Brandon hates his job, but he’s good at it. So the night he gets shot at outside his office building is a life-changing one for him. He never would have expected it to change quite the way it does, though.
He is about to find out that all those stories he had heard involving Elves, Vampires, and Werewolves were not just bullshit. And he has three sexy paranormal ladies with him now to prove it. Silvana, the sexy Elf who thinks Brandon is something special. Lina, the bratty Vampire girl who wants nothing more than to bite into him. And then there is Johanne, the Werewolf girl who had such a military upbringing that she is still stuck in her shell.
They are training him now to be a killer. He needs to prepare for a battle that is coming that will destroy billions of lives. Not just lives on Earth, as he is about to find out. Something that was banished eons ago is slowly getting loose, and now Brandon must fight its minions here on Earth in order to weaken it.
This series contains the unabridged text, mayhem, monster girls, fluffy tails, and just plain lots of magic and shooting of bullets. You have been warned, so sit back, enjoy, and grab the popcorn.
A lot of problems with this one. Typical start. MC thinks he is normal until someone tries to kill him. A couple of people are there to protect him. He finds out he is part of a supernatural world that he didn't know existed. Turns out he is more unique than anyone knew. Overall nothing special about this book.
It's a decent read, not loaded with grammatical errors which is a huge plus. It has an interesting take on magical creatures, also a plus. So why three stars? Well... the relationships with the women in MCs life was just kind of... "Oh you're all together now." We'll just hand wave three weeks and they're all in love. Feels kind of cheap to me sorry. I mean opens up tone to add more later but it previous relationships are just paper thin then... meh. Also it feels like the author just took a giant book and chopped it off in a spot for the end of the book. Just... rubbed me wrong. Finally the smut was..okay? Nothing special, not a lot though I'll take that over ramming poor smut all through a book any day. I'll give the next book a read, maybe things will improve as the story gets into its stride.
it wasn't good and then his mother tranq'd him instead of explaining where she'd been for the last 10 years and what he was and what the bad guys were and what his powers were and why he'd never been told any of this. i decided then and there i didnt need this in my life.
Just say no. It turns out that paper/books can withstand whatever nonsense is written on them. But that doesn't mean that it can stand the rationality, logical and common sense tests. The author creates this "ultimate hybrid Alpha" that basically is half Elven Ancestor, Full Lycan Alpha, Half Vampire, etc. etc. with all those species running within him, he is basically a mutt, that before his "awakening" was a deskjockey computer programmer at a third rate company. Really?? Can the author get more crass and absurd?? I think not. I know it's all "fantasy lore" in the end, but vampires and lycans don't mix they are complete opposites and tend to confront each other all of the time. I feel as if the author took a "sh*t" on top of the final copy of this book and then expected us to read it and like it?? I do not recommend this urban-fanstasy novel series. It has no warnings about adult content. No inside maps, no inside illustrations, no character summaries, no real character development or descriptions (except for the curves of the female characters) and no real world building. We don't know where we are in the world (or other worlds) we don't know who is in charge, we don't know if it is day or night, we don't know if the times of the novel series is now, the past or the future... It's a "sh*t" topping/frosting on a lot of adult situations basically.
This was an amazing story. Such great characters & a plot that leaves you wanting more. Brandon is really good at his job but he hated it. He decides to go for a run and when he goes outside he gets shot at & men try hto abduct him. A dog saves him but gets shot in the process. He decides he has to help the dog and takes it home with him. He removes the bullet & while the dog is resting, he gets a visit from a woman named Sylvania. Branson then finds out his whole life is a lie. Sylvania is an elf and she is there to help him find out what he is. He then learns the dog is a werewolf. He thought his parents died years ago and learns that's a lie. As he proceeds with exploruling who he is it leads him on a wild ride. He meets an elf, a werewolf and a vampire. His mother is a wherelioness . Can't wait for book 2.
Someone recommended this to me some time ago... I hope the smut is minimal and there is an actual story.
The protagonist, who it seems to be a Florida Male, after being shot at, takes a supposed wild animal into his house, and thinks nothing will come of it... Am I reading some type of "Floridaman" novel? The logic so far is not present.
I don't know how I feel about this series. Maybe it was something else my friend recommended? I don't know if I will read the sequel, as the protagonist is basically reacting, and not using his brain to "cheat the system", at least that is how it is so far.
I've started to get picky after a lot of years reading fantasy, historical fiction, and scifi books/stories. I like a good story and an MC that will stand on his/her two feet and carry the action with intelligence and thoughtfulness. I was concerned with this MC at first, but the action sucked me in long enough to let the character mature to where I started to enjoy the ride. This character is unique to any that I have ever observed and I'll gladly stay the course with wherever this adventure goes.
