A lost love comes home in search of answers…and love. An unimaginable change is in the air when a long lost love reappears on the sands of Coconut Key to complicate lives and open old wounds. With shocking news that changes history and the family dynamic, the new arrival brings hope, love, and the answers some have been searching for years to find.
As Jessie builds a brand new life and business, and Beck nears the opening of the Coquina House B&B, everyone is tested and forced to lean on each other for love and laughter. And when a budding friendship blossoms into something more, lives are once again changed by love…old and new, lost and found.
Another five star installment of the Coconut Key series. Savannah is low as Nick has returned to California. Jessie is unsure where her heart is, and Beck is still the glue holding it all together. When will Beck get her turn? Oh, and her ex is in town. Callie has made a decision about her situation.
The B&B is coming together with a soft opening in the spring and some good news, Kenny is the newest General Contractor on the island! The mystery behind Jessie’s husband is explained. Heather is continuing her journey into faith. Is there a new mystery to solve? There is going to be a wedding!
Some exciting news on the author front, it looks like she is extending the series!
Thank you to Booksprout and the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
Another five-star read from Hope Holloway. I knew there was something off with Tag whats-his-face and I LOVE the way he was exposed for the fraud that he is. I cannot believe the temerity of Dan! What the hell is wrong with that man? Is he so desperate? I'm not sorry for the shit show that is now his life. He should have thought about that before. As for Beck, when will she and Josh get together? Will Heather ever come to her bible-thumping senses? OMG, I am so in love with these characters.. And can we roll out the red carpet for Nick Frye? I did say his mother wasn't giving up without a fight, but Coconut Key will deliver the one-two-knock-out punch she so deserves.
In A Return to the Keys, Hope Holloway sets up uncertainty for several Coconut Key residents, but all becomes clear by the end. It's a highly satisfying read! At the end of book 4, widow and restaurateur Jessie was shocked by the reappearance of her "dead" husband, Chuck. His story of being caught in a storm, having a stroke in the water, being rescued by Cuban fishermen, and settling on St Bart's with a pregnant French woman who persuaded him to adopt her newborn son, is so inconceivable that no one believes him, but he insists it's true. He has a gap in his memory, which he attributes to the stroke... again, nobody believes him. Jessie is torn; she wants to know that her Chuck has come back, but this bearded, slim, long-haired man looks nothing like clean-shaven, beefy,crew-cut Chuck...except his eyes. Those are Chuck's. Rival chef Tag Jadrien, who wanted to date Jessie in high school when he was geeky Taggert Lutwak, corners Chuck (who was named Rafe in St Bart's) and accuses him of faking amnesia. He warns Rafe that "something might happen" to 4-year-old Beau, Rafe's son, and implies that Jessie wanted a child so badly she might kidnap him. Rafe/Chuck suspects Tag is hiding something. Meanwhile, Beck's younger daughters Savannah and Callie are in crisis. Savannah hasn't heard from Nick in several weeks and suspects he fell back in love with his acting life in L.A. and won't be returning, especially after her estranged father, a lawyer, advises her to sue him for child support and dispatches associates to start the process despite Savannah's objections. Callie, the youngest at 20, rushes home after being assaulted by a professor and threatened by his wife, a judge Callie wanted to impress and the only reason she attended the party where she was attacked. The professor didn't succeed, but Callie thinks her ambitions to be a lawyer, a judge, and a Supreme Court justice are ruined, and she wants to quit school. Peyton, the oldest sister, is still mourning the loss of her fisherman, who went back to Miami to deal with his family and his fiancee's family, who he avoided after her death from cancer. Peton copes by helping Jessie in her café and discovers a love and talent for baking. Jessie's half-sister Heather, who has moved to Coconut Key with her daughter, who's Ava's age, and son, who's a bit older than Kenny's son who died with his mom four years earlier. Heather and Kenny are still "church buddies", but Kenny keeps his distance despite his attraction, out of respect for her grief. Heather, on her end, does the same. I hope the next book will shed some light on their success in being "just friends"! Back to Jessie: she and Rafe/Chuck visit a specialist in Miami and learn that he didn't have a stroke in the water; he was shot in the head, and the parts of the brain affected by the bullet control memory and impulse (which could explain his memory loss and drastic change in appetite). The beard and long hair could be due to the Cubans guessing he was a spy or a criminal in hiding. At that point, Jessie drops "Rafe" and starts calling the mystery man "Chuck" again. At a family party, several members announce happy news: Peyton is going to culinary school, Callie will become a prosecutor and stay away from the billable hours her dad keeps hounding her about, Heather says that Jessie's café is doing very well and she's going to stay in Coconut Key with her kids, and Chuck proposes to Jessie again. That leaves Savannah with nobody but baby Dylan to love...but then a helicopter lands on the beach, and who steps out? Nick! He's been formalizing his departure from his hit series, his acting career, and his home in L.A., but now he's back on Coconut Key to stay. A happy ending for all! I love Coconut Key and its residents! Very highly recommended.
