I'm on the run, leaving behind everything I've ever known. I'm on the run, on a blessed path that leads me straight into their arms.
In 2026, Oliver Smith emigrates from the United States to Austria, to start a job as an editor for Boutique Press. Anxious, tired and broken, he hallucinates an angel comforting him on the plane. Ollie assumes it was a dream, but the Catholic contract lawyer Moritz who picks him up at the airport assures him that angels are real.
As Ollie builds a new life on the other side of the world, working his job while trying to keep himself together and hold his shadows at bay, he meets Bryn, a young man who practices a secret magic and sings gentle prayers to the sunset. Bryn is married to Moritz, the same contract lawyer who helped Ollie settle in and who keeps showing up and cooking for him in the evenings. But things have gone wrong: Bryn and Moritz are separated, pending divorce.
Ollie and Bryn fall fast together, becoming best friends, and as Ollie gets to know Moritz's caring heart he realizes he has feelings for this beautiful man, too. It’s clear that Bryn and Moritz still love each other. As Ollie works to bring them back together, he finds himself being healed in return and drawn into their loving embrace.
***Infinite is the first book in the Sky Nymph series and is a 50,000-word MMM romance with magical realism, patient angels, typewriters on bicycles, and lots of espresso. Although Infinite takes place in the magical Vienna of the Augarten series, it can be read as a standalone.
Infinite was a fun book, a little outside of my usual wheelhouse with the spirituality and religion. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful book that touches on how sometimes a relationship isn't just between two people and how a third brings the balance that was sorely lacking
"Even if it's a false god We'd still worship We might just get away with it The altar is my hips Even if it's a false god We'd still worship this love" ~ Taylor Swift, False God 2019
Unusual and unique. I would describe it more as a spiritual novel than a romance. For me the relationships were often on the side of the MC's spiritual journey. Slow burn and one pov
I really enjoyed reading this fantastic, intriguing, poignant, grab-you-by-the-feels, sweet, delightful, slow burning, charming, lovely, and totally awesome start to an intriguing new series.
This was my first book by this author and it was very different from what I’m used to. I’m not really sure how to explain this story.
I would not call it fantasy, nor paranormal, nor magical. It’s more religious than any of that. The author has a talent for bringing religion and religious elements into a contemporary storyline.
The story of Ollie’s journey to Austria from the United States in order to take a job as an editor for a boutique printing company is a good introduction to him and sets up an easy path into Moritz and Byrn’s life.
I loved seeing the relationship unfold with Ollie as the missing piece between Moritz and Byrn. Their marriage had been strained and they were separated so Ollie meets them each independently. The relationship develops between the three and is beautifully written.
The religious/spiritual aspect of the story was obviously written from a strong understanding of these ideas. I’m not religious myself, so I skimmed most of these parts.
Overall a beautiful book told in a way that immerses the reader in the story.
Heat: 5/10 (it takes them a while to get to it, but it’s tastefully written when they do) Writing: 8/10 (easy to picture, very descriptive) Plot/pacing: 8/10 (it’s a little drawn out in places. The religious/spiritual explanations take up quite a bit of space) Overall: 8/10 (would recommend)
Well written, but not really my style of book Havent read anything from this author before, and I wish I had done, as I found it difficult to understand the setting of this book. It was set slightly in the future, but a different type of future than ours. Very descriptive of the people and daily life of Ollie, but some explanations were missed which left me with unanswered questions. The story spends lots of time in exploring the characters and their beliefs, while slowly working towards a sort of love story from two people in a marriage about to break up - to a threesome. The romance between the three was nice, but it took two thirds of the book before really getting to that. It felt like a bit of work reading this for me, as lots of the book reads like a teaching manual on magic, angels and esotoric subjects. I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.
This was the first book by Charlie Godwyne that I've read. It felt calm and quiet and beautiful. The writing was strong, the world building was solid. All three main characters were well developed and lovable because of, not in spite of, their realistic flaws and insecurities. I love the gentle and growing love between Ollie, Moritz, and Bryn.
