An Atlan Warlord in Mating Fever with two choices: Be the latest bachelor beast on an Earth reality television show to find his perfect mate or face certain death in an Atlan prison. Braun's not sure which is worse... until a female enters his hotel suite with towels and cleaning supplies.
She isn't part of the television show.
She isn't available.
She isn't interested in mating with an alien.
She isn't his.
Try telling that to his beast, because one look at the maid and Braun knows he will do anything... anything, to claim her.
So, I'll start by saying that this is just my second Grace Goodwin book. I read Assigned a Mate a few weeks ago mostly because I was interested in this one, and I wanted a little backstory going into it. The writing seems just as fine as in the first one, and, even though I found the second half of this rather boring, the overall plot did seem more planned out compared to Assigned a Mate. I do think Assigned a Mate is much, much steamier than this one, though. All the sex scenes here seem more perfunctory than anything else.
My biggest problem with this book, though, is just a whole bunch of logical inconsistencies. Some are small, like saying Angela's work blouse is white and then four pages later saying it's black. Some are a bit more troublesome, like how we're told Angela inherited her couch from her Grandpa when he moved from his house into an apartment in an elderly community, but later she takes Braun to see her Grandpa at his house...
I suppose it could be her other Grandpa, but if so, she calls them both Gramps, so that's a bit confusing.
But all of those types of things pale in comparison to the fact the author seems to have no idea how tall seven feet is. Braun is described as being a seven-foot tall alien dude, and let's be honest, even a five-foot tall woman with a seven-foot tall guy is going to cause some issues, but whenever Braun interacts with things, the author makes him seem way bigger than seven-feet, which makes it so much harder to even understand how this relationship was possible.
Listen, I know this is a ridiculous sci-fi romp, and I can suspend disbelief as well as the next girl, but math is math, and a foot will always be twelve inches. I can't just let that go. This likely bothered me way more than it would anyone else, but seriously all I could think about the whole time I was reading this book was how on earth their privates could even go together.
So, the first time Angela meets Braun, he's coming out of a shower in his hotel room. She mentions that he's naked except for a large bath sheet kind of wrapped around his waist, but his waist is so big that the towel can't close all the way, so his big ol' thigh is sticking out.
A bath sheet (those super big towels hotels use) generally measures 35"x70" (90cm x 177cm for all my metric peeps). This towel is 5 feet 10 inches long. And he's barely got it closed, which means his waist is somewhere around 5 feet 8 inches. The average man's waist is about 40", so this is close to double the size. And that's not even taking into account the width of the towel. Angela mentions that this big huge bath sheet looks like a regular guy wrapping a dish towel around his waist. So, I'll be generous and say it covers a third of his total leg height. So 35*3=105" almost 9 feet! Just for his legs. So, yeah, that didn't work.
So, let's move onto the next demonstration of alien dude's height - the first time they get it on. Braun picks up one of the hotel room's padded chairs and puts it on top of the bed. I'm not even going to go into how rickety that would be, but let's just assume he can get this chair up and it doesn't immediately topple over. Braun puts Angela in the chair, and after some foreplay stuff, Braun "stood at his full height" and was able to get his joystick right in there. The chair on the bed put her hooha at the right height, and he's only seven feet tall? I mean, a regular sized guy is usually good at just bed height, and this would be double that.
Yay, more math!
I checked online, and you can actually buy one of the beds they use at the Marriott (who knew?), so I got the height straight off of there. The total with legs is 25.5" (65 cm). Then you have the chair. Apparently, the average seat height is around 17"/18". I think it's safe to say, a padded hotel chair would be on the higher end, probably even closer to 19", but I'll go with the 18" to be fair. So we have a total of 43.5", which doesn't sound too bad, right? A little under 4 foot, so if that was half his body, that would put him somewhere between 7 and 8 feet. EXCEPT that means he would be standing at full height without bending his knees. So....he's standing straight up and just rocking in and out? Of course not, you gotta bend your knees for a bit of lunge, right? And of course, he needs to go up and over the bed a bit, not to mention that the chair wouldn't be right on the edge of the bed or it would fall right off, so it's not a straight up and down four feet. Which means his crotch isn't really 4 feet off the ground. It's at least 4 and a half, likely more. So, a nice conservative estimate would be that he's actually about 9 feet tall. Closer to the stated seven feet, but still too big.
