I’m so glad that the author decided to make the bonus content into a collection. It’s the perfect little tidbit that holds you over while you anticipate the next book. Now keep in mind that the story reads just as though the main character is indeed writing in a journal. Hence, the title. But you get so much in between story content. Kind of like behind-the-scenes if you will. Do you need to read it to follow the storyline, probably not. But you will definitely want to.
This book is a journal that Rose writes to her baby while she is pregnant. She is trying to give her child a since of how things are and came about. To let them know how much she is loved and will be taking care of. You are going to love this little extra that has been added to the series. It is just what you need before the next book.
Rose is pregnant and the father doesn't want it. This is a series of letters that she writes to her unborn baby, describing her life as the pregnancy progresses. All of the usual protagonists are here, and questions are asked which are not answered in this book. As always, Rose struggles to do the right thing whatever that means at the time, but now she has to consider her baby.
I can never get enough of Rose Gardner, so when Denise started writing journal entries in her weekly newsletter I was like "YES, GIVE ME MORE". This book is the collection of journal entries that Rose wrote during her pregnancy. Like Rose's mother did when she was pregnant with Rose, Rose writes to her baby about the comings and goings over her pregnancy, making sure to let her baby know that he/she is loved and wanted. And like always, Denise leaves us with a shocking twist between Rose and James and the suspense of what is to come.
This is a collection of journal entries from Rose to her unborn baby. It details what is going on in Rose’s life and pregnancy between the books Come Rain or Shine, Dirty Money and When the Bough Breaks. While it was well written and I loved reading Rose’s thoughts, but if you haven’t read the other books in the series it won’t make sense.
This is great I feel like this filled in a lot of blanks ! Thanks for writing this! I'm so torn. Either the baby is a boy and James will take him to run the business or it is a girl and make James fall in love. Bte I'm hoping for a girl
It's so easy to fall in love with Rose's journey. What an amazing talent Denise has with words and creating the emotions to go with them. Thank you for an Awesome series that we can read/re-read and enjoy over and over :)
Really enjoyed this little novella with Rose’s self reflecting on her pregnancy and life. There was a nice mystery thrown in that I think will be expounded upon in the next book too. James Malcolm is sitting on my crap list though after this one!
I reread these to prepare for the final book. Boy did I love having these little pieces of Rose every week from Denise. I love that she compiled them all so we could prep for the end. Ah!
We learn more about Rose feelings and lives through the pages of her baby journal. It highlights some potential future problems and sets up more of the ongoing stories.
I absolutely love the Rose Gardner story and the diary journals were a beautiful little addition between the books. Written to her unborn baby, they were light and easy to read and I thoroughly enjoyed them.
