A passionate affair of sizzling heat.
Forgotten and buried.
Because what happens in Brazil stays in Brazil.

That was the plan, anyway. Until Balthazar started to remember everything. Now he's forcing Leela to pay the ultimate price--by making her beg.

Every hot touch ignites her soul. Every smoldering glance makes her thighs clench. And worse, there's no escaping him.

They're on the run from a horde of warrior angels, protecting an innocent from a fate worse than death.

The High Council of Seraph has issued an edict.
Comply or die.

Love this series

Lexi C. Foss can do no wrong! I absolutely adore this series. I’ve been waiting for B and Leela’s story forever and I wasn’t disappointed. And OMG that epilogue! Lexi always does this. Her epilogues are a prelude to the next book, so this basically ended in a cliffhanger 😭. I can’t wait until the next book!

My Review

This series is so good but does need to be read in order as even though each book does tend to focus mainly on a single couple there’s an underlying story arc that means you would be lost if read as a stand-alone saying that the series is fantastic and so imaginative so I totally recommend giving it a go.

This time we are focusing on Balthazar a Hydraian elder and Leela a fertility Seraphim. We have had some backstory previously concerning these two and they are both integral characters to this ongoing saga. After the birth of Lizzie and Jay's baby and the escalation of danger in regards to the Seraphim council, these two set off on a journey together to mislead the trackers and give the rest time to prepare for the onset of war.

Balthazar is aware now of his and Leela’s previous hook-up in Brazil that was removed from his memories and he’s not happy about it. But there is even more going on than either of them could ever have imagined as the past is slowly peeled back and hidden players are unmasked leaving eyes finally opened to the truth. I was slightly heartbroken at the raw deal these two had been dealt previously and I also loved them as a couple they are both such unapologetic sensual creatures a definite match and this instalment definitely dialled up the heat in that regard.

Elsewhere we also have a lot of background stuff going on and things now seem to have reached a pivotal point in the story meaning this was definitely action-packed throughout setting a fast pace that built such momentum. I also appreciated that this had some Issac and Stas. I do so love these two and it was such a welcome addition to also get chapters from both their perspectives.

This was as usual well written this author always consistently delivers and here she has built such an intricate elaborate world where the world-building itself is first class and every character involved is so vivid and real that It’s so easy to get lost and emotionally invested.

I was greatly intrigued by the snippet and breadcrumbs left at the end of this and I’m very much looking forward to experiencing Eliza and Luc’s story next. It definitely hooked my attention that’s for sure and this was another good addition to the series as a whole. It effortlessly pulled me further into the whole immortal curse world and I totally recommend reading this series it’s up there with my favourite’s. I voluntary reviewed a copy of Wicked Bonds (Immortal Curse #7).

Honestly, this was just okay for me and I'm rather sad about it. The Immortal Curse world has long been a favorite PNR series of mine but Wicked Bonds lacked the depth and finesse to really deliver the impact I have come to expect.

And B......WTH?! No! Just no! As much as I have loved B's character throughout the series, this story delivered a watered down version of the fabulously OTT original. Not every character, no matter how wonderful, is meant to stand in the spotlight. Some shine the brightest from the sidelines. My unpopular opinion is that B was a better character prior to this book.

Loved the epilogue though and am, very much, looking forward to Luc and Eliza's story.

Hats off to Lexi, she never disappoints!

What a hot and tasty morsel of a story! I would not expect anything less from Lexi when it came to Balthazar and Leela’s escapade. The passion that they share is addicting and completely intoxicating. They are a true match made in heaven.

The plot has thickened throughout this story and twist at the end of the book leaves me anxious for the next installment. It can’t come soon enough!!

I only finished this a few hours ago but I needed to get this review done before I forgot what random words I generally cobble together to make a review. I'll admit that I am a little jealous when I see a book advertised with a snippet from an Amazon or Goodreads review and I think, one day that will be me. And then I remember that most of my reviews are an assortment of written poop falling from my fingers to the computer and now on your screen. You're welcome.

