Doctor Who returns with the comic debut of an iconic 70s TV villain! After narrowly escaping the Weeping Angels and the Autons in 1960s London, the Tenth and Thirteenth Doctor must team-up once again to save present-day Earth from being overrun by a race of aquatic villains. Who else can they turn to for help but Rose Tyler, leader of the human resistance!
#1 - "This is all wrong. INCREDIBLY wrong. EXCEPTIONALLY wrong." - 13th . The first part of Doctor Who Vol. 1: Alternating Current I will never give a DW Titan Comics volume any rating below 3, however, this one was probably among the least memorable.
This is a part of an on-going storyline so it can get a tad confusing. What remains constant is the sense of fun and quintessential British humour that pepper the Doctor's time-traveling adventures.
I really like the style. I already enjoyed the previous series of 13 and 10 teaming up, and this one promises more of the same. Only this time, it is Sea Devils. And probably something else. The voice of the 13th Doctor and the Fam is recreated perfectly and I like the artwork. The setting is interesting. Looking forward to the next in the series.
