I actually liked this story quite a bit aside from
That knocked a full star off from this review, but if I those were left out, holy heck the rest of this story was fun to experience. I loved the skank getting what she had coming to her, and all the puzzle pieces coming together by the ending.

I had heard mention of this book and finally was able to read it.
Home for the Holidays was filled with quirky chaos, and comical quips and scenes.
Samantha needs a mind to mouth filter, and it was hilarious. Jared falls in love with her antics and personality. And it is so beautiful.
Thoroughly enjoyed this story!

It had promise ..

Kind of got whip lash at the end. Unless it’s suppose to be a cliffhanger? Kind of disappointed. I hope her sister in law didn’t get back together with the twat brother.. the story of the main characters was unfinished . I even had to go back and double check that the book was over since i was actually enjoying the book until it suddenly ended.

This books title is totally wrong for this book. The only holiday about it is that maybe five percent of it takes place during Christmas and that’s mostly at the end of the book. It starts as the FMC goes home for Christmas but the entirety of the book is told in flashbacks as the FMC reminisces on how she met and fell for the MMC.

The actual plot/subplot of the book is of the FMC getting revenge on the OW who stole her brother away from her sister in law and their twins had my interest as this was an unusual twist on getting revenge on a homewrecker. Especially as it was from someone who was not involved in the heartbreak.

However, while the build up to the revenge was so great it unfortunately fell so flat in the end. Other than the FMC finding out all the dirt on the OW we only get one or two pages of the OW being called out about I don’t remember what and the sister in law supposedly beating her up. The OW cry’s and that’s it! There was no major revenge or comeuppance for her. The cheating brother is treated like a trauma victim and excused of his part in everything because he was once a good guy who had this happen to him. While yes that is technically true as he was targeted by the OW, that in no way excuses his complicity in falling for everything so easily! On top of that he abandoned his daughters at birth because someone else(OW) said so.

I felt this whole plot failed to come to fruition as it was basically the whole point of the story. The FMC and MMC getting together was the predominant storyline of the book as it is a romance but it was also executed so poorly. It took over nearly every scene. The FMC will be in the middle of a discussion on her “plans” for the OW but then will mentally wander off into her memories on all the sex she had with the MMC. Like she is talking to her father, BAM sex scene with the MMC, talking to her cheating brother, BAM another sex scene with the MMC, talking to her sister in law, BAM more sex scenes with the MMC, the FMC will be talking to the MMC about her plans, and BAM into a past sex scene between the two of them, and repeat. It was ridiculous.

This would have been fine if the actual conclusion of the revenge had actually happened. But other than the OW being a spoilt tool a few times throughout the book and that one two paragraph beat down scene, that’s it. That’s all that happens. The book sort of ends with the OW left outside the house crying after the barely there beating.

Honestly I was so disappointed. So much build up only to get a whole lot of nothing. We don’t even get the promised reveal to the brother about the OW’s manipulations. I wanted that whole confrontation! But nope. Nothing.

Anyway, I liked the FMC and the MMC. This could have been written completely differently and still have been the same book. Good luck.

Samantha's brother had it all until he fell for a carefully constructed trap and Samantha is determined to reveal the snake for who she is. With her actions she ruined her brothers marriage feeding him a bunch of lies and Samantha is ready for her to take the bait. The one thing she did not plan on was Jared, she had hoped to get him to agree to help her out since he was part of the snakes past but when she meets him for the first time in her life she is not fully with it, the man is stunning not like the nerd he is supposed to be.

Jared was intrigued by Samantha so he dug into who she was, which he didn't find much of. Meeting her she is beautiful and a bit crazy too. Jared decides the more he gets to know her the more she is the woman he is going to build a future with. First though he needs to help her take out the trash so his Samantha can reign in her crazy a bit.

This was a fun one. Jared is pure alpha material and Samantha is nuts. Reminded me a bit of Gabriel's Promise which is one my favorites from this author. Really fun holiday read.

3.5-Good read. Wish there was an epilogue. I liked it. I loved Jared, he was awesome. Samantha-fierce and protective and I loved that she couldn't keep her thought in her head.

Her brother Tom, left his wife Deidre because her best friend, Tessa at the time set out to sabotage their marriage.

“Samantha, go upstairs and bring me those doilies I ironed and left on the bed in the guestroom,” Mom ordered, and I obeyed. But not before motioning with my fingers to my eyes and back at the tart in that age-old mime of ‘I’m keeping my eyes on you.’ B*tch! I passed my brother the a*shole in the hallway, “Hey Saman...tha.” It will be an over frozen day in hell before I ever speak to his sorry a*s again. I found the nineteen-fifties monstrosities mom sent me after and carried them back downstairs in time to hear mom trying to calm down the a*s she’d given birth to five years before she was blessed with me.