I mean, seriously, how big would the piece be on a nine-foot guy? It's mind boggling. Like my forearm? That's seriously terrifying. Vagina's end! They aren't an infinite tube that you can just endlessly shove things into. There's a cervix at the end of it, and let me tell you, if you haven't been rammed in the cervix before, you are very lucky. It hurts. A lot. So, yeah, the idea of a nine-foot alien shoving something the size of my forearm into any orifice sounds really not fun, and getting rammed in the cervix by it repeatedly, even less so.
Yeah, so, thanks for coming to my TED talk.
No really, I wish I could have ignored all of the size issues, but I just couldn't get past it. I wish the aliens had just been slightly bigger than a human, not Hulk sized. Actually, I think the descriptions of Braun make him bigger than the Hulk most times. It was just too much. I wanted to like this, but every time Angela and Braun were together, I was like...
And don't even get me started on the shower oral scene. Seven foot Braun stands and lifts Angela up so she's leaning against the wall with her legs over his shoulders? How tall are the ceilings in her bathroom?
These are things that keep me up at night.
I'll happily go back and read more of the original Interstellar Bride series, but I think all of these Atlan ones are just not for me. Dudes are just too big, and I don't get it.
These stories are just a comfort read for me, especially after reading deep or dark books. The story's line all feel the same with the same type of characters. But it's so charming, sweet, cute, and nice that it keeps me coming back even though it's a little repetitive and boring.
This is not my favorite series. I don't normally recommend it, and I may not ever finish reading all. However, days will come when I think about them and will listen to the audiobooks( free of course).
Good lord, who can deny an Atlan Warrior when his beast identifies his mate and cannot wait to make her his? Certainly not Angela when it comes to Braun and his ultimate goal to call her “Mine!” No matter how hard she tries!
I seriously couldn’t flip the pages fast enough when I read Maid for the Beast because I had to know how things worked out between Braun and Angela. Had to know they’d find their happily ever after—and that all that hotness would be unleashed! And how the “bachelor-esque” dating show was dealt with too. Because there was no way Braun was going to set foot on stage when he’d already found his mate.
I love this brilliant, fun, sexy as all get out Interstellar Brides Program: The Beasts spinoff and cannot wait to see what happens once the Warriors are unleashed. I know it’s going to be epic! ~ Missy, 5 stars
Okay, if you read this book and don't immediately fall into instant like with Braun... I don't even know what to tell you. This alien was amazing and Angela got really lucky. Hot and entertaining, if all of Goodwin's books are like this, I'll be reading her entire list.
I didn’t expect to love this book so much! I am certainly very eager to read more from this author and this universe. Who knew aliens could be do swoon worthy? I absolutely loved this. It was fast paced, heartwarming and steamy. I loved Braun and his beast!! I seriously recommend it if you are looking for something light yet well written and sizzling.
This is book 2 in the series. There’s a few references to book 1, and while I’d recommend listening in order - this stands pretty well on its own.
Braun and Angela were instalove and instasex. They do go on a cute little “date” and actually spend quite a bit of time together given the timespan of the book. I loved Angela’s family and how Braun interacted with them.
There’s a jerk ex, a “big misunderstanding”, and some smaller ones that add a little angst - but overall this is a lot of sexy times between fated mates. There’s a surprise and a sweet HFN.
Narration: I really enjoyed Liam DiCosimo & Nicole Small here. They’re a great fit for their own characters and do a good job with all the other voices as well. Easy listen and I’d love to hear more of both of their work.
This was book 2 in the "Interstellar Brides® Program: The Beasts". An Atlan Warlord in Mating Fever with two choices: Be the latest bachelor beast on an Earth reality television show to find his perfect mate or face certain death in an Atlan prison. Angela was a maid working at the hotel where the contestants were staying. Angela isn't interested in being a mate but Braun's beast isn't interested in hearing that. I really liked both of these character's. I liked how they took there time getting to know each other. Braun had some issues with trying to over-control his beast because in the past, his father let himself lose control of his beast and be executed after his mate, and Braun's mother, was killed in a shuttle accident. Angela has some issues with her ex and Braun with do anything to protect her. This was a pretty good read that I listened to on audio.
While this new series is part of the Interstellar Brides Program, it has a unique twist that kept the pages turning as this tale unfolds. How to get more brides from Earth to want to go to the colony—reality television of Alien male and human females. After things with Warlord Wulf finding his mate, Olivia, who was not one of the contestants, they will try again, this time with Warlord Braun.