Can I say that I loved the fuck out of this book and really this entire series. Each one brings a little further along this journey, giving enough of the overall storyline to intrigue and excite, whilst making us crave more. I really like the way Leela and B's relationship unfolded in a way I didn't expect at all. Also given that both main characters are basically sex gods, this was muchos in the steam department (though I actually expected more kink, which is probably more a comment on me being a complete pervert than anything about the actual book). My only criticism was that I feel like initially there was way too much focus on B being this epic sex god in bed. I mean, I get it. This is a guy that has perfected the art of pleasure for 3000 years. But I feel like Leela kind of when on about it too much in their initial smexy times. It didn't seem to happen during the other scenes and I am probably not really explaining myself well...did I mention that these reviews are basically a bunch of poop?!

Anywoo, we get multiple POV in this which I love when it is done well...and friends, it was done well in this book. Say hello to Stas and Issac, Vera and Sethios (swoon, Sethios, how you doin'?).

We have globe jumping action, smoking hot steamy times and a big climatic scene worthy of B and Leela...see what I did there? And as always, we are left at the end of the book wondering what fresh hell Osiris will bring next time. So, as usual, you should probably stop reading my insane review and read something worthwhile instead - like this book.

I received an ARC and because my husband starting watching Arcane on Netflix when I clearly said that I wanted to watch it and that I clearly said that I had to do a review first...but did that stop him, nooooooo he is still watching it, despite my death stares. What a minute, he has caught on, paused it and said that he will restart the last 13mins so that I can watch it too. Now what was I saying, oh yes, I have given an honest review (because lets face it, no one would make this shit up!)

What…a…rush.

Emotionally and physically. This is perfection.

Welcome back to the Immortal Curse world, where we rejoin our favorite sexual deviants with hearts of gold.

This book is all about Balthazar and the mysterious sensual Leela. Lexi could have taken the easy way out and made this just a walking sensual masterpiece with a little action thrown in, but instead, she made it so much more. There’s heart, feeling, and twists that NO ONE anticipated.

Plus special guest appearances from Stas and Issac. Who doesn’t love that?

Balthazar is truly the king of emotion. While fiery and passionate, he feels things more acutely and understands what others feel on the deepest of levels. It makes this adventure a firestorm, where no one can possibly anticipate the plot twists that make the world just so much more intriguing.

That is one of Lexi’s greatest strengths as an author. She has the ability to twist a story in a major way, but that doesn’t feel cheap or pointless. While many authors use plot twists just to shake up the storyline and get the shock factor, it seems Lexi has planned these all along and while unanticipated, make perfect sense.

It’s just…wow.

I’ve read every single Lexi C. Foss book, and I can say whole heartedly: this is the best.

Thank you for the adventure. Can’t wait for the next.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. This review and the opinions within are entirely my own.

NO WORDS!! WOW freaking loved this book soooo much. I have no idea how to give this book the justice that it deserves in my review, struggling to put down the words about how i feel about this book as it was EVERYTHING!

This has got to be my favourite series EVER and that is saying something as i have a few that i totally love but WOW this world that Lexi has created i can't get enough of. We are back with one our favourite couples of Balthazar and Leela, i knew this story about these two sexual characters was going to be explosive and i wasn't let down at all as PHEW! they was just so hot together it nearly melted the pages!!

This was heart in your mouth book that will leave you physically and emotionally drained with how this story was infolding with a few twists that you won't see coming, We get multiple POV which was great as we got to here from Issac & Stas and come on who doesn't just love this couple. That ending has me wanting to here about Luc's story and how this will unfold for him, can't wait for more from this amazing world of the Immortal Curse. Huge 5*stars.

Wicked Bonds❤️

Wow, I thought the story for Sethios and Caro was heartbreaking and my favourite but it’s safe to say after finishing Wicked Bonds, Lee and B are my favourite couple and their story was certainly unexpected and surprising but also steamy and can I just put it out there….pancakes🤩😂

This story was absolutely phenomenal and once again the author has me completely enthralled in this world and wanting more❣️I am so excited to read Luc’s story next and that epilogue….blew my mind😱

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest review😍

Well, if you’ve felt the previous books didn’t have enough spice, then this is for you! Personally, it was way too much sex for me. I had to skim through sooooo much so many times just to get back to the plot. Which, the plot is awesome, just very disappointed in the sex overshadowing it in this installment.

When Lexi posted the link to download an ARC of Wicked Bonds I didn't hesitate to do it, although I DON'T have time to read, that's why I do audiobooks, I just couldn't wait for this audiobook. So I out on hold everything else while enjoying some pancakes with B & Leela.