I loved reading A Return to the Keys(Coconut Key Book 5)!!! All about the Foster clan, the Cross clan, the Gallagher clan, Nick Frey and two new comers!!! This is a series about a place called Coconut Key, it literally is the end of the road, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the warm Gulf waters! It’s about a bunch of families that are interconnected in love, family & friendship!! Each of the family’s are mourning a loss, yet somehow one loss turns into a return from the dead!!! In order to understand this book you must read the other four in the series, and I guarantee you fall in love with these families!!! I can not wait to read book 6!!!!
Another great read! Some questions are answered, some remain. As I’ve indicated before that this is somewhat of a different read for me (I usually like a little steam to my reads), the characters in Coconut Key have captivated me and I eagerly wait for the next installment. The return of Chuck/Rafe was handled very well and with a logical and reasonable explanation. I’m not so sure about Heather’s journey with her faith but I’ll wait and see how that is resolved. All in all, this whole series was a surprise and look forward to the next book.
A lost love comes home in search of answers…and a second chance at life.
Your interest is peaked from the start and stays engaged in the story line until you reach the end. It's well written, flows smoothly and captivating. The characters are intriguing, well developed and you enjoy getting to know them. A great summer romance that's perfect for those evenings where you just want to curl up with a good book while enjoying the sunset.

Love this series, and it gets better with every book! There is always a lot going on with personal relationships, couples and personal challenges. This installment really threw a curve ball at Jessie as she works at opening her new restaurant. The series is full of great characters, much emotion, twists and turns, and great values during personal challenges.

This awesome series continues with our girls rising up to meet new challenges and help the people they love. Lots of struggles, frustrations, disappointments — but love indeed conquers all!! Every book in this series has ended with excitement! This one tops them all!! Every book makes me want to visit the Florida Keys and entice my family to join me!! Such a fantastic series— love spending my time in all this sunshine!!
A literal lost love I made the rookie error of reading this without reading the first four books in the series. But it was still an enjoyable read. I love the premise of this series, with the protagonists being older, strong women that have great friendships and hopes of love in their wonderful lives. There’s also drama, deception, second chances and promises of more to come in Coconut Key. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love this series but this book had some annoying parts in it but also really great ones. Great ones first the story line between Jessie, Tag and Rafe. Love the little twist of mystery there. The annoying part Heather’s story was the religious part. All the references about church It was a little to preachy for me. I was going to give it 3 stars for this but decided the rest of the book was great. Hoping there isn’t quite so much in the next book.
This book picks up where the end of #4 left off - with the reappearance of Jessie's "dead" husband. And how it affects her "friendship" with Tag. What happens there is a surprise to me though I did have some questions about his pursuit of her (not giving spoilers but there is a surprise)! This books also delves more into the budding relationship of Kenny and Heather as well as those of Beck/Josh and Savannah/Nick. Beck and family still living at The Haven after the hurricane hit Coconut Key. Other than the aforementioned Tag situation, the book was okay. I enjoyed it but not really special. Book 6 sounds like it might be more fun based on where this one ended.