Due to production issues, the show is delayed on taping. Hotel maid, Angela Kaur, will be finishing up her day with one suite left to clean, the Presidential Suite. What a shock when she gets no answer and Braun comes out of the bathroom with only a towel, and there she is. His beast and he both realize quickly that she is their mate—but she won’t stick around long enough to learn that. The next day, things change; what will it hurt to have a fling.
“Because you are beautiful and perfectly curved, and you smell like—mine.”
The story will have so many things that get between Angela and Braun. She believes this is just a quick fling, he knows she is his mate, yet the story is full of issues between them. Braun is kind to her family and gains their respect. But trouble comes calling, and when it does, these two will be separated. Braun is sent from Earth, and Angela is lost without him—so many miscommunications lead to heartache and doubt.
“Atlan warlord, who failed to find his mate, was executed. Find love or be put to death. It was so dramatic.”
“I want no other. You are mine. My mate.”
The plot has the good, the bad, and the ugly in humans. Angela is a loving, caring person with great respect for her family, helping out financially for her Grandfather. But her ex, Kevin, is trouble, and his entitled lifestyle still rears its ugly head. People are quick to want to point fingers and lay blame rather than take responsibility. This story has a separation between Angela and Braun and leads both to think it is over. But as in all great tales, you must read the story. Best of all, it does have the coveted happily ever after ending.
“Life was weird and wonderful and full of surprises.
The Atlan’s are my favorite aliens in the Interstellar Brides Program! There is just something about them that I enjoy so much. Braun is no exception. Due to unforeseen difficulties production on the reality show of alien males meeting human females Braun is stuck on the show floor of a hotel. The same floor full of women fromt he show who do nothing for him or his beast. He already knows they aren’t for him. Then he meets Anglea.
Angela is simply doing her job and cleaning the room of the star of the show. Well, the replacement after Warlord Wulf ran off with a non contestant of the show. The moment Braun lays eyes on Angela both him and his beast knows she is their mate. There is no question about it and he will do whatever it takes to have her.
This one has plenty of twists and turns that y’all are going to love. Including why production is on hold. That made me laugh out loud. I will say that I loved how well Braun was with Angela’s family and her grandfather was so much fun.
I absolutely loved this story, Atlan Warlord Braun is just yummy. Angela is a maid working in the hotel that has the contestants of the Bachelor Beast reality tv program. Angela is cleaning Braun's room when he appears from the shower in a towel and she runs away in embarrassment. Braun chases her because he and his Beast scented his Mate in Angela. They meet and it's a lot of sex and fun discoveries. There's a lot of humor to be had as Braun gets to met Oscar (the grouchy white Persian cat) and Howard, the alligator her gramps tries to keep as a pet. The problem is, Angela is not a contestant on the tv show. Although Braun and Angela get along just fine there are complications that keep them apart. Without revealing too much, they do solve their problems and eventually get their HEA. You're going to fall in Love with Braun and maybe even her gramps a little.
At long last, Atlan Warlord Braun will find his mate! ***** Rating: 3 stars Steam: 3 flames Genre: Alien/Sci-Fi Romance / Fated Mates ***** Warlord Braun is at the end of his rope. The mating fever is strong and if he doesn't find a mate soon, he will have to be executed in a cold Atlan prison cell. Braun has been sent to Earth to resume the Bachelor show that Warlord Wulf was supposed to find his mate on, but instead found his mate in a makeup artist for the show. So far, Braun's beast has not been impressed with any of the contestants and the show hasn't even started.
That is all about to change. Angela, has had no luck in the love department, works as a maid to support herself, put herself through nursing school and help pay for her grandfather's medicine. Imagine her surprise when she enters the Presidential suite (where the new Alien Bachelor is staying), to find a large, gorgeous alien standing before her in nothing but a towel…
Of course, she does what any woman would do. She gawks and then panics and runs, with a naked warlord chasing after her. What she doesn't know is she isn't getting away that easy.
This story was cute, and the secondary characters were great. Oscar, Howard, and Gramps were great additions to the cast and had me cracking up. I liked the story and will continue to read Grace Goodwin's Interstellar Brides series.
