Zane de Tasha Black Serie Alien Adoption Agency libro 4
Argumento:
This was my least favorite story in the series . I personally did not like the female lead. I tried so hard to understand and like her, but I just couldn’t. The final straw was that she decided not to get revenge because she was about to die . She was like no I don’t wanna be a killer naw girl your man I’ve been telling you from the beginning that revenge/ killing him is not the right thing to do but were you listening no,but when your life isn’t danger it hit you. Anyways, I personally feel like Zane deserves better.
I DNF’d this book at 30%. I couldn’t tolerate one more minute of the FMC and her insufferable agenda. Zane was right, she wasn’t after justice, she was after revenge, and she was using the baby to get it. Her ulterior motive usurped the fact that she was now a mother and had signed a contract to be such. So she never once thought of Bowen or his needs, just dragged him all over town, talking to potentially dangerous men to see if someone could be a murderer for hire. She didn’t even want to stop to feed him! She acted as if the world revolved around her and only her, and I just had a difficult time wanting to continue the story. I don’t even care if she comes to a realization eventually or is possibly redeemed, and I definitely don’t want this criminal she’s after to prove her behaviors right in any way either. I only saw a couple reviews pointing out how problematic the FMC really is, but it’s a pretty big deal and annoying facet to the story. So much that it made me not want to continue.
A lady who wants a little justice for her father, a dragon warrior who's smitten at first glance, and a sweet chonk of a baby who ties them both together. We're on a new moon, with a new set of adoptive mothers, their sweet babies, and the dragon warriors sent to protect them and I AM READY FOR IT.
This time around, we have Sarah and Zane. She's a lady with vengeance in her heart. Sort of. She definitely wants justice for her father, but she also falls hard for her new baby once she meets him. Having someone so small and defenseless depending on her makes her start wondering if her quest to bring her father's killer to justice (by any means necessary, at first) is all it's cut out to be. Having Zane nudging her toward caution helps in that regard, too.
As for Zane, he's very happy his dragon is looking at Sarah as his mate, but he knows the toll killing someone can take on a person and he doesn't want that for her. But Sarah is determined in her quest for justice and Zane's determined to keep her (and Bowen) safe. So they end up hunting for a killer with little more than a marshal and some riding critters as backup.
A flirty marshal, a group of bad guys, a dragon who's found his purpose, and a lady who needs to decide what path her future will take. *thumbs up*
Sarah was determined to find, kill the man that shot her father and she had to give up her old life in order to do so. Zane was determined to find a way to help Sarah to find justice without killing. Will Zane be able to get Sarah justice or will he fail? Only reading this recommend book can you find out.
horrible at least most of it was like wild west plot but…. kahsjwksbsn i mean okay they are slightly entertaining and i can see how some people might like these… i’ve certainly read enough of them where i am in no place to judge, but STILL
and this time around the dragon mate stuff didn’t happen until the very end which is VERY GOOD
This book is an absolutely amazing read! The characters really grabbed at my heart and the connection that grew between them made me wish for my own dragon warrior. I really enjoyed the action and danger of the story. The author did a fantastic job of coming up with something new while keeping true to the series. This book is one of those reads that will stick with you long after the cover is closed, and have you re-reading it just to make sure you didn’t miss anything. I enjoyed each chapter of this book and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Sarah and her father went to the bank to make a deposit. A man came in to rob the bank. He shot up the bank killing Sarah’s father and wounding Sarah in the leg leaving her with a limp. The law made no effort to try to apprehend the robber. Sarah vowed revenge and tracked the man to a planet but it was closed off to other worlder’s. The only way for her to go there was to apply to adopt an alien baby and settle there.
Zane is an Invicta dragon warrior and it’s his responsibility to protect the baby till he is 20.
Zane I liked, the baby was adorable and I liked Slade the Marshall who helped Sarah track down the bank robber.
Sarah, the female lead in the story…I did not like. I could not connect with her character at all. She was to rigid and cold to me.
Storyline had merit but found myself skipping sections.