There are many things I want to say about this book, but it's so hard without giving anything away. Let's just start by saying that it was fabulous, fantastic, amazing... I think it's the best of the series though far. B & Leela's story was everything I was expecting and much more, because to be honest I wasn't expecting some of the things that happen I could have never imagined because there wasn't anything that gave it away, but it was so good and I enjoyed every single page, wishing to be able to read faster to finish it, but also don't wanting to finish it. They are perfect for each other equals in every way, and there's no one better for them.
I loved that we get to read some of the other characters POV specially Stas & Issac, I love them so much that being with them again is the best.

Stas is such a badass, pink feathers and all 😂, I love how she's still sulking about her plumes color, simply adore her.

Osiris... well he's something alright... an enigma I don't really comprehen nor will I try to because it's impossible.

And least but not less important ELIZA... Wow...just wow...

I can't wait for Blood King it is going to be EPIC.
And I also can't wait for the audiobook of Wicked Bonds to come out so I can listen to B&Leela.

I love this series and Balthazar is my favorite character but I really did not like this book. There was a story but it was a very short story hidden in an entire book of lust between Balthazar and Leela. Although the story revolves around why Balthazar is the way he is, I just couldn't get into this book like I did the others. I'm still going to read the last book of the series and I'll still continue to follow this author.

And more smut :)

Ill probably never give the series credit for excellent worldbuilding, or a story without massive plot holes. But as a friend jokingly pointed out to me (via a meme of course) if you are reading a romance novel and upset about plot holes.. you might be worried about the wrong hole. Which is crude but right to the point.

Anyway here we have the author really just taking the limits off of just how many steamy scenes she can put in a single book. Its a full length affair, so it doesnt have that tight focus of the novella previously, but she makes up for it with sheer quantity.

It is somewhat sad to say that this is a character pair in the story that has been teased and has been wanted for a while. But with the two most hypersexual characters in the series so far pairing off the writing quality of the *important* scenes somewhat fell off and got unfortunately repetitive, when you have two characters who are a libidinous as these two and who each have renowned proficiency at the act its somewhat hard to keep up with expectations and making the quality in writing match the quality you might imagine.

As for the book itself.. I cant help but wonder if the author changed editors here or if maybe there was trouble with the book being a bit longer than any of the others. There were a few simple things even word might pick up, like a duplicated word here or there. And at least twice there was clearly a sentence missing from *somewhere* that completely derailed the cadence of the writing.

Thats not to say its bad, it has its struggles. But it has many shining moments ranging from character based, wholesome, action and all the way back around to just steamy. It also starts talking about consent a lot more explicitly which is frankly just hot. So. Yeah.

Its urban fantasy romance, YMMV ;)

Ah, Balthazar..😍

I adored him throughout the entire series and I was so hyped to get his and Leela's book, finally!

I'm not sure I have much to say about this installment. It was a little long winded at times, mostly to the point of B or someone else explaining things to me that I already knew. Which was a bitttt frustrating, but otherwise everything was solid. It was likely due to my exhausted attention span lately.

I loved getting to unravel B and Lee's true history and the heartbreak surrounding their timeless love. I had a feeling it'd been something of the sort but man, the manipulation and torture they both endured through the years was so tragic. I hated that for them. I was so glad when we finally got all the details out in the open and Lee got her some revenge on her half sister. I laughed so hard 😂 but I also just loved loved lovedddd that Leela had such a profound effect on Balthazar. She quite literally was what made him into the man we meet in book one, without knowing this of course. I loved the symbolism of that.

This definitely set up things for whatever is to come in the next book or books. I'm so ready for Luc and Eliza's story and to figure out wtf he was doing getting on that yacht with youknowwho! And Eliza trying to figure out her new abilities...yeah, girl needs some guidance so Luc needs to get his head out of his ass and help her.

This book was a little slow starting for me because the primary couple are not my favorite couple. I think B’s character is fun and flirty but I’ve never really connected with him before. Added into the mix the mystery of Leela and it’s just been a little slow for me to cotton on. I will still say that B isn’t my favorite character. If I were to rank him, he’d be like 5 or 6 down the line. So I think this was the reason for my slow pace at reading.

However….