I have listened/read a handful of these so I already know they are mostly for fun and spicy quick reads, I was really uninterested. The entire ex-boyfriend drama was really boring and predictable I have to say. I would honestly skip this one and continue on to the rest of the Beast series if you like the Interstellar Brides program. To be honest, you literally get the entire story in the next one, Beauty and The Beast and that storyline is better. This was almost a DNF for me...I skipped forward a lot and even had the speed up to 2.1x
I should probably start by saying that, in general, I’ve been impressed by the number of books the duo behind Grace Goodwin manage to turn out each year, and have been reading my way through this series to see what the quality standard is for authors so prolific in the mostly-eBook sales driven world of sci-fi romance publishing.
(It’s a genre I myself have considered working in, and I’ve wanted to get a feel for what’s out there).
And by and large, I’ve come away having really enjoyed a lot of Goodwin’s work—there was a point at which plots were steadily improving, characters were becoming more well rounded and dynamic, and the world-building, which has always been where this multiple-series spanning universe truly shines, was only getting more deep and fascinating with each book.
But that all seems to have fallen apart with the Bachelor Beasts series.
I can’t begin to convey how sloppy this book felt, start to finish—whether it was simple errors like describing a shirt as one colour early on in a scene and then changing the colour later, or referring to the main character Angela’s ex-boyfriend by two different names in two consecutive paragraphs.
The plot felt rushed, contrived, and implausible—even for sci-fi.
And after having seen so much of Braun in Goodwin’s previous books, the Warlord is practically unrecognizable here—it’s like the writers took all their past work on characterization and tossed it out the window in order to deliver a bland nothing burger of a character.
The sex scenes were also shockingly lacklustre, which in this genre is definitely the real book killer—you can get just about every aspect of a sci-fi romance wrong and readers will keep coming back, without fail, for red hot alien sex. Unfortunately, if that’s what you want in a romance—look elsewhere. Every scene in this book felt perfunctory and dull, and the characters had so little believable chemistry that I was left wondering if I’d simply imagined that previous Goodwin books had held any spark of romantic tension.
Instalove is a hard trope to sell, especially when you’re repeatedly told how fascinated the couple is with each other, but never shown.
There’s nothing good to say about this book, honestly. There’s a cat in it. That was nice, I guess. And a beef jerky-loving alligator named Howard.
When the friendship between an alligator named Howard and one of the protagonist’s grandfathers is the most compelling relationship in your romance novel, that’s probably a key sign you’ve taken a wrong turn somewhere.
I’ve become a tentative Goodwin fan over the last year, and I’ll keep reading in the genre because I continue to be blown away by the rate at which authors in this subgenre seem to publish.
But it’s reading books like this that makes me wonder if quantity doesn’t sometimes come at the expense of quality.
“Maid for the Beast” is the second book in the The Beasts series which is part of the Interstellar Brides Program and it does not disappoint! We continue to salivate over these Interstellar sexy, HOT Warriors, as they overcome many adversities. Once again, the humans are determined to get a ‘Bachelor and the Beast show’ on air…and once again, the Warlord Braun and his Beast are not impressed with any of the contestants. The mating fever is strong and if he doesn’t find a mate soon, he will be executed in a cold Atlan prison cell. Angela was a maid working at the hotel where the contestants were staying. Angela, has had no luck in the love department, works as a maid to support herself, puts herself through nursing school and helps pay for her grandfather's medicine. As, she enters the Presidential suite, where Braun is staying, she sees a large, gorgeous alien standing before her in nothing but a towel……Oooooh Braun and his Beast recognize her, immediately as their mate and the story takes off from there!! Grace Goodwin knows how to deliver a story with great dialogue, strong characters, lots of surprises and steamy, sexy fun to keep it a page turner from the first page!! Can’t wait for the next Book!!!