Interesting series the series are set up, 3 book to a series and there are at least 5 sub series.. I got book 13 for free to review. . I liked it. So now I’m starting at the beginning so far I’m enjoying each series. Cute babies, gorgeous ripped dragon warriors. Every 3 books has 3 warriors 3 adopted babies ( 2 males and a female) and 3 mothers each little family going off to a different area on the moon, or planet they have arrived on. Every 3 books, take place on a different moon or planet. Each family has various different transports and are about to embark on different way of life. Whether they will now become farmer, fisher, rancher, etc…. The three warriors are Dragon Invicta warriors, each of them with an impressive military career. And their purpose is to protect the younglings, Long ago, the Invicta had made a terrible mistake, annihilating the gentle people of Imber in an error that would haunt their ranks forever. The intergalactic counsel had finally given them leave to make things as right as they could. Using preserved DNA from Imber, the Invicta had gestated a group of pod babies who would inherit their planet and its wealth once they were grown. As part of the deal, each baby would be guarded until the age of twenty standard years by an Invicta warrior. Serving as a guard to an Imberian youth was considered the greatest honor that could be bestowed upon a warrior And a carefully selected Women of planet Terran (similar to Earth, post apocalyptic) Are given a parcel of land or a farm and a stipend to adopt the babies, they do not know the warrior will be there for the babies to reach “of age” 18-20 years . And oh somehow the warriors are paired with adoptive mothers who are their fated mates! each book is unique each MFC has a secret or a past. To overcome. And the dragon warriors. Must accept that the female is their fated mate! There are dangers on these worlds that can get them killed. The world building in this series is well developed. Characters are well defined and a well developed stories for under 30 chapters per book. HEA. No cheating, no cliff hanger just a Segway into next book. Off to read book 5
Wonderful read, I loved the characters and the scenario which held you captivated This is another wonderful read by Tasha black, I love the way she changes up the scenario’s and keeps the reader totally engaged in the characters lives she really excels at it. the fact that these women have given up everything and moved to a new planet and a new home with a baby all of her own, a child to raise and love and build a home for so that they have a happy, healthy and safe life in their new homestead. Sarah has adopted beautiful baby Bowen and she also has the added security for both herself and more importantly the baby and that is the Invicta Warrior that is going to stay with Bowen until she reaches her twentieth birthday. Zane knows that Sara is trying to bring to justice her father’s killer and also the man that changed her life so that she has a daily battle with pain after she also was shot, he love he and will do anything he can to keep her safe along with their baby Bowen who needs both parents. I guarantee that you will be riveted by this wonderful read and I am sure that like myself you will enjoy every single moment of this wonderful book and like myself will be anxious to read future books in this series. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
“Zane: Alien Adoption Agency #4” is the fourth book in the Alien Adoption Agency BuuuuT, it takes place on an entirely new frontier moon! Tasha Black continues to enchant us with these stories filled with suspense, danger, new awakenings and HOT, sexy scenes with warm, endearing romance! We meet Sarah, who has specific reason for traveling to this new moon. She wants justice for the man who murdered her father! Then, there is Zane - the Dragon Warrior (Yummy) charged with protecting Sara and the beautiful baby, Bowen, who has claimed both of their hearts. Zane discovers Sarah's reason for coming and he hopes she will not be able to follow through with her plan for revenge (justice). He knows she has a kind heart, as a Warrior, he knows these actions will affect her, forever. In addition, the mating pull between them becomes stronger. Will Sarah go ahead with her plan or will she "see the light" and let the law handle the man who murdered her father? Will Zane help her in her quest for vengeance? There are times, I’m calling out to Sarah -“Oh, no! Please don’t do that!” Does she hear me? Of course not. LOL Yet, this is the wonderment of Tasha Black’s story telling abilities. She pulls us in! We get involved with the characters and the plot! Now, it is time for me to end this review and let you enjoy the book!
I am a member of the author's newsletter and she gave a sneak peak of the first few chapters of the book and I was hooked. The story begins with Sarah come to adopt a child on a new planet, with ulterior motives. Several years ago her and her father were at a bank when it was robbed. She was injured and her father was killed during the robbery. Sarah seeks vengeance on the man who ruined her life. Zane is the dragon shift that is charged with being a bodyguard to a young child until he reaches the age of 18. He is waiting for Sarah to arrive and mother the child. As soon as Sarah steps of the plane, Zane's inner dragon knows she is his mate, but will Sarah have him? After brief introductions, Sarah and Zane head to the house they will come home for the foreseeable future. Along the way Sarah relays to Zane her ulterior motives and Zane is not completely comfortable with this but wants to protect Sarah and the child. Will Zane help? Will Sarah find the man she has been looking for to seek revenge? I really enjoyed this story. The story was just the right length and provided all the elements for a good story (desire, revenge, a quest, and the HEA ) It was my first dragon shift book, but it won't be my last.
I loved the first book in the series of three which are set on Lachesis. Sarah has come here to adopt a baby but her reason is not so much a desire to be a mother as it is to get revenge for her father's murder. Her father's killer has escaped to this remote moon and no one seems to be trying to apprehend him. What Sarah is not expecting is the feelings she immediately has for not only her son but for his Invicta guardian. Unfortunately, he does not wish to indulge her in her revenge plot though he does agree to escort her when she finds a marshall willing to help her for the right price.