I give this one four stars but the series has taken a turn from realistic to fantasy or unrealistic. I understand she has to captivate her audience but (spoiler alert) Movie stars, money laundering, coming back from the dead, etc.. so much drama that wouldn’t truly all happen within one family.. if so it would be very rare and just as unbelievable. Still.. It’s a very good series.. but kind of out there..
This is the first book I've read by this author and I am hooked! Loved it! I've got to go back and start with the first book in this series. I loved the setting , the characters but what I really loved was the author's writing style. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Stunning opening scene and shocking conclusion to Jesse's story! Also, Calli files s a lawsuit, her bossy father barges into their family and causes problems for 2 his daughters and his ex wife, Beck! Family confrontation is the result! Lots of problems for this extended family to confront. Enjoy!
I really enjoyed the previous Coconut Key books, but this one seems to have been written quickly and not well edited. There are lots of mistakes, not spelling, but incorrect words and names and omitted words. It appears that it was not proofread, The story was just okay. I will read Nos. 6 and 7, hoping for a return to better writing and editing,
Just finished A Return to the Keys. This was a great book. It was so emotional at times, I cried. The ending of this book was fantastic. Thank you for such a great series. It is sad, but in two more books this series comes to an end. I feel like the characters in this series are like family. We learn so much about each one of them. Once again, Thank You for this outstanding series.
Good light read with a few plot twists and a few predictable moments. Am reading this series because it’s easy to keep up with while on the treadmill, its free on my kindle unlimited and because frankly right now I desire a little “feel good- all ends well” in my life.
Someone returns from the grave, lost at sea, reappears, romance and drama. Such intrigue and unexpected surprises! So something I really enjoy is this series are clean writing. Appropriate for young adults, teens and adults. Never vulgar language or descriptive sexual acts. Christian appropriate reading with family values. Impressive!
No spoilers here!! This is a really great read! Just when you think you've got everyone in Coconut Key figured out.... Think again! The plot really twists and turns in this book and, like the others before it, has left me wanting to start boom 6 immediately! I love the core of the series that's family and this family is tight.
At first I thought the ending of book 4 segueing into this book with a new character was a bit too much and a silly story line but boy was I wrong. The ensuing plot and the trials and tribulations of all the Foster women and their friends kept me up all night. So glad I came to all these books not having to wait for the next one like previous reviewers. Book 6 here I come.
Usually, book series are so repetitive. This series has New exciting storylines you can we were set-up two books ago but you simply didn't notice. Lovely true to messy live stories that turn out happy and believable. Enjoy a day with your toes in the sand and your n head and Best absorbed In the lives In Coconut Key!
Unbelievable book!!! I couldn’t put it down because it was so good and I couldn’t go to sleep until I found out what was going to happen. A great cast of characters, who are either family or friends. Their lives are intertwined and there is never a dull moment. The twist in this book caught me off guard and at the end I was extremely surprised.
Every character is blooming! Powerful story lines! It is nice to see men supporting the women! I am worried about Josh and beck. Nothing seems to be flourishing btw them. I expect they’ll be the last resolved. So glad Jessie and chuck are working out. And now we’ll have Nick in the story- what will he do. I am ready for the next book, Thanks.
Wow! First, thank you so much for an ARC of this book. Each one just keeps getting better and better. I just loved the Jessie and Chuck/Rafe story so much! I just love the closeness and love that all of these people have for each other. This is a definite must to read!
Another amazing book in this series. Leaves you wanting more. In this book there are more secrets, heart aches, new and unexpected visitors. Continue reading to find out how they pull together to and support each other.
I started this book doubtful. It didn’t take long for my interest to take off, then I couldn’t put it down. I am totally immersed in theses characters and their relationships. Definitely read Hope Holloway’s Coconut Key Novel.
I’m reading these books in order and this is by far the best one so far. I feel like I know these people. Leading up to this book I wasn’t all that sold but glad I stuck with Beck and her girls. Great book. Read the series in order.
Highly recommend this series! Hard to put down and get anything done! The characters and storyline are amazing. Can’t wait for the next book to be released!
The characters and the storyline keep getting more detailed and complex. So many changes are happening and couples are put to the test. This author has me hooked and I can not wait for the next book.