The Interstellar Brides series takes place at a time where aliens are real and there are several different planets and species. There is a galactic enemy known as the hive, which is a technological species that invades planets and either kills its inhabitants or transforms their captives into one of them. A coalition was formed between the planets who are at war with the hive. Each member of the coalition is required to supply soldiers and brides to the cause. Soldiers to fight the hive, and brides to repopulate the diminished that have fallen victim to the war. Earth has become a member of the coalition. The Colony Series takes place alongside the interstellar bride series, but focuses solely on the residents of the Colony. The colony houses veterans of war, tainted with Hive technology. They cannot or will not return to their home worlds because of their cyborg hive tech, so they live the remainder of their lives on the colony. Even though brides have been sent to the colony through the interstellar testing system, it hasn’t been enough. Especially for the Atlans and their temperamental beasts. That’s where this spinoff comes in. Through hard work and PR, the human females of the colony have inspired a network to create a reality show for Atlan aliens. Similar to the Bachelor, women are narrowed down until one remains, and the beast offers his cuffs to the winner (opposed to the final rose and a proposal). Unfortunately, anyone who knows how Atlans work, would know that this setup is doomed to fail. Atlans are humanoid. They are massive in size (the largest of the alien species), and they have a split personality of sorts that is referred to as their “beast.” Their beast lives inside them, very much with its own personality, and only comes out during danger or mating fever. When the beast comes out to play, they grow bigger - with elongated fangs, sharp facial features and bulging muscles - and their main personality takes a backseat behind the scenes. Their beast won’t accept just any mate. They are very particular about who they consider “mine.” Did I mention that the Atlans are my favorite of the alien species? 🫶🏻
Written in first person, Maid for the Beast is book 2 in this series and follows the human bride Angela Kaur and her Atlan cyborg Warlord Braun. We first met Braun in book 3 of the colony series “Cyborg Seduction.” He has made several appearances since then, and I must admit, the poor guy has been shafted too many times. He made a claim on Lindsey in the pits before Hunter Kiel showed up to claim her as his marked mate. He sat next to Makarios, sharing intentions on how he planned to woo Gwen, as a bunch of warriors fought over her in the pits. Gwen unfortunately turned out to be Mak’s mate. He even lusted after Lucy, who was Olivia’s babysitter that came with her to the colony. Unfortunately, she saw Braun as a big brother opposed to a mate or lover. The guy just couldn’t catch a break. So I was completely thrilled that he FINALLY met his mate in this book. Braun was chosen to be the 2nd contestant for the bachelor beast show. During the filming delay, he ran into Angela, a maid for the hotel, while cleaning his room. His beast knew instantly that Angela was the one for him and the rest of the book was filled with mishaps and idiocy. Braun was distracted by drama involving Angela’s ex to get his cuffs on her. I was screaming at the book while the two were on their knees getting ready to be held for questioning “fucking tell her now Braun!” But no, he didn’t, and he was transferred back to the colony without her. Angela ease dropped on a meeting that mistakenly misinformed its listeners claiming that Braun was on the colony with his matched mate. Because her calls to the interstellar office were going unanswered, she assumed the rumors to be true. Then, when he finally transported back to Earth to claim her, Braun sees Angela curled on the couch next to her gay best friend and misconstrued the situation. Instead of knocking on the door and getting clarification, he chose to die of mating fever back in Atlan’s holding cells. 🤦♀️ Thank god Braun knocked Angela up, which forced her to seek guidance from Warden Egara, or this book would’ve had a completely different ending. I have never been as frustrated as I was with this damn book. 🙄🙄
There have been way too many romance novels I’ve read that had me frustrated and yelling “Jesus Christ, when are they gonna fuck?! Get to the good shit already!” When we’re 50% in, and the main characters have barely kissed each other, leaves readers like me aggravated. Don’t get me wrong, I love me a well written buildup to sex, but most are anticlimactic. This is NOT one of those books. While Grace Goodwin has added more adventures as the series progressed, it is still, quite literally, word porn.
If you are reading this book, and all its associated spin-offs, in chronological order, I recommend reading this after book 21 of the Interstellar Bride series and before book 3 of the Beast series. As I’ve read through this series and all its spin offs, I can attest that the plot is incredibly addictive. I am way too invested in each book, in all its adventure and romance. This book was no exception. Highly recommend.

Hmmm. I find the continued kinks with the Brides Program suspect.
Why hasn't there been a more complete informational process that arms these Warlords and all other Atlan and Prillon warriors with functional probabilities, information, and contingencies that surely, being warriors who battle and understand strategy, offensive and defensive tactics and planning, would be USEFUL to their purposes and successful mating?
I have a theory: either the Atlan and Prillon warriors, along with their leaders, are idiots, or Grace Goodwin is milking the alien bride program cow until it dries up. I cannot imagine how much some fans have spent feeding their frenzy for these books that consist of reconstituted, redressed, and regurgitated plots and slight shifting of details that have, if the number of reviews are to be believed, added considerable mass to her accounts. Please come up with something new, exciting, and ORIGINAL!
