disease took the females from their planet. Once a king of his people Jakkar strives to do right by the warriors who followed him into exile. On a reconnaissance mission they come across an alien vessel when they begin to salvage it they come across a room filled with caged human females. One look at Lilly and Jakkar new in both his hearts he found his spiritmate. Lilly, her best friend and 18 other human women were abducted from Earth by the very scary grey area 51 type aliens . These aliens are pure evil ,cruel and can bend others to their will. They've taken these human women for a purpose and it isn't good. Before they can fulfill their plan they crash land many of the girls did in their cages but 8 strong women survive . When trying to get the surviving women out of their cages Lilly comes face to face with the most handsome male she has ever seen. The attraction is instant and she enjoys the fee!ing of safety Jakkar brings her. As they cross a dangerous planet, with animals and plants out to kill them their bond grows stronger. The world building begins to weave a tale of deception, sibling rivalry , conquest and the true reality of soulmates. It feels like each story in the series will reveal more and more of the dangers that surround this world.love and passion will take center stage among the action and adventure. Great chemistry between the characters and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author😍💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

This book needed an editor. Badly. Besides various grammatical errors, the spelling issues abounded. References to Spock from Star Trek as “Spoke” being the most notable. Though there were more of these issues. Also. The Valose used a good deal of humanoid phrases. Doesn’t make them sound alien at all. Example: MC Jakkar gently jokes with a companion and refers to this exchange as “pulling his chain.” This sounds so very not-alien it takes one out of the setting.

Really. Edit!

This book had me glued to the edge of my seat it was a brilliantly written book and all the characters where amazing. I really like that it doesn’t matter what race you are because if you are fated mates it’s in your heart and soul. Lily was abducted by evil grey aliens along with her best friend Amy and 18 other women that are now held captive in cages in a cargo hold. And when they crash landed Lily managed to break free but with a broken ankle but she is determined to free the others. Jakkar is meant to king after his father died but his twin Sakkar has other plans and has him exiled and now with the men that followed him they have set up a settlement away from the city. After seeing what they think is an asteroid they investigate and find that it is a spaceship but they are not the only ones interested in the crash site, once entering they come across a whole heap of cages with female aliens in them and one trying to protect them all but she is injured and she won’t back down she is a true warrior and I know she is mine and the pull to take her is so strong but how can I take her when she doesn’t understand or believe in fated mates. This book got better and better the further I got into it and I cannot wait for the next book. This is a must read you want be disappointed in this book.

Silver Savage is a brilliant sci-fi romance that had me enthralled from the very first page. The vivid imagination of Iona Storm took me to a faraway planet that could have only been in my wildest dreams. I was captivated by Lily and Jakkar and how the author created such believable characters, even though one of them was an alien!

Not only did Ms. Storm create a world in which both human and aliens could survive, she did it brilliantly! I loved the tiny changes in the wording like hurs instead of hours so we knew exactly what she meant. It was the attention to detail like this that made it a joy to read.

I highly recommend Silver Savage to all Sci-fi romance lovers. It was an incredible first book and now I can't wait to read, Silver Seducer! Who would have thought that silver aliens could be so Sexy???

First book in an intense sci-fi series. Women have been abducted from earth. But why take them? Lily is one of those women and soon finds herself helping to lead them and hopefully save them. When they find themselves on another world they will have to trust the natives if they want to survive. This world is far more dangerous than earth. The story has plenty of adventure and action as it seems everything is out to kill or capture them. This is only the beginning of their story and will leave you wanting to know what could possibly happen next.

3.5 stars. There were a lot of elements in the story that were reminiscent of other SF series I've read. I'm sure it's not easy to come up with a completely original theme, but the "virus wiped out all the female population" is getting a bit tiresome. Still, I liked it enough to buy book two.

I absolutely LOVED this alien species. Muscular Elves with fangs, camouflage skin abilities, and FREAKING EARS THAT ROTATE TO SOUNDS?!?? I. can't. even. I'm done for. Stick a fork in me. The description of these aliens is HOT.

Now, these women are pseudo double abducted, because they get abducted and then "rescued". So they are at the mercy of the rescuers on an alien planet, and all is far from perfect. We never really figure out why they crashed in the first place, but there is a background plot going on here, so be patient, my guess is that it will unfold in subsequent books.