Zane was not expecting Sarah to be his mate when he went to pick her up and escort her and her son to their new home. When she tells him about her father's murder and how she plans to kill the man responsible, he refuses to be a part of her revenge. He travels with her to protect her not only from the man who is helping her (though the marshall has no idea about the killing part of the plan) but also in the hope that he will be able to convince her to reconsider carrying out her revenge. But will he have any luck changing Sarah's mind when she seems determined to avenge her father no matter the cost?
I was given a copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
"...as if the mate bond compelled him to follow her into certain trouble."
Zane expected the alien adoption agency to send a Mom for the baby he was charged with protecting, not a woman on a mission of her own that has nothing to do with this child's future.
Sarah is ready to raise an alien baby and be a good mother, after she takes care of that ONE thing that was so important to her she left behind her life and home world.
This done in one kindle unlimited quick read tells a great story about some of those lines that are too subtle for some people to see. It's not just between right and wrong. It's about keeping promises. Doing the honorable thing. And recognizing the line between justice and going too far.
Slade was a surprisingly interesting character who developed more than I expected over the course of the story, and Zane and Sarah meet some locals I'd love to see again in a future story. They did more than just give this story a sense of community and that community a culture. They showed the power and strength of friendship and how bonds can form in unexpected places.
Sarah Flynn entered the Alien Adoption program, not really serious, but as a means to the end of her torment (so to speak). She was shot in the leg n her father was killed by a bank robber named Jericho Caldwell. She got nowhere with local authorities so hired an investigator. He was tracked to the moon of Lachesis, where the adoptions were being placed. Zane is an Invicta dragon warrior tasked to be guardian to an Imber child. The dragons were granted permission from the Intergalactic Counsel to gestate babies from the preserved DNA of the Imber race they annihilated. Imber babies have an inane sense to adapt to their surroundings. Imagine Sarah's surprise upon seeing a child with a golden hue upon embarking on Lachesis. More importantly, the instant bond she feels as she holds the child. The story held my interest from beginning to end as I wondered when Sarah would finally decide which was more important. Justice, revenge or motherhood🎭;-)
What can I say, I am a sucker for adoption. And this series brings it to a whole new level. Sarah is on her way to a new planet to meet her new child. But that’s not her only reason for going. She wants what she calls justice most of us would call revenge against a man who murdered her father. But right now she’s handed a baby by a gorgeous alien warrior. Little did she know you not only protected the child before she came but now for the next 20 years. It is hard not to get sidetracked when you feel a pull towards this gorgeous creature. Zane was falling for the little one that he held in his arms, he was an Invicta warrior. Long ago that warrior species had done a terrible wrong, and now to make penance for what they did they are helping to bring that species back. What Zane hadn’t planned on was having his inner dragon tell him that Sarah was his mate. As if it wasn’t complicated enough, and he knows she has some thing else on her mind. Can he do what he has to do, and still make Sarah his, and maybe all three can become a family.
Although, maybe if it had been longer, it would've been much better. I almost gave up at 70%. I finished it hoping there'd be some kind of redeeming qualities for both the MCs.
Three things I did not like: Sarah, with her obsession to find the man who killed her father, puts her newly adopted baby in harm's way. Zane just goes along with it because she's his mate. In fact, only adopts him so she can get onto the planet to find the killer. She supposedly falls in love with the baby. Not believable at all.
Secondly, the way the author portrays the baby makes me think she's not experienced with babies. I couldn't even tell how old the baby might be. Some things made me think he was a baby, some more like he was almost a toddler. It was confusing.
Lastly, the way Slade and others are portrayed as backwater, old timey cowboy/farmers just seems cringey. The way they speak was too stereotypical; didn't seem real.
She'd wanted a baby. Her family here was gone so adopting and raising a baby was the best plan--plus she had another reason to travel there as well. She didn't expect a huge hot dragonman to be taking care of the baby and bring the little one to her. She didn't expect to like him or for him to even stay. Lots of surprises for her.
He had a surprise as well--they had a real connection that would mean more later
Lots of action, people added to their circle. New creatures to learn about good or dangerous. Life changes along with a sweet little boy who was so loveable.
Another good story with a danger that will remain secret no spoilers. The tenderness of the man was another surprise. He was good with the baby, good to her, and oh so hot. He gave her a reason she didn't expect.
Enjoy this one with the sweet baby and hot protector while we all wait for the next one.
Things I loved about the book: I loved Zane & baby Bowen, the frontier moon they lived on sounded beautiful & their log home sounded amazing; I loved all the kind people they met on their journey & I loved the end of the book.