The only reason I rated this as 3 stars instead of 4 or even 5 is because it feels unfinished. I understand that it's meant to be a first installment in a series with a HFN ending. However, even within those parameters the ending felt abrupt and very little action had taken place in the plot. I will likely read the others in the series because I'm invested in the love story between the three men, but I wish I had waited until the others were out so that it would feel more satisfying than reading this as a stand alone when it's not quite finished enough to stand alone.
A gentle, sweet MMM romance, with renewed love and found family. Ollie left everything in the U.S. behind when he came to Austria to live. Not that he had much to leave. His only relative died and he had no romantic ties. His only companion on the long stressful flight to Vienna is an angel that comforts him during his hours-long panic attack. Then he meets Moritz and Bryn. Moritz and Bryn are married but separated. They love each other, but can’t seem to get past their differences. Ollie falls for both men but wants, more than anything, to get them back together. The three men are drawn to each other and all three find healing in their mutual love. There’s a touch of magic woven through the story and some characters from a previous series show up. Sometimes it was hard to follow because I hadn’t read the other books, but I got the gist of most of it. This is a really sweet, low-angst, low-heat, slow burn romance. There is definite development of all three characters which looks likely to continue into the next book. It is the first book of the Sky Nymph series and has an HFN which I suspect will become an HEA for the lovers at the end of the series. Definitely recommend.
Ollie is making big changes in his life, the first step is moving from the U.S. to Vienna. He has a new job, a new house and with a little guidance from his guardian Angel and some help from new friends, Ollie is building himself a new life.
Moritz Keird is one of the first people he meets when he arrives in Vienna and Ollie quickly finds himself attracted to him. He soon discovers that Bryn, the delivery boy for Boutique Press, whom he also has a crush on, is married to Moritz, although they are separated.
Ollie likes both men so much that he just wants them to be happy. He resigns himself to only being their friend and decides to do what ever he can to help them heal their relationship and become the couple he knows they can be.
The three men soon find themselves relying on and helping each other and their relationship becomes something much stronger than mere friendship and one that involves not just two but all three of them.
I first met Ollie in the Augarten series and I really liked him. I’m so happy that he and his partners got their own story.
I really liked this story, I love characters and the relationships between them all. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading the next one.
This reader found it refreshing to read a MMM story that did not start with bumping and grinding. The author does a good job of detailing each character which allows the reader to fully understand the plot better. Being a young person Ollie appears to have his eyes and heart open to new experiences.
Ollie doe not like being alone, so why move across the world by yourself? That was the first question this reader asked herself...well, on Ollie's journey to self discovery he found something more important than what he wanted. Ollie, discover that helping others achieve their happiness can and will lead too self satisfaction and self love.
Angels? The author brings another element to the story, which could be a great open discussion if you have a book club, or are looking for you and your friends next new read. I like the idea of different point of views within the story. Because, we are all human and we bring our own perspective to each topic being discussed.
Thank you Voracious Reader Only and author for my free copy of this book.
Spinoff of the Augarten series, starting new dynamics with secondary characters from that series becoming the protagonists of this one. Although it isn't technically necessary to read the Augarten series to follow this one, a lot of esoteric and religious experiences explained there are touched on, but here often only mentioned almost in passing, leaving the profound feelings elicited by happenings in the surrounding world and people much less understood without the background laid out in that series. A light refresher course on the collective Life Force, angels, and to some extent ancient deities isn't really complete without the information from the previous series, but perhaps this will be developed more in the following parts of this one. Here the characters are developed through the eyes of a loquacious American youth, who explicitly describes his own feelings in depth, and helps others to puzzle through theirs. Interpersonal interactions are mostly very sweet, although sometimes a bit puzzling as they all slowly realize their growing feelings. Great ambience, nicely descriptive of a hypothetical Vienna with real Viennese places and things.
This sweet, low-angst MMM story is set in the same alternate-reality Vienna as the author's other series (Augarten), and looks to be the start to a new series. Bryn and Moritz are both sweet as they help Ollie adjust to his new country. Although they are married, they are separated. Ollie is attracted to both men and wants to help them stay together. Eventually all three see that they fit together in each others' lives. There is not a lot of action. The book is more character and relationship focused. I loved the way the three men healed and completed each other.
