Really satisfying how Coates brings together threads. Without saying too much, I'd point out that it's great to see characters who have never interacted finally confront one another. BP continues to be about ideas, moreso now, as various factions challenge one another's ideologies, but we're now seeing the consequences of those ideas, too, and that's what is making the story build and build.

The Best Of: Black Panther #10
1. The image of Shuri in her headdress flying down with birds surrounding her to lecture Aneka.
2. Shuri not taking any of Ayo's crap and shutting her right down like the total queen that she is.
3. Shuri's lecture to Aneka. "No. How dare you . You were the guardian of throne and country. And now I, having cast aside my life for you, find the Dora Milaje and their capatain turned jambazi! What has come of you, Aneka? What of your oath to the nation? To me ?"
4. Shuri dishing out a cold slice of reality to the Midnight Angels and being 1000% unapologetic about it. She is officially my favorite Black Panther character.
5. T'Challa and Changamire just sitting in his office and having a chat about philosophy and kings and the dilemma their country faces.
6. Changamire's concern for Ramonda. It wounds me in a way it probably shouldn't.
7. T'Challa coming clean, confessing to making a mistake, and actually apologizing for it. I thought this scene was particularly powerful because so often leaders are afraid to say they're sorry to their people. "I had believed myself superior to my ancestors. But all it took was the proper amount of pain for me to return to the traditions of old. For even thinking such a thing, I am sorry. I apologize to you as a Wakandian, as a human being, and I apologize to my nation."
8. T'Challa also insisting the Changamire admit to some faults of his own.
9. "But we were supposed to be exceptional." "Wakanda is exceptional, Baba. And now, more than ever, we need someone to remind us."
10. Sibling banter between T'Challa and Shuri. I want to see them argue like siblings soon.

This is where Coates own myopic worldview gets the worst of him. Panther struggles to find a way to stop the growing revolution in his country. He is able to show that the leader of the revolution is actually a bad bad guy (not difficult). But he needs to convince the people. So, in a plan that only someone that became famous talking about himself at length could love, he he goes to the ideological forefather of the revolution--an aging Wakandan philosopher and tries to convince him to GIVE A SPEECH.
What makes it all the more laughable is that, to convince this WAKANDAN philosopher/academic that this WAKANDAN revolution is ill-conceived and bad for WAKANDA...Panther pulls off the shelf a copy of American Slavery, American Freedom. A book about the AMERICAN slaveholding experience (slavery based on racial superiority not exactly being a WAKANDAN thing)...
This is Coates at his most insufferable. The books is prominently displayed in 4-5 panels yet is wholly out of place in the context of isolationist Wakanda. Yet for Coates, all things can be explained through the lense of his own experience that surely it'll work for Black Panther too...

Good color artwork. One of three hundred comics marvel gave out on national read a book day, Sept six. This would be easier to review if it was 32pages. T'challa is attempting to win a fight for the hearts and minds of a people. Most revolutions kill more people than living under the "oppressors" . The people could save themselves but rarely act in their best interest.

What a phenomenal chapter. This catapulted both Changamire and T’Challa and I just love this book and it’s just phenomenal. I should’ve been reading this more. I can’t wait for the two part conclusion of this arc.