I did not like or love Sarah for 99% of the book. She is hell-bent on revenge/murder, not justice for the murder of her father & the shootings of herself & others in a bank robbery back on her home planet. She is so focused on her hate & revenge & refuses to see all the love & possibility in front of her with Zane & Bowen.
It is not until the very end that it all clicks for her. That justice is better. That her mate-bond with Zane & being a mother to Bowen is what truly matters.
I'm sorry for giving more of this book away, I promise there is a lot more that I didn't. This book was not a favorite. I adored Zane & Bowen, though they are the best 💛💛💛
All of the women in this series seem to have their own agenda aside from wanting to adopt an alien baby and Sarah is no exception to this. This is a new frontier moon that this story takes place on and from this first story there doesn’t seem like there’s as much in the way of environmental challenges as the previous three books. Sarah is bound and determined to see her father’s murder brought to justice and she has tracked him to this frontier moon. What she doesn’t expect is to feel the connection with Zane, the baby’s guardian or the baby which she has named in honor of her father. Zane knew from their first meeting that Sarah was his mate but he became aware I have her not so secret agenda upon first meeting her. Will Zane help her in her quest for vengeance? As they become closer will she give up her quest for vengeance?
Her father was killed during a robbery and the man who did it gotten away. She found out where he went and applied to adopt a baby and move to the moon where the killer had gone. The guardian for the baby refused to help her,to him it's revenge, when she told him what was going on with her. His dragon..mate and he told her. She hires a Marshall to help her find the killer. While hunting down this man along with the other 2 wanted men. They helped and made friends with a family that farms flowers. With their help they knew where to go to find these men. They found them and she finally opened her eyes of what she would be missing by and accepting that it was revenge. Had to talk the dragon down from killing. She accepted that he's her mate and wanted forever with him
Sarah is not stirring up floating octopus rustling, she's after the man who killed her father during a bank robbery. That villain escaped to the sister moon of Clotho, Lachesis. Sarah gets herself there by agreeing to adopt an Imberian baby. In doing so, Sarah finds herself falling in love with baby Bowen... but the baby's Invicta dragon-guardian Zane.
This whole story had, for me, the feel of all those westerns I watched as a kid. The villain wore all black, the heroine rides a white horse in one of those practical skirts and blouses, wears a hat to shade her and her son she carries with her from the sun.
The Marshall whose help they enlisted is a fine tracker, but he's also a flirt. Zane does not like him.
The end winds up with a showdown that ties up all ends. The epilogue is merely a bonus.
I really enjoyed this book, like the other books in this series that I have read. Each woman seems independent and strong in order to go through the things they have and make the decisions that they have made for themselves. The characters in this story were likable and their feelings were shown where the reader could easily understand the story. Sarah was looking for revenge and was not planning on becoming so attached and attracted to Zane or the baby. Zane knew Sarah was his mate immediately but said nothing at first. Would they be able to come together in the end? I hope there are more stories in this series because I will definitely be checking them out. I received a review copy of this story and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
Book 4 of the Alien Adoption series is an interesting read. The action takes place much like a western with Sarah determined to have her father’s murderer brought to justice. Despite the her son’s Invictas dragon guard insisting her quest is dangerous and ill advised, she is relentless to see justice.
Zane is immediately aware Sarah is his mate when he first sees her, and is dismayed and frustrated with her quest to find and kill her father’s murderer. He is protective of her and the baby, Bowen.
Each of the books in this series are easily read as standalone stories. I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Sarah and Zane’s story is just fabulous! Sarah is a very determined young woman with a thirst for justice/revenge who adopts a baby in order to get on a planet that is closed off to others and Zane is the beautiful Golden Invicta dragon warrior sent to deliver the baby and guard over it till it turns 20. This story gives you the impression of an old western with futuristic things added it..Great world building and character development make this a truly great read! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for nothing more than my own honest opinion and I can honestly say I highly recommend this book!
What's not to love about Zane, he's a sexy dragon that knows how to take care of his mate. I like Sarah too, she's bull headed and driven to avenge her father, I think that anger she'd so tightly wrapped herself in was her shield and ultimately becomes a huge part of her healing process opening her heart with some self-reflection and a new chance to give and receive love. I love that this has realistic elements even though it's an alien world, I love that part too. Some parts even reminded me of the ways of the old westerns I still love to watch. I received a free copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This one took me a little while to get into. I liked the characters and could understand Sarah’s motivations right away, but it still took me time to get into the story. Zane was much more grounded than the previous males have been. He didn’t immediately jump into Sarah’s scheme but tried to tell her that it wouldn’t bring her the peace and joy she thought it would. In the end, Sarah did face the truth. Baby Bowen was a doll. I almost wish these stories came with pictures because I really want to see these chunky babies. All of them sound like little different colored cherubs.