Although this is a separate book, if you have not read the author's other writings, you may be unfamiliar with the spiritualism and almost mystical beliefs that pervade this writer's stories. If you don't care for that kind of thing, this book may not be for you.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
This is a slow-burn, low angst, MMM love story. When Ollie moves to Austria, he’s looking to build a new home, from the ground up, because the only thing he left in the US was a collection of debts he can’t yet pay. In Austria, he finds not one but two men who could be the love, and family, he needs— Moritz and Bryn, a married couple who love each other deeply but can’t quite make their marriage work. What begins as friendship shades into romance in a gradual, gentle way that’s beautiful to read. There’s an interesting blend of moods and tones in the novel— it’s about the romance between the three, but it’s also about friends, found family, and a deep vein of eclectic, wide-ranging spiritualism that runs throughout the novel, almost pedantically at times. Overall, it’s the gentleness of this book that sticks with me, and the hopeful place it leaves Ollie and his newfound loves. A rewarding read.

I'm on the fence about this book. On one hand, I like the underlying relationship between Ollie, Moritz, and Bryn. There is a basic flow to their growth that feels very natural and where Ollie really does bridge the gap between the other two so they don't fall apart. It's a gentle story with a definite slow-burn element and a HFN as this isn't a case of insta-love and resolution.
On the other hand, the mishmash of spirituality and mysticism becomes confusing, as does the world where the story exists. This is supposed to be the beginning of a new series where prior knowledge from the Augarten series isn't required, but I can't help but think it actually is necessary to make sense of everything. I'm not ready to give up on this, but I'm going to need to backtrack before the next book or else ignore what seems to be a significant portion of the author's style.
This is a very relaxing, somewhat spiritual read. Although it's spiritual, it's rather open in it's religious affiliation, with no two main characters having the same religious practice but each recognizing the importance of the spirituality expressed by the others. I also really liked that one of the characters is a very devout Catholic who has access to an LGBTQ Catholic group.
The main events of the story center around the married but separated couple, Moritz and Bryn, and the recent immigrant Ollie who is attracted to both of them and wants to get them back together. Their relationship heals and develops to include all three as a happy, supportive unit. It's a very sweet story about love and found family.
I received a copy through Voracious Readers Only in exchange for an honest review.
Oliver, Moritz, and Bryn are an interesting combination, but they work. Moritz and Bryn definitely work better with Oliver to even the relationship out.
I haven't read anything by this author before. This was a different read for me and I'm not entirely sure of how I feel about it, but it was very well-written and I didn't have a problem staying in the story. The story keeps a pretty constant pace.
This book talks a lot about spirituality, not religion, and how each character dealt with their beliefs. In looking at the blurbs for the author's other books this seems to be a common thing in their books.
I think this is a well done book, but I personally need a little more action and a bit less talk about each character's beliefs.
I really loved the Augarten series by this author and was looking forward to this one very much. The blurb made it sound less dark than Augarten and it was, but the emotional intensity among the characters was just as strong. This author knows how to write really great poly relationships where each character is clearly defined and then very cleverly and realistically show us how their personalities fit together and make something bigger and stronger than they are individually without ever making them into an amorphous blob where everything is hearts and flowers all the time. The magic is just part of the world and I never at any time was pulled out of the story by any of the magical elements. Everything fits together seamlessly.
pretty good could have and should have been more developed
The spiritual aspect of this amusing romp isn’t well developed. There is sex which is somewhat graphic but not very steamy…at least not for me. It makes a decent cast for one way a threesome could be made to work. At least given how brief the novel is.
I was actually more interested in the slice-of-life of an American kid living in near future Austria but it wasn’t done as well as I’d hoped.
There is very little given of the world political situation but it looks like that and the spiritual aspect is more developed in book two.