I really loved the story in this book. The heroine pretty much runs on piss and vinegar for the first half of the book (because she needs to!) and once she's able to mellow out, the rest of the women start to freak out on her. That's to be expected when one it abducted. Everyone reacts differently. The alien males are so nice and sweet to the women, and I'm curious to see if they are all Cinnamon Rollie, or if there is an Alpha tendency that can come through the fated-mate connection, also. I'm looking forward to the new release coming up!

I am a huge fan of Ms Strom's first alien warriors series, and was excited to discover she was releasing a new one. Silver Savage grabbed my attention immediately, the scenario intriguing.

The story starts with a bang - in more ways than one - and the fast pace continues, with such extraordinary attention to detail, that I can envisage every scene with ease.
How people create these alien worlds and characters, even down to inevitable language barriers and how they are overcome, is beyond me!

Now I am hanging out for the sequel! Excellent read.

This book was written from a dual perspective, switching back-and-forth between the main male and female characters. Written in first person by Iona Strom, SILVER SAVAGE is the 1st book in Warriors of Valose Saga, and follows the Valosian alien Sia Jakkar and his human mate Lily.

Lily was a laboratory technologist that had found out her fiancé had been cheating right before she was abducted by the Gretolic aliens, (along with several other human femals). Her captors crash landed on a dangerous planet called Valose, near the city of Huren. The women were then rescued by Jakkar and his warriors.

Jakkar was a Sia (king) who ruled side-by-side with his twin brother Sakkar before he was exiled from the city along side the males who chose to stand with him. They took refuge inside a settlement they created from the ruins of a village that was destroyed during the last war with the Nuttaki, a tribe of primitive assholes that laid waste to Huren and half the Valosian people, including his father and former ruler. He and his men initially ventured to the crashed space ship in seek of a power source and whatever else they could scavenge for survival. What they found instead was a bunch of compatible females.

Valosians resembled elves in human folklore, with long white hair and pointed pronounced ears, but with fangs and camouflaged scales instead of skin.

Lily was Jakkar's spirit mate (soulmate) verified by his thrumming and his second heart beating. Spirit mates were complementing spirits. Once they find each other, the need to couple becomes an urgency impossible to ignore. Thrumming was a song of the souls, a rhythmic vibration of enticement to let the female know the male was ready to begin the bond. After her touch, his ancillary heart beat for the first time and Jakkar had been "awakened."

The couple officially had sex in chapter 13, at the 64% mark, which was too long of a wait. I read this genre of books specifically for the raunch. Delaying sexual intercorse anytime after the 48% mark is like dangling the cheese so long it molds. I will cut the author some slack since the first book typically takes longer to set up the plot and backstories. I just hope that following books of the series don't hold out so long. Anyway, after first intercourse, the spirits of the mates would coalesce, and matching marks (called a shawra) would appear over their hearts. It was like a swirling tattoo of silver that glowed from within, and they could feel each other's emotions.

Valose was full of dangers, such as carnivorous predators and hostile enemies. There's the man-sized locusts known as the Nuttaki horde, carnivorous venus fly traps (floratrap) saber-toothed cats (patooga), and T-Rexes (rexose) to name a few. Sakkar brought back an alien germ that wiped out all the Valosian females, which Lily discovered to be the human virus called rubella. For some unknown reason, it only effected the females. Jakkar discovered that his twin was being mind controlled by the Gretolic aliens, and began formulating a plan to free him. Apparently their mind control didn't work on humans. There was a known traitor in their midst named Rayyar, and after one of the women (presumably Layla) helped him escape, he kidnapped one of the other women (who happened to be Lily's best friend Amy) and Marie appeared to leave with them (headed towards Huren) at the end of the book. Lily decided that while she will still work hard to help the other abducted women find a way back to Earth, she will stay with her spirit mate Jakkar. There was a lot going on in this book, a lot of which I didn't cover, so you will have to read it and discover the adventure for yourself. 🤪

So far, this series appears worth the read if this genre of books is in your wheelhouse. It had the perfect balance of adventure and romance. I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series. 🫶

Love the adventure

I like the author story, which actually twisted to surprise( that is why it is good). I loved the mix of girls we have in the crashed spaceship and the difference between how everyone behaved. Great adventure kept me on my toes during the whole book.