The editing has greatly improved, admittedly, as I did buy a few of the original stories chronicling Atlan and Prillon matings. They were horribly edited, and I doubt they were truly proofread by means other than autocorrect. But, come on! They all aesthetically amount to the same plotline and outcome: Atlan warlord scents, pursues, subdues/seduces, claims, overcomes an obstacle or two, maybe saves her from nastiness or she saves him from execution or death by insanity, cuffs, claims and has an HEA. Yawn. Seen that already - seen many variations of exciting kidnappings, ex boyfriend rampages, interference, or meddling, and space chases, battles, and so on. You're not gonna get anything more (except pricier installments - her books will cost you a mini!um of $5 and change for a page count that's barely better than a novella. Not. Worth. It. Find copies from your local state library of you must. One and a half stars, because there really were a lot less rypos!
Grace Goodwin you have another winner on your hands and every book since this one was just as amazing. This was a quick read and I say that because I couldn’t put it down, do I wish it was longer yes but it was written so well it didn’t need to be. Warlord Braun is losing it and must find a mate ASAP and so now he is the next Bachelor Beast on a earth reality show and he has twenty five women to choose from but so far he’s beast is not interested in anyone of them until a chance meeting with a maid that’s come to clean his room and catches him coming from the shower in a towel and straight away his beast wants her and so does Braun but how can he make it happen when she turns to run out the door why of course you chase after her. Angela Kaur is a maid at the hotel the reality show guest are staying but never did she imagine she would see a lot more of Warlord Braun the hot alien coming out of the shower after she entered his room to clean it, embarrassed being caught staring at his perfect body she turns and leaves but she is shocked to find the warlord is chasing after her but why?. They meet again the next day and the sparks that erupt between is hot as for Braun he has found his mate in Angela and for her she just wants to be with him but is not sure she should get involved with someone that doesn’t live on earth but as soon as he touches her she cannot deny there attraction to each other. There is drama that always follows these aliens beasts and getting there mate is never easy and ex’s getting in the way and earths laws are a problem but it’s so worth the thrill and the ride to watch it unfold on the pages. What an amazing read this was and I know you won’t be disappointed.

Braun is on Earth from The Colony to be the latest sacrifice...make that, contestant...of the Bachelor Beast program...but the show is delayed as the emcee has a case of "Pink Eye" so while coming out of his shower Braun encounters the woman he knows is His Mate...except he didn't hear her knock or announce she was coming into room to clean and replenish his towels and soaps....and he didn't get her name as she fled, with him following in nothing but a towel...so since he couldn't avoid the twenty-four contestants that his beast already decided weren't for him, he stalked back to his room...waiting for "her" to return the following day...and then learned his mate's name was Angela Kaur a hotel maid going to nursing school, with beautiful dark skin, thanks to her Punjab Indian heritage...and after agreeing to sneak out of the hotel with her, went to her apartment and met a small, hissing creature with claws named Oscar after Oscar the Grouch, her white Persian cat...Braun wasn't sure about the creature, but the loud purring emitting from it confirmed what Angela said about the cat liking him...but with twenty-four beautiful contestants why would he choose her??? After spending time together, Braun was convinced she was his and his beast was in agreement...so they agreed to meet again after her class...but you will need to read this twisting, turning story to see what happens along the road to a HEA for the intrepid Warlord...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Maid for the Beast is the second book in the Interstellar Brides Program: The Beasts series, but can be read as a stand alone. Braun is the next Bachelor Beast, but he realizes before the show even starts that he’s found his mate. Angela is a maid, not associated with the show at all, but can’t help but feel drawn to Braun. When an incident with her ex sends Braun off earth unexpectedly, will Angela get a chance to see him again, and will he be able to convince her that she’s his true mate?
Oh my, what another fantastic addition to this series and world! Angela and Braun were so cute together, exploring her life together, and I adored his interactions with her family! There’s so much respect, care, protection, and love within these pages that once I started this book, I didn’t want to stop. Angela was so sweet, cared for her family deeply, had some crappy ex’s, but I loved how respected and cherished she felt in her short amount of time with Braun. And what a beast Braun was! He had so much control, so much pain from his past, but I loved how it didn’t stop him for letting Angela call the shots or to try new things with her. They had such chemistry between them, some pretty intense steamy scenes, but the only thing I didn’t love was that he kept his beast almost a secret from his mate for so long. There’s a lot of drama in this book, some which was unexpected, which was a lot of fun to see what else Ms. Goodwin can come up with in this world! I love this series! I love the Atlans! And I can’t wait to see what she will come up with next!