I will read book 2. The ideas of the book while not new are brought together in a unique way. The only drawback is the mc is a moron. Even his mother calls him an idiot more than once. He says or thinks the most stupid things. For example, after an unknown caller calls him by name and says leave the building, they are coming to kill you. He says, stupid telemarketer. In spite of the mentally challenged mc, I would read book 2.
This was a wonderful book. Significantly different than what I'm used to reading as a contemporary fantasy. This book takes the concept of werewolves, elves, and such and gives them the same origin. Which is really cool as they are all awesome. The story its set in has the origin race as a mysterious people who vanished. Accept for one genetic sample they missed. When they ascended. Which becomes the series' main character.
Enjoyed this fast paced HaremLit book which does have some adult in it and is actually pretty good. There is a great world be created here with plenty of back filler to slow it down slightly before another stomp on the gas.
Plenty of interesting and diverse characters and although there is a hint of Jan Stryvant in the story it’s not like our MC is making millions and ruling a city, yet!!
Anyway very enjoyable so download and have some escapism 😁
This poor off 32 yr old kid, who's parents were killed in a house fire, has people trying to kill him and he doesn't know why. Until he gets saved by a wolf that gets shot. So he saves the wolf... He finds out that he is an anomaly, a race that died off about a million years ago. He can shape-shifting, cast magic, be a vampire, and more...
Found this book through my also reads and thought why not, give it a try as it sounded interesting. Have to say I'm in love already and have just downloaded book 2 and intend to binge that one as well and then the rest of the series. A great start with great character development and world building. Cannot wait to see where this goes moving forwards. Well done and keep it up.
Start of a new series. I enjoyed this book very much. Seems a little more thought out than the authors other series but this author Characters are always amusing and fun. Though the story is not totally original it is great read and hopefully will be more to come. Looking forward to more books in the series.
Brandon meets a werewolf and an elf. Both elegant, buxom and beautiful. He also finds that the Organization is trying to kill him. Will they together be enough save Brandon and the other races? Along with bountiful sex and learning his heritage, the battle is on.
I enjoyed this novella, it was fast reading, good characters and the setup of a unique urban fantasy world! The first book is rather short but it sets up the main character to be pretty overpowered which is essentially what the book is about! overall a decent read that kept my attention. looks to be a good series!
guy ends up being the descendant of an ancient race that created all the races via a weird happenstance. Nice story but it doesn't go anywhere. There is this big bad Void that is going to kill everything, but the 1st 2 books is pretty much just him getting to know his new abilities and getting his team set up. There was 1 skirmish at the end of book 2.
Brandon is a handsome geek. Girls hit on him, but he is mostly disinterested. Two strange girls come into his life and then a third. He is very interested. Men from the Organization attack and try to kill him. As he comes into his powers, the unexplained ensues. I like the action, humor, and lust/love. I look forward to the next book.
Wasn't a fan of the use of the f word so frequently in this book however I will say I can totally understand why it was used. The characters f word phrase became his trade mark shall we say. He has quite strong resilience considering what he goes through! The story itself kept me involved despite the language which is a testament to its strength. I'm intrigued for the other 2 books.
The story was good but the book needs editing. Wording felt stilted in places and there are a lot of spelling errors. Kind of screwed with the flow of the book but overall I enjoyed it and look forward to the next.
What an amazing storyline!! Another great story which will no doubt turn into a first rate series!!!! Least I want this storyline to continue!!! Really good editing and truly a unique and wonderful story!!
When I first started this book, I wasn't sure if I liked the main character. That being said, he got better. By the end of the book, I really liked him as well as all the surrounding characters. All in all, this was a really fun read.
This was an enjoyable read and looks to be the start of an excellent series. I’m looking forward to reading book 2 which I’ve already pre-ordered. There are some editing mistakes but nothing that take away from the context of what the author is projecting. I definitely recommend it
Good story but will it continue. The protagonist has been set up as becoming uber powerful. Will He act rationally and effectively with that power or as is to often the case will he be indecisive and ineffective. Subsequent volume's will tell the tale.
This is a good book. You shouldy read it. I like the story. The characters are fun. The book is a good read. i enjoyed it alot.. Download or buy it today. why not? Different take on urban legends
This is some kind of fantasy beyound what your used to in many ways. Great first read and very interesting. It comprises itself of many different genre at once. Enjoyable for sure.😁😁😁😁😁😁
Have read one other series by this author and thought I would try this one. Except for some editing mistakes the book was good enough that I finished it quickly and will read the next one.
Great story and very well written.. I am looking forward to reading the additional stories in this series . As well as aredditional stories by this author.
Really tried to like this series but the mc whining and repeatedly crying what the f**k is happening I don't understand 😕 was so annoying 😑 I just couldn't. I hate whiny men. His other series The Elemental summoner was very good 👍 had high hopes for this one but the MC just didn't work for me.