“Samantha, this has got to stop. It’s been two years; how long are you going to act like this?” My brother Tom was on his sh*t again. I must’ve heard that same refrain or some variation of it every time we were in the same room in the last two years. “Mom, do you hear that whining sound? I think the heater’s out again.”

Her sister-in-law’s best friend Tessa, set her up to be caught in a compromising position and without speaking to his wife, he shacked up with said woman for two years, denounced his wife and twin girls.

Samantha is depicted as being beautiful and brainy, no deterrent to the hormonal teenage males at school with her, but her father’s Glock was. He chaperoned her prom, and her date held her about two miles away from him for every dance.

Remembering their conversation that night after their date, having followed them to make certain she got home safely. “That was poorly done, dad. I got good grades, got into your alma mater, the least you could do is let me fulfill at least one high school dream.” “Not on my watch, kid. He’s not worthy of you; none of them are. Trust me; you’ll thank me one day.”

Had Tom taken the time to listen to his wife...he might not have abandoned his wife and twin girls as easily as he did and might have salvaged his marriage. I would not have taken him back.

Samantha is depicted as beautiful, with a borderline genius mind, that she exercises for good or evil. After an awkward day spent with her brother, Tom and Beelzebub’s bed wench; she went to no contact. It was hard being apart from her brother, their bond was such that he could detect her plotting. Then again, the longer he played the a*s, the easier it became to be genuinely put out with him.

She finally meets with Jared, a sinfully wealthy caveman ... and Tessa’s ex-fiancé. Her inner musings muttered out loud, puts this OTT encounter as highly entertaining, especially his crotch rocket.

Inconsistency

‘The slacks hung on my hips just right, and the white silk button-down contoured to my waist and hugged my embarrassingly huge t*ts in ways that I had no control over, but at least they were covered’.

‘Her t*ts though not overly small, are just the right size and fit in my hands and mouth perfectly’.

Tessa is a simple-minded twit whose high school mean girl popularity went to her head, all she had to offer society. Now as a grown woman she still acts like a dingbat.

“Seriously what did you see in her?” She turned her ire my way. I leaned in and sucked on her bottom lip. “Get her baby! I love my fierce, beautiful nerd.” She shivered at my whispered words and gave me that special look as if forgetting we had an audience. I ran my finger down her cheek and admonished her to behave. “Not now, baby, unless you’re done.” I inclined my head towards Tessa, who was looking at us as if transfixed. We tend to have that effect on people.

Told from Samantha, Jared and Tom’s perspective.

Absolutely loved! I'm a sucker for the over the top, crazy in love alphas. You give me one of those and I'm sold. Add in a heroine I actually don't want to hurt and hello, winner! I mean OML...I love Samantha. She SO reminds me of Camille from Sassy Curves or Dove from Kicking & Screaming, both of which I loved! It was sweet, funny and hot - all the things I want in a romance, with such a great writing style that I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to get the whole story.

Ok

Slightly different from most of Jordan Silver's books. This was a story of a sister trying to help her idiot brother get out of the clutches of a woman who broke up his marriage and prevented him from getting to know his twin baby girls. Of course, during the process the sister also finds her HEA.

Same book, just retold over and over again

Wow. The first 10% of this book had me excited! it was funny and I loved the idea of the sister going and doing what was right after what her brother did. Then it went downhill with mouth vomit stupidity, 13 inch c***, beautiful blond busty female lead , and wanting to pop a cherry. This could have been an amazing book, it had the material for an amazing book! But somehow Jordan silver makes it a raunchy, weirdly violent abusive love story. I only kept reading because I wanted to see what happened, but was totally let down by w.e in the h*'ll this was! It's like she gets a good idea for a story, it always starts out intriguing only to become the same love story she does for ever book she writes. Then it's like she forgets about the storyline she began with and continues to just write the same psycho billionaire who gets jealous, chokes his new women while beating her vag in with his enormous c*** that no one can seem to take. Sound familiar? Well yeah, it's every freaking Jordan silver book.

Loved, Loved, Loved Samantha and Jared

No one does crazy Christmas stories like Jordan Silver. I read His Xmas Surprise, My Holiday Joy and A Family for Christmas every December. Now I have Home for the Holidays to add to my list. Loved Samantha and Jared's brand of crazy.
Two years ago, Samantha's adored big brother walked out on his pregnant wife and moved in with her best friend. Convinced she was cheating on him. Samantha has spent the last two years trying to find out what really happened.
Her research leads her to billionaire alpha nerd, Jared. Six years her senior, he pretty much went caveman and claimed her the day they met.
With Jared's help, her parents support, Deidre, her former sister in laws consent. Samantha is going to take down the woman her tore apart her family.
Fast space, very steamy, and laugh out loud crazy. Told from multiple points of view. Samantha and Jared are hilarious. She is hell on wheels and gives as good as she gets. She may call her man a nerd, Jared is all alpha, and Samantha owns him. Tom has his reasons so don't judge to harshly until you hear his side of the story. Tessa is crazy and Deidre is sweet but no push over. loved the parents. Then ending is abrupt, really needs more of an epilogue.