This didn’t detract from the storyline whatsoever! I loved the continuity and the fluidity in which the story progresses. I love the little ‘cut-to-scenes’ of the various other characters in the series. I enjoyed the camaraderie between character couples and secondary characters and I love that the original baddie is given a FYI into why they are the way they are. It makes you understand their motives just that little bit more. Even though, knowing this author, there will be so many more fun twists & turns.

I will also say this. This authors imagination & world building, is off the charts! Every scene is once that the reader is able to imagine. I love that!

I’m really looking forward to seeing how the other characters stories pan out. This is another triumph for this author!

I was anticipating Wicked Bonds so much mainly because I love this series and also I won a competition Lexi ran to have my name appear in it . Not only did Lexi use my name (Mrs Spriggs) she also used Bella my dog who we lost in February due to a tumour on her spleen 😭
Lexi really got Bella’s character down to a T Bella loved to climb on your knee even though she was too big to sit on anyones knee she still tried daily 😂 This book has you questioning everything that’s happened in previous books , who really is the bad guy ? It shows the unfeeling side of the Seraphim and a side to Osiris I never thought I would see. Luc has a lot on his shoulders trying to protect everyone and do what’s right whilst dealing with his own demons and Stas just wow that’s all I can say as I don’t want to spoil it for you.
I have never cried at a book but I did cry reading the chapter with Bella and Lola in.

You'll want to strap in tight for this one!

" Except betrayal... betrayal destroyed everything. Even blood."

I knew B's story would be sensuous-
Hello, it's B -
what I wasn't prepared for was the level of angst that occurred
I don't want to risk spoilers just know when the truth was finally exposed I felt my heart crack just a bit
To have so much stolen from them

Leela was everything I expected.
Stas delivers a blow that may change everything
Luc is still having trouble accepting/processing the loss of Aiden and his own feelings towards a newly converted
A certain villainous "O" still has me on the fence. He claims their end game is the same but it's how he goes about getting there that is bothering me. Though I did see a chance for reformation
And the seraphim council??? Just wait for it
Oh! Oh! before I forget
Sweet innocent Eliza has a secret 🤫
So many twists and OMG moments - like I expected anything less
This does set the tone for Luc's story

Out of this world

I can’t stop devouring these books. Simply sensational addition to the series.
B is drawn to Lee on a level he hasn’t felt before. He is the ultimate playboy. Never one for a single relationship hell not one for a relationship at all. He likes to share. He’s not fussed about gender either but Lee, well he wants her for himself. But does she?
Lee. A fertility seraphim. Oh she gives B a run for his money. On a level with the kind of thing B is into. They have shared a weekend in Brazil together but he knows nothing about it. Lee doesn’t want him to. It complicates matters. She is here to protect Stas and no distractions are going to stop her and B is definitely a distraction.
Coupled together to help cause a diversion has them up close and personal though.
Packed full of everything we’ve come to love in this series but just a little more sexy as you would expect with B.

WOW! I anxiously waited for Balthazar and Leela's story, and Foss did not disappoint! From start to finish, this book stayed true to these characters, and revealed an amazing backstory that was full of love, steamy reconnection, and SHOCKING revelations of the past. I did not see the twists coming, but once again Lexi continues to reveal this world to not only the reader, but to the characters as well. All our beloved characters are back, and play an interictal part in the battle that takes place, though the war is far from over. I love how Foss completes the current story she's telling, but the final scene leads us onto the next shocking continuation of the world that leaves readers eagerly anticipating the next book. I recommend this entire series to anyone that loves paranormal romance, and loves a storyline driven, sexy read.

I have no words for this book. While I have always loved B in the other books, I didn’t truly connect with him until this book. The character build and depth for B in this book, shot him to tops of my list of favorites in this series. If you’ve read the rest of the series (Highly recommend this so you don’t miss important story building pieces) then you know only a truly special woman would be able to truly effect B. Leela couldn’t be a more perfect match for B. My emotions have been all over the place.
I was sobbing when Lola showed up. If you follow Ms Foss on social media, in her FB group, or read the inscription at the beginning of this book, you know how deeply emotional this is. I was not prepared, even though I knew Ms Foss wrote her in the story.
I Highly recommend reading this book

First of all I have to say that B has been and always will be my favourite hero in this (and probably all) Lexi's worlds.