This book states it can be read as a standalone and this is true but I feel like I might have understood it a little better if I had read the other series first. This was a good book but it just didn’t resonate with me the way some do. I liked all of the main characters though. I felt like there were some things left unanswered as far as their relationship. I did like how both Bryn and Moritz realized they were all better as a couple with Ollie in the mix. Sometimes it takes someone to be the glue to keep two other people together.

I give this book 4.5 stars.
Ollie is an American with no family and no idea of who his real parents were or are. He moves to Vienna sponsored by his adopted grandmother’s friend, Florian. He meets Moritz and falls in love with him. He meets Moritz’s husband, Bryn and falls in love with him. The trio goes through different beliefs in angels and their gods. I love the way Ollie is the glue in keeping Moritz and Bryn together while on the journey to finding himself.
I was given the opportunity to receive a copy of this book from the author through Voracious Reader's Only. This isn't typically a genre I would choose, but I was immediately captivated by the writing style of Charlie Godwyne. The main character goes through a beautiful journey of romance, pain, and spirituality. The author knows how to make you feel exactly how the characters do and bring the characters to life. It mainly focuses on the topics of religion and spirituality. Beautifully written. (Not for readers under the age of 18, explicit/sexual content)
This is my first book by this author and really enjoyed it. It starts in the year of 2026 where one of the MCs, Ollie, comes from the U.S. for a new job. He meets up with Moritz who helps him become acclimatized the this new country. Enter Bryn, who Ollie finds out is married to Moritz. This is a slow build up to a throuple romance. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
I received an arc of this book for my honest review.
I love this world that the author has built! Ollie is moving to Australia. He has a panic attack on the plane and is comforted by an angel. When he arrives, he meets Moritz and Bryn. They are married but separated. They obviously still love one another but have issues they cannot get past. Ollie falls for both and wants to help them back together. This was fantastic!! We were left with a HFN but hoping for more! I’m voluntarily leaving a review form an advanced copy that I received.
A couple headed for divorce become a loving throuple.
It’s a sweet story I struggled to finish, because so many terms like astral plane, guardian angel, life force, protective magic, higher self, malefic spirit - these mean absolutely nothing to me, and actually detracted from the story. Austria does sound like an awesome place, and this is the only book I’ve read involving the Isle of Man, so that’s a first.
I was really looking forward to reading this book after reading the synopsis.I am more than happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. The world building is unique and beautifully written. The story line had me hooked straight from the beginning and I loved all three main characters. I don't want to say too much about this as I don't want to spoil this delightful series starter for anyone. I received an ARC copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest review.
Upon finishing this book, I reflected on what my impression was of the story and the simple word “tender” popped into my mind. At times the story was humorous, at times a bit sad, but throughout ran tenderness among the main characters. I really wasn’t sure about the story at the beginning but it grew in intensity and, dare I say, plausibility. Well, mostly anyway. I’m not really into angels and such, but that’s OK.
This is the first time I've ever read a book and been intrigued to see where it would lead. i definitely didn't expect a polyamorous relationship. seeing how different Ollie, Bryn and Moritz are but how they are all drawn together. and i love the spirituality that is included in the story and Ollie's friendship with longtime pen pal Florian . i would like an angel to guide me too please. I will certainly going to get all the books in the series now!
This was so good the storyline is amazing with so much going on. I couldn’t stop reading. The characters Bryn and Moritz are both amazing and when they need help Ollie steps in to help them as there hearts are meandering they find love in a triangle and all three become one. I love this story and hope there are lots more to come.
I love how this author handles spirituality and mysticism. It feels so accessible and normal. I really enjoy the characters and the worldbuilding. I'm glad that we are still around other characters we've learned to love.
I can't wait to see what happens with Brynn, Ollie, and Moritz. I think that Moritz's dad way overstepped though.
This author was new to me and I have to say that I was not disappointed! Intriguing concepts and a lot of promise in this introduction to this new series. Engaging characters, great word building, slow burn and low angst. I enjoyed reading this story and I can't wait to read book two! I read an advanced copy of this story and this is my unbiased review!