Whew! What a ride!

Jordan’s latest has me in love with her! My favorite is, and will always be, Talon’s Heart, but this book is a close second. It has a spirited heroine, a strong, sexy hero and enough drama to keep you turning the pages. I read this under KU, but will purchase so that it will be mine forever!

I skimmed this one A LOT.

Lots of spoilers below!

Sam's brother, Tom is a stupid d*ck-head. Tessa is the OW who used to be BFF with Deirdre, the brother's wife. But now Tom is supposedly affianced to Tessa, while Deirdre and her twin daughters live down the street from his parents. The twin daughters that Tom refuted as being his but has never done a DNA test because, well, he's stupid.
Then there's Jared who was briefly affianced with Tessa back in the day.
The romance between Jared and Sam is cute but boring.
The romance between Tom and Deirdre is pretty non-existent.
Sam decides to show Tom how evil Tessa is in a big reveal on Thanksgiving.
But the whole story is so contrived it made no sense.
Like no sense at all.
The story winds up too quickly and doesn't show Tom groveling. He doesn't even apologize. He just says why he kicked her to the curb and refused his children missing the first 2 years of their lives.
Deirdre doesn't take him back right away but it's pretty clear that she's going to be a pushover. But we don't even get to wallow in it. Instead we get her beating up Tessa. I liked that, but I would have preferred watching Tom grovel because he was a world class dumbass.

So not satisfying really.
safety is fine for Jared and Sam but not for the other two.

I am loving this new writing style of JS 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. I kind of gave up of JS as I really did not like her one sided story telling of past books but now - oh boy, JS is on to something good here

I LOVED Samantha, and I loved how she went after Tessa. The insults and the witty banter was really fun to read. Although she did threaten Tessa as bit much with no action, it did seems over the top and repetitive.

Samantha and Jared together was fun to read as I got to know them better. I wasn't crazy about them in the beginning but they grew on me.

Samantha is feisty and I loved that she knows how to throw a punch😉😉😉😉. It was fun to read.

Tom is an ass, I loved Deidre, she was sweet and I liked that she took no crap from Tom. I can't see them getting back together as Tom does not deserve her and again he is an ass😠😠😠😠.

With all JS books you know you will get an OTT Possessive hero with a long...... yes that 😉. Sex was great to read as always.

So, if you love your OTT possessive caveman heroes like I do, than JS never disappoints. This new writing style has real dialogue happening between all parties - H & h and secondary characters as well - loving it!

I will recommend this book as it is a fun and enjoyable read.

Synopsis doesn’t give it justice

After reading the synopsis I was between reading this book and not but I’m really glad I did. Samanthas brother Tom had left his wife Deirdre and twin girls for his wife’s best friend. Samantha wants to get revenge on the slut for ruining her brothers marriage, as she is searching for all the evidence to find out what really happened to cause her brother to divorce his wife, Samantha meets Jared, he literally sweeps her off her feet.
There is lots of sex, lots of fighting, at the start of the story we know that Samantha and Jared will get together although a few others try to get in the way of their relationship, some hilarity as the heroine keeps speaking out loud what’s inside her head. I have given this five stars and will read it again as I really enjoyed it, I’m hoping that maybe there might be a spin off novella for Tom? As there are a couple of questions remaining which makes me think that there could be.

I liked Jared. I thought Sam did to much threatening which was over the top and repetitive but, I liked her. Her brother and Deidre are inconceivable to ME with that amount of betrayal. Now I know some people can forgive and move on from such pain especially with kids involved but unfortunately that's not me and it's hard to understand when they do it. The back an forth with the past and present is typical JS so I can look past that. However, the non-ending of the story left me a little perplexed because that is unlike her. I felt the story could have used an epilogue to wrap up the story line, it seemed a little unfinished. Nevertheless, if you are a fan of insta-love, over the top alphas who like to choke and spank because their woman likes it, a witty herione then check this out. Happy reading! 🙋🏽‍♀️

such high hopes

This book, was confusing in parts cause we would have flashbacks in the same paragraph as the current timeline. There is no way Tom should’ve ever been forgiven, I don’t care if it had been a year and a half. Deidre and her children deserve better cause what do you mean you never said your children from birth until Christmas two years later?! Nope! Never!