Now, I can admit I was a little scared that B and Leelas book would not live up to the internal hype in my head, but I was totally blown away by their story.

I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading this book. So much passion, caring, love. It felt as if my Kindle could have burst from it all.

And of course with one breath, Lexi's beautifully crafted story, with all its questions and plots are neatly tied up, and in the very next breath she just explodes a whole bunch of new and very WTF questions and plots on the page.

Seriously woman, you're killing us here!

I bought this on release day and started reading it that same day! Between work and parenting duties I whipped through it in less than 3 days. Wicked Bonds is full of not only wickedly steamy scenes, but also wicked twists to keep you on your toes. There are some chapters told from supporting characters POV too. I’ll admit I was initially hesitant about this, but I really appreciated it in the end because it helped round out certain parts of the story for me. There are so many twists and Easter eggs in this book. I may even need to do a full re-read just so I can absorb it all again fresh!! I can’t wait to see where things go next!! Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys PNR. Strongly suggested to read in order. Happy Reading!!

Ok not as good as the rest

I enjoyed the storyline of this book. I like Leela's and Balthazars journey.

The sex scenes in this are...well there's a lot and I'm not sure if I liked it. I find the last one to be highly pointless and I just skimmed through that chapter. Mostly because the whole chapter repeated what was said through out the book regarding how perfectly matched they are.

The been said I liked the fact the book wasn't solely B's and Lee's POV. I liked that's we got Stas and Isaacs. I hope that continues in the next one and I have a hope for a third Stas and Isaac book.

What a ride!

Wow, Balthazar and Leela's story was... I'm at a loss for words actually! So so very good! I loved the story, I really enjoy how the author not only tells a story about the two main characters but she also weaves in events that are happening in the entire Immortal Curse Series world. She has a beautiful way of storytelling that intertwines all of the characters and events together while still allowing us to enjoy the two main characters for that particular story. As I have said for previous books, I cannot wait to read the next story and find out what happens. I really am truly enjoying this entire series!

Not the best in the series

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but there was too much spice and not enough meat in this story. At this point, I'm invested in the series, and I'm in it to get the remainder of the story. I found myself skimming many pages because there were entire chapters of nothing but "intimate relations." I understand that was Balthazar and Leela's thing (they are both very sensual beings). I really need the rest of the story, and I'm hoping it's in the next book.

Balthazar is a fan favourite character, so his and Leela's story would have to be something amazing to do them both justice. Wicked Bonds goes above and beyond my expectations for this.

Lexi C Foss has a talent for taking you on an unexpected journey. I never see these twists coming until I'm right in the thick of it, and when I get to the HFN/HEA I realise it could never have been done any other way.

B and Leela are both known for their free love approach to life. So how do you write an epic love story for them without stifling their personalities and desires? Hmm that would be telling wouldn’t it.

This book is the steamiest so far, Issac pops in to give B a run for hottest scene. The big reveals move us along in the overarching story. Allegiances shift. New enemies are given names. Battles are fought. Basically this story has everything you could want, plus pancakes.

I'm still reeling over the ending of Wicked Bonds. Like what did I just read?! My mind was utterly blown.

In true Lexi fashion, she is the Queen of world building, and the give and take of questions and answers. You learn SO much in this book, but you are left to wonder with so much more.

There is angst, and romance, and battle! About 80% I had a WTF moment and though, no way is this going to wrap up. Sure enough it did, my mind was blown and now I'm read for Luc and Eliza.

omg! that was awesome

Holy cow! What a whirlwind of information and hot sex! This book covered so much info, and so much love between the couples. And man leela and Balthazar were on fire. I loved reading the different characters and all the twist and turns. I can not wait for luc book.I’m dying with this cliffhanger. Shocked as hell that he is talking so much to oarsis. Which is not good. I’m not sure how I’m gonna wait till his book.🤷‍♀️😥

OMG OMG… 1000 out of 10 recommend

Well, she did it again!!! I LOVE every book Lexi has written but this is my ALL TIME favorite series!!!
I knew Leela and B’s story would be intense and it definitely DID NOT disappoint!!! I was connected to these characters since the beginning with Issac and Stas…. you root for them, laugh with them and cry for them.
Waiting a whole year for Luc’s story to come out sucks! Lol.
