After her older sister refuses to go to an arranged marriage meeting with Takane Saibara, the heir to a vast business fortune, high schooler Hana Nonomura agrees to be her stand-in to save face for the family. But when these two utter opposites pair up, get ready for some sparks to fly!
Takane accompanies the Nonomura family to Kyushu, where Hana’s grandparents live, so that he can celebrate the new year with them and get to know them better. But when Hana’s grandfather becomes enraged with him, what will Takane have to do to get his engagement to Hana out of jeopardy?
It’s ironical how the author doesn’t shy away from the fact that the romance is somewhat illegal. I feel as if I’ve really become numb to it now. Now almost at the end after 18 volumes I feel bittersweet to let go of this book.
I reallllly don’t wanna wait for December to read the final volume of this series but I also never want it to end!! I’m not ready to let the characters go yet!
Honestly the character development in this series is so great, the characters grow and change so much through the series it’s so well done. This is one of my favourite longer series I’ve read in a long time, I just they’re so cute!! This volume made me so happy but it was also so bitter sweet bc it’s coming to and end
SQUEEEE!!! I’m writing this review with the biggest smile on my face! They’re married! And true to Hana and Takane form, they both proposed to get the job done. This volume was everything!! Im hoping the final volume has a few kisses in it, but man this series is adorable! I LOVE the hilarious art style. When Takane gets cocky, his face is hilarious. Hana with her adorable little piece of hair sticking up. It’s so perfect.
I’m soooo excited for the final volume to be released in November!!!

AHHHHHH!! I think this volume has became one of my favorites! SO good!! Truly never a dull moment with these two and can't even say anything about it without going into spoilers! GAH!
Okay, maybe SOME things! The opening chapter was perfect! I really really really enjoyed it, especially in light of everything that happens later. Talk about intense!! Was definitely surprised at how an earlier character redeemed their past self.
But ahhh that conversation with the Chairman! That was good!! I loved everything that took place and the choice that Hana ended up making!
SO excited for the end even if I'm sad that I'm about to finish the series!
Chapters 91 - 95: The New Years chapters in the beginning of this volume when Takane, Hana, and her family go to visit Hana's grandparents was a lot of fun. I also enjoyed the storyline surrounding Takane and Hana coming clean to Takane's Grandfather about everything and how that conversation turned out. The last chapter in this volume with Takane and Hana skiing was also really cute. I a really looking forward to reading the next volume in this series.
I love this series. This volume skips over a few seasons and opens with New Year festivities in which Takane meets Hana's grandfather. 😬 🤣 These characters have grown so much over the series. I'm especially proud of Hana's growth since Takane is still so immature for his age. 😂 And yay for the ending! But also 😭 because I don't want it to end.
I devoured the series over the course of a couple of months. Took a little longer than I hoped because a few of them decided to take forever from Amazon. Hana ends up roped into taking her older sisters place in a marriage match never expecting that anything would come from it. Instead a we get a very sweet comical whirlwind romance between her and Takane.
I ended up reading the first one and instantly ordering the rest of them it's such a cute series kind of a enemies to lover romance between them. I loved Hana she's an adorable character and I think because of her I'm going to do bubblegum pink hair next. Each manga has the pair growing as characters. Takane had a lot of growing to do but he get's there eventually.
The artwork is as equally lovely as the story. I was captivated right from the start and fell in love with Hana and Takane's story. This is one of my favorite series that I'm so glad I purchased the set. They will always have a special place on my bookshelf and I know they will get some re-reads as I wasn't ready to say goodbye just yet. I plan to read the authors other manga as I loved this one so much. Highly recommend a perfect sweet romance.
Well, everything is falling into place. Even trouble-minded relatives can't stop it now.
Takane and Hana (and her father) confess the truth to "the old man" (Takane's grandfather). He reveals that he knew all along what was going on, and reveals that he'd been keeping tabs on Takane and Hana. He gives his blessings. Then meddling relatives, jostling for top positions in the company, try to ruin Takane by anonymously giving pics and a story to a national tabloid about Takane (27) and Hana (17). However, the cousin tasked with the expose is none other than the one who kidnapped Hana all those volumes back. He secretly prepares two stories, one he presents to his mother, who wants to lead the company when the old man is gone. So this cousin instead sends a fluff piece to a teenage gossip column about how Takane prefers red boxer briefs, and loves to ride horses. Another crisis averted. Well, when Takane and Hana met with the old man, Hana, in desperation, pulled out a fully filled out marriage application. All it needed was Takane's signature. So, after getting Takane to sign it, the old man takes off. Meanwhile, Takane and Hana head on a skiing trip. The old man calls out of the blue & informs them that he's at city hall, in line to turn in the application. Takane freaks out, because there's one little detail missing - Takane has never actually proposed to Hana! Well that gets resolved in an overly dramatic way, and the volume ends with the old man walking up to the counter. By the way, I won't tell you whether Hana said yes or no... or something else! You'll have to read it to find out!
That made me smile so much! We've finally circled back to the original plot point and it wrapped up so nicely. I'm very curious to see what the final volume brings. I suspect I'll cry like a baby because there won't be anymore stories with these two lovable dorks.
Things seemed to move a bit faster in the volume since the story is wrapping up. Thankfully I didn't feel as if there were any wasted scenes/chapters. The only downside I can think of was the conflict with Takane's aunt. I mentioned in a previous review that the conflicts weren't extended too long but this time I think that was a negative thing. The whole thing only last one chapter and because of that didn't hold any real weight. In this volume we also finally get to see Takane talking to his grandfather about his relationship with Hana. The initial reaction went exactly how I thought it would go. I don't want the series to end but I'm ready to see how the wedding is!
Takane gets to meet Hana's grandparents (and her grandfather is one scary guy when he decides Hana must be protected at all costs. The way they finally bond is beautiful and wholesome and made me really happy. I think this is mostly because we get a glimpse with Hana's mother and grandmother together what Hana will be like as she grows older (and also what Takane will very likely be like as well.
In the end, they have to face off against another grandfather. Hana has some real guts here, as she takes a stance with the assistance of her father which even takes Takane by surprise. Really awesome volume!
AAA FINALMENTE BASTA COMPLICAZIONI!!!

It took me a while to into this volume because it's been a while since I've read this series, but I fell into it pretty quickly. Takane is still so annoying, but it was more endearing in this volume. This one made me laugh out loud a few times and the art style is really nice. This isn't my favorite shoujo, but I still really like this series and I'm looking forward to the reading the last volume.
Almost at the end! Takane meets Hana’s grandparents and Takane tells his grandfather the truth about his marriage partner! We get Takane’s aunt trying to sabotage him but his cousin coming to the rescue! Also the marriage certificate gets submitted and Takane finally asks Hana to marry him! All in all a fun volume.

It wasn’t my favorite of the series, but there were still plenty of laughs involved. I love all the characters in this manga, I think the story is adorable, it never fails to crack me up. Definitely a buy.