Also I know we know what Tessa did, but I wanted the big reveal at the table so everyone knew how Tessa was evil! I am glad Deirdre got her lick back with her but still!

Overall, it was a fun read and it was rather quick, it had all the Jordan Silver fun but it was hard to like it as much as the others cause it didn’t have the same kind of payout in the end.

OTT JS classic book ! Quick interesting and at times funny read. Loved the main H and h together.

What I liked - family aka mom and dad ! H and h relationship and compatibility.

Would have liked her brother seeing the DNA results even though he finally realized they were his kids. Glad her sister in law didn’t automatically forgive him but made room for him to get to know the kids.

Her brother was not a typical JS male. Leaving his wife and having nothing to do with his kids because he believed the skank. But we still got the typical JS males in the main H and her dad.

Thought there would be more retribution for the skank. But disappointed.

Would have loved an epilogue.

Glad I read it and will likely read again sometime.

What an amazing mixture of everything I love about a Jordan Silver book - side splitting humor, a well-endowed alpha, great side characters, a nasty villain and in this case, an amazingly strong, independent heroine! Samantha is a super smart college student who sees her family falling apart because of her brother’s stupidity. Not willing to allow that to continue, she takes matters into her own hands and ends up meeting Jared (the “not a nerd” nerd). Cue the fireworks... These two are absolutely perfect for each other and set about righting the wrongs in Samantha’s family! I loved every minute of this book and hope Jordan finds a way to do a sequel! Yummy, yummy!

Christmas of revenge

This holiday season the family will gather together to toast good cheer and plot to take out the skank that caused Samantha's brother to split with his pregnant wife. Samantha will stop at nothing to put right what that evil woman, Tessa, has caused but she will need help. Not only will she need the help of parents, but she will has to enlist the help of Tessa's ex. It doesn't help that he's a nerd like her and 100% adonis. She's having a hard time thinking clearly with all the heat between them, jelly brain, and drooling (you get the picture).

It's a case of insta-chemistry and steamy love.

3.5 stars. When Samantha's brother cheats on his pregnant wife, she knows that there is more to the story. She realizes that the new girlfriend set it up to look like her sister in law had cheated. When she contacts the girlfriend's former fiance Jared to help her get revenge, they fall in love. There is of course plenty of kinky sex, it is Jordan Silver but not so that it overwhelms the story or the plot. I enjoyed this story and I thought that Jared was an over the top Alpha but toned down in comparison to some of the heroes in Silver's books. So he was just the right amount of Alpha. Quick and enjoyable read with the right amount of smut.

Listened to the book with the computer generated voice...good story, crappy narration.

Cheating = h's brother cheated on his wife with OW; no cheating involving the h and H

OW drama = OW had been bff with the brother's wife who fabricated evidence to indicate the wife was cheating and that the kids she had were not the brother's. OW had previously been engaged to the H. h and H worked together to bring down the OW, but it was rather tame in actuality. OW gets confronted with her lies and runs off with her tail between her legs. Brother and wife reconcile and HEA for all.

Mega buildup, how heroine scemes and has this plan.. for 2 years. This epic plan how to expose everything about OW and make her pay, "there is no coming back" etc. In the story there are clues, like OW says she has nobody, is orphan, but heroine knows different - but we are kept waiting for the big smackdown in the end.

Well... the author forgot it. Like there was no smackdown, no big revelations. The brother said he was done had OWs ex said she wanted his money. That is it. How OW planned, manipulated, why brother believed her was never addressed. Also nothing more from OW-s past.

Jordan Silver is such a guilty pleasure read. 99% of the books ive read have me over the top loving them. Sometime about the revenge plots make me excited and giddy. This one did not disappoint.

Samantha is the baby of her family and her older brother Tom has been manipulated by his ex wife's bestfriend into believing his wife cheated so the best friend Tessa can get with him. Sam doesnt play nice and the amount of sass she brings made me love this story. its not deep but its so fun to read these books.

Excelente!!!

This writer is excellent!!! Her main focus is always her characters therefore you truly enjoy the story from beginning to end.

You can’t help but laugh along with the characters on their daily life.

Warning: you in will go through withdrawals until she finishes and publishes her next book. The good thing about her books is that you never get tired of re-reading them.

You will fall in love with Samantha and Jared and all the characters in this book.

Another Great Read From: Jordan Silver

This short story was awesome. Loved the way the sister step up to fix the problem that her brother couldn’t do because he was to busy being an dummy. She was sassy, and smart and can kick butt to boot. Loved the spark between her and Jared when they first met. Loved that Tessa got what was coming to her. Overall another great read by Jordan Silver!!!
